Ok. So, we eat out a lot. I mean a lot. Indian food is a favourite but never, seriously never have we had Indian food as good as this. Soft doughy naan breads. Truly tasty curries. Absolutely the best Indian food we have ever had. Great service & friendly staff too.

Superb meal, the Mutton Railway Curry was so delicious. We had stopped at the pub for a drink but were tempted to stay for the food at the Indian Lodge. Excellent menu and great value too...we will return when next in the area.

This was a takeaway. Amongst other things I ordered chicken pakora but when I got home I realised it was potato pakora. Overall a disappointing experience. The chap who took my order over the 'phone was very pleasant though.

Ordered a Balti and asked for it to be madras hot. What was delivered was neither a Balti or spicy. Totally bland and tasteless. Reminded me of a 1980’s British pub curry effort.

Arrived at 22.07 on a Saturday night. A gleeful bald Indian chap who was mopping the floor said "shut mate" (I'm not his mate, far from it). No explanation or attempt to placate a now very annoyed potential customer. I glanced back outside (still light out, it is summer) I looked into the pub, in full swing. I asked, "did you shut 7 minutes ago"? No reply was given. I went back to. My narrowboat to check I wasn't going bonkers. There it was! Open until midnight on Saturdays. No, I wasn't going bonkers, I had just encountered the "don't give a stuff" brigade who enjoyed their moment of power over me.

We ordered a vegetarian takeaway with poppadoms. The poppadoms were really good with no excess oil and the chutney accompaniments were delicious.Between 2 of us we had side dishes of channa massala, baigan bartha, bhindi and tarka dhall, with steamed rice and a peshwari naan. All were very tasty, not oily and not too hot.Pick up was quick and easy and everyone friendly and helpful. The menu is quite small by Indian restaurant standards, but everything we had was excellent.

We live in Crick and ordered a takeaway post COVID lockdown. The food was excellent. One of the best Indian meals we have had for a number of years. We had to wait 20 minutes from the point of order by phone. Friendly staff! Highly recommended

One of our favourite Indians for a local meal, has now turned to takeaway, to enable a change of cook in our houshold. A lovely change for the evening-ordered in advance to maintain social distance rather than waiting in the bar, but.....prompt service and ability to collect and eat in the home. A friendly local face or 2 (at correct distance) when collecting also raised a smile.

Lovely welcoming staff... nothing too much trouble. Great menu. We have eaten there twice and both times we were delighted with our fantastic meals. Lamb Sagwalla is amazing. We moor our boat nearby and the Indian Lodge now comes high on the list of reasons why we moor at Crick. Can't wait to get back. It's like a favoured local restauarant... shame it is 117 miles from our house or we would go weekly!

I live in the village and eat here about once a week. I love eating alone with a book for company and this is a great place for that. The staff are just brilliant - they remember my order and are always really friendly and welcoming. Even on really busy evenings they've managed to squeeze me in. The quality of the food is wonderful. I've taken family members and work colleagues who also really love it too. The drinks are operated by the pub so yes, if it's a noisy quiz night or a band is playing you'll hear it. It also means that you can eat in the garden or have a cheeky snack at a bar table...All in all, a great addition to the village.

We have visited the Indian Lodge 3 times now. On each occasion the service is good and the food is also very nice. The added bonus of this restaurant is that it is tacked onto the side of a pub serving a good selection of beers.

We have been here twice in the last few weeks and both time great service and very tasty food. We all thought it was good value for money and the staff were very pleasant. They do a good selection of vegetarian dishes. In particular I would like to comment that the food isn't greasy with lots of oil unlike some other Indian restaurants that I have been to. The room is airy and light, we went on a particularly hot evening and they had fans going to make the room a very comfortable temperature. I would thoroughly recommend the Indian Lodge.

Friends recommended this restaurant so we gave it a visit. It was a Friday evening and the bar which you have to negotiate to get to the restaurant was mobbed. There was a bouncy castle in the garden at the back and as the doors were open kids were racing back and forth. We asked to move table but the waiter observed the mayhem and apologised saying he was closing the doors. The staff were all very attentive and helpful. We were given an appetiser on the house as the waiter felt we had to wait longer than normal although we really didn’t feel we did. The food was excellent and I would try it again. Just a few tweaks needed. Be prepared to settle the bill in two parts as the drinks go through the bar. Perhaps more a location for a group and less for a cozy dinner for two.

We often visit Crick on our boat and last time this restaurant linked to the village pub was fully booked. This time we booked a table which mid-week wasn't necessary. Indian food is our speciality - we know what we are looking for and eat a lot of it. This place we graded 8 of 10. The food was authentic, tasty and freshly prepared. The negatives were - value for money - portion size a little mean, owner/senior waiter was on the miserable side and a tad expensive around £10 more than we usually spend on such a meal - around £50 for starter, main course, sides and rice. Would we visit again? Yes most definitely.

There's something about the food at the Indian lodge. It tastes fresher than your usual Indian restaurant. It has a very distinctive home-cooked taste. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the ambiance is classy without being pretentious. Take-aways are excellent too.

A group of 8 of us visited The Indian Lodge for dinner. The staff were attentive and friendly. The ambiance was fair. Our food was plentiful and we all agreed very nice. The only negatives are the restaurant is part of a busy pub which is good but quite noisy. The ladies toilets are a bit awkward, leading into the men’s?!

We were lucky enough to win a competition to receive a free meal at the Indian Lodge, Crick. It was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The staff were lovely and the food was really delicious. I really like the fact that it is a small menu unlike other Indians which bombard you with endless choices. The starters in particular are very interesting and I chose a vegetarian option which I had never had before. It was really tasty. The mains were full of flavour. The wine we chose was also excellent. I really like the decor, it is modern but still intimate with plenty of ambience. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a fantastic evening.

I have used the Indian Lodge restaurant on a number of occasions with friends & family, the quality of service compliments the quality of the food. Every dish is fresh, fragrant and well presented. The restaurant is attached to the Royal Oak Pub in Crick and in a unique way, the restaurant and pub can either combine your experience in the way that they compliment each other or enable an independent experience for you to enjoy.

I went to the Indian lodge for my birthday meal. The staff are wonderful and attentive, friendly and professional! The food was incredible. Not being able to tolerate spice but appreciating milder dishes I had tikka masala and it is probably the best one I've had! Would totally recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family and will definitely be visiting more often.

I have been here many times and had a couple of takeaways as well and have never been disappointed. Very generous portions and fantastic flavours every time. If you are sure of what you like they will make you something more suited or adapt something from the menu to make it to your taste with no complaints. The lamb is always so lovely and difficult not to choose even though the other meats are just as lovely. I have also heard nothing but good things about the fish! The staff are always very welcoming and treat you very well. It helps that there is a pub with proper ales available too so you can really make it what you want! Absolutely recommend to everyone even if you’re not keen on the cuisine as they have alternative options as well. Can’t wait until I go back again!

This is a really fabulous Indian restaurant, with a good range of food for vegetarians. My only slight disappointment was that some of the more 'classic' Indian foods weren't available. Also, it's really hard to find if you don't know that access is though the pub, it should be more clearly signed. Overall, I would still recommend a visit!

Ordered online, order was confirmed and was charged. Went to the location to pickup and saw it was shutdown due to Health Hygiene issues (photo evidence attached). My order was confirmed, which usually requires someone approving the orders as they come in, so they were eager to take my money, but not so eager to clean the kitchen to a NYC standard (which isn't terribly high). Will not be going back there again, if they ever open again. Big if, as the city may be better off without Chef 28...

We have been coming here for years but on the last few visits the service was intermittent and the food not as good as usual. Tonight was the last straw. Arrived 6:25 and ordered poppadoms promptly. I accept the restaurant was busy but with only two staff serving, there was a lot going out of the kitchen in paper bags with those who had come for a sit down meal left to wait. The starters arrived moderately promptly but the onion bhaji I ordered were the worst I have ever tasted in 41 years off eating curry. Cold and uncooked. We waited for the main course but saw other tables who entered after us served ahead of us. We gave them until 7:45 and left. My wife paid them for what we had eaten but there was neither apology nor recognition of the appalling service. We will not be going there again.,
