Visited here for a birthday recently and had an absolutely fabulous time! The staff were attentive and friendly, the atmosphere relaxed, and the food exquisite. Everything we ate was beautiful to the eye and delicious to taste. Portions are big, too. Would highly recommend.

We regularly have the pleasure of dining at Nepalese Vansa Ghar in Stamford, and it’s an experience to remember. From the moment we walk in, we are warmly greeted by Lailaa, whose hospitality and attentiveness make us feel instantly at home. Came with my husband and two children to this resturant. Great first experiance, good service and attentive staff. Love the veg momos and goat curry😍 definatly recommend and will be back. Thank you!

We visited and had various items on the menu. We’d chosen this restaurant due to the good trip advisor score, however we won’t be going back anytime soon The good is the staff, very friendly, nice atmosphere and comfortable. The bad was the food. The sauces were finely blended and over sweet. The chicken was reconstituted, served as large rectangular blocks. Not every dish, but you’d expect to see recognisable meat for every plate. The following day no one felt great and it’s a shame.

The starters are fantastic, as is the service and atmosphere. What let it down for me is that the main dishes tasted far too sweet. And all a bit similar.

We ordered a few items....but the favorite was the Salmon Tikka and the Naan bread. The salmon was perfect! The naan bread was some of my favorite of all time. I've traveled the world and eaten at many authentic restaurants like this; they truly had the flavor set right. Lailaa was incredible; excellent, warm service. It would be a wonderful thing to have Lailaa at every restaurant I've been too.

This Is definitely the best curry house in Stamford. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing with depth of flavour and spices. We would not go anywhere else. The chicken karahi and Himalayan hotpot so tasty

Attended with work colleagues for a meal. Absolutely superb. Highly recommend lamb chops and Himalayan Hot Pot. Great heat and flavour.

The depth of flavour is far greater than a run of the mill Indian/Nepalese restaurant. The chef specials are the way to go. Chunky, rich, deep sauces. Very impressive.

Restaurant was quiet on a Sunday evening. I had a vegetable thali which was, quite honestly, one of the best meals I have had. Very tasty, nicely spiced, a nice variety of curries with properly cooked vegetables, and a superbly light and crispy onion bhaji. Can't fault it..friendly staff, nice vibe, really good food.

We ate here last night and thoroughly enjoyed great food with amazing flavours and friendly service. onion bhajis were delicious as they were so crispy. Chicken shashlik, tender and nicely spiced. Naan bread thin and crispy just as we like it. If you would like a great curry in Stamford I’d highly recommend you visit Vansa Ghar. Thankyou for a delicious Indian meal which was perfect in the very way!

We ate here Sunday night and both tried the special platter Dhal Bhat. One vegetable the other chicken. Never having tried this before it was a great selection and reasonably priced at £16.95 each. The individual dishes looked quite small initially, however we were both full when we finished. We also had a bottle of wine.

We’ve eaten here a few times and always the food is excellent (better than any other curry in Stamford) with lovely staff and reasonable pricing.

Evening meal on a Saturday night was incredible! Heard amazing things from family and friends so decided to try it out. Ordered x3 main dishes, x2 mushroom rice, saag aloo, poppadoms and a garlic naan to share between a few people and was plenty of food. Amazing balance of spicy and delicious. Best Nepalese/Indian food in the area and my partner has found a new favourite after being loyal to a previous competitor the past 5+ years! Took a takeaway menu leaflet and will be returning. Staff lovely. Would recommend.

Discovered this restaurant whilst exploring Stamford. The food was really tasty and the service was top notch and very friendly. Just wish this place was nearer my home as i would have become a regular customer.

Truly fantastic meal. Deliciously fresh and exciting menu. Much more interesting than Indian. The food is cooked beautifully with very little oil. Very fresh ingredients. Generous portions and so healthy. Really very nice ambience and very friendly relaxed staff. Highly recommend you dine in or take away.
