Very good. Dined in one evening, takeaway the next evening. Best curry we’ve had. Realise we’ve been getting ripped off by curry houses that bulk out their dishes with onions. Very good spicing. Recommended

Flavours were good but too much watery sauce and not enough chicken in chicken tikka masala, quick delivery, onion baji was cold but again flavours lovely so a shame. Onion pickle was amazing

It was ok I’ve ordered from here before and the food was fantastic .But this time I e got to say was it tasted burnt and way to much perfume spice . For the price all I can say is I’m disappointed

I came very first time in grantham and want to taste Indian asian and i came here. It's one of the best indian authentic tastes i get here. Highly recommend and staff was friendly. Must need music in restorent.

I was told the delivery was out for delivery and then they moved the delivery time out 45mins which meant the food was sitting in a delivery car for nearly an hour! Unacceptable.

The estimated order time was way less before I ordered, and again after I ordered the delivery time was way longer. So are we reporting early or late on the time given before you order or after 🤷🏻‍♀️ they should be the same but I know now how it is

super fast delivery 20 mins I did put a note on for No Coriander as I can't stand the taste , there was fresh coriander chopped into the food .Disappointly I didn't realise until I started eating! we have requested leave it out on previous orders

Superb food - the best curry we have had for a very long time. Hot, tender meat and full of flavour. The naan was light and perfectly cooked. Five of us all enjoyed our meal immensely and would definitely recommend. Service was excellent. The only slightly negative thing I could say was the lighting in the restaurant is a bit bright for me - could do with softening a little but apart from that, excellent - a little gem for Grantham!

Ordered a takeaway for four on NYE. I kmow its a busy night but terrible service.we ordered at just before 5.00, after 2 phone calls we got food at 6.45. However, after waiting so long, found one starter was missing and one portion of rice was missing, also one of the curries was not the one we ordered. Rang straight away about the missing items and were told they would be sent to us but they were never sent. So we are still out of pocket and our night was slightly ruined. You let yourselves down tonight gurkha square. This bad review was dealt with by gurkha Square in the following way: tonight 5/jan We received the exact same meal totally free of charge. The meal was delicious! Many thanks gurkha square. That how to turn an unhappy customer into a very happy one!

Excellent food 😋 definitely the best I have had in Grantham

First time coming on NYE came early at 5/5.30pm. Food was very flavourful, hot and tasty , a good menu. Service was friendly but felt like a few new staff working tonight so was a little unpolished. But everyone was very friendly. They were also very busy with takeaway delivery orders too. First time coming but will come back again or order for delivery if available too. We had lamb saag, mango chicken, garlic naans, tandoori lamb chops, chicken tikka. Pilau rice, masala.

Ghurka Square is my favourite place for an Indian. I will have a takeaway most weeks. I have never been disappointed with the food. The Tikka masala that I usually have is the best I’ve had anywhere. And the Naans are exceptional. They are such nice people and the service is great, and always happy to tweak an order if I ask for any changes. I recommend frequently to friends and family and would suggest giving Ghurka Square a try.

Ordered from here a few times now and the food has always been delicious. Never had a bad meal between us. The staff were very friendly when I went in to collect. Would highly recommend!

Amazing food on New Year’s Eve. Very good value for money set menu and we really enjoyed our meal.

I do not know if I have bad luck with restaurants overthe festive period , tonight at the Gurkha started so promising ,drinks were served quickly ,then the poppadoms , the starters came quite quickly , but then everything seemed to stand still in the restaurant with hardly anyone getting served , this did not help with the management squeezing as many tables more they usually have , then the only movement seemed to be coming out of the kitchen was to serve the constant line at the bar who was waiting for takeaways, our main course came to the table after 50 minutes !!!!! after being reassured at least 3 times that it was on the way , my dish was ok ,but not as requested as madras hot , I did not want to complain as it might have took even longer to get it rectified, also the last beer that got served was as flat as a pancake of which we tried to get sorted but to no avail , after the meal was finished ,we then asked for the bill , as you can guess this took well over 20 minutes with prompting twice to receive , I can't complain about the waiters/waitresses of which they could have not done enough , but the management need to look at how they manage busy nights , it's not by putting extra tables in the restaurant, also it's not by taking unlimited takeaway orders

I have been waiting for over 2 hours for my order, no response from restaurant and I’m just getting the engaged tone on phone!

Order never turned up rang restaurant 16 times No answer!

Ordered around 7.20 its now 10.15 and still not arrived, phonejust ringing out or engaged

Ordered food and it was stone cold and an hour and 35 minutes late. Went to restaurant after over an hour late and they told me the driver had left. Got home. Still no food. Went back again and driver finally arrived after 1 hour 35 minutes. Very expensive and wouldn’t recommend. Will be going back to Everest Inn.

Same as last time Says 45mins max when you order Then you get an email saying over an hour but I was prepared for it this time!

The only comment I will make is when I was ordering it said 15-45mins delivery time but my confirmation said 1 hour to 1 hour 20 which is pretty poor. But then my delivery was an hour which I was ok with. Food was delish tho.

Good food and reliable on food quality - however delivery times have been getting worse and our last delivery was very late; I had to call after 30 minutes and it hadn’t even left the restaurant

The staff were so friendly, gentle and attentive. The restaurant was very calm and warm clean and tidy. The food was feast portions, superb presentation and offered great value for money. It was delicious, a lovely variety of flavours and options. Really tasty meal and walked away full and content.

Delivery quoted at 1645. On checking at 1715 order shown as delivered. Unable to get through on phone. Contacted Just Eat who provided a advised delivery of 1750 with apology. Food arrived at approx 1745, stone cold.

Excellent food, the best in Grantham. Lots of flavour and large servings.

The food was fabulous but the delivery was not. Estimated 30-60mins and was 1.5 hours. Totally unacceptable I’m only 1 mile from the restaurant! We will probably try once more and if the same happens go elsewhere.

Sadly not impressed. We had the 'Seafood platter'. It wasn't a platter at all, it was 1 scallop, 2 tiny chunks of salmon, one king prawn and tiny prawns all in a thin watery sauce. Like a watery chineese. Not much taste. £15 is a lot to charge for this.

The last 2 times we have ordered from here the delivery has been so late! The first time we waited 2 and a half hours for our food! We gave the benefit of the doubt and ordered again last night, where we waited an hour and 45 minutes! We will not be ordering from here again.

This restaurant was booked as a last-minute affair, & I wasn't disappointed the food & service was very good although the decor, in my opinion, could do with a refresh. The overall experience was very pleasant, and I would definitely go back again.

We haven’t actually eaten in the restaurant yet but we order from them frequently for takeout. The curries are amazing, we are obsessed. My only advice is give yourself enough time to order on the weekend because they get very busy so it can take a while! Nice employees also, we look forward to our Indian takeaway nights!!

Me and my friend went to Gurkha square last Sunday very quiet but food was lovely I had a chicken dish with spiced vegetables my friend the special both meals were smashing wine was nice as well service brilliant waiters help full well worth a visit .

I ordered a takeaway last night and found half chewed chicken from someone else's dish in my madrass. It was obviously from a korma type dish. If this ‘restaurant’ is involved in disgusting practices of ‘recycling’ meat from guest foods, this is deplorable. I feel sick just thinking about it. Do yourself a favour and AVOID

Took almost 2 hours to be delivered. Set meal for 2 was good value but food was very salty

Visited Gurkha Square eighteen months ago and had some really nice food there. As we were staying nearby Belton Woods Luxury Lodges, decided to take the family for another visit. We arrived after a visit around the Easton Walled Garden, the day was hot actually sunny, and we had spent hours exploring, so were pretty hungry. We ordered poppadoms and chutneys and pints of Cobra whilst perusing the ample Menu. We all chose large dishes such as Lamb Stew, House Special Mix Karahi with Pilau Rice Lemon/Coconut was especially nice and the side vegetable dishes were to.

So tonight for the first time. Very disappointed. Been ordering and eating in here for many years. Since it opened. Daughter went in to order and asked for chicken tikka masala - No chicken - just the sauce. Not hard but this is not what she got. Total waste of time, money and food. Atmosphere Zero - very frosty at home as she didn't like her curry sauce that was too spicy. She never liked anyone elses to swap with her either. FOOD - 2 stars as two of us were happy with ours, SERVICE - 1 as we got served just not what was asked for.

Enjoyed a delightful dinner with the esteemed ladies; the cuisine was exquisite.

A very lovely evening on Tues 25.06.24 with my 2 sons. The food was first class. One of the best Indians I've had for a long time. The service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I will strongly recommend.

I've eaten in and had a take away (15% off for collection, was a winner!) in the last week as I've been working in Grantham. Good, friendly service and tasty food! Many of the main dishes from the menu come with rice included. The Momos are sooo good. No complaints

We stopped the night in Grantham on our way to Norwich and and came across the Gurka Square. Never had Nepalese food before and it was truly delicious!! Excellent food, relaxing ambience and very good value. Would go again to Grantham just to eat there!!!

The Sunday buffet is delicious.

I always get delivery and decided to tip 20% tonight. Ordered from here many many times, and without fail they have always been perfect! My usual is a korma and most places are pretty bland. But honestly it's the most flavourful Korma I've ever had. It's always packed full of meat, whatever curry I chose!! Portions are more than what you get other places as well. And it's well worth the money!!

Had the set menu but couldn’t eat it all so asked if we could take it home the lad said NO 🤷🏻‍♀️ I said we usually do but he said we can’t with set menu …we had before 🤦‍♀️. We had paid for it so where’s the problem with taking the rest home …. Not sure if it’s changed hands or not Usually cotton napkins on table this time nothing & I noticed the table clothes were stained …. Normally we love it there and always tell people how nice it is But unfortunately this time we didn’t .. needless to say we won’t be going again

The food quality was satisfactory; however, enduring a three-hour wait for delivery, only to have to retrieve the order myself, was utterly unacceptable. Despite contacting the restaurant five times, I received inconsistent delivery times and explanations each time. It turned out they mistakenly delivered to No 14 instead of No 2, a baffling oversight compounded by their abysmal lack of communication. Furthermore, the offer of complimentary drinks for a £55 food order, which included delivery, in lieu of a full refund due to the manager's absence, was insulting. Thankfully, the order was placed through Uber Eats, allowing for a full refund to be processed. Whoever was left in charge tonight night should never be entrusted with such responsibility again.

Gurkha square never fails to deliver on food. Been ordering from this restaurant for years and I’ve never had a bad experience with the food! The butter chicken is amazing, so flavourful and creamy and the vegetable samosas are incredible. Delivery was a little late today so i called the restaurant and they we’re so polite. Food came shortly after and was well worth the wait!
