Spice Inn in South Holland

1 poor service cold food my partner got her curry but no rice when it’s arrived curry was cold- they was very but but even so

We often went to Spice Inn on Wednesday evenings to take advantage of the banquet night deal. On the last visit, it was a big disappointment. The food was very bland compared to previous visits. It was always very good in the past, but seems to have gone down hill. We have found a much better alternative locally, so probably won't be returning.

Takeaway dinner which we order regularly excellent food!! Had chicken tikka masala and King prawn madras with side dishes,all delivered hot and quick delivery. Best Indian food I have ever had.

Nice modern restaurant. Very good menu with rather unusual items on the menu. Had tandoori paneer cheese for starters. Very good. They only serve soft drinks so BYOB. Service was good. Prices reasonable.

Stopped in for a takeaway and thought it strange why it was so empty.... Got home, opened the bag expecting a feast when all it was was a couple of small dishes (barely mouthfulls!). Maybe 4 bits of chicken per dish, poppadoms came without the traditional 4 sides and for almost £40!!!

This is such a lovely Indian restaurant. It is by far the best in the area - we have been here about a dozen times now -each time bringing different friends to experience the wonderful food. The prawn puri starter is my favourite - a thin pancake stuffed with a spicy prawn and vegetable mix in a delicious sauce. I keep meaning to try other things but I enjoy it so much I always opt for it! I can't resist! The place is always immaculately clean and the food is always hot, tasty and beautifully presented. The staff are welcoming and efficient and always smiling. They do not serve alcohol so take your own - they provide glasses - but they do serve soft drinks. Perhaps one of the best nights to go is a Wednesday banquet night - try something new - try my prawn puri! And that reminds me - see you all tomorrow night!

3 of us went here for a graduation meal and the food was delicious and tasted very fresh. There is an extensive menu to chose from and one of our waiters was helpful regarding our choices. We took our own wine as they don't sell alcohol. My only quibble, is that one waiter leaned over my poppadoms and pickles, nearly putting his shirt sleeve in them, to grab the menu rather than walking behind me. That said, we would eat here again.

This restaurant is local to us but we had never been in to eat, so we did. It was a very hot evening and we ask to sit by the open door which was fine. The restaurant was not busy being a Monday evening but we were not pestered, our order was taken and we waited. My husband is a fussy eater and rarely is impressed so I was so happy when he said the meal was beautiful. We had mango lamb - fantastic, my husband had lamb madras - he loved it, the side dishes were all superb. We are so impressed with this restaurant and kept talking about the lovely meal all night. The bonus is that you can take your own booze. The prices are very reasonable and the food and service are excellent. This is our new favourite eatery, many thanks guys, great food.

Excellent in all respects. Friendly reception and prompt service, The poppadums and dips were particularly good.

Popped into Spice Inn with my husband for dinner. Have not been for quite a while, though have had a take away as well. The food was as usual, delicious. I had Butter Chicken (never had it before) with a Naan and hubby had Spice Inn special Biryani. Thoroughly enjoyed both meals. Restaurant was lovely and the guys were friendly, helpful and courteous. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had a lovely meal with great service and good atmosphere, clean and tidy. Great to be allowed to take your own drinks but can get soft drinks if required.

fancied an Indian so ordered online for collection, 2 stars I've given are 1 for the service and 1 for ease of online ordering and payment. food was ready at the time stated and staff were very polite and friendly on collection. Unsure sure if I went on an off day looking at the other reviews or the fact they had just opened for the evening but I found the Onion Bhaji tasteless, ordered a mint sauce only to find it came with it and a salad, no mention of that on the menu, only 75p but needs to be advertised. The lamb Biryani lamb chunks were very gristly dry and tough, the vegetable curry was swimming in oil as was the mushroom Bhaji, all I could taste was the oil on both, the stuffed paratha was soggy and tasteless, overall very disappointed, over half of the meal ended up in the bin. I've never had an Indian like this before sorry to say wont be returning or recommending, only tried it as the reviews were good and so many said it was better than my previous favourite which I will continue to use nearby.

This restaurant really surpassed our expectations! We stopped overnight in Holbeach on a long journey, and discovered the Spice Inn. Every part of the meal was great, from tasty and generous dips with the poppadoms to beautifully spiced mains - my Gosh -ka-salan had whole spices and was fragrant and spicy, they made us mango lassis on request, and our 11 month old enjoyed naan and raita. A really unusually good restaurant.

Visited for our anniversary meal. First time here. Friendly greeting. Comprehensive menu with reasonable prices. Food was delicious, plentiful and served efficiently. The restaurant was well presented , clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

We visited this restaurant with friends the other evening and we weren’t disappointed , we each chose something different from the menu , the aroma and tastes from the spices were out of this world and everyone enjoyed what they ate . We have tried many different Indian restaurants in the area but we have found this to be the best one around , the staff were friendly and the food was great and would certainly go back again when visiting the area again .

Ordered chicken biryani and chicken balti & mushroom bhaji, new to the area so won't going any where else for our curry fix, Excellent

First time visiting and certainly won't be the last. Food was hot and freshly prepared. Service was brilliant, staff are very friendly and helpful. Very light and airy restaurant, plenty of space between tables, not crammed in like some places. Good value for money. Great asset to the town

Our first visit to the Spice Inn will not be the last, place is spotless and the food excellent , we travelled from Spalding because after Spice Affair moved to Peterborough in my opinion there are no good Indian restaurant left in Spalding .We have eaten at many Indian Restaurants in this country and along with the Spice Affair this is one of the best we have tried the worst being one in York and one in the east end in London I would recommend this restaurant as it was recommended to us. We have travelled India a lot in our younger days and have eaten many parathas over there and in this country but the ones in the Spice Inn are not only tasty but also the most authentic, keep up the good work and good service. We will be going back soon.

Since I discovered the Spice Inn we've visited weekly apart from a Covid interruption! Food great, staff friendly and polite and venue very tidy, clean and modern.

Visited Spice Inn this evening. They were very busy. But the service was excellent. Very friendly staff. Food was best I had in a long time. Thank you and we will definitely visit you again soon.
