Amazing service and great atmosphere loved it all

Food arrived in very good time. However on opening and eating, the chicken, it was tougher than my old boots! And the onion bhajis were so hard from "Over Cooking", I couldn't get a spoon let alone a fork through either one of them.. I have eaten at the restaurant and the food was amazing however, if this is what I get with regards to delivery takeaway,, Then I will soon be dining elsewhere!

visited last night. Mu Mu dumplings and Papri chat for starters. Xacuti chicken and chicken Nepal as mains Kulfi for desert. No coffee or alcohol so cannot comment on those. All I can say is ‘excellent!’ 5/5 for food, staff and venue. Only negative would be it was a little cold, but it had only been open an hour. Highly recommend and would definitely go again if in the area. Do not be put off by the small frontage.

Probably the best curry I’ve ever had and I’ve tried quite a few over the years. Attentive service and an unhurried meal as well.

Ive only ever visited here once a good few years ago so with family visiting, we decided to come here again. We were not disappointed at all. Atmsophere was nice and not too hot considering the heatwave, all servers were kind & friendly but most of all, the food was delicious. Everything had nice flavours & spice where it should be. My father in law who is a lover of Indian food was very happy & mother in law who enjoys a latte after, said it was a nice coffee. Will definitely be visiting again in the future.

The food was excellent but we waited for an hour and a half for it from 7:30 until 9pm. The restaurant was full but he said that was normal for weekends. If so he should employ more staff as this length of wait is unacceptable. Frankly it puts me off going out to eat especially since the bill was £70 per couple.

Firsty and I’d like to point out that I’m very old and I’ve eaten in many Indian restaurants throughout the UK and abroad but I can honestly say this is by far the best food I have experienced. The flavours and quality of the food are superb and the service exceptional. I will call again even though I live in Sheffield. Thanks again for a wonderful dining experience

The customer service at this restaurant was amazing last night. I follow a low carb/minimal sugar diet for health reasons and the Manager was very willing and helpful with my requests for cauliflower and broccoli rice as a rice replacement. They also made me a chicken curry free from added sugar etc. Both were full of flavour. Starter: mushroom dish - again was delicious. Thank you for accommodating me when others are unwilling. I will definitely be back.

Starter Lamb Chops Tasty and moist not over cooked Could of done with fried onions and mint sauce but that’s my personal preference Main Lamb Buttana ( something like that lol) Tasty , spicy , moist lamb just bloody perfect Pilau rice was tasty not bland as many places Naan cooked fresh and cooked just right I will be back Oh try the Gurkha lager

I have been a regular customer for about 5 years. I come regularly with family and business clients. Service is always excellent. food is a tasty and fresh. Favourites special butter chicken and chilli chicken.

Wow, what a find. The entrance is just a door on the street but do venture upstairs. You will find delicious food. attentive service, beautiful linen napkins and tablecloths and comfortable seating . We chatted at some length to the owner and suggested he could perhaps have a little more appeal from the outside by showing lamps in the windows upstairs as it is not very inviting. A real choice of different food and I wish I lived nearer. I can also recommend the Murphy Vinyards Big River if you like a hearty shiraz!

We go here almost every week, would defo give it a try if you like indian cuisine! Fast service, lovely owner and staff, and over all amazing. The food is always a good temperature and always tastes great! The take away stays hot once home. The atmosphere in the restaurant is beautiful always clean and very aesthetic.

Absolutely delicious food, superb location for accessibility and parking. Every single one of the staff were super efficient, attentive, friendly, and helpful. The prices were 'spot on', presentation was lovely, and no waiting. The decor is lovely, with colour changing ambient lighting. The toilets were fresh, clean, great decor and well equipped. The atmosphere was buzzing, lively yet relaxed and extremely comfortable. The background music, was everso slightly irritating, however, my husband didn't even notice it, so it was probably just me 😆 Highly recommended 💯

We tried this restaurant for the first time and the food was amazing. We had starters and main courses with nan bread and rice. The food was served beautifully and the papadums were nice and fresh. This is one of the loveliest restaurant that I have eaten in and it was not too expensive. We had the window seats and it was just a lovely evening experience. My partner and I came for a meal on Friday evening just as they opened. We sat at the window and the ambiance was lovely. The staff were polite and prompt. We ordered lamb chops for starter and Prawn Purée. Both were amazing and full of flavour. For mains we had goat curry and king prawns with nan and rice. The food was served well and tasted great. We never realised how lovely the restaurant is and the food and staff were great. I definitely recommend those who have not tried to give it a go. The prices are very reasonable and worth the value. Will comeback with my friends to introduce them soon. Harry B.

It was our first visit and it won't be out last . The table we were offered was in the centre of the restaurant but we asked if we could have a table in a quiet corner and it was no problem. All the staff that came to our table were very nice and we had just the right amount of time in-between ordering and receiving our drinks and food. The food was served onto hot plates and was very nice. We thought it was a good potion size and very flavoursome. The only thing that we did not like was that the music was very loud. We will definitely visit again.

Lovely place. Best for this type of food in the area. Staff very friendly, portion sizes very generous but also delicious. Will definitely go back again. I would recommend booking as it was very busy.

I ordered a delivery which took one and a half hours to be delivered on a Wednesday evening. When it arrived the food was just about warm. Very disappointing indeed. Will not be ordering again such a shame.

Ate here on Thursday Night for the first time as we had noticed it always smelled good when we walked by!. We were not disappointed, the Food both starters and Main were awesome, and good sized portions too and reasonably priced. A lovely Birthday treat! The restaurant itself was lovely, clean and comfy and the staff all so friendly and helpful. The added bonus was when we found out that there was 20% discount on a Thursday night, which we didn't know. Looking forward to going again to sample some more of their lovely dishes. Just had the best indian meal ever by the quality of the ingredients to the way it was cooked and if you go thurs eve there is a 20% reduction off the bill.Would highly recommend The Gurgha Oven,thanks to all the friendly staff,we will be back.

Best Indian restaurant food we’ve had for ages. Naan beautifully freshly baked, I had Indian my wife had Nepalese dish we were very impressed

First time to this place on a Saturday night, couldn't believe how busy it was! Made a really nice atmosphere. All staff were very friendly and drink and food orders were taken quickly considering how many people were in. We have a few different starters and some of the chef special mains, everything was delicious! The spice level was just right and it was just the right size. We really rated it and will definitely be back.

This is 2 nd time we came for party with our friends. We thoroughly enjoyed delicious food especially dal makhani and stuffed mushrooms were superb . I would visit again with my family .

We ordered food last night (Saturday)for delivery paid £52 they did warn us it could take upto an hour and half but aimed for an hour which we accepted. The food was delivered an hour and 25 minutes later. It was very disappointing when we started eating it firstly it wad only like warm the samosas had sweated in the box and were soggy in the middle the onion bhajis were cold and again. Sweated in Container we heated it in the microwave vut the taste of.the oil it.was cooked in overtook any flavour of.the onion bhaji. The butter chicken and pilau rice was OK after heating in the microwave the lamb organ josh was very bland and very disappointing. The keema nan and peswari nan was again cold and then soggy when reheated. Overall not a meal we enjoyed at all we threw the majority of it away. We have eaten in the restaurant before and that was enjoyable and the food was better. Definitely won't be ordering again.

Perhaps my timing was wrong.. i ordered a takeaway on a Saturday night, told to pick up in 45 mins, went to collect 45 mins later, the place was very busy, i waited another 30 mins in the restaurant for the food, while I was waiting some staff were asking other staff members which table number had just ordered food and drinks, also 2 seperate tables had complained while paying at the till whilst i was there, about the poor service.. Got home and the order was not as I asked for, i phoned back and demanded a full refund, which was given when i returned the food the next day.. poor attention to detail, badly trained staff which showed in the level of compitents and complaints..

Great for a large family meal, the staff are very accommodating and polite. The food is extremely good and the menu choices are brilliant. Haven't had a bad experience there.

One of the best restaurants in Spalding Lincolnshire, not only is the food as authentic as Nepaleses food can be but the staff and atmosphere is amazing, gorgeous decor and original design would love to visit again soon.

Came in this evening table booked at 5.30. When we came in and was shown to our table and our drinks order was taken everything was good then our order as taken and again all was fine. Our starters arrived and as usual the food was fantastic and then our main arrived and again the chefs cooked the food perfectly. Then it all went down hill. By 6.30 the restaurant became full and the bar area was full with people having take away. Which meant that for us we was ignored. Not once did we have a server near us or did anyone come to see if we was ok. We would've had another bottle of wine if any staff came near us! We had finished our meal and had to just sit hoping someone would come to us! But they never did we was completely left alone. After finishing our meal and not having any check back to see if we were ok I had to signal to someone to please bring us the bill even though our food had not been cleared or any person had come to see if we had finished and taken our plates away or indeed if we wanted anything else not even an apology thr we hadn’t been seen to. Once the waitress brought our bill in some sort of tin and with no mention of asking if anything was ok or did we need anything else just put the bill on the table I then had to ask as she was walking away if she could bring the card machine as we just really wanted to leave as soon as possible as our evening had be ruined. we still had our food in front of us and dirty plates. She then said as she walked off she would get someone to bring it over to us. She then moved and took another few tables orders. I had to then get another waitress to bring the card machine we then paid the bill and still at this point we still had our main meal food and plates front of us!! I totally understand that the restaurant had gotten busy but the total lack of service that we had was unexceptionable because they clearly could not cope nor did there seem to be any sort of plan or job roles. I would think twice about going again. Such a shame as the food was really good.
