The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Excellent food probably one of the best Indian meals I have had. Some dishes not often seen. Service was excellent also.

This is a big and busy restaurant. We are visitors to the area and chose to eat here based on the positive reviews, did not book as it was a Tuesday and we were eating early. Big mistake! Fortunately we only had a 15 minute wait for a table. Staff super friendly and efficient. Menu extensive and they did accommodate special request from me. Portions big, the naan presentation impressive! My only negative was the £8 charged for a bottle of cobra, a little steep I think. Fortunately the food was not over priced. If we lived closer this would be a favourite of ours. Recommended, except for the beer!

I've been to quite a few Indian restaurants and I can honestly say this is the best yet, for food and service both first class. Everytime iam down visiting my family (I stay in Scotland) we always book this restaurant, can't fault it in any way and look forward to my next visit.

A party of 8 of us visited this restaurant it was pre booked The service was nothing other than diabolical. Our mains took about an hour to come and even then it come in dribs and draps. One of our dishes come near the end of our meal We asked for water about 4 times. A real struggle. The waiters just fobbed us to each other I understand it was busy. But can’t be that busy that we where neglected We asked for desserts and where told that they where to busy to serve deserts. When we spoke to the manager he agreed to serve us deserts but it will take about 10-15 minutes. We said no problem. Half an hour later nothing not even an acknowledgement. We asked for tea and coffee not nothing as once again they where to busy. A terrible experience. To put it politely

Hace unos años que no como en el aagrah y recuerdo haber sido significativamente mejor de lo que era hoy. La comida no era nada especial para bordear la sosidad... el bhaji de cebolla era solo aros de cebolla especiados indios que eran horribles... el tikka de pollo Marsala carecía de sabor a tomate y era una salsa de curry muy genérica. No volvería.

Went to this for dinner as had been here a while back. The food and service isn’t as good as previous visit. Tge food also seems to have changed. Maybe new chef

Amazing food & hospitality here! There was so much choice & the quality was fantastic. I only wish I lived closer to go again

Never orders an Indian takeaway without free poppadoms before. Seeing as we spent nearly £40 thought it was poor. Never had a biriyani like this one before either. Ordered chicken.Not much of that and no egg. Wouldn’t order from here again.Too pricey

This restarraunt is absolutely terrible they keep the lights full on bright there's no music the staff are beyond rude to everyone they just don't know how to welcome.anyone. The food was shambolic ,tasteless cold rubbish ,not nice at all horrible mango chutney no mangoes in it just orange floppy slop ,the chicken in the tikka masala was processed chunks not real chicken my partner's chicken korma was yellow and bland the poppadoms were shop bought not made or hot . All of the staff were just absolutely awful a lot of people commented on bad atmosphere no one seemed to be enjoying their food and no one asked us if our dinner was ok I would never return it was an awful experience.

This should be outstanding ( location , building , look of menu ) but our experience was disappointing .. average food , rude service . Did appear that the management fawned over the locals but sadly we did not get that attention .. won’t be returning g sadly

Nice place, very friendly attentive staff and a lovely meal - we thoroughly enjoyed it. Only visiting Hunstanton, but wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Pedí una comida para llevar de aquí anoche y no decepcionó! Toma alrededor de 1 hora para la entrega, así que asegúrese de pedir con mucha anticipación. La comida todavía estaba caliente cuando llegó, que era bueno y un sabor tan auténtico. Pedimos un cordero madras, el cordero era agradable y tierno, arroz, patatas bombay, cebolla bhargi, pan keema naan y poppadoms. El curry tiene un buen toque de especia y lo disfrutamos mucho. Volveremos a pedir desde aquí la próxima vez que nos apetezca una comida para llevar india.

After visiting quite a few times and enjoying the food, sadly will not return again following a disappointing meal yesterday evening. The restaurant was fairly quiet and there were 3 members of staff at the front of house. 2 of them spent some considerable time scrolling on their phones. They certainly weren't attentive to their customers. Drinks ordered and we opted for poppadums and a tray of chutney with was nice. The food arrived and my curry was good but the chapati was burnt, cold and tasteless. Had to wait about 5 minutes for my pilau rice to arrive. My friend noticed that her tandoori chicken wasn't sizzling like it normally was and the chips and her Naan were hardly warm. We mentioned to our server our dissatisfaction but he just quietly muttered sorry but no proper apology given. So therefore as I say it will be our last visit there.

Lured in by the outside stall, we received a warm welcome. Our server was happy to describe dishes and make recommendations. We enjoyed everything. The manager and staff made sure that we felt at home. We'll Done Shaqar and everyone.
