Amazing Easter menu - loved the service from the friendly staff and such good value for money considering both the quality and quantity of the food. Michelin star aside unpretentious unlike some other fine dining establishments which over explain the food / push you to spend on overpriced drinks and generally feel stuffy. Regarding the food it’s more South Indian flavours and not 100% what I’m used to but that’s the point of dining out to try new things and now I am hoping to try the other restaurants in their group.

The food was nice, but for a Michelin star restaurant I would expect better taste food and service was not Michelin level, some waiters was holding a tray of food and no one went to get it straight away even when they see the food waiting there. Dishroom taste the same and some dishes even better and better price.

On a blustery London evening, the cozy embrace of Trishna's unassuming entrance welcomed us, providing refuge from the biting wind outside. Despite the subtle facade, the hospitality within shone brightly, epitomized by the efforts of the gracious front desk attendant who not only greeted us warmly but also ensured our table was ready ahead of schedule, embodying the essence of hospitality. Stepping into the restaurant, we were enveloped in an ambiance that seamlessly fused intimacy with elegance. Adorned with captivating glimpses of India through carefully curated artwork, Trishna exuded a charm that transported us to distant lands, offering a respite from the tempest raging outside. Our vantage point near the window afforded us a glimpse of the bustling street below, a stark contrast to the serenity within. Our journey through Trishna's culinary delights commenced under the guidance of an exceptional waiter, whose attentiveness and expertise elevated our dining experience to new heights. With his recommendations, we embarked on a gastronomic adventure that promised to tantalize the senses. The aloo tokri chaat, a humble starter, emerged as a revelation, its medley of flavors harmonizing effortlessly to create a symphony of taste. The crispy potato, infused with the tang of chaat masala and tamarind, elevated the dish to new heights, leaving an indelible impression on our palates. The papadams and chutneys further captivated our taste buds, offering a tantalizing array of textures and flavors. From the delicate crunch of the papadams to the unexpected delight of the crab chutney, each bite was a testament to Trishna's commitment to culinary excellence. For mains, the Dorset brown crab and pepper chicken captivated our senses with their depth of flavor and impeccable execution. The crab, bathed in a luscious curry, transported us to the shores of distant shores, while the pepper chicken tantalized with its robust spices and tender meat. To conclude our culinary odyssey, we indulged in the tandoor pineapple dessert, a delightful fusion of flavors that left us longing for more. The interplay of sweet and savory, punctuated by the smoky essence of the tandoor, culminated in a finale that was as unexpected as it was memorable. In reflection, our experience at Trishna was nothing short of extraordinary. From the impeccable service to the exquisite cuisine, every aspect of our visit exuded excellence, reaffirming Trishna's well-deserved status as a Michelin-starred establishment. Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly award Trishna a perfect 5/5 rating, eagerly anticipating my next culinary voyage within its hallowed walls.

Very nice Indian! We have been to many of the top Indians in London and this was in our top few. The lamb chops are a must, fantastic. The prawns could have been better I thought! Not as good as Gymkhana or Kahani’s marinade. The peanuts just didn’t do them right! But still good. Service very friendly. Very welcoming and accommodating. Hiryali Bream was lovely. Would definitely come back!

Easily makes it to top 3 Indian restaurants in London alongside Brigadiers and Dishoom. We have fallen in love with most of the JKS restaurants and this is the original restaurant as the group first started. It’s also the only Michelin-starred restaurant. We thought the quality was there to earn its star; and the service was great without being over the top as some Michelin-restaurants often are. The food honestly just melted in our mouths, the flavours were bold and sumptuous. Really enjoyed every mouthful. The broccoli for starters was amazing and original, never tasted broccoli like that. The lamb chops is their signature dish and with good reason. While the nutty curry finished us off with the bread basket. The restaurant is fairly small, nothing exciting in terms of decoration or atmosphere which really points to how good the food is as this restaurant is packed all the time. I thought the service was great; our Indian waiter with his spectacular moustache offered recommendations and even under sold us as we were about to order way too much food so he properly advised on a good selection. The spiced Lassi also deserves a special mention; very interesting drink.

Beautiful ambience and the service was exceptional. We went for the koliwada vegetarian tasting menu spread over 5 courses. The food was delicious, however all courses were rich, creamy and hence heavy. It would have made for an exceptional experience had they made a few courses light, experimental and with a modern fusion touch.

I have always trusted the Michelin Guide with a few exceptions of certain US cities, however my experience at Trishna makes me wonder if you can now buy stars? My brother-in-law and kids were very excited to try Trishna and the food was nothing short of a huge disappointment. We dine in a Michelin starred restaurant at least once a month, and spend our summer holidays driving to various Michelin restaurants throughout Europe. So, I am wholeheartedly shocked that the food was so far below average for Indian cuisine in London. We had three starters and four main courses... portion sizes were generous, but there was nothing special, memorable or even favourable about the food. My observation was that most of the clientele were likely tourists, maybe that's how this place stays in business given that Conde Nast mentions them? Service was typical of any expensive restaurant, but not one Michelin star service. Bib gourmand service possibly... Very cozy and quaint atmosphere, but again not really Star level. With so many incredible restaurants in London, please don't waste your mealtime at Trishna.

Both the food and service at Trishna are truly exceptional. Both our waitress and the sommelier were friendly and eager to please. Although they are known as one of the most price conscious Michelin stars in London, their food is amazing and you should absolutely splurge on the tasting menu and wine pairings, £180 combined. We loved the bread service with chutneys, the guinea fowl, and the lamb. I also really liked that they served gin from India. Perhaps what was most impressive was how well they paired wine with the bold flavors of their food. Every pairing was a wonderful match elevating the already excellent food. The space is intimate, but sleek. And we perfect seat in the front window. Overall we loved our dinner at Trishna.

I was so excited to come here! It’s a Michelin star restaurant right in central Marylebone, and we came here to celebrate completion of job process (for now) :) However, the food was too spicy for me right from the papadums with sauces that were brought out. Appetizer of Aloo Chaat was really spicy as well. Food did not go over well with my stomach which was the biggest downside for me. In addition servers were not always attentive refilling water (which was an issue given how spicy the food could get). On the plus side the appetizers did taste quite good, and portions didn’t look huge but were actually sufficient and very filling for both me and my friend. I also got the Duck Chutney Seekh appetizer (which tasted great! Presentation was fine) and Cashew and Pepper Chicken for the main course. All dishes tasted pretty good :) And for dessert I got the Custard Apple Kulfi, which had great presentation and looked really pretty! However I personally found the combination of noodles on the bottom a bit strange. The rest of the dessert I liked. Lots of business style clientele, some older people and some couples too. Overall friendly servers and didn’t rush us at all which I appreciated.

- FOOD: The makai palak (£11 - spinach corn entree) was absolutely phenomenal and 1000% worth it, as was the wild mushroom pilau (£23). The gongura lamb (£26) and the cashew and pepper chicken (£24) was good/okay. Salty masala lassi (£6.50) was true to its name (salty), so I probably shouldn’t have ordered it. - PRICE: A little on the expensive side (£110 for two persons, no drink) but generally worth it. Felt full after the meal, which is not common after a Michelin meal. - AMBIENCE: Very nice inside - EXPERIENCE: Excellent with one major exception - they took our coats and pointed out all the areas in the floor where my partner world have to watch out (as she was wearing heels). Our initial server was great and very polite and provided an allergies menu. - Our main server (the one who took our orders) was very overbearing and that soured the experience a bit. I understand that restaurants want to minimize their liability for patrons with allergies, but if I knowingly order a dish with an allergen in it, accept the consequences, and work to mitigate the liability (for ex., avoid eating the cashews in the cashew curry chicken dish), I should be allowed to do so without being refused. I have not been to a restaurant where the server refused to serve us dishes on that basis and it was very paternalistic.

We were a little anxious to visit Trishna after reading some recent reviews about poor service and lack of flavor in food, but we had quite the opposite experience and really loved our entire experience at Trishna. Pros: - The Food was to die for (with one exception). We did the tasting menu and were blown away. I HATE Lamb, but the Tandoori lamb actually brought me to tears. I'll be thinking about that dish for a long time. - We had very attentive wait staff that were incredibly observant and kind and the atmosphere as truly lovely. We had a family next to us with two young children, one of which was literally falling asleep at the table, and the staff brought her a pillow so she could nap through her meal. It was very sweet (and hysterical). Cons: There really aren't many to mention! - We had one dish (I can't remember the name, but it was almost like a salmon sushi) that wasn't very flavorful, but was gorgeous. - It's hard to list this as a con, but the tasting menu is A LOT OF FOOD. We couldn't finish ours and felt uncomfortably full after. I can't imagine how full we'd have been if we did the wine tasting. - This was more funny than a con, but my wife and I (both women) were celebrating our honeymoon and indicated this on our reservation. At the end of the meal, one of the runners brought out a complimentary desert that said "I have no idea what you're celebrating, but congratulations". We got a kick out of it, but it was a little odd. We'd absolutely return, just maybe a little more hungry next time!

Nestled in a seemingly converted house, Trishna gives a warm and cozy feeling with attentive and helpful staff. The food struggles to match that. Felt as if the flavor profiles have been notched down to please a certain palate, resulting in an underwhelming experience for someone trying to experience Indian food. In addition, the non-vegeterian dishes felt chewy and not fresh. Saving grace was the salmon, probably because of the inherent flavor of itself, you can't go wrong with that. Would also recommend the mango lassi (pro tip: save it for after your meal)

Very expensive( because of the central London location and the star rating). Food was very average. The Mumbai chai_ very sorry to say was the worst cold chai that I have ever had in my life. It was like a namesake of capuchino ( could actually advertise it as teachino). The chef was overenthusiastic while preparing alootokri chat with excessive tamarind chutney spoiling it's taste. The mutter paneer makhani ( was suggested by the staff as the best option for vegetarians) was like a dessert - so sweet that we didn't order dessert towards the end of our meal. The best part of Indian cooking is the perfect mix of spices which is absolutely lacking in this place. For someone who knows nothing about Indian cooking this place would be an exciting option.

Skuffende!

Quality Indian food, used to be top of the game a few years ago and resting on their laurels a bit but can't find fault with the food and service (just that the competition has gotten fierce). Took an American visitor there recently and we were all impressed. Bit expensive due to the location and Michelin star 😏 but affordable.

Very nice place and delicious food! Service very friendly and professional! The reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because overall as a package its was good! Food was delicious but majority of it average in my opinion. One of the desserts was excellent but the other one was not really my type and would never order again. Nice to go once but not really again. I'm making this comment as a person who is familiar with Indiam cusinese and who went to different michelin stars several times.

We were looking forward to a tasting menu for a long time and have been lucky enough to have had many previously in the past. Although the food was delicious, the size of the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing was just too much! Our expectation of each course was for the chef to dazzle us with exotic flavours and well dressed plates. I stress that the flavours were there but each plate was like a full sized course. When it came to the 5th course, we had what was like a traditional main course Indian dinner with nan, rice, Dahl and chutney plus our own choices of what we thought would be 2-3 small bites of the most exquisite Indian food presented in a fine dining manner! Instead, we served our own plate, which looked then like a Friday takeaway! Very disappointing. We did point out to the manager, who said this was all written on the menu regarding all the side dishes. We just hate waste and it was all too much! The wines were delicious but as a very special treat at a whopping £450 for two of us, we wished we had chosen a couple of starters, mains and a couple of glasses of wine for a quarter of the price and not wasted food and felt full on what we had eaten. On top of this, we had to eat all this food in the obligatory 2 hour window in a busy, loud resturant. It was a sprint! For some, this may be what they are looking for, for us, not a tasting menu but a 6 course dinner without the refinement of Michelin stars!

It was a pretty nice dinner. It was my first time at the Indian restaurant with a Michelin star. I love Indian food in general, and this place definitely didn't disappoint. I was afraid that the cousin would be too 'creative' and far from the one I know and love. But it was just a good balance of tradition and experiment.

I loved it. Lekker eten, lieve mensen, veel veel eten. Zeer attente bediening. Originele creaties. Enige verbeterpunt zou kunnen zij dat er iets meer tijd tussen de gerechten zit, gezien de grote hoeveelheden.

This was my second visit to Trishna, and it was as delicious as I remembered. Loved everything, especially the mushroom briyani. Cocktas are good too. Really nice, attentive servers. They are celebrating the restaurant's 15th anniversary this weekend (and Diwali).

Trendy Michelin starred restaurant which serves delicious food in a cosy athmosphere. You must try the tandoori lamp chop which was simply gorgeous. The coconut & curry leaf scallops and the hariyali bream were also delicious. All in all every dish was excellent and an explosion of tastes. We highly recommand this restaurant.

Very nice lunch. The shrimp and squid and salmon were the favorites, although all the dishes had great balanced flavors. The 3-course lunch set menu was great value and we left feeling very full. Will be going back to try the deserts!

Unfortunately, Trishna’s was fully booked when we were in London, so we could not get a reservation…but luckily, we found Trishna online and were able to make a delivery (from an app) order to our hotel. The food was amazing. We gat a few different dishes to try, all vegetarian and all were amazing! The delivery was so good, I can only imagine that dine in would be even better. We would 100% go back and make reservations early, so we could get the full experience.
