First meal in London had to get some Indian! Walked in and was greeted with a smile. I usual ask the owner or workers what their favorite thing is and they suggested the curried lamb with rice and garlic naan bread. Which was phenomenal. Gentleman said this was his first week in the new ownership and let me tell you for first week of new management could not have asked for better food. Keep up the good work!

Horrible, absolutley tasteless food, and to make things worse ordered a cheese naan that had no cheese at all… shame on you, you ahould shut down

Ordered for delivery. Said would arrive by 19:50 latest. Now it's 20:15 and hasn't arrived. Disgusting behavior contaminating the city. I wish you good fortune...in bankrupcy.

Had a chicken Rogan Josh, a Bombay Aloo and a Keema naan. It was really lovely. Will definitely go again.

Ordered online and called them when I did not get my order. The staff behaviour is very bad. They disconnected my call and cancelled my order as well. After that i kept calling them but they did not pick up my call. How can they run restaurant if they do not know how to deal with customer? The owner must provide training to staff!! Will never ever recommend it.

Both the starters and curry itself were appalling. Possibly the worst i have ever had in london. Main dish was basically just a box of food colouring which looked and tasted horrible. A total ripoff and i will never use them again

Worst experience ever, my order was One hours late. There wasn't any communication from the restaurant is my order accepted or No, I was waiting like stupid. However I would never suggest anyone to order something. And one more thing the food taste was horrible. I order mushrooms 🍄 rice though I couldn't find that many mushrooms compare to the price. Worst, worst and worst.

First time using you and have to say not very impressed. Even through food was cooked it was barely warm. Am in two minds whether to use your again.

Our favourite curry house - a really good selection of dishes and vegetables. I’d recommend the king prawn bhuna. Worth a visit to Charlton Village for.

Worst experience ever. Food being delivered is supposed to be stress free and exciting but this experience was the complete opposite. There was no communication from the restaurant, my order took more then 30 mins and never arrived. I was waiting hungry with my gf stressing about where my food was. All the reviews led me to believe that this was a good place but I was so disappointed. Don't trust this place, order elsewhere!!!

Ordered at 8:30 pm on Sunday, 26th Sep. The app said estimated delivery is at 9:10 pm. Even after 10 pm my order hadn't arrived. There is no way to contact Uber and the app provided me the restaurant's phone number. When I called, no one picked up. At 10:10 pm, i received a text message from same number that the person is on the way as it was busy. Still at 10:40pm, order never arrived. Called the number back and left him a text message, but there was no response. Absolutely unprofessional trash.

Not really sure what happened here but it's was one of the worst I had in a while. One dish swimming in oil, while another was just sauce with two small pieces of meat.

Great food jalfrezi was something else, amazing mint sauce and red sauce. Would recommend and order again. Fantastic place to order food.

just nowI give them no ratings at all. Poor service and communication with the customer. No updates on food estimation of your food delivery. If I were you, I wouldn't waste my time not if you want to be yelled at. Absolute waste of time. Waited an hour for a delivery driver to drop the food off, there was no notification or any indication of the business or the driver letting me know my order was on the way. I had to call the business myself to check on my order and was spoken to at a rude, aggressive and intimidating tone. This escalated into the employer on the phone to screaming at me, pushing the blame on myself after me saying 'i would like a refund because I have waited too long for my order'. Of which he sweared at me - cut me off on the phone by hanging up, raised his voice at me and said "I can do whatever the f*** I want, you got your refund take it" "what more else do you want from me".If you don't want to wait for your food or get treated and spoken to like that, I would truly and strongly recommend to not order from this food place as the customer service is ridiculous. Tremendously upset as I didn't receive the food I was looking forward to and will not be ordering from here again. Hope no-one has to go thro.ugh the same experience as I did.

We ordered a takeaway fully expecting a long wait as it was NYE. What we didnt expect was 2 updates saying there was a delay. A 3rd update saying delivered. It took us a further 3 calls and 2 answerphone messages before someone rang to say our order was cancelled as the kitchen couldnt cope with the number of orders. Consequently 2 and a half hours after placing the order it was cancelled. At 9.40 on NYE we were left searching for a takeaway. Will never use this place again. Oh and our money was initally taken through PayPal. Waiting for it to be refunded.

Lovely food - I often find that curries can taste the same, no matter what you order, but with Village Tandoori each one (that I have ordered) has it's own unique taste. Very polite & helpful staff who always cater to your requirements (more/less spicy etc) quick delivery & tender meats. They also usually add a nice salad and/or popadoms with sauces to the meal, which is a lovely extra. Since I have found these guys I rarely, rarely order anywhere else. Thanks for the great meals!

Really struggled to find a decent indian in the area for about 6 months until i ordered from The Village Tandoori, and now im obsessed. The food is always amazing (I get a chicken dansak and its the best one ive ever had), portion sizes are great, quick delivery and the delivery guys are always so polite and kind which is really rare to find. The fact they can make such a good impression in the time it takes to hand someone food says a lot!! I just wish they would do chicken chaat as a starter without the puree as I could eat a whole box of that on its own... Highly highly recommend - you wont be disappointed!

Entramos alrededor de las 8 de la noche. . . La persona en el mostrador estaba muy impaciente, casi como si fuera la hora de cerrar. El pedido tardó entre 35 y 40 minutos en hacerse, cuando llegué a casa, noté que NINGUNO de los contenedores estaba lleno de curry, solo 3/4 de llenado. Y luego vi la lata de coca cola. . . ese tamaño es impactante, puedo obtenerlo en ASDA por 40 p, sin embargo, es 1 aquí, y ¿qué restaurante / comida para llevar incluso da con una comida? ! No volveremos allí de nuevo.

He estado usando el pueblo tandoori durante aproximadamente 15 años y nunca tuve problemas reales hasta anoche. El tamaño de mi comida principal era extremadamente pequeño y solo llenaba el recipiente a un tercio, una vez mezclado con el arroz, era como comer solo arroz, ya que no se podía saborear ninguna salsa. También pedí 2 latas de bebida por 1 cada una y recibí latas de 150 ml (si van a cobrar esto, al menos deberían avisarte de eso en su sitio web. Finalmente siempre solían darte una pequeña ensalada gratis que también se han detenido. Todo lo que puedo pensar es que debe estar bajo una nueva administración y han decidido poner ganancias antes que la experiencia del cliente. Creo que iré a otro lugar en el futuro.

El entrante Rashmi Kebab estaba tibio y poco cocinado. Principal fue presionado pollo sin sabor Tikka Masala. . . 3/10. . . . . Aloo Gobi; poppadoms y chapati eran sólidos. He escuchado cosas buenas sobre este lugar. Pero esta es mi segunda experiencia y sigue siendo solo la media. . .

Great place but can be a bit hit and miss. Lovely staff and when the food is on form, no Indian I've eaten has beaten it. The trouble with setting the bar high is you always want the same everytime!

This was Our first time ordering from this restaurant and we were very impressed. This could be our new regular Indian takeaway Perfect in every way. Food was yummy. Delivered in good time. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Highly Recommend.

Curry in the old style It reminds me of seventies Indian takeaways. Not in a bad way, i hasten to add, but in a very good way.

I order regularly and recently haven't been disappointed. The food is the best in the area I have to admit however, their customer service is terrible. They told me 20-30 minutes and had me waiting 50 minutes. I wasn't allowed to eat after 8pm so wasted money and told them the situation too. They offered me no refund just a free main on my next order. I am very disappointed with this poor customer service.

Friendly and reasonable indian in the village. Food is always good if not necessarily amazing. They’ve made a couple of bespoke orders for me so great customer service. Definitely happy to have them as my local Indian takeaway.

I use this curry house many times. They are a friendly bunch of guys, and the food is excellent. Very highly recommended. Also if you ask, they can make pretty much anything for you.

Have had a few take aways from here recently and I would like to say how enjoyable the food is. Very tasty and always hot in temperature when it arrives. Guy who takes order over the phone is always lovely. Would highly recommend.

I cannot fault the meal I received. All of the food was delicious, it arrived exactly when the restaurant had specified (15mins were added onto the order to account for traffic, plenty of notice was given), and the delivery driver was polite and happy to confirm my order upon arriving at my address. I will definitely be ordering from here again, and if this quality is consistent, would encourage anyone else to do the same.

Great food as always, very tasty and a great range of spices. Portions are perfect and well priced. One thing I would add is another delivery driver because the poor guy is run off his feet. Waiting time is a little long but worth the wait.

Recientemente trasladado a la zona y estaba luchando para encontrar un nuevo hindú para llevar después de años con la misma. Probamos el pueblo después de 2 entregas tandoori pobres de otros lugares locales y no han cambiado desde entonces. Orden aproximadamente una vez al mes y siempre está caliente, rápido y sabroso.

Worst Indian I've had, I don't understand some of the positive reviews. Then again what would local chavs no about good Indian food.

It was OK but not brilliant. it was Saturday night and possibly the busiest slot of the week so I understand it could be marginally delayed and that the delivery time was long. I was a bit surprised by the cheese naan bread which was thick and stodgy, I did notice it might be because it was stuffed with paneer rather than the cheese being melted on top which was my first impression. Right out of the tandoor it might be something interesting to try but because it was a bit late it had completely lost its texture. I guess I should try it at a less busy period. The poppadoms were also stale, I guess also because of timing.

Long delivery wait but this was communicated from the off. Good food and friendly delivery driver. Madras could have been a little hotter but will order the vindaloo instead next time. The vegetable Naga was spot on. Would use again without hesitation .

2 hours of waiting and the food hasn't arrived yet. If you pay them in advance, they don't bother delivering the food to you at all. And yes, aren't answering the phone either now!

Order was one hour and 30 minutes late. Several items were missing. Had to call four times to chase them about the status of the order. While they were apologetic and took money off the bill I will not be ordering from them on a Saturday night again.

Solía tener mi indio que lejos de los otros indios en Charlton Village, que ha sido tomada y no es tan bueno, así que decidimos probar. La comida estaba deliciosa, pasamos sabores buena, no aceitosa y muy bien de precio. Lo recomiendo. Especialmente pollo tika.
