Wont recommend to anyone who is foody. Food was tasteless. We ordered aalo gobhi, dal and rice. Pieces of gobhi were very big. Quantity was like it was being served to the baby. Daal was tasteless had to add salt and lime on the top. They bring popodam without asking for it and add it in the bill. Luckily we knew this trick, so we said no in the beginning. Service charge was 12.5%, for the tasteless food.

I had one of the worst experiences ordering from this restaurant. I placed an order for Bombay Aloo, Fish Pakora, and Chicken Vindaloo, and specifically added a note requesting the food to be spicy. I even received a call from the restaurant confirming this, and I said yes, spicy is fine. However, what we received wasn’t proper spicy food — it was completely inedible. It felt like raw chilli powder was just mixed in at the end, not cooked into the dish at all. I regularly eat spicy food, but this was so badly prepared that nobody in our group could eat it. I called the restaurant not to ask for a refund or return, just to give feedback. Instead of listening, the staff member was rude, argumentative, and showed no willingness to understand. I was told the manager would be available at 12 PM — which is when they’re closed — which made no sense. When they offered to re-make the food, it was only for collection, and when I asked why, they started shouting at me. Let me be clear: If I pay a restaurant for food, is it my fault to expect it to be cooked properly? I didn’t ask for anything for free — just wanted to let them know what went wrong. Instead, I was met with disrespect and shouting. Never ordering from here again. Avoid this place at all costs. You deserve better food and better service.

Visited on a Thursday night with my brother. We arrived approx 9.15pm and only one table eating. All staff sat down chatting so had to ask if they were still open and serving. We were seated and served drinks. Waiter popped over about 10 minutes later and said ‘have your ordered’. No hello, no how are you. Ordered our dishes which arrived quickly and the food was ok. The other table sat behind us left leaving only us in. The waiters then proceeded to get a vacuum out and started vacuuming around us while we were still eating. We felt rushed and were asked to move to a sofa when we finished our food as we were still enjoying our drinks. The owner or barman then said ‘we are closing, can you leave’!!!! All the lights were turned off around us so quickly finished our drinks and left. In hindsight we should have gone to Ayeshas or the Samad cottage as these restaurants value customers more than the Mint leaf who made us feel unwelcome and a bit of an inconvenience. Won’t be back.

Hands down the worst indians iv had, dupiza wasn't dupiza was swimming in grease and had absolutely no flavour..the homemade chips were frozen chips, the poppadoms had the worst taste ever to them... the only thing half decent was the nan bread... won't be ordering again

Only 2 guests in the restaurant so would expect decent service ? How wrong we were . The Khyber is clearly very busy with takeaways but unfortunately seem to disregard dine in guests. The veg samosas when they eventually arrived were cold in the middle and the main course of chicken dopiaza although tasty seemed liked a half portion. The only Indian I've ever visited that don't do chapatis! 3 poppadoms and pickle tray £7.00 . Would not be rushing back .
