I’m not a believer of giving bad reviews but have no choice on this occasion. Take away, worst ever, kebab not cooked, bread undercooked. Tried to call and explain but some how they couldn’t understand even thou they could to take the order. Last time!

Delivery driver nearly blinded me with his headlamp Curry was tasteless, the rice was like rubber, cold chips and under cooked naan bread and very dry Not stopped spewing up this morning and bin on toilet about 6 times, proper gut ache this morning NEVER AGAIN 😩 STICK TO WHAT YOU KNOW AND AVOID

I must say this has got to be the worst curry in darwen. I should of gone raj. Oh well. Never again.

I used this takeaway for many years. My order was very late and arrived cold. Portion was significantly smaller. I had to re-heat the food. When I spoke to the manager. He wouldn't accept my complaint. After many years of being a customer. Won't use again. No loyalty or customer service.

I had the worst chicken biryani from this restaurant, it was just out of the microwave, not fresh no taste at all.

Lovely and friendly delivery service. Food offered is always a great variety of tasty treats. Last meal of King Prawn Tikka Massala was cooked to perfection. 🤌💋😋

Superb, amazing curries and fabulous and fast delivery (always delivered early). Food always hot and nice friendly delivery drivers. I don't have a takeaway very often, but, when I do I go to these guys. I love to cook, but, these guys show me how it's done.

Food was cold, chicken tikka masala not nice and the sauce looked curdled, my first time ordering from spice tandoori and my last.

Love them. I like a Chicken Tikka Masala but don't often order one as there is so much other choice out there but when I do I am sure theirs is my favourite. Their vindaloo is amazing, spicy enough but not stupid hot and so full of flavour, nom. And if you are in a kebab mood their Jumbo Sandwich is a delight. Order early though, sometimes delivery can take a while.

We only ever order from here for a curry. But damn guys you blew it out of the park tonight. Best curry you've made us ever!!!

ordered last night at 10:30, they accepted the order but said it wasn’t going to get here till 5:30 the next day which is unacceptable considering they close at 11. they should’ve declined the order or made it clear we wouldn’t have got it till today. next to this, they refused to cancel our order when we rang when they opened at 4:30pm today because ‘it’s not their problem’. i’m appalled. disgusting rude men.

The food is lot better just needs shop front dealing with.

Don't Bother wasting your money

It is ok. But I must say in recent 18 months or so there is very little lamb in the curries, still nice flavour but much more onion and much less lamb. We got a lamb korai and there were 4 small ish pieces of lamb in it. When I called I was told that they usually put in 9 pieces of meat into each Currie. I was a very regular customer but didn't get a replacement. I no times I tough , so I will give them another chance.

Ordered a Paneer cheese dish as my wife is vegetarian. Paneer cheese doesn't melt and what she got was stringy , not in block form and melted in with spinach. When I raised concerns, they fobbed me off and insisted that it was their Paneer. Obviously rubbish

Abysmal..arrived late, was cold, chicken puri was tasteless ,lamb Kar was rubbery, lamb byrani was hard and burnt ..rang up to complain was told the boss would ring me as he only works fri sat but as we didn't ring on the night theres no refund..£ 39 down the tube..stick to the ones you know...

Best Indian Takeaway in Darwen. Plenty of tasty dishes to choose from, too many favourites to mention. Generous portions, always fit to bursting when we've finished eating. Completely delicious, never disappointing. Own website easy to use with 10% off on every order. 😁

Worst Indian I have ever had in my life poppadoms were stale so were the nan bread chicken chat was a nan bread with a carton of vile chicken in some sause

How can a medium to mild curry taste exactly the same as a supposedly hot and spicy curry and yet have totally different colours?? The two curries we ordered were congealed and lukewarm, the naan bread over sweet and the papadom sauces either tasting of nothing or overely spiced. All seemed to me to be a use of pre cooked food being masked by over spicing and sweetening. Making hay while the sun shines during the Pandemic.

Just had a meal for 1, more like a meal for 2! Fabulous taste, arrived hot, loved every bit of it, were having a family meal thursday, and will be ordering from spice tandoori again. Compliments to the chef/s.

We have used this takeaway before so after returning from the states after a holiday we couldn’t be bothered cooking so used these again. Absolutely beautiful food, hot and plentiful as always. The delivery is always quick and the delivery guys friendly. I’d highly recommend this takeaway.

Spice tandoori always get it just right. we enjoy our food in our house but we don't like our Indian food swimming in grease and gee. Well spice tandoori get it just right. The food comes hot and its tasty and it does not come swimming in grease or gee. The chef makes my food mild just how I ask for it and my husbands foods spicy hot just how he likes it and we just love it.

Took 2 hours to make 2 curries on a Tuesday night what a joke.

We have very few take aways, but favor this one, when we want a quality treat! They didn't disappoint this time, delicious. Even though it's heading towards Christmas, the take away arrived within 30 minutes and piping hot. I had one of the Speciality Biryani's with a masala sauce - a truly scrumptious sauce that completes the dish! Also the garlic naan bread is delicious, moist, almost melts in your mouth. The portions are generous to meet the biggest appetite, but quality & great presentation within each dish. And the amazing value!! Also they included a Christmas card, a lovely touch as although this is outstandingly our favourite take away restaurant, we only visit occasionally but as long as they continue to serve such excellent cuisine, we will be back!

The most ridiculous food I've ever had in my life. Blend no spices just making darrens fool.

Normally I would recommend this takeaway as we have used them a couple of times without issue. We ordered a takeaway from here in October 2017 and the food seemed really good until I suddenly tasted metal and had a sharp pain to the back of my teeth. I pulled out a small spiral shaped piece of metal from my gum which was in the food. This was approximately 10mm long. We decided not to eat any more and I placed the object in a small bag and took it into the shop. The owner told me that sometimes when they clean the pans because they have to scrub hard they sometimes get small pieces of the pan being scraped of and that he believed it was that. He took the piece of metal from me and apologised for the issue. He told me that when I order again he would give me some discount to make up for it! Ok I would have at least of expected a refund on my meal along with an apology as I clearly could have gone to the food standards agency but instead approached them directly. Our meal was ruined and there was no way we were going to eat any more of it so our money was wasted and I was left with a sore mouth. Instead of doing the right thing they have left me feeling a little fed up with how it was dealt with and instead of a resolution I have now given the readers of my review a chance to make their own decision on where they buy their take away from. Nice staff and liked a lot by the locals

Decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway Saturday evening. Read up on a few all with dubious reviews, so returned to our old favourite. Ordered via Just Eat, arrived slightly earlier then estimated with piping hot food. Scrumptious with generous portions. Moist garlic naan, South African chicken tikka - my absolute favourite. If you are struggling to choose a Takeaway I'm pretty sure this won't disappoint!

Have used this takeaway for a while and have never been disappointed with the food or service. When I've been to collect the staff are always helpful and polite. The food is superb and we have not had a bad dish yet.

Felt I had to write a review of spice after they had a low hygiene score recently. As myself and husband get our Saturday night meal from Spice every Saturday we have to say that we have never had a bad meal, never been ill, never had reason to stop ordering from them and never will unless things change drastically! We get free popadoms every time and the meal is plentiful, hot, and reasonable. Chin up lads.

Man who dropped off it was really ignorant and grumpy, i didn't even eat the food because food took ages to come so really cold, rice was burned and badly packed so food was messy in the bag, i wouldnt eat here again. really annoyed and disgusted

The delivery guy was ace. His name is Rob and he was really friendly and up beat considering he delivered in the terrible wintery weather.

Just had one of the best takeaway meals in Darwen at a very reasonable price. We ordered placed our order online and paid just over £23 for three meals with two pilau rice and two chapattis. We also ordered 3 popadoms with chutney (received 4). All food arrived in good time and was piping hot and delivered by a driver who took the time to say hello and offer a smile. Our meals were very good and everyone was very happy with their choice. This is the first time we have eaten here for a while but will definitely be using them again. Well done guys and a great service. Overall we give this a very high 5 out of 5.

We have ordered here a few times based on referrals from a friend, we have also referred people here. We have sometimes been impressed but not always. We ordered a takeaway when friends came the other day. The price seemed really cheap for what we ordered and the delivery was great. Really quick. I ordered a veg rogan josh medium hot. There was no spice in it at all and it was basically tomatoes and cabbage!!!!!! My friend ordered saag aloo which was also tasteless. We will definitely not be ordering from here again and especially after the review about scores on the doors!!

Not as good as usual bit of a let down, there was oil everywhere when I opened the curries both had only half a tub in each and dry as all the oil had been tipped out in transit
