Been eating at Sundarban over the years. Never fails to produce good food and lovely friendly and efficient staff. Thought we'd try their Elvis night. We arrived early as didn't want to eat late and it worked well. As for Elvis.... Don't expect anything but a good laugh and songs you know.

We really enjoy the experience of eating our, both service and the food. Both were excellent here. It was a Saturday night and we were not rushed. We have struggled to find many Indian restaurants locally where spicing is good, but this one hits the spot. Food is outstanding, well cooked and there was nothing to fault. A bonus is it is bring your own alcohol meaning we could enjoy some lovely wine with our dinner. Will we return - absolutely. This is one of two stand out Indian restaurants locally for us. Thanks for a great evening.

Wow. Booked for the Sunday buffet and was concerned that as a veggie I would probably just get a veg curry and some rice. Wow was I wrong. The Sunday buffet is not a buffet it's a banquet. I expected warming trays of various food that everyone dipped thier spoons into and piled their plates high. Wrong. There's a special menu of about 55 different dishes to choose from all included in the price. The portions are small but plenty and you can keep ordering until you are full. Plus there were some fantastic choices for vegetarians including lots of paneer which is my absolute favorite. So impressed. Every dish we ordered was exqusite. Freshly cooked and delicious. You bring your own alcohol which makes it affordable for a night out if you are on a budget. Soft drinks, puddings and poppadoms not included. That was the only negative. Poppadoms not included?? Very odd. Especially as we were encouraged to order them to start with. Er no. I am not going to fill up on poppadoms that are not included in the price, when I am doing the all inc buffet?? The service was slow but attentive and to be expected when everything is cooked freshly. Fabulous evening. Great value. Thank you!

I've reviewed before but have to review again because it's just *that* good. I've been here about 5/6 times now for food, wouldn't go anywhere else now if we're after a curry. The food is unreal, tastes homemade - not like the generic sauces you get in every other Indian restaurant. Portion size is brilliant (do not order more than one portion of onion bahjji š¤£). They definitely don't scrimp on meat, the lamb is my favourite, always so tender! My kids absolutely love it here as well. Management and staff are always lovely, really friendly - I even got a compliment on how old I look so brownie points there ha! Would definitely recommend, little hidden gem in the middle of Sheldon, who'd have thought! Thanks staff again for another lovely dinner!

Enjoyed my visit tonight. I was introduced to my table and had my order took shortly after. I went for the 4 course special at 9.95 which is available Sun - Thursday. Had chicken Pakora for starter, lamb and mushroom balti with keema naan then 2 scoops of ice cream. You can also bring your own drinks. Will pay another visit in near future

Visited a few weeks ago and ordered a āspecialā that had the consistency of water and tasted like a microwave meal. Worst curry I have ever had. Avoid.

The boxs' of curries available at the deli counter are only just the beginning. Very authenthic, very nicely spiced, and also some unsual ones, like chicken naga, which is very hot, but very tasty and good for the heat lovers. And at Ā£5-7 its also a lot cheaper than sitting in a restaurant. The lentil dal is even cheaper. You could eat from here every day and not break the bank. Then there is the Deli counter, for daily curries, chaats (mixed indian snack box thing, you won't be dissapionted) You have a vegetarian section and a meat section, and the mix of things ensures you can have something made of vegetables like their fiery parnsips (cooked in a spicy sauce) or indulge with a pakora, of which they're are endless to choose from and all delicious. I asked if the dipping sauces were made fresh, and got the reply, 'everything is made from scratch up in the kitchen'. Have the mango chutney with a chicken pakora and you'll be back to try it all!
