Haven't been here for ages. I walked in, and as I was about to place my order I was told they only accept cash. (I have no issue with this). I ordered first then went to the atm down the road. I came back and paid for my order. Whilst I was waiting, a guy came in and asked if he could pay by card. He was told immediately, 'yes'. (I have an issue with this). I asked why I was told I had to go and get cash but they were accepting a card from the guy. The response was that the card machine 'only works sometimes'. I said it was odd that I was never even offered this option, I was just told I had to pay with cash. Then, two women came in to eat in the restaurant. They asked if they could pay by card. They were told 'no' that they had to pay with cash. (Also have an issue with this). One of the women left to get cash. Now, there is obviously something going on here. I'm not sure what, but I really think you need to treat all your customers the same. Oh, and on top of all that, they managed to get the dips wrong........Food was just OK.

We have ordered from here a few times and food always been lovely unfortunately today we cannot say the same the lamb was dry and had no flavour to it the chicken tikka was really dry and some bits of the meat were grisly and had bone in it. Our naan bread was cold so we spent almost ÂŁ50 for a meal we didn't eat.

What could have been a good meal was spoiled by a combination of poor service and tough meat in my wife's lamb curry, it had not been a lamb for at least a couple of years. Head waiter's behaviour was downright weird and his understudy was overworked and abrupt. Very slow to take your order, and takeaway meals appear to get priority over diners. Maybe picked a bad night when they had staff issues because the place seems popular enough and they did knock a fiver off the bill for the poor lamb but would have to improve massively to tempt us back.

I have been ordering from Cafe balti for over 10 years now. We had placed a order that apparently was not received on the website. We phoned Cafe balti to confirm delivery after we had booked it for 18.00 hrs. The management told my wife it was OK and that the order will be delivered in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I called and was kept on the phone for a further 10 minutes on hold. I got my wife to call again and she was told that no order was received. I phoned and complained and instead off understanding the situation they tried to blame us for the order. Even arguing with me on the phone pathetic. This place and business have gone down terribly in my estimation. Never will I be using Cafe Balti again Ever. Disgusting service and very un professional behaviour POOR.
