First time here on Thur 23 Nov 2023 with a friend. The food was fabulous. Onion Bhaji you get three as a starter, very tasty. Main meal was great too. Service was great too. £68 for two people we had a pint each. I can recommend.

The place was empty when we went and the food was not Indian. It was all sweet and did not taste even a bit authentic

Chicken biryani is well nice restaurant is clean and staff very friendly

So went here last night for their set meal... you got to pick a curry, order a rice or naan, served with poppadoms and chutney and choice of a drink of a beer or a glass of wine. All for £13 what a bargain. Food was fresh and tasty all came out together and there was 10 of us altogether.. great customer service. The server was very sweet and polite. I'd deffo go back again... 🙂🙂🙂🙂

This restaurant has been a favourite of ours since moving to the area back in 2016. Originally it was an old style Indian curry house but they remodeled in 2019 just before the pandemic. Like all restaurants they struggled during COVID and briefly shut down and became a pop up American style take away before reverting back to Jollys this year. Sadly, although the food is tasty and the service great, it is simply too expensive and the portion sizes are around 1/3 smaller than they used to be. Such a pity as it used to be great value.

Food was very very tasty and lots of flavour. Service was spot on and food came out quick. Great value for money on a Wednesday. £12.95 for poppadoms, a main, rice or naan and a drink 👌🏻 Will be visiting again.

Haven't been to Jolly's for a long time.... we were very pleasantly surprised! The food was wonderful. Very tasty and didn't have to wait long for the food to be served. Highly recommended 👌

Food was nice, and the people who work there clearly care a lot for their clientele. Unfortunately, we made a choice to buy a decent curry on Twickenham Rugby night (to which i dont care about), so the restaurant was understandably filled with overgrown larger louts who can't handle their drinks and lots of swearing. However, with all this going on and the busy day they DEFINITELY had, the owners and staff were all still great and maintained a very professional approach and treated us to some free poppadoms along with 10% discount for an error during the order. Lovely people indeed and would like to make another visit on their more normal days. Thank you for the tasty food! 😋

No doubt food is delicious and ambience is also pleasant but the quantity of food is not enough according to the price if price is little higher so i think they should have give enough quantity otherwise finger licking food

Ate with my family at Jolly’s of Whitton last night. 6 of us ordered a variety of dishes which were all delicious. Waitress helped us choose suitable dishes for all our separate tastes. Food excellent, service excellent and very friendly staff. Really enjoyed our meal.

had ordered from uber eats and the food was cold when it was delivered we had to heat it up which resulted in us being ill. the poppadoms were that stale that they were bendy rather than snapping. we also had a missing item. uber eats we’re refusing to refund the order so we contacted the restaurant directly and spoke to a very rude manager who was honestly so rude and not helpful whatsoever. i manage a restaurant myself and work with a delivery service and when a customer complains there is a way to handle it and that was not it. he was so rude and insinuating that we were lying. will never use this restaurant again and would highly recommend that no one else does.

Absolutely disgusting, cold had to be re heated made me sick, poppadom’s we’re stale, naan bread didn’t arrive, there was no updates on where the food was and when it would arrive, when speaking to the manager he was rude and refused to apologise

Food was ok but one person thought their dish was to salty and the vegans were not impressed with the food at all. The lady taking the order needed to listen to what the customer was saying as we had to repeat things several times and because she spoke so quietly we had to clarify things to ensure she got the order right. The other lady brought out the food and stood at one end of the two tables and called out the dishes; I was seated right next to her and had trouble hearing her. They didn’t know who had ordered what so it was quite a shambles. I won’t be rushing back.

First time I have been here for many years and found the food beautifully prepared. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience and the food.

We had a delicious meal last night. Starters mix veggie platter and onion bajhis. 6 of us so a mix of mains, breads, rice and chapati. Reasonable prices. All tasty, nicely presented. Red and white wine and Cobra beer to wash down! Enjoyable evening.

Personal service rendered and well looked after

I have been disappointed recently by some very bland food. The veg menu used to be delicious a couple of years ago when we praised jolly's despite a forgettable lamb pasanda. Some good hits..I enjoyed the lamb byriani but alas more and more misses. A strong tomato pureed hint on the sauces which I believe are not adequate to enhance the flavours of Indian cuisine. I have been warmly welcome by the staff when I ordered take aways at the restaurant. Your sag aloo used to be superb. The last I ordered filled me with the nostalgia of the near past as not to what I used to really enjoyed. A bit mushy mushy nowadays. Hope you the best but I am less inclined to order in the near future. Kind regards. Olivier

Old Indian restaurant at end of high road on busy thoroughfare. I didn't enjoy experience. The menu is fairly ordinary really & no Chipatis or Rotis, just £5 nan breads, so we didn't bother.We asked if they could do us a couple of Chipatis ( as is traditional Indian cuisine) and were told only if we gave £5 a chapati.... The food was fairly ordinary, nothing special. All was expensive in my opinion for sitting down in not very splendid surroundings & the music was not what I was expecting. Won't come back?!!

Food delivered in 30 mins.. Food very poor.. Not again

Called to book and mentioned my meerkat 2 for 1. Was told booking wasn't necessary and to walk in anytime. Upon payment the owner refused to honour the offer and accused me of lying. Upon showing him proof that I called he eventually honoured the 2 for 1 deal while being extremely disrespectful and rude. The food was mediocre, definitely not worth the rude manner in which the owner treats customers. Reading rude and disrespectful replies from the owner on these reviews is no surprise. I would avoid! In response to the owners reply - read the first line of my review. It clearly states I called in advance and mentioned the offer. I then showed you proof of my call and you started whimpering while taking the correct payment.

It's not jollys anymore...Los Americanos now. Enjoyed trying all the cocktails and tequila 😊

Their service has recently declined - ordered a chicken briyani few months ago, which was quite bland. Today, I ordered Tawa Chicken which clearly looked and tasted like sweet chilli Chinese chicken. Called the restaurant only to be told their manager was away and they'd give me a call back (not sure what time they'd be back). I've been fasting for the day and this was my treat. Thank you very much 🙏🏽 will make sure we wont order from you again. Mistakes happen but there's no excuse to treat returning customers like this.

Sometimes they forget the free bottle of coke 3 times so far but never forget when you pay for it

My husband and I visited this restaurant on the off chance as our usual Indian restaurant wasn’t open. We were very pleasantly surprised: the place is exceptionally clean; even the toilets are spotless. The food is delicious: tasty and flavoursome but not overpowering with spices. The service is extremely impressive. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are passing through Whitton.

Very good service, Dhansak was delicious, dhal was tasteless. The king prawn Madras was highly overpriced for cheap rubbery prawns

Chicken Shashlik was quite bland. The lamb curry, was served in a very small food container ( certainly not a main meal container.) The rice also came in a small container. The lamb itself was tough and gristly.. and not a very good flavour. Bombay potatoes were not hot ! But the most tasty item. Over all not impressed, will not use again. Very poor value. This was a home delivery.

The guys were awesome in helping and advising me using tastecard. My 8 year old twins and I were treated fantastically by the host. I haven't been to Jolly's for years, but after the friendly service and the fresh, tasty food, we'll be back again soon! 🦊

Our takeaway last night from Jolly's was absolutely delicious. We fancied vegetarian for a change - the Saag Aloo was really tasty & generous with potato and the Saag Paneer was literally bursting with large cubes of Paneer - the best I've ever had. The Brinjal Bhaji was absolutely gorgeous - tender melting Aubergine and packed full of flavour, as was the Tarka Daal. The poppadoms and naan were both superb, clearly freshly made and even the onion garnish had been nicely done with added fresh herbs. Everything arrived piping hot. Couldn't fault a thing! What stood out was the quality of ingredients and a feeling that a lot of care, attention and generosity had gone into the making of the food Highly recommended.

NYE- Ordered curry at 7.15 and was told too expect it to arrive at 8.30. By 9.00 still had no curry, attempted to contact the restaurant at least 20 times via phone, but had no answer. By 9.30 and still no communication we cancelled our order and settled for a frozen pizza. Nearly 4 hours later and a not word, at 10.50 they knocked on our door with our curry. Explained the situation and sent the curry away. Completely ruined our family’s NYE plans. I understand NYE is a busy time for takeaways but 3.5 hours with no communication is ridiculous. Complained to the restaurant and were sent a £3 voucher as an apology. Very disappointing.

Did somebody say “Just Wait”? Ordered via Just Eat at 5.30pm as estimated delivery was 30 minutes. Once paid delivery became due at 6.30pm, then 6.40pm, eventually arrived just after 7.00pm. We used to use this place quite a bit but they have obviously lost their way. More deserving businesses out there, survival is not guaranteed. If you want a long wait and next to cold food this is the place to go.

Ordered food for collection. Discussed a dairy allergy at length while placing the order and confirmed the Chicken Biryani was dairy free. When I got the food home, I found the vegetable side curry that comes with the Biryani was potatoes in a cream sauce!!! Rang to speak to them about it and the staff tried to justify that because the potatoes were 'free' he didn't need to tell me. It's a good job my 8 year old recognised the dairy or we'd be going to hospital tonight - this is totally unacceptable when I've gone to lengths to identify all of the dairy in the entire order so I know what is safe for him to eat. Jolly's didn't see the problem - this is an alarm bell for anyone with a serious allergy, watch out if ordering from here.

Just reopened after a refurbishment so wanted to give it a go. The menu was the same and the service a bit slow. The food was ok - I liked my madras. It’s a really confusing decor and poor quality/finish with some new and some old jolly’s things eg menus, plates etc. It was good value for money - good and drink.

Revamped restaurant, ordered online after many years. Food arrived 1hr 40mins later, cold. A minimal discount offered for a cold dinner; no thank you. We’d given them a go after years as we had hoped things may be better. Won’t be returning.

Awful. I used to love this place, had meals from Jolly's for years, but today it was dreadful. King prawn butterfly almost black it was so over-cooked and tiny. Lamb tikka - ditto, small portion (even for a starter) and black. Inedible as was so over cooked. King prawn Patia... 5 prawns which were soft and soggy, clearly well past the date they should be used by. Tasted nothing like patia. Rice and the free poppadoms were OK. Sad as Jolly's used to be the best Indian takeaway in Whitton. Will not use again.

We went to Jollys yesterday evening, having had several good meals there before. The service was very slow and the food was nothing like the food we'd eaten previously. I had ordered a dhansak, which in the past had had a tasty savoury thick sauce, The dish I received yesterday was pale, watery and sweet. They also failed to provide the heated racks to keep the food warm, which had always been provided in the past. Our friends were also disappointed with their food and complained when we received the bill. The chef came out to see us and explained that the restaurant had previosuly been owned by Bangladeshi people and was now owned by Indian people. He also said that he had previously been head chef in a hospital for several years and did not like to use food colouring and additives. The woman sitting at the next table to us said that she agreed with everything we had said. We will not be going back there again and were disappointed having had several lovely meals prepared by the previous chefs.

This used to be a great little family-run restaurant and we used to come here and order takeaways regularly. However, I ordered a takeaway from here last night, and whilst the waiter who took my order was very polite and helpful, the food was awful. My wife couldn't finish her Chicken Tikka Biriani as the meat appeared to have been reheated and looked and tasted burnt, and my Balti Chicken Tikka was like it had been cooked in ready made sauce from a supermarket. I also notice that the hygiene rating has plummeted from 5 star rating to 2 stars following the most recent inspection in July 2019. What has gone wrong?

Ordered food for the 2nd time in 3 weekends. I went 1st time lamb Byrianni. & partner Bahlti King Prawn. Immediately found that the food was cold so no problem we reheated the food. Alas upon finishing my meal I vomited several times. 2nd order I went for Lamb Tikka with Tarka Daal. the Dal was very runney. The food was again cold which this time of requesting a delivery to ensure it was to be alas not. A very pland . plate of food & lacking the taste that is a Tikka. i.e. BBQ style flavour. I endured this & upon finishing again felt nauseous & vomited for the remainder of the evening. I am saddened to report this as my partner had 2 decent meals despite the meals being cold.

This is my local place to get an Indian takeaway I get the lamb vindaloo and pilau rice absolutely beautiful highly recommended

Two naan bread for 5.90 and main course for 9 pounds. Most expensive naan bread you can get in London. Good relaxing environment but sorry guys lamb hiryali smell was telling clearly that it wasn't fresh. I mean the meat wasn't fresh it was off but freshly prepared with herbs. I hope it won't happen with other customers.

Took my Graddaughter and have to say used this place plenty of times but never again.Food was tasteless and left us both with upset tummies.Should of been 2-4-1 but paid £39 which didn’t make sense.As I say have used several times but has gone downhillAvoid overpriced and tasteless food

I didnt expect i can have such a good taste of indian food in u.k...being a traveller i would definitely recommend JOLLY'S to the travellers and for sure coming again....

The food is very good and I ordered a curry and rice witch was lovely and they do take away and delivery’s to.

Have used Jollys a number of times over the years without issue though won’t use again after the latest take away from them. The order was delivered in two parts as they forgot the rice. Not a problem, these things happen. Surly delivery driver the second time......delivering twice would frustrate anyone though. When breaking the Naan bread apart and being presented with a baked in 5” human hair, unacceptable. Accompanied with human hair in the korma, we decided to give this take away a miss. Phoned Jollys who said they use a brush to place butter on the Naan dough, they got a little irate when I said it was 5” long.....once they realised we had ordered via Just-Eat, shutters came down on the call and we were advised to take it up with Just-Eat. Duly did, they came across as helpful, asked for some willingly provided photos (provided below as well), let’s see what happens. Jollys has failed to live up to their name.

Usually order take away and quaily of food has been very good. In recent months there appears to have been a change - maybe a change in chefs, not sure - but the menu seems to have changed. But my main gripe today is that when you place aorder for over a certai amount you get either a bottle of soft drink, a bottle of wine or a bottle of beer. On the last two occasions - most recently yesterday evening when I ordered i was asked if i would like wine or beer, and opted for beer. When the order arrived the driver said he had forgotten the beer and woould get it on his return. Needless to say he did not reappear. This has happened twice now and if Jollys have stopped offering drink with takeaways, they should come clean and say so.

We visited this restaurant a few weeks ago. The waiter and customer service was great and the staff could not be more accommodating to us.

We hadn't been to Jollys for years and decided to drop in for an early evening meal we started with a prawn puree each, it was the most tasteless bland thing we'd ever had, my wife ordered a lamb bhuna for her main and when it arrived on the table it was so tough she couldn't cut through the meat with her knife, after sending it back and changing it to a chicken dish (that turned out to be very bland) we paid and left, this restaurant seems to have really let there standards slip and as a result we wont go back.

Used Jollys for a few years and used to love it , 2nd time in a row now and it was disgusting naan bread very doughy, korma not the same as usual very bland and onion bhajis not cooked properly and now round and not flat . Phoned and complained asked if there was a new chef to be told no asked if there using different ingredients to be told no and no one else had made these complaints I told them I’m not everyone else and this is not how I like my food said they would give free onion bhaji next time I told them there won’t be a next time

Used to order from Jolly's once a month on average but the quality has gone down a lot the last couple of years. We do not order from here anymore and prefer other places available on Just Eat now. The owner of this place seems to care more about replying rudely and in some cases making racist remarks to people than improving the food that they serve.

Amazing food, been coming here since I was little, been overseas for 7 years and recently returned to try it and it's still delicious with great service.(side note: the owners replys to bad reviews are hysterical)
