Even though on delivery… my tikka masala was missing. Sheesh delivered me personally my tikka masala and rice with poppadums. Recommended by my daughter whose has eaten from here for 11 years and recommended with high regard. 🙏🏼💜🙌🏼😎✝️💜

Hidden gem. Love the food, atmosphere and friendly staff, especially the owner Mr Imran, who made sure we enjoyed our meal and was comfortable. We had a really good experience in Sheesh Mahal this evening. We ordered a lamb dhasak naga and meat was tender and tasty. We also ordered the tilapia fish (highly recommended) and bombay aloo. The food took a while to be served but it was clear when the food came that everything was freshly cooked to order with very little oil. Overall a really nice experience with attentive staff eho are great with kids, and delicious food. Will be back soon!

We absolutely love Sheesh Mahal. Their speciality is lamb and it is truly melt in the mouth. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. And of course it’s byo - what more could you want?

We were regular customers of this place for the last 5 years and unfortunately the service and food has gone down significantly. This evening we waited for over 45 min for a meal. The food was totally dry and not edible. We raised our concern and the food was taken to the kitchen and they poured some water in the curry and brought it back. They didn’t even change or re cook the dish We left the place without having our meal and paid for two drinks and two starters This place will only provide you with a service if you are purchasing large amounts of alcohol or if there is a big group of you. Portions were much smaller than last time and chicken was hit and miss - some pieces soft others hard from over cooking. Not sure I will order from here again. Disappointing.

Easily the best Indian food I've had in the Twick/Rich area and up there with the best I've ever had. I've ordered direct from their site 8 times now and each time the food has been consistently amazing, not only the flavours and presentation, but the quality of the ingredients is also great. No gristle in the chicken or brown salad's to be found here. You'll pay maybe 10% more then the average here but the food is worth every extra penny. Delivery drivers always friendly too.

Do not bother if you're ordering takeout. Ordered on Deliveroo... food was over thirty minutes late, cold and inedible. We have so many other, far better options in the area than this dreadful restaurant.

We had what was probably the worst restaurant experience of our lives in this place. Saturday night a couple of weeks ago and we were hungry off the train to Twickenham. The three starters we ordered (chicken, prawn and cheese) were abysmal. So tasteless, so devoid of flavour (yes, in an Indian restaurant!) that we left and went somewhere else for proper food. Each dish could have been cotton wool or wet paper. Not a hint of spice or flavour. Poorly presented (huge chunks of onion and tomato and no more than two or three pieces of meat/cheese. Just horrible. And the two waiters who ‘served’ us just grunted. Honestly, they couldn’t have spoken more than five actual words between them. No ‘hello’ or ‘good evening’ or ‘have you chosen?’ Talk about unfriendly. By the time the third tasteless starter arrived, we were thankful we hadn’t yet ordered mains and decided to leave. Will never go back. Avoid. This place used to be very busy but it was empty when we went and it’s now obvious why.

Had a nice meal out here with some friends. Curries were all tasty (In particular the lamb bhuna was very good) and the staff were friendly and attentive. It is BYOB but staff were more than happy to accommodate. It was also straight after the England vs Ireland game and staff really handled the amount of people well. Definitely would book again.

Called at 1933 and was told two minutes. Now 22 minutes late. Finally arrived 1959! Rubbish delivery service. I am sure the curry will be good but really fed up about being lied to to and told we are busy! I am also a client so don't promise delivery times you cannot meet!

Sheesh Mahal is a nice restaurant in Twickenham. It’s also great as it’s a bring your own booze. Service good and food enjoyable.

The food is mostly great from Sheesh Mahal but the time it takes to get it is just too long. ordered at 6.50 pm and arrived at 8.15 and that's a common theme. Thankfully the food is worth the wait.

What was a solid curry house is now a pale of its former self. Very average food, bored service, over bright lighting and quiet. We should have been warned when it was so easy to get a table on a Friday evening.

I got to Twickenham pretty late so this was one of the only places offering food. I had two courses. We thought the food was good value. There were not many people there in terms of atmosphere.

The food always arrives promptly and piping hot, and the staff are relatively friendly. My favourite dish is the lamb bhuna. I am never disappointed when I eat here!

We ordered paneer tikka dry and onion bhaji for takeaway. Paneer tikka was smelling so bittery Nd the sauce which was provided with that was even worse. Total waste of money. No wonder the restaurent was empty but we were out of option for any indian food. I would not recommend this restaurant to my enemy even! Horrible

Popadoms we’re stale and chicken rezala was chewy, very disappointing as we always order from here. Had the same problem last time, was hoping it was a one off.

Very welcoming host. More on the food.. where to start. Poppadoms with a pickles including a very refreshing coconut one. Then a sweet dhansak and a spicy gosht and a few other dishes, including a jahl naan. If your in town for the rugby or otherwise well worth coming here for an amazing curry.

Very disappointed with Sheesh Mahal, we ordered takeaway (we normally eat in) 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 rice and 2 breads and that came to £33 so quite expensive. We opted to pay cash and when the driver arrived I tried to pay with 2 x £20 notes and the driver said he had no change and he asked if that was okay? I said no not really but he took the money and no change ever arrived. £33 was expensive anyway but £40 is a rip off, who sends a driver out to deliver for cash with no change!? The lamb karahi curry was basically half a portion as you can see from the picture and was half the size of the chicken madras and the lamb was tough and chewy. The chicken madras was ordered extra spicy but had no heat at all, infact it was very bitter from too much lemon. All in all a very poor takeaway and the most expensive one we have ever ordered. We will not be using Sheesh Mahal again, a much better local option is Jolly's in Whitton if you are looking for a tasty good value Indian. Food: 1/5 | Service: 1/5

I came here last year for a friend's birthday and I returned here last week, I reserved a table for 8.00. I attended the rugby at RFU HQ, England v Wales, we arrived at the restaurant at 8.30 due to the huge crowd leaving the stadium, and of course all the bars and restaurants in Twickenham were crowded, but despite the huge demand for tables, our table was ready when we arrived, friendly prompt efficient attentive customer service and delicious food. This was my companion's first visit and she was very impressed. The restaurant offered a 10% discount to customers who paid cash, that's a great idea and very generous. So I've had two very nice evenings here and I'll definitely return.

Lovely food. Not cheap but really good

Service and food was ok. Asked to take left over food home. However they placed the chicken spicy curry on top of the rice. So the next day there was no rice to the vegetarian to eat. Frustrating.

We got a take away from here. We had to wait a little bit for the food, but they invit6us to sit in the restaurant and gave us papadams while we waited. The curry we received was really delicious. We ordered 3 and they were all distinctly different and delicious. My parents go here often and say it's always good. Definitely worth a visit/go if you're getting a take away.

Sheesh is the only Indian restaurant we go to to eat in and take away. We have a large group of friends we have frequently come with and we have for many years. Also for our family birthdays and Christmas Eve. Delicious food and lovely friendly staff.

Absolutely the best Indian restaurant in the area. Having lived many years in both the balti triangle in Birmingham and near Brick Lane in East London this is probably the most reliably good Indian restaurant I’ve even eaten at. Absolutely my favourite Friday night takeaway the dishes are always really fresh tasting and are distinctly different from each other I like many other takeaways I’ve had over the years. I’m a meat eater and the garlic chilli lamb is a personal favourite but I must recommend mitha lau which is absolutely delicious. This place deserves a way higher score!

Food was OK. Was told food had been delivered on time, but didn’t show up for a further 20 minutes and it was their own delivery van. Very disappointing and not recommended at all.

Not been here for quite a while having had a disappointing meal. Nothings really changed sadly. Stylish place, clean, nice decor but…. a tasteless pasanda (how??). When we commented was told that’s how it tastes! Service was indifferent until we sent said pasanda back but too late then. The pickle tray was tasty as was the okra. Wine excellent (but it’s byo!). We gave it a go but won’t be returning. Place was empty.

-5* Ordered a take away from here, it wasn’t what we expected! Overly priced, terrible taste of food. ‘’Mutur Paneer’’ was too sweet and creamy which initially should be more like a curry, with lots of spices and masalah! ‘’Pilau rice’’ was too dry. ‘‘Prawn on puri’’ - it had different taste like cant even describe if its meant to be sweet or spicy. Overall really bad and confusing taste of food.paid £20 for all these - £3.40 ish for Peshwari Naan - non sense! Highly don’t recommend it from here. It wasn’t authentic enough! Just sweet In all dishes we ordered! P

To be honest it was good but the chicken sag had too much salt in it, it would be good if the chefs could reduce the salt levels in the food.

Korma and Tikka Masala were great, but the Dansak was so much spicier than expected and tasted of powdered spice. Dansak is my favourite dish, but I couldn't eat it.

Ok curry house but messed up our booking and charge £21 for 12 poppadoms……

On rugby days, you are herded in like cattle. The menu is different to normal, with the price for a main at a minimum of£17. Rice and naan £5 plus. A complete rip off and happy to rip off the passing English rugby fan. We had a few measly bits of chicken / lamb in each dish. Unless you’re full of booze with deep pockets, think twice.

A great place for lunch before the Rugby. Its a set menu as such with a limited choice. The food is good as is the service. Staff are really friendly. Please note that if you want an alcoholic drink you have to nip next door to buy it and there is a corkage charge.

Avoid this place at any cost, very overpriced which I don't mind if the quality is good but I only enjoyed the nan bread the rest of the food was not fresh and completely tasteless. Never again

Our second time visiting after the rugby ans once again the food was spectacular. Not only or greasy, flavourful, aromatic and every dish full of flavour. Best Indian we have had for a long time. Will be back again after the next rugby match
