For some reason, food is ALWAYS slow at this branch. I do not experience this at other Leon branches. It isn’t the FOH staff. They’re always waiting on the kitchen. Perhaps it is just understaffed I don’t know. Don’t take your customer loyalty for granted.

Food is really good. The interior is not too comfortable, though. Worth coming for the food. There are two bathrooms, the one upstairs is much nicer.

Very dirty restaurant, food remnants everywhere. No clean tables. Chairs left in the middle of the room. The place is a chaotic mess.

Leon is so overated, i dont even understand gow the business still manages to stay open, food tastes horrible, like eating out of a dusbin truck, terrible service, overpriced too. DONT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO WANTS QUALITY FOOD.

Warm August lunchtime. Door open, steps down into warm restaurant, I was lured in by Special lunch offer of starter and main course £15.95. But no mention on menu given as to which combos were possible. The separate special lunch menu was then found. I ordered humus and a main of lamb koobideh with saffron rice and salad. And a mint tea made with fresh leaves. All were excellent. The koobideh was like lamb kofte kebabs but gentler lamby flavour with slight onion effect, less aggressive spicing and more tender than turkish koftes. The rice and salad good. Humus came at same time so waited even longer as eating the hot food was priority. But it was beautifully made, lovely flavour of sesame and chickpeas, perfect. With the drink and service charge on all, it came to £20.76. Toilet upstairs very clean. Will certainly go again

Went here for a birthday lunch. Food was good. It was tasty but I have had better. The bread was dry and somewhat bare. A bit too much vinegar in the sauces. Toilets were clean. Customer service was fine and one of the ladies explained how to eat one of dishes - very proactive and good. There were very few seaters but some more takeaways. The only thing which annoyed me was when two customers next to us when the restaurant was almost empty. It was difficult to get in and out of our table. Management needs to re-think their seating policy as it could hinder repeat custom.

I always like coming to Leon, but this is the second time I come, within a month and the toilets are still out of service. If I am going to sit and have something to eat there is a chance I may need to use the toilets. I hope next time I come, the "toilets out of service signe, won't be there anymore.

Delicious food, particularly the lamb. The chicken was very nice but not as tasty. We arrived without a reservation and were placed in a tight corner. It wasn't an issue as my daughter is 5'3" but it would have been for my fat 6' tall brother.

I’ve been here a couple times recently at lunchtime and I don’t think I’ll go again - food always seems like it’s been prepared with no care and feels like it’s been hanging around for a while.

Two meals and 2 drinks in the evening of 21 May 2024. Restaurant was still serving new customers. I was refused access to the customer toilets by the woman serving because "They had already cleaned them for the day". I politely asked again but was again refused. I asked if there were any nearby public toilets and was told that there were not. Absolutely disgraceful service. They were happy to take my money. I was respectable, well dressed, sober and clean. This was an insult and a huge inconvenience.

Nice ambiance. Easy to order from the machine. Receipt can’t be printed but emailed instead. Saving paper & the environment. Love burger was really tasty. Ordered with baked potato fries. The lentil rice was tasty too but was expecting to see more lentils. Vanilla matcha latte is delish and good quality matcha. The staff was serving with smile and friendly!

Visited here on Friday a group of 5 people.Because we had not booked we had to go up stairs. We ordered starters and mains .One of the starters was an aubergine dish would have been better it if had been whole slices. Two of the orders had lamb came with the bread would have nice to have more seasoning on the lamb and a s@uce. We ordered the chicken dish which came with half a plate of rice.Would have been better with more salad. The service was good and staff were pleasant.

Great food but wrong drink delivered with my order….a white tea instead of black coffee. This app makes it impossible to flag this when the drink is part of a combo/bundle order item.

My salmon and avocado breakfast egg bowl was tasty and accompanying latte hit the spot. Plenty of seating and plugs upstairs to work remotely plus wifi is solid.

Great food, great prices and friendly staff. Ideal for a quick interesting lunch.

Burgers are not up to the usual standard, with no pickles, crushed, and very sparse on lettuce.

Fabulous. The team here is always friendly and the food is quick enough that you know it's being made to order whilst not taking forever. When I had a recent problem, the team were conscientious and kept me in regular correspondence. Unbeatable customer service.

I asked for no sauce and got sauce. Also missing a smoothie drink.

I watched one of your back staff members whipe her nose and prosess my nuggets order with her bare hands ,no tongs or gloves ! I cancelled my order.

This is the worst Leon I've ever visited and I always speak highly about this chain. I went in this evening and ordered 5 love burgers a couple of things left off some of the burgers as my family is fussy about what they eat. I asked the manager on duty repeatedly to get the order right he assured me he would go and make sure it was done. It was quite late I was one of the very few left in the restaurant I could hear them giggling round the back which is fine doesn't bother me, I had a bad feeling something would go wrong I got home and one of the burgers had no patty!! just empty with a squirt of sauce and some lettuce An utter disgrace. He stood over the employee for 10 minutes while she put the order together there's no way a manager on duty could be that incompetent so I have a feeling he did it on purpose. I don't know why maybe he enjoys ruining people's evenings, I knew there would be trouble as soon as I ordered with him and so repeatedly asked him to get the order right he had a terrible attitude and I obviously won't be going back there again Would have been Better off going to macdonalds

This restaurant is truly a gem. Great service, very warm and welcoming team and of course the food was fantastic! Great portions, amazing flavours and quick service. The barberry rice is a must have!

Went by mistake as looking for a curry house but enjoyed, it was very cramped and thankfully booked as would never have got in a s only a small restaurant. Meats were very good, it was fine but probably would not recommend mainly due to seating

Staff always just stood around talking, even if there’s a long queue of customers waiting for their food. Frustrating!

Children’s meal was supposed to be with rice, not with chips.

Lovely hard working restaurant in Richmond. Visited there 3 times in 5 weeks and each time have experienced delicious freshly cooked food with good service and good waiting times and very reasonable prices (especially on their lunchtime weekday offers). Small and simply decorated. High food standards and cleanliness. Delicious food with very generous portion sizes.

One item missing. Asked JE for a refund. Otherwise nice healthy food

Coeliac Review: The GFC nuggets are AMAZING. The fries are also GF and so good. Only downside is they shut their toilets around 18:30pm which is annoying if you’re eating in.

Visiting in the area, we decided to have lunch and happened upon Saffron. It caught our attention as a Persian Restaurant and we are always interested in something different! The waitress was very welcoming with a genuine smile for customers. She helped with the menu and we had Baghali polo (lamb shank with rice, fresh dill and shelled broad beans) and Koobideh with rice (minced lamb skewers with saffron rice, grilled tomato and salad). It was so filling and so good, that we did not eat another meal that day!

Quiet late Sunday, so not many around, staff were still attentive and pleasant. Food was good, the fish wrap was nice, but would have preferred a lighter wrap.

Burgers were tasty - still warm and not soggy! Thumbs up!

I ordered the Best of Leon Bundle and the cookie, sauce was missing completely. I had ordered Halloumi but got chicken instead.

Had a fab meal tonight, lovely cosy restaurant. Packed out so I’d recommend booking. Halloumi and hummus starter followed by chicken skewer with salad and rice. You have to wait a bit for freshly cooked food but it’s worth it, wine reasonable priced too.

Ordered a sausage and egg muffin which turned up with no egg in it and the cappuccino was half full! Shocking!

Excellent food but meal spoilt by FRESHLY BAKED COOKIE missing despite being listed on the receipt, not least because of having to fret over how to obtain a partial refund. Only 5 items to check and the food is not cheap so this is not on.

Weird unsmiling gaffer with a stupid hair net on despite short hair? Tables and decor worn out and peeling. The arancini were very good but incredibly small and the chicken was slightly burnt tasting and greasy- no longer a healthy place to eat they have sold out and become an expensive burger joint. Nearly £10 for two small starters.

Leon rang me to advise that replacement desserts were necessary. All very tasty as was the Chicken Satay & Rice

I regularly order a hot drink and eat from their lunch/ dinner menu. A delicious and affordable option in Richmond making it one of my favourites to dine in or take out for a picnic on Richmond green during the week warmer months. The upstairs has really comfy seating too (for remote working)! Friendly regular staff with a warm atmosphere 🤤

Boring food - the wrap was not tasty and literally collapsed in my hand. I'd imagine that the right on brigade / vegans would love this place.

I know Leon can be hit and miss, but this was definitely a miss. Caribbean Chicken Curry and Chilli Chicken were basically both bland chicken and rice, no flavour at all. Dismal.

First visit to this branch and I was impressed with the quality and quantity of the portions. The porridge pot was jam packed and the team cut the toast ‘properly’ :-). Friendly staff and easy listening tunes in the background. From the nearby train station it’s a 5 minute walk and I will be visiting again when I’m back in the area.

They got my order wrong: I ordered barbeque chicken & they gave me chilli con carne. The staff at this place rope the upstairs off during less busy periods so that they can use it as their own private social space, which in my view reflects poorly on their attitude to the customers.
