food was very late and even after we contacted restaurant we were given later delivery times which were still very late.we will not be using this restaurant again even when food did arrive most of it was cold.

Éramos cinco, vinimos a cenar por nuestro 25 aniversario de boda. La comida era tan auténtica y sabrosa, pero lo que era encantador era ... estaba todo tan bien presentado. El servicio del personal es insuperable. Se esfuerzan por hacerlo especial. Estaba muy ocupado, pero sabíamos que la comida estaba recién preparada, así que esperar un poco más de masticar panecillos y charlar estaba bien para nosotros. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente, pero debe reservar ya que se están volviendo muy populares. 100 % sí Gracias 🙏🏼

¿Qué ha pasado con el Golden Gate? Esta comida solía ser encantadora, pero después de una comida para llevar anoche, no voy a volver! Los bhajis de cebolla estaban crujientes y secos. La dopiaza de pollo era de un color rojo intenso y el pollo estaba seco. Mi compañero tenía Madrás de cordero que estaba seco y la comba aloo, las patatas eran duras. Los parathas eran un poco pastosos, podría haber hecho con unos minutos más Muy decepcionante.

Decided to eat in as the family were all together. Food is fabulous, These are not traditional dishes, the chefs had definately added his touch which leaves a minefield for someone with a coconut allergy as it seemed to turn up in the most unusual of places, however the chef accomodated an allergy. The waiting staff are a joke. Waited for drink order to be taken he only asked half the table, got given bottled not tap. Son asked for a coke, which came in a glass bottle whilst other diners got big glasses. Waited for over 20 minutes after main course to be asked about desert, but decided to ask for bill which took a further 10 minutes. Price was good if you took off the over priced coke and frog water!

AND - the lids were not secure and when I took the first pack out it spilled all over table and my rug. I will have to get the rug dry cleaned. What a waste of £30. I ate and my hubby didn’t eat his because most of it is in the floor.

Dry rice, the butter chicken used far too much coconut - also forgot to give Deliveroo driver the drink. Underwhelming..

Very fast service and great food

Food received was nice, though a main dish was missing and a pilau rice was cold and in clumps, not as good as normal.

Pre booked a 6pm delivery time and called the restaurant 3 separate times and the person taking the call was not very apologetic and cut me off when asked him why the order was so late. It turned up 30 minutes late

It’s been a long time since we were last at the Golden Gate at the Woodstock (if we can still call the local area the Woodstock as the pub has gone now?) When we visited last there was a buffet option with different dishes that you could help yourself to. Now they seem to have a new really good offer, a starter, main, side, and either rice or a Nann for around £12 each. Which seems to work out as a great deal. We went on a Wednesday and fairly early (around 6.15 pm ish) and some tables were already taken. We hadn’t booked but they managed to fit us in. It seems to be fairly busy for most of the evening. We didn’t leave until around 10.30 and there was still a table other than us. We did not feel rushed at all. The food was really nice and we shared most of it between the 3 of us. There was some left, but not loads. I would say the portions were a reasonably good size. We also had poppadoms to start. We tried a few different dishes and thought it was all well done. I had a madras and it wasn’t too spicy, just enough to give it a little kick. Not blow your head off. Would defo. recommend a visit to try it out.

First time we have used these after looking for a long time for a decent Indian takeaway. Food was amazing Will def be using them again

The chicken was raw. Chicken korma and chicken tikka tasted the same. No flavours. Very disappointing. Not at all delivering true authentic Indian food. Didn’t even offer a refund even though the chicken was literally raw. We also didn’t have any dips for the popadoms. Poor service as a whole.

I have used this restaurant for years. Ordered today and apart from the food gone up so much it was poor. Our onion bhaji was so over cooked you could not eat them. My chicken madras had 5 small pieces of chicken the sauce was more like a stew than a curry. My husband had the lamb safe again not meat in the dish for £8.50 a dish there should be more meat in there dishes. It’s so sad to write this as used to love there food. It’s not worth the money and very unfriendly on the phone. We will have to look for a new Indian restaurant to use in future.

Been to this restaurant a few times and also had many deliveries from them. Unfortunately on 3 different occasions I’ve found thick black hairs in my food. It’s unacceptable and disgusting. Won’t be going back.

Considering the restaurant is 0.6miles away the food was cold, so after a day at work and looked forward to a nice curry was very disappointed

There was a pilau rice missing from the order. The food was not hot enough, luke warm. We pre-ordered so didn't expect cold food. When handing over our food the delivery the driver said he had a double order. The driver was delivering another order to our neighbours at the same time as us. It appeared that our food was left waiting in a bag whilst their order was prepared, as all the lids had sunk in and some of the curry had spilled in the bag. Bad show New Golden Gate, no more orders from us.

Unfortunately the food was cold and very watery

Probably the worst mutter paneer I've had in my life . Too sweet too much sugar added. It was like eating a dessert instead of a curry! Couldn't taste the tomato curry base it was just yoghurt mixed with sugar and a bit of paneer added. The garlic naan was okay. Samosa chat was bad too. Its not a proper samosa chat

Food was perfectly cooked very tasty and just melted in your mouth. Beautiful

I had finished a 12hr shift at the hospital and wanted some hot tasty food. What I got was a Luke warm mush.

Ordered a delivery and it stated forty five minutes. I waited 90 mins heard nothing so went to the restaurant. They apologised and blamed lack of staff. They then gave me the food after another 10 mins Unfortunately one of the meals was wrong as well so a disappointing experience Not the first time they were late so won’t use again

The order was late by over 40 mins .got the order for another address not our one .rang up ,and the correct order arrived in 10 mins .did get a bottle of wine as an apology. Food was not very warm 😕

I have travelled all the way from Bonnie Scotland and the first place I wanted to go was to this amazing restaurant. I highly recommend the food and the staff are all amazing to. PS the coconut rice is to die for!

The food was absolutely brilliant. Great size portions, absolutely delicious and piping hot when it arrived. We could not have been happier. We have definitely found our new local curry house!!

Rang up for delivery on Sat eve... Large order that arrived within 40 minutes plus a free bottle of wine thrown in for orders over £35..All meat and veg dishes were excellent and good portions. Only downside was the small amount of Prawns in the Jalfrazei dish. Also they could have done a better job wiping the containers as they were a bit of a mess..Overall though it was all well received and good value.

Phoned the restaurant 10 minutes after the delivery time and was told delivery guy is just leaving. Food was lukewarm when it arrived. Food was ok but excellent onion bhajis.

Food arrived 40 minutes late. This was after contacting the restaurant. When the food arrived it was lukewarm at best. We were also missing 4 items which then took another 15 minutes to arrive. Meaning everyone was eating separately. Offered a 50% refund which just eat didn’t honour. Really disappointed.

This is something weird which I have never seen in any restaurants in London or anywhere in the world. I found hair in mutter paneer and I immediately made waiter aware of that. Then again I found another hair in naan as well and when made this aware to manager then he was furious and said directly not to eat anything and to go away. I was shocked with his behaviour and left restaurant immediately. This is not the way customers should be treated where I was just making them realise there faults. Just horrible service and something which is not expected in food. Will never recommend. Thanks!

Food was delicious. Unfortunately the paper bag was wet from spillage in transit and when i lifted it out the meals dropped through the bag onto the floor, had to rescue my chicken tikka off the floor! Good job it wasnt all over my shagpile,, I had chicken tawa which was delicious and garlic, coriander naan the best, the chicken tikka was lovely despite being no sauce as it was on the kitchen floor. Dissapointing

I ordered saag paneer, which is spinach and cottage cheese. If I order this curry from any restaurant, the way it’s cooked it’s it’ll have at least mild spices and not sweet at all. But this restaurant had cooked it with coconut milk and made it really sweet like a dessert. To make it even worse, I clearly mentioned to make it spicy, however the chef seems to ignore the comments and went ahead anyway. Because I am Indian I know how these foods are. This was my first time I ordered from this restaurant and it’ll be the last. I will never ever order any food from this restaurant as they’ve really bad service as well. And I am not even sorry for leaving them bad review.

Either I’ve got Covid, or our curries were as bland as cardboard! Very oily and covered with onion, these were 3 bad curries. Rice was bearable & Naan was very nice. I won’t be back!

Really bad service waited an hour for food when it did come it was not all there had to ask for the rest when half way through our dinner wasn’t asked if we needed another drink when had none left all in all next time I would get a takeaway my dog at home would give me better service

This was our second time visiting the restaurant. The first visit in August 2019 which was lovely, with really tasty food, served up hot, and well presented. Second time visit, not very impressed, I ordered the butter chicken and was served a chicken korma!.. the dish itself was serviced in what I would call a cereal bowl.. which was cold to the touch making my meal warm... I was reluctant to send it back, as I've been ill from previous experiences of reheated food, so I managed half and left the rest.. husband was happy, but not I.. saying that though, I'm hoping it was the usual chef's night off..

Went here for my dads birthday - absolutely terrible customer service: - Waited nearly 1 hour for the food to arrive - Waiter added ice to the mango lassi using his hand - Waiter spilled drink on our table - Waiter kept forgetting to serve us cutlery - Metal parts of the pan was found in the biryani and upon complaining, took a further 10 minutes to address - Curry was cold - We were the first to order but the Caucasian family whom came 20 minutes after us got their food earlier. Only positives: - Mango Lassi was quite nice - 50% off the bill due to the horrific service and bland food I would not recommend this place - ruined the birthday experience for my dad.

I have used this restaurant a few times for take away. On Saturday night I ordered here and there was a small issue with our order (only the order was late on the Saturday before Christmas when they was VERY busy) but I was SO IMPRESSED with their customer service that I felt I had to leave a review. They dealt with the issue promptly and went above and beyond to apologise for the mistake. Delicious food as always!

Having subsequently found out this establishment's hygiene rating, I am not surprised how ill I was after eating here. Do yourselves a favour, please eat somewhere else.

It s always amazing meal we get here proper autentic indian restaurante in this location even lots of choice their menu i can recomand all to try.

I went in on a whim and was greeted very warmly. They had a fixed price menu for 4 courses between 17:00 & 23:00 Sunday to Thursday and I chose this option cost £10:95. Virtually the whole menu was available on this offer which was brilliant. The portions were excellent to the point where I had to take a doggie bag home with me.For my main I had ( Chicken ) MurgTanger which I found very tasty indeed the herbs and spices used made the dish have a little tang but not overbearing.I certainly would eat here again.

If you want a convenient restaurant who’s food is very good quality with equally good service this is the place.Service is attentive, polite and quick. Food quality is fresh, good ingredients and authentic. There’s plenty of choice in SW London, but there’s little point in me going anywhere else

My husband and I ate at this restaurant for the first time, and the meal was wonderful in every way. The portions were very large, and the food itself was tasty. We had a few drinks as well and the whole bill was incredibly reasonable. Will definitely be going there again.

We came first time to this place ,The food was so tasty, very big portions and wide range of verities with very reasonable price of menu it's definatly worth it.

Went here for New Years eve meal at 7.30 p.m. We had booked in advance but our table was up against the out of use buffet trolley, right next to the toilets. Starters were OK. The main dishes were really awful. I had a king prawn karahi/korai dish which had barely cooked veg in it (mainly green peppers and onions ) .Actually , it resembled Chinese food . Nothing like a karahi sauce .

We had group meals on Saturday night and we had very good time they’re very busy and too crowded the food was too good and service was extremely well and very reasonable prices compare to all restaurants it’s simple great.

I have given the 4 stars because the food was so good but we found the restaurant to be too bright for our liking, the décor and ambience were average and the overhead heater/air con unit kept blowing out very hot air every so often. The service too was average, the waiters didn't seem very happy and didn't engage in any conversation until we were leaving.

I ordered this evening and requested the free bottle of wine for orders over £22 in which my order was.

Came for family meal on a Sunday. Food was awful got the dishes wrong. Dishes that shouldn’t be spicy was very spicy. The korma was very watery tasted horrible. The cheese naan was cold so was some of the main dishes. Will not be returning.

Curry always brilliant but consistently delivered over an hour after 'estimated delivery time'. Would be easier to go and collect it from the shop which goes against the whole idea of Just Eat. Also when tracking order, it says delivered when it still didn't arrive for another 20 minutes! We panicked that the order had been delivered to the wrong house by mistake but looks like the driver wasn't being accurate avout the delivery.
