Asian Tandoori Restaurant in Sutton

Went to Asia tandoori tonight for grandsons Birthday .lovely meal so enjoyed it here's to hoping you survive lockdown condition .

The place was crowded even on Thursday. The food was quite palatable, price highly reasonable. Just we had to wait more than 40 mins to get the food. But worth a wait we had madras chicken, extremely spicy prawn, naan, pulau. We were 6 of us and Bill was 66£ which was very reasonable.

First time visiting this Restaurant, early evening for Father's day 3 generations. Food was prepared and presented nicely by the two smiling waiters on duty. Great service had, and shall return again soon.

Very Satisfying. I’ve been here about 6-8 times and it’s always been a pleasant dinning experience. I usually have a Lamb Balti;I ask for it to be vindaloo hot and my partner has Naga Chicken because it has a Heat flavour similar to African/Caribbean hot peppers. Staff are friendly, toilet is ok. Nothing fancy, just a typically traditional local Indian restaurant.

This venue was a new experience for wife and I despite the fact we have lived in the area over 50 years. Was introduced by our daughter and was very pleased with the service and the food quality and quantity.

Pathetic food, don't visit this restaurant, I ordered chicken tikka masala and it was pathetic they deliberately add sugar on that with uncooked chicken pieces.

Ordered a table 4 days in advance they knew anything about it. Service was bad the lamb was tough,the chicken was very dry.

Stood outside at 22.20 looking at the menu deciding what to order for take away. All of a sudden the guys from inside turned off the lights on the menu board. Google says you close at 11pm and also this is what it says on your door. Not serving 1(!!) meal 40 minutes before closing when the restaurant is nearly empty is just simply RUDE.

Food turned up late. Food was cold, tikka masala tasted weird. Nann was raw still and revived no sagg paneer will not be ordering from here again.

Feels very nice, but very reasonable prices - my korma and naan order was just over £10. The chicken korma was delicious - and it’s the slightly sweet version with coconut which I’ve had a hard time finding. The peshwari sweet naan didn’t taste exactly right, but I have hopes for the other types

Another great meal! Have not had a bad dish here! Nice layback atmosphere! My favourite local restaurant! Highly recommended!

I go to this restaurant frequently and 8 times out of 10 the food is fantastic. However, now and then, it can disappoint.

I recently had a disappointing food experience at this place. Although I don't want to be unkind, I am still giving them 5 stars so that their ratings don't suffer. However, I must say, they add coconut milk, oil, or coconut itself to almost every North Indian dish (as called on the menu), which is sin for any north Indian food lover. All the dishes are sweet! Horribly wrong! It's not how authentic North Indian or Mughlai food is prepared. If it's more fitting for Bangladeshi cuisine, then they shouldn't call themselves an Indian food place or use Indian dish names. I believe they can train their cooks to prepare more authentic or at least closer-to-authentic Indian dishes. They may have a loyal customer base, but if they serve genuine Indian food, even Indians themselves would be interested, especially if the ambience is decent. Lot of Indians in Hackbridge already specially due to Mill quarters. Unfortunately, the food I ordered was not good. We chose this place because it's conveniently located right across the street from our home, and the prices were reasonable. We received a large quantity of food (4 gravy dishes, rice and rotis) for £23, but it has been sitting in our refrigerator for the past 20 hours, and we don't feel like eating it. However, we also feel guilty about throwing it away. If they are truly interested in improving, I suggest they follow the "Chef Ranveer Brar" YouTube channel to learn how to cook decent Indian dishes. They will notice a significant difference in taste. The current taste is not representative of authentic Indian food. I have never had Indian food like this before. Since their location is just a one-minute walk from my apartment, I would appreciate it if they made some positive changes. It would be very convenient for me and others in the area. I used to really like ordering from here but recently every time I have, my order has all spilled out the packaging and has leaked over the bag. I think better food containers will be a good idea.

Nice inexpensive food but the staff not the most friendly. Spent £70 on takeaway on a quiet night but seemed a bit of an effort to serve us. Get a grip on customer service.

We had previously eaten here many years ago and didn’t think it was as good as our usual favourite Indian restaurant so have never returned. We tried again recently and had a really nice meal. It was a Saturday night and not that busy in the restaurant, we hadn’t booked in advance. It was very busy with online delivery orders though. The menu is large and really reasonably priced, with all the dishes you would expect being included. Our order was taken as soon as we were ready and our food arrived at a good pace. All food was served on super hot plates and dishes, which suited us as no heaters provided and our food stayed hot throughout the meal. The food was definitely a notch up from our last meal there, good portion sizes and well flavoured. Glad we gave Asia Tandoori another try, we will return again soon.

Friendly staff especially Charlie I think his name was ...food amazing ☺️ ☺️ especially 4 courses! (Wednesday nights!) For £11.95 cheaper for kids ....plenty to choose from living 5 minutes up the road were definitely be back ...on a regular basis! 💯💯💯💯

The food here is decent but we were mortified to find hair on our naan bread the last time we ordered take away. It’s a real shame. We’re never gonna eat/order from this restaurant again.

The food is excellent. No quibbles with that. Portions generous, quality is good. Very consistent and prices reasonable.. Service was slow when I visited with a party of 6. Very intensive take out business on the go and most all covers occupied. Understandable, but a bit more attention would have improved the experience, e.g asking about drinks and pops straight away Only concern was lack of a working hand dryer in the only toilet the establishment has..

Lovely meal well worth the money

Dont order here if you are hungry ordered food at 5.50 to be told 1hour and 10minute wait. I agree to wait that time to then have items missing from my order and then have to wait again for nearly another hour. 8pm and stuff missing has still not been delivered. Rang restaurant twice to be told it's on it's way and i asked for a refund I was denied a refund and told next time to mention it and they will add something. They told me this last time I ordered and stuff when it was missing!! Such a shame as food is nice but will not be ordering from here again as my food that did arrive is now cold and everyone else who was eating has eaten.

Went here yesterday with my family, we had the set menu which is on Wednesday, I can only say that the food was fantastic, I had tandoori chops for starter and lamb shank for main course , with rice and a side , it was fantastic value for money , will certainly be back for more.

Great Delivery service via Uber Eats. We happened upon this restaurant by chance via the Ubereats app. Thank goodness we did, a delicious meal and unbelievably fast service. We will 100% be using the Asia Tandoori more often.

When I booked, they had kept alternate tables empty, so it felt safe. (Apart from the waiter handling refill by asking to take my glass, and bringing the same glass back, held perilously close to the top)

Good value good with plenty of variety in the menu (not that many places where you can get a main dish for around £6). All the classics and a number of other dishes available. Generally in our group we miss the starters and just get some extra sides to share - bearing this in mind we all plenty to eat, plus couple drinks - roughly £25p/h including tip. Very reasonable for decent quality of food. Poppadoms look bought in but that's about the only gripe

I have been using this restaurant for over 28 years never had a problem over the last 2 years the services has been bad the food passable We have just had our last takeaway from here The food was greasy in fact it was covering the plate all the containers were covered in it The food was cold and had no taste There were a couple of missing items There was no point in letting them know as we have done in the past yet nothing change Not value for money

We ordered a meal for all our family on Sunday night. Advised it would be 20-25 minutes. My husband waited in the restaurant for over hour, total time for take away is 1.5. Hrs. No apology was given. Restaurant was quite but lots take outs. When he finally got home the children were all shattered and then we found that part of the order was missing. I called them and they just said tell them the next time you come in. “really” After spending years using this restaurant I don’t think we will be going there any longer. Shame all the old staff are not there because they cared.

Been coming to this curry house for as long as i can remember. Charlie and the team are brilliant and always very welcoming. The food is absolutely brilliant and I always come back here despite trying other curry houses when with friends. The food is always piping hot and great taste. The portions are good and always fresh ingredients!

Party of 11 catered for by friendly staff in clean and pleasant surroundings - background music a little too loud on occasions but mostly just in the background - a bit of a wait for our food but there were 11 of us - food was delicious as always - our family's Asian restaurant of choice for around 30 years - thank you for your continued superb service.

been using for take away for a few months, food is ok, but they started trying to bump the price over £20 and offer free onion bhajis when it's really £17-18 before the advertised 10% discount for <£20. Last straw tonight as they did it again, and after haggling down to the real price got home to find the sheek kebab was just 2 lonely bits of meat in a container, no onions, no accompanying salad. Seems ok if you're happy to spend over £20 regardless of the real cost. won't be using them again. Pat

Absolutely THE best curry house I've ever been to! The staff are very welcoming, and the food is outstanding. I've been countless times and never ever had a single problem, and always look forward to returning. Everything is prepared really well and the presentation is spot on when they bring it out. The in house chefs are fantastic, I've never eaten anything which has surpassed the quality of Asia Restaurant . Really lucky to have a little gem of a restaurant like this here in Thurrock!

We had planned to eat in the red lion but the kitchen had closed. As we were in the area we decided to walk across to the Asia tandoori. We have been once many years ago and hoped it had improved as we found it just ok on our previous visit. The restaurant quite old fashioned in decor but we found our food to be a lot better than on our last visit. The naan bread was huge! We asked for a wine bucket for our wine and they had none so just given 2 glasses of ice? Like others have said the 2 waiters are extremely po faced but our bill was given by another man who we assumed to be the manager and he was much friendlier. Would we go back? We wouldn't go out of our way but we wouldn't avoid it.

Did not use this restaurant for quite a while as we thought it had gone downhill. Thought we would give it another try and we were pleasantly surprised. Went for an eat in meal in January and the food was very tasty and well cooked. Had a take away this weekend (8April) and again food was very tasty and well cooked and plentiful.

We had a lovely curry meal here a few weeks ago & decided tonight to order takeaway from here. The food arrived in a good time and was delivered by a friendly driver. The food was as delicious as it was in the restaurant, chicken madras, chicken ceylon, rice, naan etc all very tasty. Would definitely visit / order from here again and highly recommended !!!!.
