Perfect taste , nice meals and variation

Had a meal last night and the food was terrible. I don’t know where they source their chicken but it may be a good idea to change supplier. The only thing worse than the food was the customer service with the manger being very rude to my two Indian women friends. On the bright side the toilets were very clean.

I ordered food at half past five on a Thursday. At twenty to seven still no sign of the delivery. I phoned the restaurant and was rudely told that there was lots of traffic (on the two miles between my house and the restaurant). After calling three times, the food arrived cold an hour and thirty-five minutes after ordering. No apology, no discount. Never ordering again and never recommending either.

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. We went as part of a group and most of us found that our food was not hot enough, and the plates were cold. My husband is unable to eat onion and garlic and we have found that the other Indian restaurants are able to prepare him a meal free of these things. Not here!! The only thing they could give him was poor quality chicken nuggets and chips. Definitely not the type of meal you would give a senior citizen. We will not be returning.

We went Oasis, a couple of weeks ago, a Friday night. The restaurant was very busy. We were told that it would a wait of around 40 minutes. We were asked if we had booked, which we did not. The last time I booked a table, we turned up and our table was not reserved. I forgave the restaurant this time. So we continued to go. Not any more. Samantha

Been here a few times with family. Food is always good, decent portions. Very reasonable, love that it's a byob! Service is a bit patchy though, voukd be improved!

Ordered food for delivery. Took ages to come because they ignored the delivery note and the food was bad (too sugary) with hair on it.

We always go to the Indian Oasis for birthdays.Went last night 22/09/23,very busy,but service very speedy but not rushed.Food so freshly cooked and tasty. Reasonably priced.

My favourite Indian takeaway, chicken tikka is always flavourful and juicy and rice and ctk is always cooked to perfection

Amazing food, friendly staff will be returning. Great value for money, got I early without a booking but restaurant filled quickly so would advise booking.

The portions are smaller than average. When we told the business owner, he didn't like the feedback and was very rude. The customer service from then on went downhill. Very unpleasant experience.

We went in to pick up some food on our way back from Croydon. We needed it in 10 minutes, before our next bus came. The owner brought hot very nice fragrant food in about 7 minutes. We were over joyed. Got home after a long journey, on a freezing night and had this hot food. It made our day. Thank you Indian Oasis.

That was a lovely dinner tonight that I ordered online and collected. Thank you very much. Compliments to the chef and all staff who are always very nice.

10 of us had a curry in the Indian Oasis last Friday and it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and fast and all the food came out at the same time and was piping hot. The prices were also very reasonable and as it is byob it worked out even cheaper. I would definitely recommend and will be back again. Thank you very much.

Would highly recommend Indian Oasis. This was our first visit & we’ll definitely be back! Food was amazing and the staff are so lovely. Looking forward to trying out the takeaway.

I've been ordering take away from here for years, it's consistently excellent and a very extensive menu.

If you are looking for true India/ Bengali cuisine. This is not the place for you. We ordered Chicken Manchurian ( this is a very popular Indo Chinese dish in India) What we got on the table was chicken tikka masala ( very sweet and creamy ) Note to the chef .. Chicken is is marinated in soya sauce, ginger, garlic paste and black pepper. Then it’s coated in corn flour, deep fried and put it aside to cool.Then you sauté it again in super hot oil … add onions, chopped ginger and green chilies .. this should not be over cooked. That’s chicken Manchurian, it’s all about simplicity and using the correct ingredients, not sure who you are trying to fool!!Also Gobi was smothered in common base they use in all their cooking. Awful ! What a shame as Bengalis are well known for their food. but this Bengali restaurant is not selling what they have in their menu.

As a family we have been used this restaurant as a takeaway and eat in, tonight we had a takeaway, some of the chicken was raw, my wife phoned up to complain, and the chap who answered the phone wouldn’t have it, he said that’s impossible! The chicken was raw. Not happy at all!!

It was ok. Not the best chicken balti but at least it wasn't greasy!

First curry out in ages and decided to go here,the food was amazing and the service was exceptional.All the staff were very friendly and very attentive and made you feel very welcome. The prices are very reasonable with the added bonus of you bringing in your own drinks so if you're on a budget you can have a nice meal out without breaking the bank.....we will definitely be back👍

Went to the restaurant hoping for it to be a decent suburban/provincial curry house, and that's what we got. Decent service, decent prices, decent flavours (in my naga lamb and the wife's chicken korma), decent decor... decent. Would rate between a 3 and a 4; have rounded up.

Wonderful service, always with a smile on their faces, the food quality was excellent, could not have asked for any more. The decor and layout was impeccable, the lights complimenting the warm and friendly atmosphere. The vibrancy of the majestic flavours brought a slight tear to my eye with how overwhelmingly scrumptious they were, and how they blessed my tastebuds like they had just been baptised in holy water (the holy water being the masala sauce). 5 stars is not enough to give this wonderful restaurant, thanks to kamali and the team!

My go to place for a decent Indian meal.Went on Tuesday for 70th birthday.Service very good.Food lovely and fresh.I note sometime there are poor reviews and the reviewer has an Asian name,is this local Indian restaurants who are trying to nobble them.Try it, you don't have to go back if you don't like it

Had another wonderful meal at the Oasis Indian restaurant, we were a group of 6 and we all loved the freshness of the food and the welcoming and professional service, the restaurant does not have an alcohol licence and as such you can bring your own for a small corkage charge which certainly helps in the wallet department. Many thanks Ripple and his team for another great evening.

The food is excellent, reasonably priced and tasty with good sized portions. You can bring your own alcohol. We have been there many times with our family and the service couldn't be better with very friendly staff and food served promptly. We visited on a Saturday evening and the the restaurant was packed and because of this was lively and rather noisy. We shall be back again!

I've been here several times over the last couple of years and also had take-aways. Always found the curries excellent, especially the hotter-style like Naga Lamb and Garlic Chilli Chicken. Mild ones that some of my friends get tend to be too sweet for me but they enjoy them. Some mention pickle in the description and these are more tangy. If you want to avoid sweet or very hot dishes just ask the waiters and they will advise or adjust the ingredients. Don't forget to take your own alcoholic drinks (small corkage charge applies).

It is quite usual for us to order a Takeaway online from this restaurant. However, last night's takeaway is still having an effect! We waited an hour for delivery; the only dish hot was the rice; all the curry dishes (although all different) looked exactly the same. The sauces were watered down, wishy-washy and the dishes had no flavour whatsoever. The chicken was tough and chewy. The poppadums had been overcooked or cooked in old oil and were disgusting. Two hours after eating a little of the food, we both had chronic stomach cramps leading to chronic diarrhea all night. This morning I have felt like I'm on a boat and have been vomiting.

Had an impromptu meal here on a Friday evening with my partner. Staff courteous. Food was good. It is a BYOB venue though so no alcohol is sold. But there is an off license next door.

Situated in a predominantly white middle class area this restaurant is shamefully serving abysmal food. Indian food does not have to be chilli laden to prove it's worth, but it does need to be selective in its use of spices and herbs. Tonight's meal had neither, just an over use of red colouring and salt. Fresh corriander, cumin, corriander powder, garam masala, the standard spice essentials were missing from the dish.The raita resembled wallpaper paste and tasted nothing like the delicately spiced yoghurt based condiment that is commonly served in indian restaurants.Had we not been passing through en route to the south coast we would have returned to the restaurant and asked for a refund.

Sunday buffet. Simple choices often topped up fresh and hot choices. Naan Bombay aloo, vegetable curry,chicken tikka,lamb dopiaza,chicken tikka masala,chicken madras,samosas,bhajis. Note they don't sell alcohol but if you want beer wine etc. You can take your own or pop to local shops.

I’ve been to this restaurant several times over the past couple of years and have never had a bad meal. Been just with my partner as well as much larger groups and enjoyed it every time. Friendly, welcoming and professional staff & excellent service. Good menu to choose from and the food is always fresh and delicious. Had a birthday celebration there some time ago and the team were happy for me to drop in a cake and balloons etc in advance and they decorated the table for us. It is an unlicensed premises so you can purchase soft drinks or take in your own beers, wine etc for a small corkage fee. Would highly recommend over other Indian restaurants in the area.

Been here a few times now, latest visit was for 6 people on 19.07.19always book ahead as its quite a small place.Food is of a very good standard.Bring your own alcohol is not a problem you get good prices from nearby shops and I think their corking fee is 50 pence.Staff are a little odd and some may feel a bit pushy,but talk to them and they are all quite friendly especially if remember you from previous visits.the specials are very nice with a good wide choice of options,if you want to customise a dish they are happy to comply..Food comes quickly and is as good as more high end local places such as Haweli.

Went last night. Had the chicken korma. After an hour of eating it I started to feel cramps in my tummy and felt hot. Went to bed! Woke up several times during the night to throw up. Morning cake still throwing up but now have diarrhoea. Today is my birthday so it's ruined my weekend

As locals to this area, we’ve tried all the Indian eateries and IO is one of the best. Consistently good pand nice varied menu. Fast service too. . We do takeaway so have not eaten in the actual restaurant.

Wow. What more can I say. Have eaten here before - but only once. Tucked away on carshalton high street by the bus stop you will find this Jem of a restaurant. No alcohol license but a quick trip to Sainsbury’s down the road to pick up some booze (with a £1.50 corkage fee) and you await the tasty delight of the food served. So tasty! I had the chicken jalfrezi which was spicy and full of flavour - a dish full of succulent chicken, peppers and onions with fiery chilli...the rest of the family happily tucking into their dishes too!

Lovely dinner, with the exception of the main waiter who is so rude - always.

I've been to the Indian Oasis loads of times. It's not an incredible meal but it is consistently good. The portions are not huge but they are a reasonable size; never enough for a doggy bag though!!! The restaurant is not licensed so you can take your own alcoholic drinks which helps to reduce the price of your night out.

4 of us visited the Indian Oasis for a meal on Saturday, and we all said that the food quality and portion sizes were very good, very tasty and probably the best Indian meal we have had for a long time.

We usually do a take-away but decided to eat in for a change. Food was served hot and really tasty, didn't have to wait too long and we were supplied with glasses and openers for the beer and cider we took along.

Our first visit to this restaurant and it is doubtful we will return. I would rank this venue it as passable. We didn't take a bottle; the Oasis only sells and serves soft drinks. The food was okay but not the best. It was served up as only slightly warm but we ate it without complaint. The service was reasonable as was the dining experience.

I regularly eat India food, the surroundings are usual with BYO alcohol. The menu has some different item always worth a bit of a trial. Never been too hot but usually tasty. I have been twice whilst working away and will be there again.

Visited here with friends as we usually do nice food nice ambience BUT customer service could be better the old guy waiter can be quite rude at times, we spent over £100 but everything was rushed he started to clear table whilst a few of of us were still eating we had to ask him to leave the bowl of curry as we were still eating it. Then when we paid we waited fir our £10 change. But he never bought it back obviously assumed it was his tip we never questioned it as we just wanted to get out of there. Shame really as it’s a nice little curry house.

A spontaneous visit to a local 'curry house' in the heart of Carshalton and most definitely off my usual beaten track!

Stopped by for a takeaway while we was in the area and nothing great to report staff very friendly and helpful.

Enjoyable curry, reasonable prices, bring your own booze makes life easy. Service wasn't the best, neither is the atmosphere. All in all worth a visit on a budget.

we just moved to Wallington three weeks ago so are trying out a lot of local restaurants. We came in here about 6:30 last Saturday when it was fairly empty but it was packed with regular customers an hour later. It is quite a tight squeeze in what is a fairly small restaurant but the food more than made up for it.

Great food here had a family get together last year and keep forgetting to do a review.Table service really good.

The food is really nice, and they had forgotten our poppadums with our order but just as we went to sit down to eat, the delivery driver returned with them without the need to call them.... great service!!

Food is average, the staff are rude they didn't even say please or thank you, They leant over me several times spilling curry over my jacket. They tried to give us our starters and main course at the same time, we weren't even offered any desert or coffee. To top that all off they tried to overcharge a few items on the bill including corkage for 6 people even though there was only 5 of us and only 3 drank their own drinks the others bought water from them not a nice experience never again.

Good tasting food just was cold when delivered would of been nice hot and not having to reheat in microwave.

I have been here twice now, once with 12 people and once with two. As soon as you come in the serving staff greet you as if you are old friends. The food is of a high quality served with excellent presentation. The lamb shank is so good. It is also handy that you can bring your own Alcohol. It is one of the best places to eat in the area.

Ignored my comments which ruined the order for me.

After reading the reviews my partner and I decided to try a walk in one evening. What appeared to be a half empty restaurant we were abruptly faced at the door by a gentleman asking if we had booked, saying no were responded to with a rather direct “no”. So we left. Taking heed of this and ignoring the rude attitude of one employee we decided to book for the week after next.

Tasted of fresh ingredients/spices with good flavours.

Food was good shame it was delivered cold.
