Food was great with lots of variety to choose from and staff provided excellent service even in a large group I highly recommend

First visit here, but certainly won't be the last. Really lovely food, nice atmosphere and staff. My only suggestion is that I ordered a 'hot' dish, which could have been a little hotter (seemed more 'medium'). I'm sure if I'd asked it wouldn't have been an issue to have made hotter, which is probably what I would do next time. But lovely flavours and reasonable portion sizes and pricing. Thanks

Lovely place to eat with good choice of food.

We tried the joint for the first time. It's not authentic Indian. The food was more sweet than spicy and the portions were not that big. The atmosphere inside is nice but the food was not that great. The worst thing was one of the server was chewing on something while serving the food. Not very professional. Not a very pleasant experience.

They've changed things a little, used to have quite loud pop music playing all the time. Last night the music didn't start until about 8pm and was at background level. It's made it quieter in there but for me it loses a little atmosphere as a result. Service was impeccable and the food as delicious as always

Blue bengal is the best seafood restaurant near Romford. The food is fresh, crispy and flavourful. I ordered the fish tikka and the prawn curry. They were both mouth-watering and spicy. The service was prompt and professional. This is the best seafood restaurant in London.

This has got to be one of the best Chicken Dhansak’s I have had in a long time. The rice was perfect and the naan bread light fluffy and fresh. I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough, I eat a lot of curries and this is one of the best ever. The staff were friendly and super efficient do yourself a favour and try it out.

Been coming here since i was 2 when it was known as the star of bengal and it has always been fantastic. Food is brilliant, staff are so friendly and a real nice atmosphere with 80's music in the background! Came on saturday evening with the family and i can honestly say i have never had a bad meal.

I have nothing but 5 stars minimum to give to this restaurant. I would give it 10 if there was the option. An absolute god send to the Carshalton area. The best Indian within the surrounding areas of Carshalton, Wallington, Sutton etc. I have lived in Carshalton for 12 years and I can honestly tell you, I have tried them all but nowhere and I mean absolutely nowhere can beat this place. I often eat in and have takeaways and they never fail or disappoint myself and my 14 year old son. Mo is just the best and is always happy to see myself and my son when we visit. I visited this evening to collect a takeaway and the place was absolutely packed with no tables spare.

Blue Bengal is our absolutely favourite restaurant in the area. Food is always served hot and flavoursome. The menu is extensive so it would take us awhile to try every single dish. We have been visiting sporadically and the quality of food and service has been very stable. Love their curry with naan bread! We like the portion. Very good value for money.

Went straight into poppadoms, chutneys and perfectly chilled larger. Main courses for 2 persons of chicken chilli masala, chicken madras, pilau rice, onion bhajee & 2 garlic naans. Everything was superbly fresh with the garlic naans, hot, thin and covered in yummy ghee. Highly recommended and ill be back for sure

The staff were really helpful and friendly, the food is very tasty and is very traditional. I think the inside needs updating but this didn't affect the meal as a whole

After a lovely Sunday afternoon watching club cricket in Banstead, we stopped here at about 8.45 pm on our way home to West Norwood and what a treat! Warm, courteous welcome. Plump, juicy prawns in a mango sauce, and tender lamb with citrus flavours in a concentrated sauce. Sag paneer is a favourite of ours - in this version, the spinach was chopped rather than mashed, a cut above the usual. Flavour counts more than volume here - good! The ambience is cosy with modern paintings and music that's quiet enough - although we'd prefer Indian to pop. We'll be back.

Ordered a take away for the first time as have heard alot about this restaurant. What a mistake omfg. Ordered a butter tikka massala got a chicken korma, garlic naan dry as a nuns fanny, chicken tikka starter dry and horrid. Even Dog turned her nose up. Phoned up ordered a replacement took over half hr only to receive it and oily and unedible. Disgusting. Never again. 28 pound what a waste. Disabled misses very disappointed too.

Nasty rude staff. Bullying clientele into making an order due to the kitchen closing. Sub standard food. Don’t bother.

Great place to eat with friends. Restaurant staff very friendly. Food piping hot. Limited menu to other local restaurants but still good selection. No rush to order. My only complaint is the paper menus that double up as place mat. I found annoying when trying to select food, whilst eating poppadoms. This would not stop me eating there. We also had a take away few weeks after our visit and that was nice too.

Had heard lots about the reputation of this place and decided to try with some work colleagues. Glad to say I wasn't disappointed. The naga chicken was lovely with lots of flavours, mushroom rice was delicious and service couldn't be faulted. Highly recommended and will be returning 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a great curry house. We got there half an hour before our booking as we were in the area and it was no problem at all for them to move some tables and seat us, despite it being busy. I always get my parter to order for us as I really like a spicy curry and don't want them to tone it down and they didn't disappoint. The meal was delicious and very good value. Thr staff were lovely too. At the end, they gave us a tub of vindaloo starter sauce to take home and whole handful of chocolates because I said I liked them. Can't fault this place!

What kind of curry house turns away custom at 21:30hrs on a Friday night - really disappointing and poor. Went to the Indian Oasis next door who were happy to serve us and was top class.

What can I say. We arrived ( 5 of us ), to be shown to our seats. Ordered our food which arrived sooner than expected. Not knowing what I had ordered except for, it Was lamb, I dug in, to find it wasn't actually my dish. They immediately offered to replace it, which, after already tasted what I thought was my dish, i politely declined. They took what I ordered away and brought a replacement dish for my partner. Yes, food for 5 of us cost £140, but it was good food. Worth the money. The only thing we thought was wrong, was that there could have been a little more meat, just 2 /3 peices. We will be returning

Had a very nice curry, Staff were really friendly and made suggestions to us rather than over order. Very busy restaurant so you need to book but highly recommend. The only problem was parking which is not the restaurants fault. There is a car park about 5 min walk away.

Best Indian cuisine me and my family have had in a long long time .Service was 10 out of 10 and the gunpowder chicken tikka was exceptional .I was bored of the go to Indian restaurant but the Blue Bengal is now top of my list .Cheers I will definitely see you soon

Really tasty food and excellent service

Husband wanted a takeaway, against my wishes. It was awful. Tikka Masala was so red and dry. Onion bhaji was definitely different. Couldn't make up our minds to whether it was dry or old. In all a very unpleasant experience. He should have listened to me.

Booking System is pointless. Leave you waiting for a table even if you booked!! waited over an hour which is pretty damn poor...thats my only gripe!! Food was very good though...

Disappointing, the food used to be better than this. The Rogan Josh tasted like someone panicked in the kitchen and the vegetable Balti was average at best. This used to be our main option for a curry in Carshalton but will now look elsewhere.

The Blue Bengal was recommended to me by a friend. I first went there a few months ago and since then I have returned every week. I always book my table in advance and I’ve never had to wait for my table to become free. There is always a friendly welcome from all the staff and a good atmosphere. The food is amazing, good sized portions, cooked to perfection and also catered to my needs and requirements. The waiters and kitchen staff are always friendly and make sure we have everything we need. The restaurant is very clean and modern with soft lighting. The owner H looks after his customers and is happy to spend time to check that everything is ok. I have lived in the area for many years and I have tried other local Indian restaurants but The Blue Bengal is definitely the best one. I would recommend this restaurant to friends, couples, families and anyone that enjoys good food. Can’t wait to go back again.

Orderd for over 7years and I won’t be ordering again. Twice now food arrived cold , nahn bread soggy , no flavour in Korma just taste like water in sugar. I’m not sure if the chef changed over the pandemic period but this place gone downhill unfortunately

We just had a take away ( Chicken vindaloo / chicken Zidzila) . We are living in Wallington ( Hillside Gardens). We've been very disappointed with the food. Especially with the vindaloo, of chicken, one big potato swimming in the sauce. £6.50 for it..... You...

Booked a table for 19:00 to 21:00 with friends and after 1 hour finishing our meal was asked to leave as people waiting for a table, we hadn’t even finished our drinks! This was so rude and embarrassing I have never been treated like this in a restaurant and definitely will not be going back

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My favourite locally, catered for my nieces christening and birthday party yesterday for about 60-70 people, great food as always and great service from H and the boys, we have used them before and will do again for outside catering, everyone commented how good the food was. Always my go to curry restaurant for both dine in and takeaways. Last month they kindly hosted my sons local stag do for 30 of us, yet another great night. Try it, you’ll like it

Second time we've used Blue Bengal for family events and will definitely will recommend and use them again for our next family event!! The food at the Blue Bengal was good, staff very attentive BUT........ I feel that due to the restaurant trying to get in 2 sittings we were very rushed. Our table for 13 was booked for 7 o'clock and by 9 we were out. Personally I expect to be able to sit after meal, not to be rushed to pay and leave. I fear that I will not be going again and would suggest that if what you are looking for is a nice leisurely meal this is not the place for you. Sorry guys.

Don't be put off by 'limited' menu, along with the 'old favourites' plenty different dishes to choose from .... started with chilli paneer followed by King prawn Maroosh .... very tasty and so much, staff so friendly ... Will be going again 👍
