The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Indian food

Walked in at 10.30pm on a Friday evening and asked for a table for 4, jabba the hut who was on duty this evening did not seem to be so accommodating and promptly told us they were shutting in 45 minutes. No offer of a table or option to order quickly just a blank look. She/it then went to liaise with a more senior member to ask if we could eat there. It still never actually conversed with us to confirm if eating in a restaurant was feasible or not! Needless to say we walked out never to return, shame as the food looked and smelt really good!

First time ordering from here. Arrived before app said so that was good. About 40 mins from ordering to door on a Saturday. Meal for one and ordered separate naan as wanted rice as part of the set meal, which for some reason they seemed to give me an extra rice. Nice to get couple of popadoms and two dips thrown in for free. Food was very good quality, particularly the tikka starter and naan bread, and all packaged securely. I will order from here again. Zumbura is an excellent fusion Indian in Clapham Old Town, close to Clapham Common. The menu is great with lots of choice and some unique dishes. The restaurant has a good set-up with a very nice bar. All this and the prices are very good also. Go visit!

We can on a Thursday night and had a meal the Food and service was brilliant, I had a the saag paneer and it was so yummy. The restaurant is clean and decorated nicely and the staff were really nice and attentive

So inconsistent with what quality you receive, and actually whether you even get what you’ve ordered and paid for. Missing items and awful quality of poppadoms (couldn’t snap them, had to tear them!!) and still waiting on the refund.

DISGUSTING!!! RICE SMELT LIKE CAT PISS AND THIEVING DRIVER !, delivery man is new but my order came to £19 and I gave him a twenty pound note before I could even say keep the change he just walked away with it i know its only a pound but thats cheeky also on another occasion aswell. Need to get new drivers Also takes longer than said to arrive. Won't be ordering again!!!!!

First time here a few weeks ago, undiscerning food, poppadoms served with no accompaniment, main dish was bland, more sauce than meat, overcooked rice. One waiter was inexperienced and clueless , other waiter experienced and pushy for tip when had not done much to deserve one. Venue was half full, not too noisy but nothing in atmosphere or decor to set it apart, felt dated and cold. It was expensive given the poor food and experience.

Our first takeaway from Mint Room but definitely not our last! The quality of the chicken was first class, the flavours were delicious and the portion sizes were perfect. We'll be back soon! Thank you👌

Such a shame that Charlie is giving up. Have enjoyed his food for 30 years in harpenden then Aston Clinton. It has always been good. I understand Charlie's brother may continue in the kitchen for a while, as a handover to the new owner. I hope the new restaurant will be supported as good chinese restaurants are far and few between.

Bustling restaurant with great service and food

This has always been a favourite so when having family from abroad and Scotland come to stay it was a no brainer to order from here. Collected the order, was a bit skeptical as for a £115 order we expected it to be packed different rather than a small box. Took it the two minute drive home and wow was that box rammed with every item. What an absolute mess. Extremely disappointing and a bit embarrassing when we have just raved how great they usually are. All squashed on top of each other to the point the dishes were bursting the dishes underneath and the packets containing the nan breads were saturated. Unfortunately we won’t be in a hurry to use them again. The bottom of the box was just a mix of all the different curry’s sloshing around. Didn’t expect a clean up before we had actually eaten.

Haworth Tandoori is always a lovely experience from the meal to the friendly reception. Excellent value. I have never been anything less than a happy customer for over 14 years. Thank you Haworth Tandoori for being great.
