The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Indian food

I was just walking through Summerton on Banbury Road and came upon Spice Lounge and decided on the spur of the moment to drop in. I had a lovely mutton biriyani with sauce and mango lassi. Thoroughly enjoyed! The mutton was very tender and plentiful. I totally recommend!

This food is the worst place I've ever been too hot to enjoy

We came here for lunch on my last day in the office and I wish we'd discovered this place sooner. Excellent food, good veggie options, pleasant waiter. Also nice 'Ginger Rogers' drink. Cleaned the plate.

We were hoping for a quiet, relaxing dinner but unfortunately, this place missed the mark in many ways. Service was inattentive and staff was not welcoming. What really ruined the evening, though, was a loud group of men who came in halfway through. The noise level shot up, and it was clear that not just us but other diners were visibly uncomfortable. Despite this, the staff did nothing to manage the situation or maintain a pleasant environment. As for the food — it was underwhelming. Lacked flavour and definitely not worth the price. Nothing memorable and not recommended. We won’t be coming back.

Ordered the mixed grill which seemed to be pre-cooked and re-heated. Most of the meats were dry but the flavours were tasty. I was a little disappointed with my meal overall. The waiter appeared to be preoccupied and disappeared halfway through ordering the food. It felt as if we were doing him a favour.

Outstanding food. Quality, flavour and portions are fantastic. I came back after a few years ordering with lesser takeaways. The Team at Eurasia have exceeded my expectations. Order with confidence.

Update from our second visit! Very disappointing meal(s), no spice and very bland. Was like eating a chicken casserole or a bowl of soup. Informed the young waitress, who then giggled and shockingly said, "Oh well!" Think going forward, we will give this establishment a miss. On second thoughts, we did venture for a 3rd visit and we are pleased to say the food was a lot better, however, the staff were the issue this visit. The welcome isn't great, the staff are not very attentive or professional. I'm sorry to say that this is definitely our last visit! Very busy on a Friday night and a little slow on attention/service. Food excellent and alcoholic drinks are very good. Overall, we were impressed with our first visit in over 5-years. However, it certainly will not be our last, and we won't wait 5 years to visit again. Well done, Saffron

Take away ordered. Probably the worst main of any Indian place in Hastings, did not seem like Indian food at all, inauthentic. The Tarka dahl was passable. I won't try it again.

Not hot enough and unfriendly driver

Been using Meghna for a while now and I only just realised I have never left them a review! Food has always been very good! Always hot and delivered within the time they state! Keep up the good work guys:)

Lovely flavours and big portions. They had forgotten one thing which after ringing them, they sent out and it was fresh with in minutes. The driver was very friendly and the restaurant were just amazing from their service to their food. I will definitely go here again!

As always, delicious food, great service from the moment they picked up the phone to the point of collection. This is the gold standard.

Customer service was very good, but the food is not fresh, salad was dry and chutneys are not freshly made. Saag lacked any real flavour, pakora was bland etc...

Random visit. Street view looked good. Inside decor ok but seating tired and plastic covered chairs delaminating. Place mat had food residue but this quickly changed. Ordered “giant king prawn” curry. (£17.95) Prawns large but not giant but enough meat etc curry sauce unfortunately very bland sauce so little authentic spice flavours. Sag Aloo again looked good but lacked taste and flavour. Popadoms and dips pilau rice ok. Cobra beer and red wine good. Overall disappointing, issues could be easily be fixed but their chef needs to taste his food and concentrate on spicing and improve flavours.
