The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Indian food

Really enjoyed my first visit to Summer House. Good sized portions considering most places give you less for the same money. I'd definitely recommend and will be going back soon.

Very buzzy street food restaurant, with rapid service to table. Not a romantic, quiet place, but perfect for when you want a light bite or something more substantial.

Shahed was a great worker!! The food was really good and I can recommend, especially the general Indian vibe was really good and I like.

OMG !!!! What an experience. This place is AMAZING. I went with my friends from work. A total of 25 of us. ALL our 25 orders came out at once. The main guy was brilliant...service with a smile, efficient and approachable too! The food was amazing and we had a great time. It all ran smoothly. What a night !!

Ordered 8 pizzas for a party and they delivered 4 pizzas and 4 paneer dishes !! Totally messed up the ordered. Rude staff. Didn’t refund or correct their mistake Basically ruined the party. Never ordering from here again

We booked the larger function room for our wedding reception - nice intimate space for a few of our really close ones to share in fellowship and a good meal and we were blown away by the service given. From booking the room weeks in advance….to paying ahead of time for all the food…from the setting up of the room….to the up to date information the team gave us over the weeks leading up was outstanding. We had people meeting from different parts of the country and they ALL said they enjoyed their food and was pleasantly surprised at the larger portions they got. Most could not finish all their food but this did not stop them making the most of it - they packed it all up and took it home courtesy of the takeaway packaging provided by the restaurant. The food came out quickly and was very fresh and full of flavour despite we were 1 hour later than expected to arrive. All the staff that took care of us were great but I have to give a special shout out to “Sunil”, “Annol” & “Kriti”. They came with the dishes for individual people with everyone’s names based on who had ordered what, which made it really easy to point them to the correct person who needed to receive the food. They were really caring and nothing was too much effort for them. Ultimately they made the whole experience the best. My wife and I even went back a few days later because we was craving some more good food 😂😁 Couldn’t recommend this place enough, it is fantastic and thank you for making our special day even more memorable and special for us with outstanding service and food.

This is my second visit in Shazan restaurant after trying several restaurants around Edinburgh,the food quality is high level compare to the others and the stuff are giving very restpectful service and care from beginning to end.I will invite all my family and friends there as the food is very tasty and all the very healthy ingredients.highly recomended.

They used cheap Iceland/tesco frozen king prawns for the king prawn biryani. It had no fragrance or taste of prawns. To me that was a big let down. You charged us £15 for king prawn biryani but you're using cheap prawn from tesco/sainsbury. That's unacceptable. Chicken madras was excellent. Definitely top 3 in south london in my opinion. Tarkha dhall was more like a dhall bhuna which was very disappointing. Fresh thin garlic tarkha dhall would have been amazing. In overall, this restaurant has serious potential. The biryani would have been extremely nice if they used the correct king prawns. I hope the owner can make the changes if so I will order again.

I love everything about this place, the food, the atmosphere and the staff are always excellent. I have been a regular for over 10 years as these guys go above and beyond every time. For my husband’s birthday they gave him a gift of a plate, which was not only very thoughtful but so sweet that they go to this level of care and consideration for their customers! I love this place!

Had the chicken curry and the meat was beautifully cooked. Partner had the chicken tikka kebab and again the meat and the flavours were delicious. Will be ordering again.

Delivery was 1 hour and 40 mins after order was placed. Really not impressed. Called the restaurant and no apology was given - blamed the driver. The driver said it was the restaurant’s fault.
