Been going to Sangri for many years and it never disappoints.

This is the best family-friendly restaurant in Croydon. The lamb biriyani, the chicken tikka masala and best of all, the lamb curry! What more could you ask for? Props to Mr Russel,Mr Sufian and the chefs. Would come back!

Worst experience, we have got food poisoned. Kindly avoid as this isn't the first time that we are disappointed with this place and we want to give another chance, but both their quality of food and service are drastically dropping!!! Food safety inspection has to be done

A few days earlier, we went for a meal, and none of the food met our expectations. The Veg biryani and salad were the worst of all. We got smelly and rotten taste of potato in veg biryani. We shared it with them, but they didn't response properly, though they didn't charge for that food at the end. Worst experience ever and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Food was not good oily and half of my curry was in the bag mix up with other curry , everything was open , absolutely disgusting and the delivery driver was in a hurry he was leaving when I got down stairs... unprofessional. and also food was tasteless disappointed

The food here is amazing. I have eaten in and had take out and the quality of the food is always excellent. The staff are attentive and accommodating if you want a small change to something on the menu. The meat is always high quality and tender. I highly recommend a visit.

Myself and partner went to sangri to order food today and when we received our order went home to enjoy our food for fathers day. Once home I opened my chicken korma only to find the big chunky pieces off chicken pink all the way through. My partner rang the restaurant to make a complaint and they said they're sorry and sent another korma which yet again it was pink. They said it was cook and yet again it wasn't and I do not eat under cooked chicken pieces . So anyone who's going to order chicken korma please check the big chicken chunks. Eating under cooked chicken pieces will make you very very ill. I highly recommend not to eat or order from sangri especially the korma. How can any chef keep saying it's cooked !!!. Got another korma and even the second chicken korma was pink. 2 photos to prove it. Please check any meat dishes you are going to eat from sangri

the portions were larger (big aluminium boxes) and tasted nice, but quite oily and didn't seem the same. Wondering if the restaurant has new management/chef?

Shocking service. Doesn’t even deserve a star. My food never turned up and their solution was to go back to the house the driver dropped the food to. Then they would resolve the matter. I want my refund

Lovely food. However, the note attached was not taken into consideration which was a first for this restaurant We requested both main dishes to be hotter with thicker sauce. (Both dishes were of standard strength and not thick sauce.)

I have enjoyed food from this restaurant before to my satisfaction but on this occasion we were unable to enjoy the food. The aloo garlic chaat was extremely salty and went straight into the bin. Chana masala and baingan masala were average. Roti were unlike roti, more like naan. Yes, I am being fair in my review today.

They’ve gone down hill and we’ve tried to support them again and again and tonight delivery was wrong and apparently this was our fault. I give up……..

My latest order wasn’t delivered at all. I called the restaurant four times. Each time I was sworn at and the phone was put down on me. I have spent a lot of money here over the last few years, this behaviour is an absolute disgrace.

After my food being out for delivery for 30 minutes i called the restaurant who were rude, they called me back and said they would cook me fresh food, 20 minutes later the food was delivered stone cold. Terrible service

Although I am always trying out different restaurants. Sangri Indian is one that I return to because their food is comforting just like this restaurant in Stepney Green which closed down. I love their vegetable side dishes as well as their rice. The lemon rice I had is fluffy and appetizing which goes well with lots of dishes and the spinach mushroom side is amazing. Also tried the butterfly king prawn which was massive as they use a whole tiger prawn.

Does not serve authentic indian food, they just put it in the name.we had bad experience

Good service and wide menu choice. Fresh popadums and not the stale ones you’d get elsewhere, with a healthy dose of onions and sauces (also a rarity these days). Warm towels to wipe hands and face after. Reasonably priced.

Order was stone cold , Sagloo was spicier than the jalfrezi not worth the £55

We've always had great meals here and often bring family too. Food was particularly delicious on our last visit with less oil but still packed with flavour. I'd particularly recommend the aloo puri.

The food was so cold, i dont understand why. the portion size was pitiful but the taste was ok. although i asked for the amount of ghee/oil/grease to be reduced where possible, this was ignored. And naming something "spicy" gives the reader an indication of chilly pepper heat of which there was none. On the whole, i would not recommend but my decision is based purely on these factors and not the general taste of the food or the terrible attitude and service of the driver

Prompt, hot and absolutely delicious. Amazing dhal, tender meat and fantastic sauces and sides. Just great.

Delivery was early. Food was good but barely warm so had to microwave it which isn’t the best experience. Had the food been warmer then would have scored higher as it was tasty. Eg Onion bajhi tasty but soggy from being microwaved.

Always a wonderful dining in experience, good to know the quality is just as high on delivery. Food came hot, well cooked and seasoned perfectly.

Don’t buy from here they can’t follow simple orders. Asked for a vegetable masala they sent chicken. And all that could do rather than send the right dish is offer a small discount on the next order.

We enjoyed a meal here four years ago, and I wrote a positive review, so we were looking forward to returning. We booked a table to be sure since it was a Saturday night however there were plenty of tables free. We were not disappointed with the meals, I ordered a Jalfrezi, always a good measure of the food standards. Good quality and flavour but a little more sauce would have been more to my taste. The side dishes, rice and naan were very good and the pint of Cobra perfect! Pleasant staff and surroundings ensured a most enjoyable evening. I look forward to returning in the future.

Quick delivery but disappointing taste with everything. Rice was too greasy, Korma had no flavour, pompadoms tasted stale, naam bread tasted dry and mango chutney had too much vinegar in it. Such a shame

We've been going to Sangri for years, but the last two visits the food really was not up to par. Lamb Karai not served in a karai and it was basically stewed lamb with oil no sauce. I am sorry to see this, because they have been on the High Street a long time and were one of the best in Croydon. No fault with the service and they credited me for the food that I didn't eat. I hope they will get a new chef as I believe the original chef passed away. When the Sangri chaps read this, they will know who I am and I hope this criticism is seen as constructive.

The Restraunt catered a buffet at an event I attended. I was so impressed with the quality of food that we ordered a take away the next week. It was top notch!

Ordered last week from this restaurant and ever since I have had severe stomach cramps and so has my partners son, it's been over one week and still not right. Conclusion is food poisoning or possible E.coli. DO NOT EAT OR ORDER FROM HERE. Food Standards Agency informed.

Have ordered from here a few times and normally has been amazing, however today the sag aloo was cold and the rice was dry as if it had been reheated. Everything else was yummy tho!

Badly packaged and arrived on a motorbike with the lids squashed and leaking everywhere. Excessive amounts of bright yellow oil leaked everywhere. Worktops stained. Not impressed.

We love Sangri, the staff are fabulous and welcome us with open arms every time the food is always sensational and the service is personable and friendly. There is so much competition locally, but the Sangri rises above them all, every time.

Food toon a while to arrive but the driver did apologise profusely. Food was a bit on the lukewarm side but was pretty delicious.

Small modern Indian restaurant in London Road near Coombe Road. Lovely decor and great service. All the classics and plenty of southern Indian meals you may never have heard of. Good fair prices for drinks as well.

Poor quality food. Ordered two curry dishes and could not taste any real difference between them, very bland. The veg in both the curry dishes were clearly frozen supermarket veg containing broccoli, baby carrots and brussel sprouts, not typical or authentic. Potatoes in another dish were microwaved and unappealing.

Missed items when asked for a new order to be delivered as it’s a meal you want to eat together I was told No as that would be a waste and was told not to call here again. Rude staff who cannot get an order correct I want a full refund for this meal.

First time ordering from here and not disappointed. Food was absolutely delicious. Great plastic free recyclable packaging, generous portions and the chicken was so tender! I have found my new fave.

Food containers were squashed & sauce spilled over the other food. Guess that’s what happens when you squash the bags into a small carrier in a bike!!
