Sorry to say my chicken madras was so salty it was inedible. Pilau rice was good, Nan was good, onion Bhaji was horrible and full of oil. Overall, very disappointing.

LOVE Chat House! It is my favourite restaurant in Croydon for eating in and takeaway. The service is excellent - the staff are so friendly. The food is amazing. I order takeaway via their website which works so well and the food is always on time (or earlier than expected). I have been a regular here for the last two years since I moved to Croydon.

Amazing food. Our go to take away. Ordering through Deliveroo app is sometimes a little buggy but they are happy to manually amend over the phone (and haven’t got it wrong to date). Brilliant restaurant.

The food from this place is awesome!!!! Every time we have ordered it’s been fantastic. The food is cooked perfectly and so flavourful!!! Some of the best Indian food we have had!

I've been a regular at Chat House, and every time I've ordered, the food arrives piping hot and wonderfully fresh. My favourite dish is their Tandoori Shashlik Chicken – the caramelized onions and green peppers break up the curry dishes very well. The Tikka Masala, with its perfect balance of cream and spices, is my second go-to; it's so good that I sometimes opt for it without any meat. The onion bhajis are also very well done here. While their vegetarian options are great for someone who's trying to eat less meat, I'd appreciate more curry-only choices. I'm not always a fan of potatoes in curry and I like to add the veg separately. Lastly, recently there's been a change in the mint yogurt sauce recipe – it's now yellow and not as moreish as it used to be, however this doesn't detract from the overall quality of the food! Thank you so much for such amazing food and a very recent price! I can't wait to eat here in person!

We didn’t book but were seated no problem. 9pm n Thursday night. Staff were friendly, attentive and great with kids. The food was exceptional. Every single dish was bursting with flavour. Delicious and plentiful. Best curry had in years!

I ordered lamb but it came with chicken. a bit disappointed with that, however, the dishes are very tasty. Decent level of Indian food. An outstanding one! Should try to dine in next time.

The food at Chat House is unbelievable!!!. My family and I have been dinning here over the year and it's still a great dining experience. We we're been there as a party 4, 5 and 6 and have never had an issue with seating. The staff and the services you get is fantastic, we always feel welcome and have a great time.

Our local curry house and never had a bad one from here, a couple of not so good ones but we’ve learned to avoid them… don’t know we’ve not had delivery before, maybe because we like to go there. Delivery was early

Good food. Only slight issue was that containers where messy due to spill of sauces.

Ok so at first I panicked lol delivery drivers have messed up before from other places so when the just eat website said "delivered, enjoy food" I called the restaurant three times worried as I hadn't received it. But that was quickly put to ease when I left it and waited like the restaurant had told me to do and baam my doorbell went. It's not easy to find my address as I live ontop of a shop BUT they found me. I'm so happy to say my vindaloo was AMAZING omgggg yessss spicy is what I like and this was not only spicy but soooo tasty I probably could have called in for a phoul ...all my food arrived hot the tikka biryani was amazing. I had my old favourite shop that shut down, but I'm happy to now say I've found my new favorite place to order from. I've ordered so many Indian takeaways and this was just amazing. Also a BIG thank you to whoever I spoke to over the phone as not only did I call once or twice but three times and every time he was patient helpful and understanding xx

The food here has got more and more expensive, but also reduced in size to the bare minimum. The quality of the food has also faltered; the biriyani rice texture and smell hinted at this not being freshly cooked. Some chicken pieces were tough with a weird texture (not defrosted properly?). Overall, very disappointing for a meal that cost £55 for two. We will not order again.

Omg … this place is awful! Waited over 3 hours for my order from this place with excuse after excuse of why it couldn’t get to me…just to be told at the end they were starting to cook it now! Unfortunately it’s now 10 o’clock and my kids fell asleep before their dinner got to them…thank you so much for your marvellous service (Not!) and note: if you can’t cope with your orders, just say ‘No’ instead of giving people the run around! Definitely be ordering from someone more reliable in future!

We've ordered a few times from Chat House and the food is always full of flavour and good quality, and delivered on time or even early (bonus!). I especially appreciate the info provided in the menu about dairy etc., helpful for my dietary requirements.

It's a shame. Regular customer but two of the dishes were not good. King prawn puree was super spicy and the biryani side was not changed as requested. Normally really good. Shame.

Last minute decision to go for Indian food after a long day of DIY in our daughter's new house. Not familiar with the are so took a chance on the Chathouse. Arrived at 8pm on a Friday evening and walked in to a large restaurant with only one table occupied which was a bit of a concern. However we were given a warm welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The restaurant itself is well appointed, bright and clean. I would not hesitate to go there again when we are back in Croydon.

Wonderful dining experience. We we're a party of five. No issues with seating. Service was great and the food was amazing. A very relaxed atmosphere the staff were super friendly and always on hand. Cash and Card is accepted, Toilets very clean. Overall will be a regularly spot can't fault it.

Absolutely love Chat House, me and my family have been dinning here for the past 10years!! We have never been disappointed, and actually having tired other restaurants & takeaways, I can proudly say nothing beats Chat House’s currys! I had the Chicken Tikka Mosalam, it’s Chat House patent version of Butter Chicken but my word, so much more flavour and creaminess. Butter chicken tastes dull. We Also shared Haryali Lamb which is their spinach & meat curry, absolutely divine and meat is cooked to perfection. You can even ask for a different spice levels, depending on your pallet. We share 2 freshly cooked garlic naan’s and one boiled rice. Perfect amount for the two of us.

Love the food but certain waiters can be very rude. They also put a service charge on the bill, personally I like to decide what tip I leave. Will stick to takeaway so I limit the time I spend in there.

Food was fantastic, restaurant was spotless, but I would say the staff weren't that friendly and seemed not to want to engage in conversation, and seemed a bit moody too be honest, it wasn't busy so it wasn't that they were rushed, that won't put me off coming for the food again.. I would suggest the staff try to smile and be a bit more cheerful even pretend your happy for the custom😁
