Tried for the first time with an order for 7 people and all really enjoyed the food.

Returned after a long time to try again. New many but still nothing more than average on my visit here. Food nothing special, pretty bland for Indian, service ok. Cash only, which could do with being advertised in the window.

New the area, so trying out the local takeaways. These guys are charging the same as the other indian in Ivybridge, but the quailty is no where near the same. Had a King Prawn Buna, but very bland. No seasoning, so they never tasted it before they gave it to me. King Prawns had no flavour, so proably frozen. And then a Chicken Pasanda, which again was very bland. Over all, it was well below average. I have since been back and had one okay meal, but tonight was poor. Main chicken seems dry and chewy and mushrooms in the rice were burnt. I won't return again.

had less chicken in this curry than I've had before when ordered from here and didn't taste all that great either. My p.naan was still uncooked in parts so I ended up leaving some of it. It's put me off ordering again from here to be honest.

Love the food here but only downfall for the past few times Iv eaten here is the popadoms have been stale other than that beautiful meal

The only thing good from here is the Chicken Jalfrezi. Everything mild is bright red and sweet, without any differentiation from each other. Since when did a Chicken Tikka Masala taste like coconut?

Ordered from hear new to area trying them.all out ....flavour are there really nice onion bargi magic only i think its expensive only 8 small thin pieces of meat ...kids portion loads of sauce .in one meal shame that was disappointing but the flavour was great no pompoms normaly over a sertain amount u get free poppadoms.no onions and mint souse mango chutney mint souce ...condiments to go with bargi nan breads where small like a saucer size not big enough to share .

Absolutely unbeatable food and service here. A little lost to the previous review, the girl behind the till was clearly late teens / not a child and very polite and kind :) The whole experience was smooth and I honestly couldn’t fault them! Happily sat tucking in to lovely hot delicious food :) Thankyou very much

Was cold and the rice was full of grease food was thrown away very disappointed should be given a full refund tikka masala was dry as really. won’t be pig but no going there again that’s for sure

Ordered two meals and extras totalling over £36 in person at 6pm on Tuesday night. Premises very quiet, no queue. The child serving us did not know her way around the electronic ordering system, but got there eventually. I helped her. We were told our simple order would take 40 minutes. Returned after 40 minutes, told order not ready. Waited another 15 minutes to then be told our order, with my name on it, had been given to someone else who had left with it a short time earlier. Apparently he did'nt look like me or have the same name. Foreign looking male "cook" retreated back out of sight and left the female child to deal with me. Money refunded and spent on excellent food with quick, efficient and pleasant service nearby. Meghna is fine if you require shelter from the rain and to catch up on old copies of "Hello" magazine, but worthless for food.

The Chicken Tikka Masala was just 6 cubes of dry chewy chicken, the rest being this bright red sauce with the consistency of a raspberry smoothie. The special fried rice was tasteless. Threw it away. Just wasted £20, and ended up eating some toast.

Always get a great meal at a competitive price. The guys know us as regulars and know our order off by heart as we’re very much creatures of habit lol. Lovely food and service and delivery guy is very friendly and courteous. This is our weekly Friday night treat and they never disappoint. Yes deliveries can sometimes be longer than anticipated but only when they’re very busy and any mistakes have always been quickly and courteously sorted which you can’t ask much more of really. Well it speaks for itself as we’ve been regular customers for many many years and not planning on changing that any time soon! Thanks guys and keep up the hard work.

Delicious food as always, however on this occasion it arrived just under 3 HOURS after ordering it and selecting “delivery ASAP”. The man who answered the phone when we were chasing the order was very unapologetic and refused to refund any of the money/offer anything by way of apology. Really disappointed as this is the Indian we have used in Ivybridge for many years - perhaps a change moving forward…

For the last 6yrs, they have provided the most awesome Indian take-out. Had the pleasure of experiencing their quality before moving to Ivybridge. Having lived in Leicester and London, I have experienced a lot of Indian takeout. These guys have exceeded the quality of everyone else.

Good Morning - we placed an order on Saturday 23rd of September at 19.18 - I think initially we were told it would be about an hour. I got a text at 20.43 apologising that the order was delayed and I think we eventually got the order between 21.15-21.30 - I do understand that it is busy on a Saturday night, but did not expect to be waiting 2 hours. We had just driven back from Wales to Ivybridge and so didn’t really want to go out again which is why we chose to have it delivered and to place an order through Just Eat. The food was lovely when it did eventually arrive. I a send evidence of the timings of the order and the text received, etc. if necessary. Thank you Dinah Wakeley

All the food lacked salt. Chickpea bhuna was a little on the dry side. The sag paneer was nice but needs less cream. Overall pretty good though so would order again.

Food was delivered in good time but was cold. The meat in mixed kebab was over cooked dry and rubbery. The veg curry very watery and there was very little chicken in the biryani. Not impressed considering price.

Such a shame, we have had food from here before and enjoyed everything but sadly tonight the food was tepid and the sauces were very watery with very little chicken. Hopefully next time we try we get a better experience.

Very friendly service. Delicious and colourful chicken tikka masala. The only thing missing from our meal was more chicken. Thoroughly enjoyed the dishes. Wish we had ordered more.

My order arrived on time and was still at an edible temperature. The curries where a sea of sauce, with not many pieces of chicken, which sort of bobbed around in a curry sauce ocean.

Garlic naan was thin, chewy and didn't taste of garlic. The chicken in the chicken tika didn't taste like chicken and the texture was horrible. For just under £10, there was hardly any chicken. Very disappointed.

Food was banging! Bit disappointed on the portion size paid £10 for korma and only got half a tub though! They are usually pretty good

Haven’t ordered here for a while, so thought we’d give it a go again. Unfortunately portion sizes were somewhat lacking tonight - as others have said half filled containers (chef special which attracts higher price) & small naan bread. I appreciate budgets are squeezed tight right now & can handle not having extra papadams etc. but charge a little extra and give us what we paid for!!

Lamb jalfrezi portion was tiny. Barely filled half the tray. Nan breads were small too in comparison to other Indian restaurants. Arrived late too. Wont use again as not worth the money.

Won a Facebook competition for a meal for two. The gentleman on the phone who took my order was very friendly. Food was prompt and delicious. The chilli chicken masala was very hot- just how I like it!!

Tikka masala salty, not enjoyable at all, left most of it. Dansak and saag aloo very onion heavy. Won't be ordering again from here.

The food was 2 hours late! Ordered at 6.55, arrived at 9pm.

4th time and clearly top quality and consistent

Food was delivered on time, however our starter was missing. Phoned them straight away to be told they would send the driver back out with it. One hour later, still no starter! If it turns up, it will be pudding.

When the food arrived it was cold, I had to reheat in the microwave. I ordered poppadums and they wasn’t the standard poppadums. The chicken was dry.

Ceylon was great, I asked for a little less spicy, the one I got was very mild but it was still very tasty. All other food was perfect!

Ordered last night for collection, used the website, which provided 10% off, email said that order would be 60 minutes, received a phone call saying it could be done sooner, which is excellent customer service in my opinion! Food was piping hot, extremely tasty too, we ordered mixed kebab, chicken chat, onion bajis, chicken tikka masala, chicken moglai, 2 naans, poppadoms and rice and came to under £40. Will definitely be ordering again😍

I've been using the Meghna Takeaway since it' opened 30 + years ago. The quality and flavour of the food has always been brilliant and generous portion sizes. The staff are always helpful and friendly and prices are competitive. There is an extensive choice of dishes including starters etc. Vegetarians are also catered for. Highly recommended for their service and delicious food.

The food was amazing and what also really helped was the driver calling to say he’d left it on the door step for me. He read my note about knocking lightly as I have a sleeping baby. I really appreciated the effort and care that went into my delivery. Thank you so much. Highly recommend food was delicious!

Me and my niece had gone up to get our usual curry’s that we normally had on Sunday 8th. Now I’m terminally I’ll having brain cancer so my memory isn’t great and I can never remember what the curry is I order now I knew it has king prawns in and has a red sauce, after a little while trying to explain to the man behind the counter he said he reckons it is probably king prawn Massala which again as I can’t remember and normally go with what they think it is and I’ve enjoyed it every time I’ve had it. Well let’s put it this way it wasn’t my usual one I normally enjoy, the tails were still on which I wasn’t warned about the heat was fine as I don’t like my curry too hot as it takes away the flavour of the curry I find. As soon as I finished I felt sick and my stomach was doing somersaults I hate complaining but in my head I feel that if I wasn’t to say anything someone else might go through the same and I’m still feeling yucky and have no energy at all. I hope this helps someone who’s wanting to eat from here.I won’t be recommending them as I live above the old smithy and always send customers up there for a great curry

Food very poor, arrived cold, sag aloo tasted of absolutely nothing. Would not order again and will be back to ordering from Nandon instead 100% which is cheaper aswell !

I Have ordered a few times but this was disappointing. Only seems worth it for large orders (groups). We just Paid £27 for a couple ordered 2 Curries (no rice) and naan, paid for delivery and was late. Don’t get any extras like poppadom inc for this price.

Always 10/10 I’ve know the guys at Meghan for years now, they are so accommodating and the food is just the best, they even make me special extra hot curries to see me through the end of my pregnancies. Always so friendly and happy to have a chat. Wouldn’t get my chicken tikka masala from anywhere else, delivery is always prompt and food is always hot on arrival. Can’t thank them enough for their top food and top service x

Failed to deliver order. Not answering phone. Drove to them to find out where order was & told out for delivery. 2 hours later - NOTHING. Disgraceful!!

We hadn't had a curry take away for quite some time but I was lucky to win a free meal for 2 in a weekly competition with Meghna. My wife went in and ordered 2 curry dishes. I had a medium chicken sag and my wife wanted a bombay My meal was superb and the bombay was good but not as good as my sag. My wife thought the bombay had potatoes and an egg with it but the dish we had did not. Still the chicken was cooked lovely and we enjoyed it with a nan, rice and a couple glasses of red!

won't be ordering again as the delivery time over doubled, within minutes of ordering I had a text from just eat advising my food was slightly delayed! nearly a 2 hour wait!! for a takeaway that upon ordering I was told via just eat would be 50-55 minutes - nothing like that, a complete disappointment!!!

Food was absolutely delicious. We had a Bhuna Balti, Chicken tikka masala and lamb dupiaza. All meat was moist and the flavours were incredible. Delivery driver was really friendly too :-)

Food was late, and what has turned up is absolutely shocking for the price I paid, if I'd have eaten in, I would have walked out! Might be busy but no excuse for the shambles you delivered over an hour late from when I spoke on the phone. When I could get through that is.

Been here a few times over the past months, delivery can be long so would recommend collection. Overall the food is edible but on multiple occasions the curries have been very watery. The value is reasonable but some dishes are definitely for a treat once in a while.

Maybe it's a different chef or different day! The onion bhaji were the best.... . I understand that they don't do ready meals, bit you do expect your favourite dishes to taste sort if the same which is why order them. However the tarka dal has gradually become a soup rather than a vegetable dish and the onion bhaji are soggy. Such a shame. It used to be consistent but now it's a gamble

We were isolated due to returning from a visit to the Indian Ocean Island of Mauritius and we have had to stay at home until we have a negative Covid19 result. So let's try an English Indian Curry for a change as Meghna offer a home delivery service, and this service is very efficient. Not so the curries we ordered though! We ordered two items, a Prawn Jalfrezi and a Chicken Phall. The chicken meat in the Phall was reasonable but the sauce was uninspiring to the point of me ditching most of it, just not tasty at all. My wifes Jalfrezi was in her words "The nastiest curry she has ever eaten" I sampled it and concurred. No discernable peppers and a tiny amount of tomatoes very little of anything else other than a very different sauce which was alien to me taste wise. So a lesson we'll learned.

Food delivered to wrong address so contacted shop as I didn't want cold food to turn up. They said they was cooking it from fresh but that it would be another half hour. So food eventually arrived hot and was tasty but they had got the order mixed up and poppadoms arrived with wrong sauces.

Good food, one of the best indians I've had in Devon so far. Due to a road closure the food was delayed in getting to us, but they called us to inform us of the delay ahead of time and I thought the call was handled with excellent customer service. Really appreciated the call (as we'd just moved into our first home), as most places wouldn't do that. Will definitely be ordering again!

I can't begin to describe how awful this takeaway was. Totally inedible . It looked like lots of random curries mixed together with a big slick of oil. Ordered whilst on holiday so perhaps an off night for them given other reviews.

We won the free meal for two and as always it was outstanding! We order from here quite regularly and they always go above and beyond and the food is always exceptional! The staff are always so friendly as well. Couldn't recommend Meghna more.

First time and won't be my last we had 2 chicken kormas with pila rice and garlic nans and it was lovely lots of chicken and really flavourful usually go to another one in Ivybridge but will be going here from now on totally recommend

Food was great, staying In Iveybridge on holiday and relied on the reviews. Although it was delivered late after pre booking it was very nice and the delivery lad was spot on.
