The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Indian food

My local with everything you'd expect from an Indian restaurant and plenty of vegetarian options. They have been there 45 years, so must be doing something right 🙂 5*

Nice surroundings & lovely clean restaurant, the food was excellent. The staff were helpful & friendly, very attentive throughout the meal filling drinks up without being prompted. A very nice experience, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

Very average Didn't taste like Indian food- v bland

Quiz night, lovely place, the quiz was cracking and very well put together, the curry was really tasty and the company was great.

First visit to Ashoka 13 of us, wow great service, nothing was too much trouble, friendly staff, the food was exceptional, good sized portions and very good value for money, we will definitely be visiting again, thanks for having us.

Takeaway night. Not tried akhtars for ages but our food was excellent. Piping hot plenty of it and high quality. Would strongly recommend and will be ordering again soon.

This is not the first time I have visited Bombay Story but I haven't got around to writing a review yet. It is quite simply the most delicious Indian cuisine I have ever tasted anywhere in the United Kingdom. Imaginative flavours and spices, unusual combinations, beautiful presentation, absolutely delicious. The wines are excellent and the management and waiters, outstanding.

Went first time for a family weekend dining based on reviews provided but it was utter disappointment. No proper cutlery served we had to ask twice, drinking glasses felt not properly dishwashed - stain and marks on the glass , soft drinks ordered without ice was completely warm no even refrigerated. Meat platter Starters ordered were just lightly lukewarm not even piping hot and was very dry served without chutney which is not a common gesture. I was hugely disappointed for my spending on not to the mark expectations...

Our go to Indian in Twickenham. Shuresh (hope I spelt this correctly) and team are great, well-managed and excellent service. Big fans of the Chicken Shaslick, Dal Makhani & Sag Paneer. Sensibly priced wine as well. Great place.

Este es el mejor lugar de curry en Castle Bromwich que me dejaron establecer habitación antes de mi reserva de 8 pm para mis hijas 13th nada era demasiado para ellos. Fueron educados como de costumbre y el lugar siempre está limpio y lleno. Trajimos nuestras propias bebidas para adultos ambiente encantador y le dieron a mi hija helado de cumpleaños para llevar con ella absolutamente fantástico para 2 adultos y 5 niños menores de 100 libras no puede ir mal

Been many times and always great food and service. What has happened, service poor, we had to ask to be served drinks, food bland and small portion's, salad consisted of cabbage one piece of tomato and one piece of cucumber. Most of the mains do not come with rice or chips now they are separate. When we came in we were greeted by cash only no card as internet down no phone lines, but the phone rang a few times, no little tipple after your meal to.

One of the worst takeaways to date. Absolutely gutted. After reading the reviews we thought there would be no issues. Here visiting for a few days and last min delivery order. The nan breads were horrendous…congealed mess stuffed into small foil bags. I’ve never seen such weight of a nan bread in one small bag. Such a shame we didn’t even want to eat them. The tandoori mixed grill was something from my local fish and chip shop not an Indian restaurant. Just be careful for takeaway as I’m sure eating in wouldn’t be as bad…but I’m just giving a heads up as 90% of my order is in the bin. Gutted

Had a fantastic meal at Nishads last night. There were 6 off us and every meal was served promptly and was delicious. Very friendly staff that looked after us and nothing was too much bother. Well done yet again to all at Nishads.
