Our go to Indian in Twickenham. Shuresh (hope I spelt this correctly) and team are great, well-managed and excellent service. Big fans of the Chicken Shaslick, Dal Makhani & Sag Paneer. Sensibly priced wine as well. Great place.

Excellent service and great food. Catered for a family party of 15. Perfect times when ordering and food arrival with complimentary drink for the birthday party.

Our first time, and will 100% return. Fantastic meal and service was excellent. an amazing variety of choices on the menu, with plenty of vegerarian options. There is also an extensive drinks menu with cocktails available - something not often seen at Indian restaurants. Very spacious interior and tables are well placed apart so conversation over dinner if easy. Throughly recommend a visit. Can't describe as a hidden gem as it is very noticeable on the York St and has been there for many years.

We had a really fantastic meal with friends this evening. The food is great and really flavourful and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely go back.

First time to Panas. Great and delicious food. Recommend the Lamb briyani and the Haryanai lamb curry. Reasonably priced. Excellent service and nice ambience. Highly recommended.

Although I would rate the food and service 5*, we were disappointed with the menu choice. It was very limited and bore no resemblance to the menu on their website. Only one vegetarian main course. They did say they could do the side dishes as mains but they weren't very inspiring as main dishes. Fortunately my wife will eat prawns otherwise we would have left without eating.

Another great experience at this restaurant. The service was amazing, food delicious and great value. They provide lots of little extras such as free nibbles, drink after meal etc and these make it special. It’s also lovely to be in a restaurant that is so nicely decorated and with space so you don’t feel too close to other tables.

Visited this lovely restaurant for the first time for a family birthday meal, and we were all very impressed. The decor, ambiance, friendliness of staff, and the wonderful food was outstanding. Went for dinner with mates and honestly found the food amazing. The food was clean, tasty and not greasy as other similar restaurants. Friendly staff and service......What an amazing meal, definitely recommend it and we'll be returning!! Highly recommend Panas

We booked for the “Elvis” evening. Arrived early to a very friendly greeting. The menu had a large choice and all the dishes we selected were great. Large portions, well presented and delicious. We were unable to eat it all but had the benefit of “doggy bags”. The entertainment was brilliant. Would recommend. We will be back

Normal don't visit on Rugby days as it very busy and set menu. Managed to get 6 of us in as didn't pre book. We had a fabulous time and the food was amazing. From the starters to the main course. All very tasty. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Poppadoms lacking lime pickle. The rogan Josh has almost as much oil as Saudi Arabia. Korma bang average at best. Everest beer is nice and novel as you don’t see it everywhere. Cocktails massively expensive. Garlic naan might as well have been a naan - 0 flavour - 0 garlic.

Me and my friend shared food here and not only was the visual display of food very appealing, but it tasted fantastic. All of the staff have been so friendly tonight. We highly recommend.

Panas is a (slightly hidden) gem on York Street in Twickenham. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are charming and very helpful. We had a great experience and highly recommend this restaurant.

We loved this place. Super friendly and attentive service, without being overbearing. Offered us a free canope, after dinner liqueurs and 10% off for a Xmas treat. Really nice little touches. Tried this place on a whim a little while ago and have been back several times since for one perfectly good reason - the food is delicious and very good value and the standard of service is good. It's Nepali, not Indian, so although there is curry it's a bit different and there are things like fish curry and duck which isn't normally to be found in an Indian or Bangladeshi place and is more typical of China (Nepal and China share a border, if you count Tibet as China). The duck I particularly recommend, although there's nothing that isn't pretty damn good.

We love Panas. We eat out at Panas or have deliveries often. The food and the service whether in the restaurant or home delivery is always great. Fresh, Delicious. Interesting Flavours that are a little different to the regular Indian. We love it more than the traditional Indian. I particularly love the HOT Lamb Curry. The portions are generous. Very Affordable. The people that run it are always lovely and happy to serve. Best food in Twickenham.

Had not been to Panas for a whle but dropped in prior to the recent England Wales game at Twickenham. It was good to see the place full of happy rugby fans. Sensibly an abbreviated menu was on offer but the food and the smiling service was as good as ever. I have visited Panas 4 or 5 times now and have never been disappointed.A word to the wise... The Nepalese lager is preferable to the generic Cobra that is available.

Booked here after the Rugby, good idea it was busy. Greeted by popadoms nice idea, although you will pay for them, we didn’t ask they just came. My wife had a lamb dish, which she liked I had goat very nice. We shared a rice. Staff were brilliant. There is a service charge.

My family and I visited this restaurant and we can safely say we will never be returning. We waited 3 hours for our food (after patiently asking a few times prior if someone could serve us).. and together with being forced to stand up in the middle of our main meal so they can get a chair from us (with no apology or acknowledgement).. to then being accused of orchestrating the poor service (unsure how a customer is capable of having control over the waiters inability to serve customers)??? It became a huge shock when there was no compensation offered of any sort when we finally got the bill (after asking for it multiple times).. instead the owner kindly threatened to call the police (not sure what the crime would have been..? I don’t think asking for a restaurant to acknowledge poor service is a crime.)..? Sadly the owner will run this restaurant into the ground if he doesn’t have the ability to receive feedback and listen to his customers. Aggressive awful man.

Great food , Great service by always smiling and friendly staffs.Allthe foods we ordered were perfect, the curry we ordered Panas special karahi and Hariyali lamb were best.We will be visiting this restaurant frequently.If you want to try indian and Nepali cuisines we reccommend this is the best restaurant in Twickenham.

Amazing food, really good service, reasonable prices and a beautiful restaurant. They have the usual Indian dishes but also a range of Nepalese specialities. They are happy to adapt dishes and to give advice. This is such a good restaurant that is 2 minutes walk from the main restaurant road in Twickenham that people miss it.

Worth a visit. I booked in advance, they were very helpful. Al the food was tasty, comfy seats in there too.

I’m sure this restaurant is lovely on non-match days judging by the reviews, but sadly wasn’t worth the money when the rugby was on. They had a reduced menu of about 5 or 6 mains but still couldn’t cope with the volumes and we waited 1hr30 for 5 curries. The staff were running round like headless chickens but were still letting more and more people in. Definitely worth a short walk or bus down to The Green or Teddington in future to get some decent food for the price after a game.

We have been coming since it opened and I’m a big fan of the Haryali Lamb. We’re never disappointed by the flavours and the staff are lovely.

After spending some time in Nepal, I was very excited to find this Nepalese restaurant on my doorstep. The staff are lovely and very accommodating, always treating you to an after dinner liquor. The momos are fantastic, Gurkha beer just like it taste me in Nepal. I have to admit I do always order the same dish as I love it so much (king prawn Khukuri) and my partner always orders the the lamb version! Couple of Tandoori Roti and we are happy campers!

I normally like the food here which tends to excuse the horrendously slow & generally poor service. What was unforgivable however was a more than two hour wait, having been requested to be patient as they had a number of deliveries before ours, eventually to be told they’d forgotten our order. A new low for Panas!

ordered from this place online at 7:20. Delivery was supposed to be 8:20. It is now 10pm and the food still hasn’t arrived. We’ve called over 7 times (good luck if trying as they don’t even pick up most the time) and we’re lied to every time saying the order was on the way. Complete liars. Asked for a refund and they said I’d get a discount on my next meal - as if I’d EVER try their restaurant again!

Went on a Friday night, thought we’d give the place a try as offering 20% off through the Richmond card (although the manager seemed reluctant to offer it which was not a good start considering it appears on the Richmond card website clearly including Fridays and for the date we were there). Only about 1/3 of tables occupied at 7:30 pm. Had to wait 45 minutes for the starter, which only arrived by prompting the manager to check on it. By 9:20 pm we still hadn’t received our main courses so cancelled the order. All around us were tables of disgruntled customers and we saw at least one party leave before being fed. It was the waiter’s first day but we don’t blame him for the delay as there clearly appeared to be a problem with the kitchen. The manager had the cheek to be annoyed at my partner when a party who arrived at 9 asked us how long we’d been waiting and he told them 2 hours. (They’d noticed that there were a number of tables still waiting to be served so obviously decided to cut their losses).

Very tasty food . The best Indian meal I have eaten for a long time. Attentive staff and service. We celebrated my son’s birthday - and as we left , staff gave him a bottle of beer as a gift!What a kind gesture. I will definitely book there again

There’s stiff competition for curry in Twickenham and Panas proved to be one of the better ones. Really delicious food - had a king prawn biryani, chicken dhansak, onion bhajis and chicken tikka - pretty standard dishes so easy to judge and it was all lovely, very well presented and the staff were spot on. Couldn’t eat it all so took half of it home and it was even better for the lunch the next day. Looking forward to going back soon and trying some of their more unusual dishes.

We ate here when visiting Twickenham for the weekend, never having had Nepalese before. The dumplings were apparently lovely (I had bhajis, also very nice). My son declared the Chicken Nepal the nicest thing he'd ever tasted. We had a few issues with our order: the restaurant was quiet but service was very slow and we'd asked for starters to be brought alongside mains so that our younger son, who wasn't having a starter, didn't have to sit and watch us eat. The starters came a very long time before the mains - and we got the wrong sort of naan bread but decided to just leave it. The staff were really pleasant and attentive. We were surprised by how quiet it was but they seem to do excellent trade through Deliveroo!

We had a really great meal at Panas. Lovely curry and would recommend to anyone! Service from the staff also great.

What an amazing place to eat. The food is gorgeous. We had a good selection of dishes between us and all tasted great. Portions are very big and sadly had to leave some. Staff are very atentative. Prices are good. Would definitely return.

Me and my fiancé visited Panas last night. We really enjoyed the food and the service from the staff was great. We tried a selection of starters, sides and a main and couldn’t fault any of it. We will definitely be back

The restaurant is large and has a very nice interior. The staff were so welcoming and very professional. A real effort was made. There were some complementary starter snacks which were a nice touch. I found the rest of the food to be underwhelming. The main dish was just like a very average medium curry, despite it being a vindaloo. The flavour wasn't great at all. Maybe it was a bad night as there are many other good reviews here.

We love Panas and come here often but the service is hit and miss. Last visit we were still waiting for our starters an hour after ordering, and despite chasing twice still had no idea whether we were ever going to get anything to eat. Eventually we have up and left - having explained why we were leaving the staff were not even particularly apologetic. A large table near us were also complaining of a long wait for their food, so maybe it was just a bad night. That said, it's a smart place and not cheap, so there really excuse. Ended up getting fish and chips on the way home, don't think I've ever enjoyed a meal more..!

After reading the review on trip advisor thought we had to change our normal curry house for a night and now it looks like for ever ! This was an amazing experience a class above all the others in the area simply gorgeous. From the starters to the coffee and mints everything was superb . Best tasting curry dishes we have had for years

This is relatively new and clearly is getting a good reputation. Most of the food was excellent however the chef needs to reduce the salt content. The Monkfish curry was very salty

I looked forward to a dining experience at Panas, especially on reading so many good reviews, but ended up somewhat disappointed. Went on a Saturday lunchtime and the place was empty which was no problem, the waiter was extremely attentive and friendly and the place seemed clean and pleasant.

We had the fish and lamb curries. Completely delicious and such good value. Will come back again and again ....

We visited this restaurant after day one of the Rugby World 7s, and as it was a rugby day they had a limited menu, but as we got there early enough and, at that time, the restaurant was not as busy, they allowed us to choose from the main menu and we were not disappointed.

We chose this restaurant for a family meet-up and were glad we did. From start to finish the service was excellent, unobtrusive but really friendly. The restaurant had a lovely, informal atmosphere.The food was first rate - plenty of Nepalese specialities with lots of old favourite curries too, all exceptionally well-flavoured. We live a long way from Twickenham, but will definitely be back.

We’ve lived in the Richmond area for 5 years and have never found an Indian restaurant locally that we really like. Last night that changed. We visited Panas Nepalese based on previous reviews and we weren’t disappointed. Although not officially Indian food, they have Indian staples on the menu. Three of us decided to try Nepalese dishes and one of our party went with Indian. We all loved our dishes. The flavours were fresh and vibrant. Not too spicy, just delicious... and they were very accommodating in making dishes more spicy and more mild based on our tastes. The service was outstanding and nice decor. This is definitely our new “go to.” Looking forward to our next visit.

We went here today for a late lunch for Mother's Day. From the start to the end, the service was exceptional. The food was divine. I'd recommend the duck dish. I can't wait to go back.

A lovely evening meal and friendly service! The food was quite slow coming but worth the wait and they gave us complimentary poppadoms which were nice and crisp with tasty condiments. I had delicious chilli garlic mushrooms to start which were spicy and king prawn khukuri for my main which was very tasty. The house wine was nice and good value. I will definitely be going back.

This time a little planning and lunch before the game. Passed this place which had space. Pleasant surroundings. A short (but that's no bad thing) lunch menu, from which i had tasty and fresh mixed starters and kukuri kamb, didn't eat all the chillis but it was pretty tasty. Washed down with a nice Gerwurtztraminer as a break from beer. Very good.

I have visited this restaurant several times now and have not been disappointed, I was using another local Indian restaurant but the service became so poor I decided to try somewhere new and this is quickly becoming my favourite Nepalese/Indian to frequent, the service is excellent, very attentive, friendly and professional.

Food was terrific, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. We had the special karahi which was delicious. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. We will be back 😉

My partner and I went for a meal in a twickenham to realise the place we wanted to go had shut down. After a quick research we saw this place had good reviews so we thought we would try it and we were SO PLEASED we did. I don’t normally write reviews but it has to be said, this is by quite far the best curry I’ve had - and I have eaten a lot! Highly recommend. Food was so fresh you didn’t feel the usual sluggish feeling after eating a curry. It is the first Indian I have been to that has used fresh spinach in the dishes. The decor was lovely and customer service spot on. Really a must!! Can’t wait to go back! 5 star easily *****

I've been intrigued by this restaurant space for some time so we decided to give it a whirl.

Visited at beginning of year, firstly was very cold in there and waitress told us the heating is temperamental. No music on and we could hear shouting in the kitchen so asked waitress if she could put some music on as we could hear her shouting in the kitchen but she said oh I have to use my phone for music. No samosas available and when the main course came was very bland tasting and not up to our expectations considering the reviews we had read. I have already given my feedback at the time of eating there.

Visited with my family and was a pleasant experience. Food was hot and had a lot of flavour. Staff were attentive and really looked after us all night, though they looked slightly rushed at points as the restaurant started to get quite busy. The dumplings were incredible and the starters were perfectly cooked. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Visited this restaurant last night and loved it. Firstly, the service was amazing, any thing we asked for was accommodated, which must have been difficult as we were a fussy group.

Great restaurant, distinguished by both its Nepalese food and wonderful hospitality. Four of us started with delicious Momo Nepalese dumplings, samosas and bhajis, followed Harayali Lamb and Khukuri Chicken. Best meal in ages.

I first visited this restaurant on Saturday 8th December and was pleasantly surprised I had the monk fish curry which was lovely and my husband had mixed Korai we both really enjoyed it and returned on Sunday with friends it was equally as nice the staff are especially nice and friendly my friends loved it too will certainly be going back

It is convenient for me to visit this restaurant at lunch time as I am in the area. However, despite assurances that it would be open at lunch time, I had 2 abortive visits as they were closed! I therefore ordered an evening take away via Deliveroo. It was supposed to be medium spiced but turned out to be very spicy indeed and my wife couldn't eat it. This was not a good start.

Although restaurant looks very bright, glassware and cutlery looks very elegant. Nice food and wine menu too, after that everything is just very BAD, Just a ordinary curry house with very grumpy staffs. Seriously food is nothing special :( very disappointing!!!!!

We dined at Panas last night after walking past it a number of times, we won't be doing that again !! The food is outstanding, a mixture of Indian and Nepalese with some variations, good portions, enough spice to be tasty and friendly service. A great addition to Twickenham and as good an asian meal as we have had for a long time.
