Had a fantastic meal at Nishads last night. There were 6 off us and every meal was served promptly and was delicious. Very friendly staff that looked after us and nothing was too much bother. Well done yet again to all at Nishads.

My first visit but definitely not the last! What a jewel! Hidden down a side street we were lucky to be able to fit in on a busy Saturday (two people). The staff were courteous and attentive without bringing a nuisance. The food was delicious and plentiful. Now our new favourite restaurant in Stafford ❤️

A classic in Stafford! The tastiest of dishes and the most corteous of staff! When back in Stafford (we live in Germany) we always have to go. So much choice and great naans! Never dissapointing!

Visited for a curry with friends. Good menu options. The restaurant is unlicensed. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and efficient yet relaxed. Will definitely return.

The best Indian food I've ever had. The chicken is cooked to prefection amd the service is 5 star. Will definitely be returning we've now found our regular Indian restaurant! Cannot recommend it enough 😊

Had a takeaway on Saturday night, collected as in town. I went for a tandoori mixed grill, this comes with a portion of vegetable curry and a nan bread. The grill was very tasty and generously portioned. The vegetable curry was one of the best I've had, nice flavour and not swimming in oil. The nan was ok, a plain one that I should perhaps have paid a bit more to upgrade to a keema? All in all a very good take away, planning to go back and sit in.

Absolutely outstanding food, quality, quantity, and taste. We have had approximately 15-20 meals from here and every single time the food is unbelievably good. Every dish we have had [take away] has been outstanding. The delivery time has always been fast and the delivery drivers have been so very friendly and cheerful. There is absolutely no way they can improve on the outstanding quality of the food and the service !

Hadn’t been to Nishads for a while so was not sure what to expect. It was a Saturday evening and we were lucky to get a table at short notice and the place was full. In spite of that the reception was very friendly and the service remarkably speedy for both the starter papadums and pickles and then the main courses. I had the murghi masala - really good. Definitely recommend a visit.

I ordered a lamb jalfrezi and it came with about 4 onions chopped couldn’t find the lamb for all the onions absolutely terrible by the time i had taken out all the onions I was left with nearly nothing never again.

A friend and I have been visiting several Stafford curry-houses. For comparison, I've always ordered the same thing. Here, the service was faultless but I found the food very bland.

Love eating in the restaurant but not possible at the moment so we went for a takeaway. It was absolutely fabulous, we got just what we asked for bang on time and cooked to perfection as usual. Neither main dish was on the menu but as usual, Nishads rose to the challenge. Perfect !

Order from here on a weekly basis. The food is always gorgeous, tasty and excellent portions. Tried most Indian takeaways and this is up there with the best of them.

Take away ordered and delivered not good. No flavour just slop. Cold. What can I say we waited over an hour for this totally disappointed. Will not be using you again . Sorry.

We have been coming to nishads for the last 20 years and never have we had a bad meal.. The staff are friendly and more than happy to offer advice on menu choice. Bring your own booze too... Woukdnt go anywhere else for a curry.. Simply the best ❤️❤️

My family and friends have been going here or ordering takeaway from here for years. Its hands-down the best curry in Stafford and the staff are always happy to help you choose a dish you would like.

Ate here many times over the years and usually it's been ok but not brilliant . Recently we visited after a break of 12 months or so and things seemed to be going downhill . It was mid evening and only two other tables were taken . I had chicken dish with extra veg which was ok if not exceptional . My wife had her usual chicken tikka masala which was well below standard . It came in a bright red sauce which was very sweet quite unlike any other masala she has ever eaten and she has eaten many over the years . We told the staff of this disappointment and though they listened sympathetically they seemed perplexed that it was considered sweet . The total cost was little more than £20 for the two of us but we didn't go to save money and in hindsight I suspect their strategy is to attract customers with low prices . Nishads needs to up their game and probably their prices if they are to survive in this competitive market . It was empty when we left and this was before 9pm !

World class poppadoms and dips. Service was good. But the meal. For me the best curry I've had in Stafford, and this is coming from someone who has visited all the curry houses in Stafford. The flavour of my dish was delightful, combined with the best naan bread I've had the pleasure of eating. Just when you think it cant get any better, the bill came our way and we were greeted with value for money like I've never seen. Took our friday night from a 8/10 to 10/10. Couldn't find a fault.

This was our first visit here and we liked everything about this restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Took their time to explain the menu to my husband and answer his questions. The food came out piping hot. My naan was exceptional. Despite the restaurant being full on a Friday night the service was professional and our meals arrived without a delay.

Fik to retter kylling med ris og naan til. Smagte fint uden at være i top. Lidt for meget udkogt. Stedet serverer ikke alkoholiske eller øl. Havde åbent efter kl 9 søndag, hvilket vi havde brug for.

Ordered a 2 tikka pasandas + rice meal was luke warm watery sauce I mean literally water all over my plate chicken didn't taste fresh warmed up rock hard only 1 type of dip with popodoms. Really disappointing meal won't be using again.

I came here with friends for and evening of food and a catch-up, to leave with a sour taste in my mouth. After seeing the advertisement of a starter, main and rice/naan for £9.95 me and my friends decided this was the place we were going to spend our evening. On entering the establishment it wasn’t very full, in hindsight I should have seen this as a warning sign. After ordering according to the advertisement on the side of the building we ate our food. Me and another member of our party had prawns to start and fully understood that we had to pay more (as this was shown on the side of the advertisement). The food was standard takeaway food - nothing especially outstanding, but nothing bad either. When it came to the bill it was itemised according to what we had had. My friend asked our waiter if this included the discount as advertised, his response was ‘you didn’t ask for that’. NOTHING on the advertisement said that you had to specify this!! Even after saying this to the waiter - he said that this was up to the management. We were appalled - why specify a deal if your not willing to give it to your customers. I have personally worked in hospitality for over 5 years and would never leave a guest unhappy with their experience. Your staff need training and your advertisement needs addressing - someone could take your to court for this!!

Got to be the top Indian restaurant in Staffordshire. The food is fantastic, the service impeccable, decor very very good, staff just the best. See you again next week guys

My husband and I have used nishads for years we eat either eat in or take away, the food is always tasty and of good quality (we’ve tried most things on the menu) the staff are always pleasant and helpful and will always tweak thing to your liking for example I like jalfrezi medium hot and my husband always requests his madras hot, we’ve used other Indian restaurants but always find ourselves back here, keep up the good work nishads. Wentfor a takeaway here as our normal takeaway choice seems to have lost its way a bit. Not as convenient (parking can be an issue) but we have used Nishads before (both as a takeaway and full restaurant) weren't disappointed the service was good, food arrived on time, staff are friendly and the food itself was delicious

Anden gang jeg har besøgt nishad, første gang var bedst. Fik denne gang buriani og to combination med kylling. Smagte ikke af nok og det var for udkogt i en lidt ubestemmelig fed sovs. Gennemsnitlig indisk i området hvor der er flere gode indiske. Høflig men lidt ligeglad betjening.

Called in for a takeaway en route between Yorkshire and Somerset. Really worth it, just a swing by off the M6 and bloody marvelous to eat when when we arrived tired. Rich juicy lamb dishes. They are good at recommending dishes if you're not sure what to order, and you can have a little walk round this beautiful park nearby while it cooks. Will do this again.

Can't fault the food at all, Madras perfect amount of heat and far more flavoursome than I've had in the majority of other restaurants.

Fantastic dishes where its not just pure spice. Full flavours of meat or fish can always be tasted against the herbs and spice. If you want it hot they can supply stunning and still flavoursome dishes with that smack of heat.

Having tried the restaurant thought we would have a take away delivered within an hour food tasted super and had various extras thrown in wouldn't try any others

It's a pretty basic restaurant, but I think this is the best Indian food in Stafford. Always friendly and efficient service, very flavourful curries, and some great house specialities - may I recommend Barry & Phil's special!Good option for take away too, very quick and accurate.

Ordered from Nishads over 150 times never had a problem, called to say they didn't put my curry in and I get called a liar and hung up on! Asked for money back for the whole meal as no point eating without the main dish!! Refused and still get treated like I'm the one who's caused the problem. Never ordering again.

As a long standing and loyal customer all I can say is the service and food gets better!Visited recently with a party of 30 for a retirement celebration and with help from Jay (and other staff) we came to the decision that a set menu would be the best way to go.Mixed starter for everyone, three different curries, Lamb Bhuna,Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi served with Biryani style rice and Pilau rice along with a Peshwari and Garlic Nan Bread to every table. Three vegetarians were also catered for separately with their own set menu, which looked superb.All the above done at a set price of £15 per person.All food was served quickly and as soon as dishes were cleared replacements were soon placed on the table. I think this occasion is the first ever have been to where everyone loved the food and there was not a single negative comment.Thank You Nishads, a night you and all your staff should be proud of!

17 years of eating here. I can honestly say this is the best Indian in Staffordshire. The staff are very friendly, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Bring your own drinks as it's not licensed. Pictures below let's you see how open and honest the restaurant is. Kitchen team/chefs run by "J" know how to cook seriosly good food. They cook it how you want it, mix it how you want it and even help you decide what dish will suit your pallet. 11 out of 10. Every visit is Superb.

I have visited this restaurant regularly for many years. Called in to the restaurant to order a take away for collection. I was advised they were busy and to return to collect my order 40 minutes later. This was not a problem at all and approximately 35 minutes later I returned to collect my order. However, when we arrived home we were very disappointed with the temperature of the meal which was Luke warm, yet the chicken was overlooked and extremely tough to say the least and to compound our dissatisfaction the sauce was void of any flavour and utterly tasteless. Utterly disappointed both portions were left half eaten and disposed of.

I have been in stafford more than a year, had been to Nishads 4 times..Every time observed nice hospitality, Great Food, and excellent Service.. Service, hygiene and hospitality are the basic for any restaurants..And I guess Nishad is doing really great..I had been to several restaurants in stafford, would rate Nishad's top in my list..Give a try you won't be disappointed..

Excellent food and excellent service. These guys are consistently good. There were 18 of us and I never heard any complaints from any of them, which is unusual for our lot ;o)For a cosy evening for two or a group get-together it's the ideal midweek venue.Thanks to all the staff for a super evening.

Had my annual Christmas curry with friends here and it was superb. I'm not an Indian cuisine 'know it all'...I just like what I like. The menu was easy to understand and gave variety without being overwhelming. The food and service were amazing and the price reasonable...couldn't ask for more. I particularly like that you take your own drinks with you which keeps the costs down and means you get to drink what you want. Excellent worth every penny.

We had not been Nishads for quite a while however having visited this week when returning from Birmingham Christmas market what have we been missing We booked a table prior to arriving which was good because the place was full We were shown to our table I just forgot that they do not serve alcohol but you can take your own never mind I will remember for next time We order food and it was superb really tasty mine was very chilli spicy as I like The naan breads were sublime really well made so lovely Meal was filling we had a great time definitely won't wait so long before returning

We love this place - When we eat in the food is always lovely & the waiters are so friendly, although we have been going for years so they know our faces, in fact they even recognize my husbands voice on the phone when we have a takeaway. Highly recommend :-)

We ordered a takeaway for home delivery. Order was taken and delivery was at the required time. All the food was delicious and the side orders nicely presented. The food was plentiful and hot. Very nice thank you.

Two of us have just been for a meal at Nishads.We had a warm welcome and were shown to an immaculately laid table.The waiters gave us menus, glasses for our drinks, and a jug of fresh chilled water.When asked what was in a particular dish, the waiter explained what ingredients were in it, whether it was dry or in a sauce, and how hot it was. I was told i could have it a little hotter if i wanted, i did, and thats exactly how it came.During the meal the waiters and the owner made sure everything was to our satisfaction. We asked about the origin of the particular dish and were given a fantastic history lesson.It really was an excellent evening out.

Takeaway was frozen and reheated food naan breads burnt and tasteless (keema) overpticed and 20 mins late...if you want poor cold burnt overpticed food..this is the place for you....#disaster

Really feel this place needs more recognition, the food is always amazing, and service, well nothing is too much trouble, most Indian restaurants the food can change weekly, one minute a dish really hot, the following week mild, but here you always no what your getting.Would recommend to anyone

I have specific dietary requirements for a celiac but after being a big curry lover and visiting all curry restaurants in Stafford I have to say Nishads is by far away the best there is. Highly recommended to any who has similar stomach issues as I do. The staff can't do enough for you, never had a bad curry from here. Guys fantastic standards again.

Yep...creature of stafford who tries all the local curry houses and nishads is fast becoming my fave...small comfortable stylish place with friendly staff and a bring your own alcohol policy. Highlight is the green rice with chilli spinach garlic and coriander...beautiful. ..above average food at good prices and 100m from home...happy customer!

Was looking for an Indian Restaurant and was impressed by the Trip Advisor reviews, so booked a table. We were really delighted with the food. Starters, two baltis and two naan breads, took our own wine but has a couple of soft drinks. I was expecting a £40+ bill. Shocked that it was only £27. The phone literally didn't stop ringing with orders for deliveries, takeaways and bookings. They need a call centre to deal with the demand !!!!

Visited NISHADS restaurant with a group of friends. Had a really good and enjoyable time. Food was really fresh, tasty and full of flavour. If you are a seafood lover, then they also do very nice sea bass, salmon dishes. Also highly recommend the Boro Chingry Bhuna dish for the prawn lovers. Staff were very attentive and really helpful.Overall a very enjoyable experience and also very good value for money.

This is my favourite Indian in Stafford but have never reviewed it. Restaurant fairly quite for a Saturday night but we had a booked a table just in case.Have to say probably one of the best curries we have had. Chose 2 starters, 2 mains, we both had rice and naan breads. All under £27. Lovely food and service.
