Monday night curry night ! Zak is super friendly and adapts food to suit your tastes.

Food was very good- me and my family would definitely recommend! The meat in the curry was cooked perfectly and the curry that I ordered was excellent.

Biryani is very tasty. Excellent customer service and very quick!

Ordered a takeaway, it was delivered by a lovely man, very quickly and the food was absolutely delicious, thank you xxx Ordered mixed kebab starter, chicken madras, saag paneer, pilau rice with a garlic & coriander naan, very tasty!

Delivered only 1 curry chips and naaan when we had ordered 3 meals and 3 rice as well! Very disappointing!!!!

Never normally leave review but poor response has made me. Order a week or so ago and food was loverly and fresh. Tonight ordered, and the masala was like water and had a really sour taste. Literally un-edable. Phoned and let them know and response before putting phone down is next time we will give for free. Sorry but sending what you have out, wasn't good enougth and fresh should have been sent. It won't be free next time because I won't order again and un shamefully now leave you a poor review. Simple lack of effort to put right. No one wanted free food. Pay good money, simply expect some effort.

I dislike giving a stinging review but this was dire. All 4 of us sad we only ate it because we're hungry, no pleasure from it. Only nice part was the fresh naan. Rest warmed up muck. No depth of flavour, certainly the mains not fresh.

Had an excellent meal last night at the Ashoka. From the starters to the mains, everything was spot on. Staff are so friendly. Raj makes the the best Irish Coffee ever - so good we had two!!

WOW! First time trying this place me and the Mrs gone out for a meal together. This is a place you should not miss absolutely puts the bigger name company’s to shame. All staff friendly and foods absolutely delicious

We had a delivery from Ashoka via Rossendale Eats. The food was delivered within the reasonable time promised and was lovely and hot ready to be tucked into. The portions while not massive were enough for one person to consume comfortably without wanting more and leaving no waste, which from the businesses side of things where wastage is concerned is very efficient. Their naan breads could be bigger if I am really looking for something to pick up on, but they’re probably perfect for most folk. The delivery driver was also the owner I believe and he was very polite, bowing as we took the bag off him. I would recommend Ashoka if you’re a local looking for Indian cuisine either to sit in or have delivered. Very happy.

Great little restaurant, the fish tikka is a favourite, pity there's hardly anyone dining, come on Whitworth and the surrounding area if you don't use it you will lose it's

I have tried many indian take aways in the area and this the best without doubt. We have ordered Korma and Mardras Chicken , saag peneer and dhal - delicious. Full of flavour and not to greasy. Very nice and friendly people. Highly recomended :)

Just moved into the area and ordered from Uber eats. Great fast and friendly service, the meat was succulent and the curry tasty, I personally would have preferred a touch more seasoning/spices. But very enjoyable nonetheless, looking forward to dining in the restaurant next time.

Excellent lamb bhuna the lamb was tender, tasty and I was left wanting more. Definitely going back.

Ashoka has long been a favourite of ours. The food is exceptional and the staff are fantastic and friendly. Never had a bad experience and look forward to going whenever we can.. highly recommended

I had a Tandoori Chicken on the bone and I have to admit it was moist and full of flavour. The best succulent, moist, and flavoursome Chicken I have had in a very long time. A very positive experience and will call again in the future.

Went to Ashoka for a takeaway, collection. Great service, delicious food. Staff friendly also. Pint whilst we waited for our food to be ready.

The food is really good, I normally ask for a recommendation and they always surprise me with something delicious that I never tried before, the prices are good and the staff is very very nice. 100% recommended, but remember, ask for a recommendation 👌🏼

We visited Ashoka today, having been before on a number of occasions. We had particularly good service from Raj and the food was excellent quality.

Attended on a Sunday evening around 7pm there was a few couples/groups in . There was a select what you like menu or a specials ..for £12.95 each (£10.95 during week) each person could have poppadoms with chutney tray, starter , main , rice , with bread or chips ..the food was delivered quickly. The food was really tastey and my partner ( who's EXTREMELY fussy ) said the prawns were the best he had had . Service was lovely and staff friendly . Would definitely go Again..worth the trip

Ordered a take away on 23rd September. It was delivered very swiftly and as always the food was delicious! This has become a regular since moving into the area recently. Definitely recommend 👍

Had a great takeaway meal from here on Saturday night, arrived very fast and was red hot, we really enjoyed the food and the delivery driver was very polite.

Absolutely appalling. The starter was just a mush of food when it was supposed to be a mixed starter for two. Just over run with onions and looked like slop. The main meal was just as bad if not worse, the naan bread was completely burnt black so totally inedible. The mushroom rice was dry and tasteless and the curry was plain with no taste and is the most disgusting curry meal I have ever had. Never use again and I would encourage others not to even try the food as you too will be disappointed and hungry afterwards since you cannot eat any of it.

We have been ordering takeout during lockdown and the food and service is always good quality! We visited Ashoka for the first time since lockdown yesterday and it was great! The food was excellent and the service was brilliant! The atmosphere is lovely and it’s a great place to go out as a family! 😊

We have visited this restaurant a number of times and always been impressed with the service and quality of food. I moved away from my usual Masala and went for a vegetarian Tandori - excellent. I recommend this restaurant.

Excellent service, friendly and helpful from taking my phone order to collecting my food. Food was plentiful, good portions and well cooked. Very tasty. Prices good too. Will definitely use in the future.

I have never been disappointed in an order from Ashoka, whether I order takeaway or eat in the restaurant. Every meal I have had from them is amazing, the service is phenomenal, and I recommend it to everybody. If I could rate higher than 5 I would.

This was out first visit to Whitworth's friendly Indian( Bangladeshi?) restaurant. A warm welcome, very reasonable prices, plenty of choices on the menu, friendly staff.My wife and I left feeling full. That said, the waiter came to our table after the starters and helpfully asked if we'd like a break before the main course. We were grateful for not being rushed.I think we shall be back to this friendly place.

Ordered a take out from here for first time (usually use a different local Indian Restaurant) as I wanted to compare. The 'Taste of Goa' sounded interesting and as a Curry buff had had a few Goan curries previously. It was slightly more expensive than the regular meals on offer which made it more appealing - I was expecting something special! When I dipped into it, I was so ever disappointed. It was basically a tomato base with a pervading taste of coriander. Not what one would expect from the description or from previous experience of 'Goan'. Would have suited a pasta dish better!I would like to add that the Lamb Jalfrezi I also ordered was really nice and lived up to its expectations.I'd like to e-mail proprietor direct rather than post publicly but there are no details on website hence Tripadvisor post.Hope I receive a response.

Second time we've Visited Ashoka and it was just as good. The menu is varied and each dish tastes distinct. We Particularly enjoyed the naga chicken and okra bhaji. If you're in Rochdale do visit!

We didn’t book but we were seated immediately upon walking in. Menu gave plenty of choice without being intimidating. Food was piping hot and very tasty meanwhile staff were attentive without being overbearing. It was a lovely peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, just what we needed after a busy few days. We’ll certainly be back again, it was straightforward and hit all the right spots. Thanks very much for a lovely evening.

Had a very nice meal tonight, and I am a bit fussy with curries as I usually feel dissapointed with the outcome. Not tonight though. 4 of us had a meal and everyone agreed it was of good quality. Well done Raj and his team. I like it a bit spicy and enjoyed my naga naga chicken. In fact my plate was left clean which is very unusual for me, but it proves how good it was. Will definitely be back.

Been going to Ashoka years, tried the odd other place locally and have always been disappointed when measured against Ashoka. Staff couldn't be any more helpful and friendly, foods always good.

Once again Raj & Zak served us up a fantastic vegetarian meal. The food here at the ashoka is fabulous. Great taste and very satisfying. Goes down as my favorite Curry House. No request to small.

Went to the venue last night (myself, wife and brother in law and wife). The food was fantastic and portion sizes are generous. Each course was served in one go so no waiting. Staff are very friendly too! Will certainly be visiting again!
