The Swan Indian Dining in Rossendale

Rahim was a delight, he was very attentive without intruding on our meal. The food was wonderful. Shumim was also great. They both deserve a pay rise and a free curry! Best dining experience in the land!

Absolute amazing food. We are a family of Vegetarian and the food was fantastic. Son and Daughter in laws eat meat and they loved their meals also. 10/10 is the perfect rating.

Had a birthday party meal in here and I/we we're very impressed with the attention we received from the staff. The fantastic food we received and the atmosphere all put together resulted in a great meal out and a place we'll be visiting again.

Called in on a Saturday evening without booking. Although they were very busy they managed to squeeze us in. As it quietened down they offered to move us to a better table numerous times but we were happy where we were. The food and the service were fantastic.

This place is a real find! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The menu was nicely varied with a good selection of interesting special dishes. There meals we had were all very good. I had the garlic chili masala which I loved. The tarka daal side dish was particularly good. Definitely recommended!

Meal for 14 people, including children. Every meal was excellent. Service was quick, friendly & attentive but not pushy. Price including (plenty of...) drinks was £25/head. Great value. Real nice atmosphere and clean restaurant. Never had a bad meal here (or takeaway). Highly recommended. Thanks to Shah & the team>

Drive all way from Accrington to this place Food is good venue is clean prices are good. I am very fussy about curries being from Manchester (rawtenstall,accrington,burnley, seem to have no clue as ive tried 90 % of them) but this place is very good Well done guys keep it up !

Swan had a lovley night last night for my birthday nice service and food

Delicious as always, maybe a little on the pricier side but the food is very tasty and portions are more than adequate. Very friendly staff and service is top notch.

Great meal again never disappoints

Always a good curry, service is polite and fast. Considering it's Bacup and the curries average anywhere from £10 to £13 I think a small portion of rice could be included, but that's really my only complaint. Easily the best restaurant in Bacup.

An amazing curry. It tasted so fresh. Some curry places serve very greasy curries that sit on your stomach for far too long. These wasnt the case here. .Our curries were very flavoursome. The meat tasted like good quality and cobra on tap is always welcome. Glad to see a business making sonething good out of The Swan too. I highly recommend and cant wait to return

Now my “go to” dish when going to an Indian restaurant I have not been to before is a lamb bhuna and, believe me, I have eaten these all over the country. The best lamb bhuna I have eaten is from Dishoom, Covent Garden……until today. The Swan served tonight THE best lamb bhuna I have ever eaten, without doubt! To add to this the service, atmosphere and staff were all A1. We literally found The Swan by pure chance as we were driving back home…..so glad we did. Many thanks to all for a great meal and we will see you again soon 👍

Just got back from a fabulous meal here at the Swan. What can I say. The place was packed so I was worried that they could cope but no problem. Gorgeous food, all served hot and timed perfectly. Attentive staff, esp Rahim with his cheeky personality. Rounded off with gaelic coffees. This was our first visit but won’t be our last. Can thoroughly recommend.

Delicious food, friendly welcoming staff, reasonably priced. One of the few restaurants I recommend to friends. Try the chicken tikka delight, it's fantastic!

First visit, definitely not the last, as a member of the group whom isn't a fan of Indian food, I can't actually knock the food I ordered, the other members of the party really enjoyed their food.. The restaurant was clean, toilets was accessible & clean, The staff was extremely friendly & accommodating, with a good sense of humour, I shall definitely return, unfortunately I didn't get photos of the perfectly cooked/ presented food.. 5*.

Group xmas dinner on a friday night. No preorder so orders took on night but this did not delay service which was good. Staff helpful and friendly, you can have a chat and a laugh. Food was tasty so all in all a good night. Also had couple of takeaways from here in past and they were tasty too. Good choice across menu. Parking on side road.

Went to a surprise birthday party 12 people and when my food arrived it was cold,the waiter said he would replace it,on return the meal was the same food plus a bit of rice,told him it wasn't good he just srugged his shoulders,on paying my part of the bill for my wife and I £50 2 curry's 1 glass of wine and a coke, again I told the manager who didn't want to know!! First and last visit

Meal for 2, we both tried a different dish each than we normally have and they were both amazing. Cannot fault anything about the night.

I’ve been here quite a few times, the foods great. Most of the staff are very friendly but we have felt rushed on occasions, prices are good. Better than the restaurants in rawtenstall.

Personally I would not recommend this restaurant, we waited upmost of 30 minutes before our order was taken. When our food finally arrived it was below average standard, served with very little professionalism. I regret making this statement however I feel it is of need for other future guests.

Been here a couple of times. First time was when they first opened, they was a long wait for the food but was worth it. Came again a few weeks ago and the food was 💯 fresh and hot and the staff were lovely and friendly. Best curry I’ve had in a long time.

Tried this for the first time after hearing good things, we wont be back. We felt rushed all the way through we were still eating our popadoms when they brought the starters out which was way to quick! They got my starters wrong. Then when my husband was eating his main dish came over and said have you finished?! They definitely need to read the room more. Dishes weren't great. We'll stick to our normal Indian next time!

i really used to like the food from here ,the last 2 takeaways have been average ,first one i had Lamb Karahi,last night i had Chicken Tikka Mumbai Mackani that had 2 chillies symbol , expecting bags of flavour cumin garam masala ect, it really was boring perhaps they have changed the chef ,its a shame because the staff are great and i like to support local restaurants .

The best Indian around, excellent food, very attentive staff, reasonably priced, good atmosphere.

The best saag paneer I have ever tasted!!! Some great dishes on the menu, also had naga naga which was extremely tasty. The breads were first class too, definitely one to try if your up this neck of the woods!

Excellent service, generous portions, good food quality but not exceptional. Staff very accommodating and good menu but overall experience was good rather than great. Could well return but not in a hurry to do so - lacks the star quality on all levels but still excellent value for money and a good meal out

Visiting Bacup for the theatre, this restaurant was recommended to us by a local. Although it was getting busy, around 5pm Friday, we were found a table. The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic, attentive staff, great menu, reasonable prices and the food was delicious! Would highly recommend.

Went with 2 friends tonight 17 th Feb first time we have been were going prior to this but with covid etc didnt get there fab food fairly priced lovely decor clean snd tidy polite attentive staff not overbearing we all paid extra as it was well worth it will be going again soon

We’ve recently moved to Bacup and thought we’d try the swan this evening. It was so good I had to come home and write a review! The food was absolutely delicious - really authentic and tasty. Service was absolutely spot on & we will most definitely regulars now! Best Indian we’ve had in a very long time and over the moon you’re only down the road. 10/10
