Kismat in Rossendale

Ordered many times from Kismat and the past few times havnt been the best. We ordered butter chicken as we have had many times before but sadly this was awful tonight and we won’t be using Kismat again. Such a Shame

Not sure if had a different or new chef tonight but didn't enjoy it. Order from here att time and usually love it. Not so much tonight though. Curry no flavour and was very tomato based for a saag Some of the chicken had a horrible taste

1hour 45min for delivery on a sunday night. Food nice enough but the korma was a little strange nit what i'm used to. Obviously has mango chutney in amd overwhelmed the taste amd was far to sweet.

The pakoras are awful, the piece of chicken is no larger than a finger nail, 90% batter but price has increased, my curry had a bone in it. Not the same level I have come to expect from Kismat, not sure I will come back.

Very good food excellent taste and delivery was pretty quick my only negative is the portion was pretty small compared to others

Fabulous food from this place. We never had a putt meal or service from here. Delicious every time & although we usually collect, delivery was earlier than anticipated which was great as we were starving! Thank you Kismat 👍

I didn't get the egg in the Biryani

sent a mixed curry when ordered chicken tikka jelfrazi .. also the heat wad more like a super hot vindaloo. inedible

Was a lovely curry but to much onions and peppers not enough meat veg curry needed more veg in it not even a potatoes come in guys you can do better I would of cried if I was vegetarian need more in a dish than tomatoes and sweet corn 😊

The best curry in Rossendale. Full of flavour, good quantity, consistently good time after time. It tastes like there’s actual effort gone into your meal, restaurant quality at delivery prices. Excellent delivery service, standard 1 hour delivery time but has always arrived early, fresh and piping hot. We wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Thank you, you’ve restored my faith in Indian takeaways.

Not sure where the good reviews are coming from? but the curries are awful and way too thick Has this recently been taken over as there are things they used to do but no longer do like chicken sashlick Kismats version comes in sauce lol suppose there a first and last time for everything but the curries omg they are no good.

The food was lovely like always, but was supposed to arrive between 8-8:20pm & didn’t arrive till 8:45pm - rang at 8:25pm & was told had already set off & would be with us within 5 mins. It was delivered 15mins later. When arrived was not very warm & had to blast in the microwave. Disappointed as this is the first time ever that our order arrived so late.

Rang the take away and got told to wait a minute, the guy puts the phone on the side and leaves me there for 6 minutes! I rang back to see where my order was and was told it was just leaving! Honestly think it’s shocking. No discounts nothing just a simple sorry. Sadly will not be going back

Everything was perfect apart from the lamb it was very tough to chew so I was unable to eat it but other than that perfect food as always

We were staying in the area for a short break and had a takeway from you. It was amazing - beautifully cooked and so much taste, especially the king prawn korma and coconut rice. It was the best indian food we have ever eaten by far. Thank you also for your very friendly service. Wished we lived nearer to visit again.

I have had food from here 4 the past 3 days; all I can say about kismat is KISMAT R the CHIEFS of Indian cuisine, I get its a totally different culture but its appropriate for this review, best Indian food ever.

When I have ordered in the past, the food has been good, this last order has been extremely poor. We ordered 2 versions of a masala and a Korma, they were all watery, with no flavour.

Kismat used to be my favorite but maybe they have changed chef as it’s just not the same as it used to be . Nothing wrong with it . But it’s just not the same for some reason 👍

Amazing food and service. This is the Indian to go too. I can't eat meat and rice together and here does my favourite madras sauce on its own so I can eat it with rice. Everytime I have spoken with someone on the phone as I mainly order online and called up today just to check what time it would be delivered as doesn't specify a time online and opened at 4.45 at 5.15 he apologised but said it was on the way he was such a lovely person to talk too and as he said 5 minutes or so later it arrived hot and fresh. I would 100% recommend here

Long wait didn’t enjoy it got boiled rice instead of pilau rice and overall just wasn’t pleasant meal disappointed to say the least was one of the best around here, slipping standards

Well what can I say. I ordered my food at 4:45 for a collection of 5:30 I arrived 5:32 and within 2 minutes I was out the door. All very nice in the shop smiles all around I was greeted on entry and leaving. The food was exceptional I’m usually quite fussy about Indian food as I only ever usually eat from a local Indian near my parents house because my standards just don’t usually cut it anywhere else. But on this occasion I guess I’ve just found my 2nd Indian outlet and with it being close to my work it’s very handy for meals when I finish. I ordered chicken tikka wrap which was outstanding. I also ordered Bombay potatoes omg delicious and house special fried rice very tasty. Thank you for the excellent food. Keep up the good work guys 👍

Usually always order our curries from here, and they're usually always bang on! We haven't had a takeaway curry for a good few months, so I'm not sure if there have been a change in ownership/chefs etc? But, last night the food wasn't good at all I'm afraid! :-( we ordered 2 curries, a rice, chips and 2 chapattis and it was almost £40. The chips were so stale I chipped a tooth!! They were like rock. The lamb was inedible, it tasted fine but it was again like eating rock with the odd bit of fat thrown in. We asked for extra chilli and garlic in one of our dishes as well as it being a 'balti' (we ordered the same curry, one with extra chilli and garlic and balti style) and they tasted the EXACT same, in fact there wasn't any chilli or garlic in either as we certainly couldn't taste or see it, they charged almost £5.00 for this too. The rice was fine (boiled rice) and the sauce tasted standard, but overall the main part was inedible.. the meat! Unfortunately won't be returning as it's an expensive waste of food

Chicken tasted a little cheap and bitty. Lamb is spot on as always. Garlic Naan was a little overdone and tough in some bits. Still a decent meal and would come again.

Been using Kismat for years, the quality of the food is top notch, always has been. Recently ordered the mixed biryani with madras sauce and it was amazing. The sauce was delicious and the lamb was extremely tender. Generous portion too. As a curry fanatic like myself this is easily the very best takeaway in Rossendale. Keep doing what your doing Kismat because you do it extremely well. 5 stars all round 👌

I don't like to leave bad reviews, in fact it's my first. Last night I ordered chicken tikka achari. It was meant to have peppers but what I found were 3 chunks of very hard greenish things. Unfortunately I binned them before I took a photo of them.
