Indi-go Rasoi OSM in Tower Hamlets

I couldn’t find their outlet near Liverpool street station on the map as it is quite new and therefore, I will add my review here instead. I’d say that I wouldn’t wanna return. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere and ambience is great but, what’s the primary requirement of a good restaurant? Good food, right? Well, I had one of the worst food I have ever had in my life , and that too for nearly £17 pounds for just a masala dosa and a portion of medhu vada (the savoury Indian doughnut)! I got the food, tasted it, and gave it back immediately. Definitely overpriced for food that tastes so unauthentic. The food looks good enough to fool someone who hasn’t tried it before but if you are looking for authentic taste, I’d rather go somewhere else for sure. Note that this review is only about their outlet near Liverpool street station. I haven’t been to any of their other outlets and I am unaware of the quality of food served there.

Tenía el rollo de pollo kati que es aproximadamente del tamaño de un cigarro grande, está lleno de cebollas y pimientos salteados y solo tiene un susurro de pollo. Esto costó £ 9. 95 y era bastante basura. Very average Indian food. Not so much taste. Could do it at home

Was greeted by lovely and frienely staff who showed us how to order. The food was incredibly tasty, especially the spicy chicken and rice. The place was clean and easy to navigate. Would definitely come back

Me topé con Indigo en Liverpool Street el día de su inauguración, ¡y qué experiencia tan increíble resultó ser! Originalmente me dirigía a otro lugar, pero el hambre y un accidente feliz me llevaron hasta aquí, y me alegra mucho que lo hiciera. Pedí el Indy Bento con mantequilla de pollo, granos, repollo y poriel de coco, y la col cremosa más increíble que he probado. Todo estaba lleno de sabor y bellamente equilibrado, reconfortante pero fresco. El bhaji de cebolla y col rizada era enorme (prácticamente del tamaño de mi cara! ) y perfectamente crujiente, maridado con una salsa de menta brillante que levantaba todo el plato. Para colmo, el equipo me ofreció un masala chai de cortesía, que era cálido, fragante y el final perfecto para la comida. Lo que lo hizo aún más especial fue el corazón detrás de la comida, se nota que realmente se preocupan por la experiencia que están creando. Compartí mis elogios con el equipo, y me sentí encantadora de conectarme con comida que tiene un significado cultural para mí. Terrible comida. 5 Platos que pedí ¡NI UNO AUTÉNTICO DE NOMBRE NI DE GUSTO! 1 . En primer lugar, los nombres de los menús fueron impactantes para mí porque Paneer makhanwala nunca se llama así, es Paneer Makhani. Paneer era horrible de mal gusto en salsa de sabor terrible. 2 . Batora nunca se llama así, es Bhatura. 4 BHATURA fue extremadamente DELGADA, impactante porque la auténtica Bhatura India siempre es GRUESA. 3 . Dal Maharani es un nombre sin sentido, siempre es Dal Makhani. BASURA INSÍPIDA. 4 . Cordero Biryani era terrible y utilizaron arroz barato que era extremadamente empapado y no fresco. Anuncian arroz basmati, pero era arroz cortado de grano corto empapado todo pegado. 5 . Chloe Bhature fueron los peores que he probado. Nunca más comeré aquí. Acabo de descubrir que Ranu Miah, que fundó estos restaurantes, es de Bangladesh, no es de extrañar que la comida no sepa como la India del Norte y el chef también es de Bangladesh. I've ordered food from here at least 3 different times. I always get some kind of curry and rice, and I've been happy with all kinds. I will definitely come back again when eating in the area. The service is always nice and friendly too.

Íbamos a buscar un lugar sirviendo masala dosai y encontramos este lugar por casualidad. La dosa se sirve en una caja para llevar pero funcionó bien. Las porciones eran grandes y el sabor era glorioso. Muy recomendable!

Pedido el pollo Biryani por £ 11. 95 , apenas pollo y arroz mínimo por el precio . La comida estaba bien, pero el tamaño de la porción era pobre, no volvería de nuevo o recomendaría como probablemente £ 5 sobre el precio y no vale la pena el dinero .

I don’t recommend the chicken biryani The lamb meal was a lot better As seen in the photo, one is almost done and one isn’t. You can probably figure out why. The 4stars because the chicken biryani was rubbish. £30 for two bowls and a mango lassi and water

I had the pleasure of trying a few dishes crafted by Chef Riaz at Indi-Go in Spitalfields, and I have to say, his culinary skills are truly exceptional. Each item I tried was cooked to perfection and bursting with authentic flavor. The attention to detail and the quality of ingredients were evident in every bite. The flavors were vibrant, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious. It’s clear that Chef Riaz puts passion and expertise into his work. Highly recommend anyone visiting Spitalfields to experience the incredible dishes prepared by him – you won’t be disappointed!

The people that served me on order and collection were very unfriendly. I had a mixed plate with butter chicken. The BC was way too hot when BC is usually a milder dish. It was not good value as there was a lot of rice and no roti £12.95.

Super delicious! We tried the samosa. Both vegetarian and meat. Very nice staff.

I ordered masala dosa for 11 pounds. Masala has raw onions and tomatoes. Coconut chutney was water mixed with coconut powder. Sambhar was okayish. I told employer about coconut chutney and he said we make like this and no body has complained in last 5 years. Though overall dosa was okay but for 11 pounds it is not good value for money. They definitely need to serve authentic coconut chutney. Thanks

great service ok food, a bit bland

I visited Indigo Liverpool for the first time and had their biryani which was absolutely delicious. Sanju provided exceptional service; she's extremely kind and understanding. I highly recommend paying them a visit. I definitely plan on returning to Indigo soon.

One best street food style meals I've had. For £11 Inc naan and bhaji (not pictured) value was great for London. Photo may not look like much but was really filling and flavours were amazing! Definitely recommend!

The large chunks of mutton and the rich, slightly spicy curry rice whetted my appetite. The mutton was soft and the rice was soft, I loved it. The portion of lamb was quite sufficient, which made me very satisfied. I like the curry flavor, but the curry flavor in the rice seems too strong, maybe too much sauce is put in it

I had an amazing experience at Indigo (Spitalfields). The food was outstanding, and the customer service was exceptional. Special thanks to Sanzu, Tania, and Mr. Shaikul for their friendly and attentive service. Highly recommend!

Bessst chilli fries I have EVER HADDD

Estuvimos en el mercado de Spitalfields para visitar la cercana exposición inmersiva Van Gogh y necesitábamos el almuerzo. De la plétora de puestos de comida en Spitalfields elegimos Indi - go Rasoi. Encantado de que lo hicimos. Cada uno eligió el Pollo Benti Box - absolutamente delicioso y buena relación calidad-precio (£ 12 ). Recomendaría encarecidamente y espero una visita de regreso la próxima vez que esté en Spitalfields.

The place reminded me of a food stall I used to visit in Sri Lanka, run by Indians. The chicken biryani was absolutely delicious and the sauce was well made too. Sanju and Tania were very friendly and welcoming. It's nice to see staff actually smile during peak hours! Islam, the chef, has clearly done a good job. I would highly recommend this place. Try the spicy chips too.

Lively atmosphere of Spitalfields market and free wi-fi make this a good location to hang out by the bench next to the food location. Had the indigo Bento box. Good value and quantity. Got a Naan, bhajiya, rice, Chana dal and lamb curry in the Bento box. Fresh and authentic tasting. Food others were ordering from them looked delicious too.

On our trip to London we found this restaurant in the great Spitalfields Market. The food was absolutely fantastic, I have never eaten such beautifully seasoned Indian food in Germany. Everything is freshly prepared and then all you can do is enjoy. Next time we're in London we'll be back!

Food is overpriced and not even authentic. I saw the chef microwave the food, and even the paneer wrap wouldn't come back to a place like this. The restaurant has replied back saying they follow the stricted process, but not sure how microwaving is being allowed as part of the process. Furthermore £8 for 1 paneer wrap is unjustified, as for £8 you'd get more quantity. Would recommend Mr Bombay vans instead.

I get a chicken and paneer wrap here literally every time I’m in the office. It’s delicious and the staff are super friendly as well. Whenever colleagues come to visit in London I always take them here too, and they always enjoy it as well 😊 Highly recommended!

Delicious dosas that were made for us even though the stall wasn't officially open

11 pounds for chicken curry and the container is 80% rice. Only about 4 tiny pieces of chicken. So not worth it.

Terrible dosa, extremely bad aubergine curry (nobody eats curry with dosa). The chatni is so so so bad, no taste, the ingredients were all disintergrated, no flavours at all.

Food is quite fresh but so bland and tasteless. Very unusual for Indian cuisine … had the butter chicken and onion bhajis. Disappointed

I live near and this is one of my go-to in Spitalfield market. I went with a friend from India recently and she actually was quite impressed and said the food is similar what you get at home. I was surprised because I imagine the stalls here are touristy at best so I’m happy about my choice

We went there in the evening for dinner, the chicken tandoori we ordered was very dry and bland. The staff there was very nice and helpful. Will try them again.

INCREDIBLE food! An explosion of flavours and the staff are sooooo lovely. The chicken curry was so flavourful and tender, the rice was nicely seasoned and the fresh naan bread was perfect. Highly, highly recommend 😍

Ordered a Chicken Kathi roll, great paratha but the filling could do with some flavour. I noticed some folks ordering curry that looked and smelled heavenly so may give that a try next time. Decently priced meals, sufficient portions for one person and quick service. Definitely worth a try.

Decent food and prices pretty good for central London. Spitalfields is too busy for me to enjoy my food (Sunday afternoon). Got the lamb curry meal deal for £12 which came with Indian bread not shown in pic.

Good Food, bit expensive for the quantity.

Ate the Indi Bento - a mixture of dishes - the chicken curry was surprisingly hot and spicy, the naan and onion bhaji tasted good. Good portions and excellent value at £12. Recommended.

The butter chicken is delicious and the give you a good size portion. Good value for money!

Had the wrap and the cheesy fries. Portion size was quite generous and my son and I could have easily shared one wrap and fries for the two of us. The wrap wasn’t the tastiest but still enjoyable. Loved the fries crispy on the outside and lots of melted cheese.

Got the lamb indi-bento. Delicious and so tender. And the service was top notch.

Chilli Fries were nice, lovely flavours and well presented. Could do with a little less salt, as I felt it was too much for me. Maybe just a personal preference but do make a note of this if ordering. 👍🏽 10/10 customer service. I would go again to try other menu items.

Absolutely bland chicken kati roll (wrap). Avoid at all costs. You really need some special skills to make something this bad.

I had the lamb wrap. The lamb was tasteless. The wrap had too many raw onions. Not enough salad or sauce. I didn't enjoy it.

Masal dosa was OK but slightly bland and thick. One staff member was very rude. After receiving my food and getting a seat I went back up to ask for napkins as none had been provided. Staff member asked had I ordered food there and I said yes pointing to my food on the table but she rudely replied "well I don't remember you". She begrudgingly gave me a napkin but this interaction was extremely rude and unnecessary. Would not recommend eating here.

Taste and Portion size is average. £11 for a lamb biryani is on an upperside and food was very oily. I would prefer Tiffinbox restaurant closer to Spitalfields as biryani taste is more authentic there.

The masala dosa hits the spot! It’s soooo good! The coconut Sambal and the dahl are so tasty. All I wish is that the flavours were a little spicier but it really is delicious and I can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much for the chai to keep us warm. It was delicious! I really also appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff!

The most amazing lamb biryani I have come across not just in London, but the entire UK. After having tried more than 20-30 desi restaurants in search for the perfect biryani, I've found it. I highly recommend them for the rest of their food too, like the chicken tikka wrap and butter chicken! But the lamb biryani was a completely different story, and a very good one at that! Will definitely come again when in London!

Bland sambhar with the dosa..not worth 10 pounds at all! Probably the worst dosa and sambhar I have tried in all of UK

For the price I expected a bit more. Ordered the Murgh Butter Makhani, come with about 3 to 4 tiny pieces of chicken, the butter sauce was tasteless and the rice as well. Not what I was expecting for a 15 pounds plate.

I had my lunch yesterday at westfield, the meal was for 2 persons, we ordered 2 biryani, one was £11 (prawn, but it was the smallest prawn size I have ever eaten!) and the other was £14 (Lamb) slightly high price but I saw that on the menu and I was ok with it. However, I thought of adding a small bowl of lentil soup, in my mind I was thinking it may be cost £2-4 since the main dish is £11. I ordered the lentil soup and the cashier said it comes with either rice or bread, I said I just want the soup! she said no you cannot, I said can I have it with the chips instead since I have rice, she said NO, so I went with the bread, I was shocked when the total bill comes at £44!! and I was absolutely disappointed when I saw that the small lentil soup bowl with bread costed me £14, WHAT A RIP OFF!! I felt like scammed and I decided that this will be my last visit to this shop ...

Bloody awful. Such bad food and obviously isn’t authentic with it being pre cooked chicken and curry sauce from a jar. Bad food and high recommend not going here

Not a huge vegetarian choice but what there is (I had a dhosa and bhajis and some other sundries) was excellent... definitely going back.

Pricey for such a tiny paneer wrap. Dont order their wraps, as the diameter of them is that of a small sausage. Not value for money at all.
