Must not recommend, staff is very rude and aggressive to make their point, I had ordered chicken Briyani and he made it sweet and he put pineapple syrup on the top Briyani. When I asked it is sweet and the chef along with manager started explaining me aggressively that this how we make Briyani and I should tell them before that I don’t want pineapple syrup on top. Can anyone tell him how would I know what he serve me 💀

Perfect for what it is, we got dosa and paraote breads and Brinjat (eggplant) masala and it was excellent and flavorful. A bit of heat but not too spicy, while the atmosphere is exactly as it should be for a semi-takeaway shop, three stars conveys that you shouldn’t expect tablecloths and fancy settings. The proprietor was lovely to talk to and we had excellent service.

Update: The dosa chef left to India recently, and the dosas are horrendous now! RIP Dosa World. Mind-blowing! I ran into Dosa World by accident, and I can honestly say that it is, by far, the best South Indian place I’ve been to in London. I had the medu vada (!), the rava masala dosa, and the badam milk shake. The dosa batter is made in-house, and the quality really shows. There was a generous amount of masala, and the sambar and chutneys were very good. Only a really authentic place will serve medu vada, and not offer a stupid mango lassi (which is not a thing in India). Very pleasant atmosphere and quick service. Good prices too.

I visited Dosa Corner on a cold evening, looking for some comfort food to warm me up. I was not disappointed by the cosy atmosphere and the friendly service of this restaurant. The menu offered a variety of South Indian dishes, from dosas to curries, and I decided to try the lamb and potato curry with parota and the steaming hot egg dosa. The lamb and potato curry was rich and flavourful, with tender pieces of lamb and soft potatoes in a spicy sauce. The parota was a flaky and buttery flatbread, perfect for dipping into the curry. The egg dosa was a thin and it came with two different chutneys: coconut and tomato. I enjoyed the contrast of the savoury dosa and the sweet and tangy chutneys. The portions was okay and the prices were reasonable. I was very satisfied with my experience at Dosa Corner, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty and authentic South Indian meal. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars, only deducting one star for the slightly slow service during the peak hours.

There are so many fake Google reviews of Bricklane indian/bangladeshi restaurants (check out all the 5 star reviews done by a person who's only ever written 1 review). Many of those restaurants have people standing outside pressuring you to go in as you browse the menu. Dosa World is the exact opposite; more of a cafe than a restaurant (no alcohol), a few no-frills tables, and kind staff who listen to you attentively and cook everything made to order (I was able to ask for coconut milk to be used in my dish) as well as an extensive menu (with lots of vegetarian options). Honest, welcoming and delicious. Thank you :)

Others in the party had dosas which were very good. Apart from the excellent food I should mention the friendly and helpful staff. Dosa World is only a few steps away from the tourist trail of Brick Lane with endless guys offering discounts and trying to lure you in. None of this at Dosa World. Unfortunately there were not a lot of people eating but then we were quite early. What else can I say? Patronise if you are in the area.

I am being very generous giving a 1, as the only thing that deserves credit is the food (which tasted alright - not good). It was my life's mistake coming to this restaurant However I think it tasted alright as were hungry and so needed food. We came to the restaurant yesterday, and we walked in. My first complaint is that there was almost no parking, however this isn't that much of an issue as it was in a rush area. There was only one other family and there were loads of empty tables. We asked the workers there, and they said it was fully reserved. Then, my mum talked with the manager, and he asked us to wait outside for 5 minutes (which turned into 15 min), and after that we got a very small table for a family of 4. Then, we gave our orders. It turned out that half the things on the menu couldn't be made. We let that problem slide as we thought of other options. The person who was taking our order was very arrogant and raised his voice a bit - looked as though he disrespected us (he does this to everybody). We also ordered 2 mango lassis. It took 30 minutes for these mango lassis to arrive (we also had to remind the lady worker, and she bought us the lassis 5 min later). Also, it took the food around 50 min to arrive. The lady worker first bought us another table's order in 30 min. We politely said 'No, sorry you must have got confused between the tables', and she walked away. Finally, when we got our food we found out that portions were very small, and for dosas, you have to pay for extra servings of chutneys, while this is free in other restaurants. Also, the dosa was not that crispy. Also, since this is a south indian / sri lankan cuisine, I suggest you only get the foods from these cuisines only as other foods are not that good. Also, they charge quite alot. In conclusion: - DO not come to this restaurant for a date or with kids - DO not come if you are very hungry - DO not come at peak times.
