Zakir is a wonderful host. Fantastic food. It is a shame that upstairs isn’t always open as it is a much better atmosphere.

7 star service from Zakir, as always. Can we ensure the upstairs seats are in use, in the afternoon, not easy doing work on a laptop in the dark.

Hi guys, First time eating at Sahara Grill in Whitechapel (London). It’s was a great experience and food was amazing . I got lamb steak medium rare, it was cooked bang on and the marinate was amazing. Mrs got the Cajun chicken , charr flavour and juicy chicken , creamy homemade coleslaw. Omar, our waiter was nice ,pleasant and wel mannered. Omar thanks for the recommendation and the service. In sha Allah see you another time. Assalamu alaikum 💚💚💚

Sahara Grill Whitechapel is the original halal steak spot, setting the bar for quality and service. The atmosphere is peaceful and private, with no music, making it perfect for families. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the food—especially the steak and beef rib—is consistently outstanding. Always a top choice for halal dining! Sulemaan was our waiter with outstanding service.

We stopped for lunch here during our recent trip to London and had a fantastic experience. It’s such a shame I have to write this but I am so owners can see and try to improve. I have been going to Sahara grill from when they first opened. I must say that the quality and taste of the food has dropped significantly. I was very disappointed with my meal which I have ordered many times before. Salmon was low quality and not fresh. Salad was stale and seemed off with no flavour. Beef was super tough and chewy. Dynamite shrimp didn’t taste as good as they used to. Only thing good about this place is its service and how accommodating they are to their customers.

Top-Tier Experience Every Time! I’ve had multiple dinners here over the years, and it never disappoints. The Chinese steak is amazing, and the service and organization are top-tier. I’m especially impressed by their use of technology, keeping up with the times and making the experience seamless. The elegant décor adds to the great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Out of the branches we came here because of the service and food. However after a year I was really disappointed. The food portions have severely dropped steak was small and chips came out warm with the sauce over powering the steak itself. Called for desserts and when they came they still hadn’t taken our food plates away. It’s wasn’t busy and was disappointed to see how branches have dropped. Not surprised seeing our local Hounslow branch shut down. Also for a family of 5 with drinks and 2 desserts set us back £162 !!! Unfortunately time to move on

I have been coming to this branch for many years, I don’t know if it’s just today however, the chef has definitely changed. The chilli sauce has changed one of the key reasons I was a returning customer and the sautéed beef tasted completely different with a strong ginger taste. When I asked the person at the counter has the chef changed when paying the staff responded by saying no, the food comes from head office it’s the same, when I explained I’m a very loyal customer especially this branch and I am 100% the chilli sauce has also changed there’s no point denying it, the man became silent and didn’t know what to say and then finally managed to say il let the chef know. If your a Sahara grill lover do not go to this branch anymore the food tasted extremely bad

My friends and I planned to have our iftar gathering at this place as it was situated near East London Mosque. For me, the slow cooked ribs were absolutely delicious, tender and just fell apart at the slightest touch, with the gravy provided adding an additional layer of flavour. The curly chips were also a nice addition to the meal and the Sahara Passion was strong in its Passion Fruit flavour and really refreshing, though the amount of ice was a bit much. Although my meal was very satisfying, there were mixed responses from my friends with their meals so if you do come here, order what I did and you'll be heavily satisfied.

Excellent food, nice to have no music, so able to have a conversation with each other and savour the food and atmosphere. Will recommend.

I’ve been coming here on and off for a few years. The portions are smaller but one thing that annoys me is the waiters who reach over me in the table. They should maintain a distance from customers and the table ie their belly shouldn’t hang over a small table for 2 and likewise when they speak they should maintain some distance . It’s so uncomfortable. Or just send the robot over and we will take the food ourselves

I have been going to Sahara for over 10 years, but this is the first time I've been to Whitechapel branch. The food was overly spicy, (so much so that you could taste the spice in the air whilst they were cooking) and the service was not upto standards comparing to Sahara in Gangshill and Leyton. Very disappointed I don't think I'm going back to this branch ever.

Brilliant restaurant - always has excellent, speedy service. Food is always fresh and high quality. Jamal gave excellent service and was very attentive to our needs.

My husband invited me and my children for dinner, we had grilled lamb and beef steaks, and the children ordered beef and chicken burgers, also grilled wings, ribs and salad, I had the iced mint and lemon drink, it was great, the staff are friendly, the place is warm and clean, I will come back. Fahim, Nizzar and Nazrul from the Sahara grill restaurant in Gants Hill has always been nice, polite, helpful and friendly. If I’m being honest all of the staff are lovely. Me and my family have only had good experiences at Sahara grill in Leyton and Gants Hill. The atmosphere is lovely and chilled. The food that me and my family have got we have enjoyed it. The service is good too. I do recommend you at least visit once and have the experience.

I went to Sahara grill the other night as I was greeted by the manager. after scanning the menu our waiter Sulemaan greeted us and took our order. He provided the best service that night we had ever received whenever we go to Sahara Grill. Food was really nice MaShaAllah and atmosphere was good and will definitely come back to have him as our waiter

The other day, we headed to Sahara Grill, and as we arrived, the manager greeted us at the door. We got there around 8:30 PM and waited about five minutes before being seated. After checking out the menu, our waiter for the night, Sulemaan, came over to take our order. His service was easily the best we’ve experienced at Sahara Grill—attentive, friendly, and professional. On top of that, the food was incredible. We’ll definitely be coming back, and hopefully, we’ll get served by Sulemaan again!

As me and my friend walked into sahra grill the other day, and i was greeted by manager at the door, we walked in around 8:30ish and got a table after a 2 min wait. After scanning the menu we were greeted by our waiter called sulemaan at the table who was our waiter the whole night, he provided us the best service we’ve received at sahara grill yet kept checking on us to make sure all was good and the food was also 10/10. Had a booking for 2 people at 8pm, as soon as we walked in the doorman sent us downstairs and the waiter showed us our table, The waiter sulemaan took our order and gave us excellent service. our starters came first (lamb chops and herbi wings) and then we had our mains shortly arrive after, we ordered a half chicken with 2 sides each, it was slightly spicy but never the less the food was amazing
