I have been a loyal customer of Rox Burgers at their various locations for years, back when it was proudly one of the best burger spots in town, as their old sign at the new location still claims. However, after my recent visit, it’s clear that Rox is far from the high standard it once was. The experience was incredibly disappointing, and it’s painful to say, but Rox Burgers is no longer a contender for quality burgers. Rox Burgers is now tucked inside a Pan-Asian restaurant, and their once appealing burger menu has been slashed to just four options. This was already disheartening, but the real issue began when the food arrived. My burger (the On the Rox) was burnt on the outside and dry on the inside. It also came with pickles—something I can’t eat—which weren’t listed on the menu, but the onions that were supposed to be there were missing. When I raised this with the waitress, she oddly responded with, “Oh, but you asked for no jalapeños,” which had nothing to do with the issue. My fellow diners had similarly lackluster meals; their burgers were just as dry, and none lived up to Rox’s former glory. The fries were a particular low point. They tasted like they’d been cooked in old oil, with an unpleasant fishy aftertaste, which completely ruined them. Bizarrely, they were served with soy sauce instead of ketchup or mayo. When we asked for ketchup, it never arrived. The service was equally disappointing. When one of my companions wanted a second glass of wine, we flagged down a staff member who told us we had to ask the waitress instead of helping us himself. Despite the restaurant being practically empty, it took almost 20 minutes just to get a glass of wine. Throughout the evening, it became more and more obvious that the staff wanted us gone. They started cleaning up outside, moving tables and chairs, and even turned the “open” sign to “closed” before 9 p.m., despite the restaurant’s posted closing time being 10 p.m. This made for an awkward and uncomfortable atmosphere, adding to an already frustrating experience. All in all, the quality of both the food and service at Rox has dropped dramatically. What used to be one of the best burgers in town has become a subpar, uncomfortable dining experience. I’m genuinely relieved we used a Groupon voucher to discover this decline because if we had paid full price, I would have been furious. In all honesty, even with a voucher, you’re probably better off grabbing a burger from a fast-food joint. At least there, you know what you’re getting, and the quality is consistent. Rox Burgers, sadly, is a shadow of what it once was.

First time at the gourmet burger, and I was really impressed with the food. The burger was perfect, and it was really tasty, chips cooked really nicely. Great friendly staff and nice vide. The only thing that lets it down is the service charge added to the bill, which was nearly £7 on a £50 bill, and another service charge of £1:13 added to another bill for 2 drinks, they then ask if you want to pay a tip, I declined that, but I can give them a tip now, we are not in America, and maybe think about the service charges if you want to gain repeat custom.

Spent £70 on order for delivery only to receive 2 milkshakes. Our entire food order was missing and all the GBK manager could advise is that I contact Uber eats. Absolutely appalling to say the least. This has been a common theme from this restaurant, and is seemingly getting worse. Whether the issue lies with GBK or Uber Eats, GBK could do more to acknowledge the issue, and follow through with mitigating repeat occurrences.

Popped in for a snack lunch, haven't stepped inside a Wimpy for many many years. Found the place to be immaculate, well run with lovely staff. Unfortunately, let down by the quality of the burger in my cheeseburger. Thin and gristly, it wasn't good. Nice bun, plenty of lettuce and large sliced tomato. Coffee tasted good. I'm afraid I won't be returning soon.

Absolutely love Boxpark London! Perfect spot for a fun night out without breaking the bank. The drinks are super affordable, which is rare to find in London, especially for a place with such a cool atmosphere. They have a great range of options, so there’s something for everyone, and the bartenders are quick even when it’s busy. The vibe on weekends is unbeatable—tons of energy, with a young crowd and live DJs that keep the place buzzing. It’s open-air but covered, so it works in any weather. It’s an ideal spot to meet up with friends, grab some drinks, and just enjoy the night. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lively, budget-friendly night out in London!

I've never had a bad experience at Butch Annie's. I think of their burgers as an example when I buy a burger from a pub or restaurant as they make the best burgers I've tried so far, the only downside I could think of would be the room so if your looking to go there in the evening its wise to book as they get very busy.
