Crafty Burger

Castle, Leicester
09/03/2019: We love Crafty Burger. We have been many times, we have tried lots of the burgers and we love them all. Best food in Leicester by far! I deffinitly recommend pimping your fries to go with your burger. We travel quite far to come to Crafty Burger and we have never been disappointed.
19/02/2019: Visited as part of an evening out. Had been drinking previously, and had just reached the point in the evening when sustenance was required. Boy, did Crafty Burger fill a hole and it did so in style. Burgers were generous in portion size and my favourite part was the crispy bacon. Very good.

Department of Meat & Social Affairs

Castle, Northampton
27/02/2019: Tasty food, Relaxing environment, and competitive price.I had a chicken burger and it was one of the best I've ever tried. Recommended
25/02/2019: This is an amazing venue for private parties. We had about a 100 guests who all had a fabulous time. Friendly and helpful staff, great music and excellent food made it a perfect night !!! Its also perfectly located centrally in Northampton which was easy for guests to get to. The staff were also very helpful in planning the event in the weeks running upto the party. Highly recommend it!

Handmade Burger Co

Castle, Leicester, 20-30£
17/03/2019: The food was alright, but the service was terrible. We asked for the bill, then watched the busser (an overstatement of his role at that!) leave us, then take a different bill to another table. We then waited a further 10 minutes for the bill to brought, by the supposed manager on site. After waiting over 20 minutes for drinks, we didn't really have high hopes for the meal, and it turns out we were right not to. And as it was St. Patrick's Day, it wasn't even busy. The waitress at the beginning managed to remain as unenthusiastic as we were with her service. I'd recommend people steer clear of this glorified café
04/03/2019: Too expensive, uninspired, burgers over cooked and the fries and onion rings especially over cooked. In fact, the onion rings seemed as if they were cooked at Chernobyl; had a weird, thick batter/coating that was not palatable. For the price, you would expect a top notch burger. I mean, c'mon; it's not hard to cook a good burger ! They got our money this time but we won't be going back.

Byron Highcross

Castle, Leicester
26/09/2018: This place has closed. It was expensive anyway. Huge impersonal venue.Sorry to see anywhere fail but this had an aim of doom from the start. A cynical venture fund type operation which always felt run by its accountants.
05/08/2018: Loved the burgers here. Being a vegetarian your normally left with one option of a portobello mushroom burger. But not here. They have a selection of yummy veggie burgers.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen

St Ann's, Nottingham
28/02/2019: Service was good, but only counter service, no table service.
20/02/2019: We ordered and paid for our meal and after 30 minutes we still had not been served, so I went up to the till/kitchen to ask what the delay was, to be told they were about to start cooking our meal and that there was a 30 to 40 minute delay. As a consequence we asked to be reimbursed as we had a theatre booking 25 minutes later. We were fully reimbursed and received an apology however it would have been so much better if we had been told about the delay when we ordered. The restaurant was not full but clearly they are not employing enough staff. This was a pity as we have eaten here before and the food was good.

handmade burger Co.

Carholme, Lincoln, <20£
06/03/2019: Visited this restaurant using a wowcher offer of 2 burgers for £10.95. On arrival the place was literally deserted with only 3 other tables occupied in such a large building.
06/03/2019: As the name suggests the burgers are hand made but the question is by who as mine looked definitively processed, anyway regardless of the manufacturing process the chef over cooked it making it tough as an old boot and somehow extracted the flavour on the way so all I was left with was a dollop of vinegary sauces. My other gripe is the exorbitantly priced bottled beer to accompany my overpriced tasteless tough vinegar burger. Needless to say I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Meet Burger

Loughborough Hastings, Charnwood
07/04/2018: Great service, fresh tasty burgers and really friendly staff. Very reasonably priced. Bit noisy if the students are in for a family meal but lively atmosphere, probably better to go with friends
23/02/2018: Been to this restaurant twice and I really like the food. Lots of different dishes to try which I love.

Burger King

Winstanley, Blaby
08/03/2019: My wife and I called in at 11.15am 8 Mar 2019. There were no customers in the place but there were at least three tables that were very dirty and one that hadn't been cleaned. It was absolutely freezing - so much that the two staff - the cook and the server - were wearing coats.
02/02/2019: Made the mistake of coming here for the second time, tables and floor were filthy and it was so cold inside, It was actually warmer outside. Staff don't seem to be bothered and a smile seems to be an impossible ask for them.

Heanor East, Amber Valley
06/01/2019: Viv & I went shopping to Ripley, Derbyshire, we were staving hungry but the queue at Macdonalds was to long so we called at a local Hungry Horse, the waiting time for food was over an hour so we went hungry
03/11/2018: We popped in here for a late bite from the station, I can honestly say the standard of “food” using that word loosely was not fit for consumption. The cheese burgers and Big Macs were ultra thin with no taste, flavour and over cooked, the machine for McFlurry and milkshakes was broken. How McDonald’s can charge for substandard food in this day and age is beyond me.
