Very nice burgers, be careful not to order to much wet filling tho as the bun won't handle it (I got a Brioche bun which may have been the problem).

Unbelievably rude staff. Ordered my food, specifically requested a topping be on the side. When it came out on my burger I was told that it would just be scraped off and served back up to me. I disagreed with this and the attitude of the waitress when I said so was disgraceful. Will avoid this branch in future.

I was extremely dissatisfied with the level of service I received at the Burger Joint on Thursday last week. This was due to the following poor service: 1) Poor Seat Planning - Sat my party next to the toilets despite the rest of restaurant being free. 2) Poor Drinks Order - Despite being table service, we did not get asked for our drinks order after 30 minutes of waiting we asked the staff to take our order. 3) Poor food order - had to wait another 30m for the staff to take our food order. 4) Poor Order to Plate Time - We waited an 1h 20m for our food to arrive. At the same time Deliveroo orders were being picked up every 20 minutes. 5) Incorrect Order - When the order arrived it was missing the toppings. 6) Delayed Order Correction - After highlighting the error to the waiting staff I was told my order would be sorted in 2 minutes. 10 minutes of waiting the rest of my food was cool. 7) Lack of Recognition in Poor Service in Bill - The bill did not reflect the level of poor service we received. Clearly this restaurants more highly valued orders from Deliveroo than people actually eating in.

Really bad experience. The burger showed up over cooked with 2 pieces of lettuce and one slice of tomato. There was no sauce and no care put into it. It didn’t look AT ALL like the picture - completely false advertising. The hash browns were soggy and crumbled as soon as you touched it. The mac and cheese was a good portion size for the cost but tasted really poor. A complete waste of money and really disappointed in the quality of food.

I can't review the food but I've had a bad experience with this place. I wanted to try out this spot as I had heard good things. We booked a table, but we arrived to find the place had shut early due to staffing issues. This is fine, but when you are asked to leave a phone number and email address when making a booking, it wouldn't have been difficult for them to let us know that they had to cancel. Why else do they need to take contact details?

I want to stress the staff were lovely and food was decent but the restaurant was understaffed when we went on a Wednesday evening. This resulted in a poor experience: -dirty, sticky table - drinks forgotten twice - a 45 minute wait - couldn't flag anyone down for more drinks I put down to poor management - the manager was there on his laptop watching his 2 waiters struggle to do everything during a busy period.

Ordered once before and was lovely. Ordered today and it was disgusting, I was somehow missing the top of the bun to my burger, both burgers are cremated and cold. Took them over an hour to cook it and it came out like this. Do not recommend at all!

Dreadful. The meal took 1 hour 45 minutes to arrive. We called after an hour and they said it would be 15/20 minutes more. When it arrived the food was cold and they got the order wrong (french fries instead of sweet potsto fries). The staff were very friendly and apologetic when we called but overall a very bad experience.

Good (not great) burger, lots of customisation choice. Hash browns were fantastic. Service was good.

Mediocre and expensive burger. Bristol has a plethora of far superior burgers, go to Asado, Squeezed or Hub Box instead.

Best burgers in Bristol! Haven't been to Bristol for a few years but visited recently and popped in for lunch, choice was fantastic and even the kids, fussy eaters that they are asked when we are going back. Friendly and helpful staff too.

Having a specific dietary requirement, I decided to check out this place for afternoon lunch with the family. Tried out their vegan burger, was lots for choice for the amount of ingredients they have available to top you burger and chips. Literally blown away. 10/10 for taste and experience. Kids had Mac n cheese. Defo will be out joint to go to! Highly recommended

Gotta say worth going here all day long - over the golden arches alternative. Super tasty and good value for money along with many options to choose from. Nice cold beverages, real size portions and gourmet meats in a bun. Well done guys keep up the good work 👍

I'm not sure what to talk about first, the burgers or the shakes! 🥛 Really cool venue, was recommended by a friend and not dissapointed. We booked in advance and were greated with a warm welcome, quite a varied menu with lots of options, they had no issues with giving advice. The burger was absolutely delicious, tasted super meaty and seasoned, fries were just as I like, skinny and crispy and the milkshakes were to die for! I really can't recommend this place enough, best burger in Bristol! 🍔

I think I just found my new favourite burger place in Bristol! What makes this place unique is the fact that you have complete control over what is in your burger as it is all customised! Whatever extras you want in the burger joint got you covered with just one tick! The ordering process is so efficient and simple. Although it was the sweet potato chips absolutely stole the show! So cripsy on the outside but soft and smooth inside. You must try it!

Been many times over - almost tried ever burger - mazing place to visit for lunch or evenings - big portions for what you pay - reasonable prices as good quality - the new Management really upgraded this place and service make you feel at home - great for Birthday Parties - they also get good promotion if you follow this Join on Instagram LOVELY PLACE AND FOOD 🍔🍔🍔 Surely my fav burger join in the area 5🌟

Amazing food, terrible staff. Went out with partner and friends for a little treat, and even though the food was lovely, the guy serving us couldn't help but comment on my preference foodwise, and just kept giving me weird glances everytime he passed by. He somehow got the order wrong aswell...don't ask! You "write it" down yourself, but, got it a bit wrong. Fixed in the end, so, no biggie. Biggest issue was the guy's attitude. Would've happily left a tip, but, not after we've been looked at like we're some sort of peasants. Decided to leave right away and continued having drinks in a more customer friendly place. We ate there before, but, never been treated like that. Afraid to say that we won't be dining there again anytime soon, nor shall we recommend it again. Very unpleasant experience.

Stumbled across this place as our initially planned go-to restaurant was closed due to bank holiday. I must say this was not the best burger experience, my burger was ok however the coleslaw I ordered as a side didn't taste very fresh and was extremely underwhelming, sour cream didn't arrive as per my order. Service was very slow but understandable as we were informed they were short-staffed.

That's the vegan "beef" burger I had. Can't complain about anything as it's a custom made and that's what makes this place so good. The ingredients are very well prepared. Staff so friendly, beer so cold, it really deserves a 5 star 🌟 rating.

Very slow service, but good food

Turned up yesterday at 8.35pm and they said kitchen was closed. Google maps says they close at 10.30pm. We called 20 minutes before going, and they said kitchen closed at 9pm. My friends, when they turned up, were told they were short of staff. We called again after this, and were told a kitchen staff member had had an accident. But were then told they were still open for takeaway! The burgers are usually great, but not much use if they won’t serve them.

Called in to get a takeaway on the way home from a family holiday in Minehead, based on other reviews. Really excellent burgers and sides, can highly recommend the beef burgers which are succulent and have no unwanted additives. The gluten free buns taste just like ordinary buns and the hand cut chips are to die for too. Quite a large order for four of us but everything was spot on and exactly as ordered. Really impressive.

Tasty 6oz beef, lots of choices to customize your burger and really helpful and welcoming staff. We had a very good time here. Recommended.

If your looking for the best burger in Bristol, this may be place your looking for. The burgers ate fully customisable, from the bun to the toppings and the choice of sides is great. There's a restaurant on North Street, and Whiteladys Road . Although the quality in both was great, the one on North Street, in my opinion, was the better of the 2. The onion rings at North Street are in a class of their own. I also felt the staff were more welcoming at the North Street branch

I visited the restaurant with a friend on a Monday lunch time. I ordered the Burger of the month which was fantastic while my friend had a roasted veg salad which he said was fresh and very tasty. The choices available are numerous and the service from the staff was superb. Highly recommended.

The customer service is terrible! We (two people) ordered two full sets of burgers for which you should normally have at least half an hour to eat them, but the waiters came every 5 minutes checking if we have finished and every time although they were seeing we still hadn't finished, they asked if we have finished. One of the worst experience for me really. And the restaurant was completely empty by the way, and they were not in shortage of table by any means just very amateur and unprofessional!

Terrible experience when we went, very in your face and pushy manager. Multiple wrong orders and arguing back when we complained about them being wrong. Chair collapsed on a guest too. The food was nice so I would recommend takeaway but not dine in. Really awful customer service, will not be returning.

Really great food, and top notch service. We stopped of on a Saturday after watching a film at the Everyman, and the place was pretty busy. We were seated immediately, and had our orders taken quickly. We had a minor hiccup with the drinks (one server told my companion that non-alcoholic beers weren’t served at weekends, while our table server said that was incorrect and rustled up an alcohol free beer for her), but they were served quickly in delightfully chilled glasses. Food took a bit longer, but we could see how busy the place was, so were happy to wait. When it arrived it was totally worth it. I had a venison burger with Brie and sweet potato fries, and it was delicious! The variety of options available could seem a little daunting, but the menu includes recommendations for the various burgers at the bottom which was very helpful. Our servers were all very attentive without being intrusive, which was very much appreciated. Overall we were very impressed with our first experience, and will definitely visit again.

So disappointing. Ordered 3 burgers with Uber eats, normally really good service but this time sauces were missing for two burgers, topping missing for two burgers as well and the brioche rolls were stale. Awful meal that cost me a fortune

Pretty good! You are able to pick all the elements of your burger. Vegan items are available as well as the option to have your burger as a salad. Service was slow and slightly clunky.

Great atmosphere, lovely and very attentive staff, wide food choices and delicious food. We have 2 veggies, one vegan and a meat eater in the family and all were satisfied! The staff were lovely. We went for an early tea with the kids so it was very well priced. I would absolutely 100% come here again.

The burgers were amazing as always, however, service was disgraceful. Tables were not clean outside, staff member looked like he just woke up and the shift runner even did not know that Burger Joint does discount for students. In the end, I was told I could get a discount of 8% which I was confused about but could not be bothered to argue as I just wanted to leave the place where I was not made welcome. If I go back I would probably go to the North Street restaurant as despite being grumpy at least staff knows what they are doing there.

Its a small, awkward building with steps at the front (not ideal in the slightest for wheelchairs) but the amazing food and friendly service made up for this. Great special offers, outdoor seating and fast service. Rapidly becoming quite expensive, and road noise and the decaying tables is fairly off-putting outside.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. These are certainly one of the best burgers I've ever had, and I've never left the venue feeling disappointed. Options on the menu are extensive and clearly caters for Vegetarian/Vegans. At every opportunity I recommend Burger Joint to friends.

Brands itself as fancy but is by far the worst burger I’ve had in Bristol. No one I saw managed to finish their food and for good reason. Terrible quality.

Went to this place based on the previous reviews. We went during a very quiet period, we were the only ones in the restaurant. The service was very average, it seemed like they didn't want to be there and would be on their phones a lot, which isn't very professional. The food was just ok. I had a beef burger with all the trimmings and it was very dry and over-seasoned. The chips had way too much truffle oil, making them very sickly after a while. The portions were generous though. I would suggest making a trip to three brothers for a much better burger experience if you are looking for a decent burger in Bristol.

One of the best burgers I've had here in Bristol with friendly, helpful staff armed with good drinks suggestion (they know their products well). Love the lamb and mint burger, homemade slaw, english mustard and truffle mayo. A must-order side is the sweet potato fries. Delicious!!!

Edit: I wrote previously that it's the best ratio of price:quality but in this week they increase price of burgers by 40%. Now it's a typical price for really good burger but I don't think it's the best deal anymore. The restaurant inside is a bit small and claustrophobic but it's something which of course cannot be change in 1 night. Stuff is very friendly, dishes are prepared really fast, no problem with take-away food (usually needs to wait 10-15 minutes even when it's pretty busy night). Perfect spot!

We had a great time at this place! Amazing dishes and very welcoming staff! I would definitely recommend to visit, they have great deals for brunches on week days! P.S. If you order *refill drinks make sure they will be in the same glasses, overwise they might be put onto the bill as new drinks.

Best burger I ever ate, serving is quick and the staff is really nice.

Appalling service. Would not return and would absolutely not recommend to anyone. This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in Bristol. Waited fairly long to have our orders taken. After we finished the burgers, Amber asked us if we want to order anything else. We ordered dessert to then be told that we only have 5 minutes until we need to leave the table. We tried to cancel the dessert but that wasn’t possible because the order went through. She brought the dessert 2 minutes before we had to leave and told us to ‘eat quickly’. Very rude and confrontational attitude, absolutely no respect or care. Food was okay but nothing special.

Very slow service - had to wait 20mins to order, however the worst part was that AFTER recommending and preparing our dessert, they told us we had 5 minutes to finish up and leave as people were waiting in queue. Insisted we eat our piping hot dessert within those 5 minutes.

We went to this burger restaurant as a family group and we all enjoyed our meals. You choose your burger with toppings, sides etc on a sheet but I unfortunately ticked the wrong boxes ticking on the right and not the left! When a veggie burger came out and I realised my mistake they kindly said they would do me a beef burger if I waited a few minutes. The truffle and Parmesan fries, onion rings, Mac and cheese and cheese garlic bread were delicious as was my burger. Although the toilets were small there is a baby changing unit. Clean plates around the table and we see too full to try the desserts.

Food was ok, but the service was horrible. We were told we had to leave by 7:30, but our desserts came out at 7:28. Were told to just "eat more quickly".

I had a table booked at Burger Joint In Bristol last week , I wrote restaurant email before and informed that one menu will be gluten-free! after arriving, the waiter didn't really understand what it contains gluten,and where exactly is so he brought me an allergy checklist! I ordered a burger with extras, but in the process of eating I spot inside my burger was completely different extras , which I did not order, my partner also had a completely different order than he stated in the card! After returning home I started to feel bad, I had diarrhea and severe stomach aches! 4 days I was in bed with headaches and stomachaches, I had to take time off from work! That was a typical reaction to gluten what is really dangerous for me ! I wrote email with complain and I asked for a refund for my dinner, and pay more attention to other people with allergies! I had few emails back regarding my complain how sorry they are and the stuff is fully trained, but I don’t think was because guy didn’t have a clue what can I order ! In the final email manager invited me for free burger and side but I will not put my health in risk again or be afraid I will be unwell again! People with allergies and intolerance for gluten is not a joke and place like Burger Joint didn’t took this serious enough!!!

Overpriced expensive and bland food

Really good food, friendly service, decent prices - what more could you ask? Much better than nearby burger place, and cheaper too.

The parmesan and truffle chips were amazing and I could eat them again and again. The burger was okay - certainly not worth the price. The beef was overdone (I wasn’t asked how I’d like it in the first place) and the sauces, salad etc way too cold. The chicken wings were flavourless and rubbery. I doubt I’ll be coming back - if you want to charge prices like that you need to make sure the food is of exceptional quality; no excuses.

The food was impeccable, I mean I've never tasted a burger so good and jeez the fries were beautiful. The portion size was amazing, I didn't leave feeling hungry I felt very full! Only downside is how tight the place was. There was 8 of us and we were all squeezed in an area where 6 at most should be.

Called in for a quick burger meal and once again another great burger experience. Impressed with the Bristol ale that they sell.

Great burger place in Whitelady. I particularly appreciated the possibility of building your own burger (vegetarian and vegan options available) and choosing sides and toppings. Be careful of how many things you add because the burger is already big enough 😹 Price is okay, and the staff is young and helpful. Totally recommended!

Went here a few months ago, absolutely brilliant. Great food, a ridiculous number of options and friendly staff. Will definitely go again (will certainly have to because of the number of options there). Highly recommend

I think the food was good? We got a delivery for 5 people and by the time it arrived it was frozen. We had waited quite a while too. The parmazen and truffle oil chips were bland and barely had any cheese on them.

Honestly the best burger experience I have had in several years. This just hit a new level for me. Food We kept it simple and only had mains, stick to the name I guess but there are starter and dessert options which looked good when they were being served to others. So its all about choice and personalisation, you are given a little checklist of what they offer and you build your own burger (there are some suggestions too). I went for Italian herb bread, beef burger (comes with a bit of salad) and then as toppers I selected mac and cheese, streaky bacon and pulled pork, side of triple cooked chips and sauces of BBQ and Garlic Mayo. I then added onion rings as an extra side to share. My partner went for the chicken burger on Italian herb bread with pulled pork and skinny fries, BBQ and Baconaisse sauces. Oh my god these burgers were amazing, the pulled pork was just incredible and full of flavour. For me the triple cooked chips were the highlight (which is really saying something as the burger was so good!) Crispy on the outside and soft and velvet like inside. When I tried to pick the burger up it did get messy so probably not one for a first date 😅 Service Service all night was quick and attentive. The staff are like an army of worker ants, all running around getting stuff done. I have no idea how they organise themselves, it was like everyone did everything for everyone but honestly it worked and I felt like every member of the team wanted me to have a great time! They are very friendly and seem to have fun at work. The one error of the evening was that pulled pork was missed from my burger however I hadn't even picked up my napkin before it had arrived. Sooo quick!! Worth also saying they all still wore masks which I have a lot if time for! Gives a sense of security and safety. Location The exterior is like a small beer garden (which was nice on a clear evening) but it is rather unassuming as you walk up the street. Once inside there is a good vibe to the decoration and it feels genuine and warm without being overly tacky with the burger theme. The tables are nicely arranged and they seem to have achieved a sense of privacy even when sat in the centre of the restaurant next to the bar area (which is where we were). Price We had 2 incredible burgers, onion rings and 2 soft drinks for £36 *with a small tip added. I think that's great value! Soft drinks - £2.50 for unlimited drink Toppings - 90p each of 3 for £2.50 Side orders - £2.50 for a good portion

Food was very good and the staff were lovely. Venue was uncomfortable. Very small seats at the table with very little bum room or leg room. Really uncomfortable for a tall person.

This place was great for a bite to eat. The burgers are totally customisable and great value for money. The staff were attentive and the brownie dessert to die for. I would have rated 5 stars, however they only had a basic choice of meats when we visited (I was looking forward to Venison or similar). I would happily come back next time I'm in town.

Excellent place to eat burgers. I love the way you can assemble the burger of your choice. Service is fast & efficient, but not in your face & does not rush you. Prices are reasonable & its lovely to sit outside on a summer evening & watch the world go by. Will definitely go again.

Awful service take away. The forgot to put napkins, no ketchup, mayo... I paid for fries and there are not fries. Never again!
