Very tasty food, great quick service

This is some heavenly barbecue! We haven’t eaten inside but we always get a takeaway and it never disappoints. The meat is always so tender and full of flavour. My husband got the boxed meal that had the beef brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends. Ever since he had that, it’s all I order because the burnt ends and brisket are such a good mix of fatty and normal meat. It’s so addictive!

Good food worth traveling a bit for, brisket was amazing with some solid burnt ends, chicken was juicy, solid lunch all together.

You can litrally be the only person stood at the counter and still wait 10 minutes without being greeted whilst employees sing songs and craic jokes together. Whoever management is they need correct it. Its so unprofessional.

Got an xl box... definitely wasn't even large. Got a milk shake and a can of drink. Came to £28. Food was okay, dry burnt ends and no cheese in the mac n cheese but for nearly £30 you shouldn't expect to leave hungry.

Me and my mrs have been twice now, this time was the by far the worst! Unfortunately, we will not be coming back or do not recommend. After going in today for some food we both had meals including pork but later found ourselves having awful upset stomachs . Mrs has been in a state, vomiting since. We ordered the pork and beef box with pork loaded fries. Poor hygiene and was dirty upstairs with food not being cleared away or tables wiped down.

Such kind staff. Really good food - great portions and good price. Would come again.

Such friendly and helpful staff. From the girl who cleared our table to the staff behind the till. We did not have to wait long for our food, and when it came it was delicious.

It used to be amazing. It used to be great tasting food at a reasonable price. It used to be a full box of BBQ with healthy portions of meats and sides... Over the years it's gone down value wise. Now it's very expensive and small portions. Today is probably the last time I'll order for a while as the size of the portions were pathetic for how much I paid. Almost £20 for a BBQ Box and extra chicken thigh, yet it was probably the smallest box I've ever received from them. A very small amount of chips and slaw, barely any pulled pork, a super thin and short piece of brisket. Barely visible burnt ends. It filled about half the box and was massively disappointing. Today marks the day that Low and Slow dropped out of my Uber Eats favourites, and I just now consider it very expensive, so I'll be unlikely to order it much, if atall. Worth noting, the food still tastes great, the sauces are lovely, the BBQ meats are super tasty, and the sides are really nice. Purely the value for money which has caused my score to lower from a 5/5 to a 3/5. It's just not regularly worth it any more, a rare treat maybe.

May have been an off day but the food here is not good. Everything is either bland or just disturbingly sweet. From my experience, don't mess around and go to Spitfire Barbecue instead.

Ordered BBQ box XL with pit beans, gravy, and Mac n cheese. Pit beans had way too much dry herbs de Provence in there, gravy had far too much cornflour in it. Mac n cheese was good. All the meat was a bit flavourless and underseasoned. Staff were friendly and quick. Music was like motion on a Saturday night. Bit much. Left unfinished. Didn't take the leftovers away.

There are a good range of different meal options to choose from. The food is some of the best BBQ in Bristol. You seem to get bigger portions when dining in comparison to takeaway. The staff were also friendly.

We had a Barbecue Banquet. It was plenty for two and we were very satisfied with the quality and tenderness of the meat. It was exceptionally tasty and delicious. There was also plenty of chips and a decent fresh salad. The BBQ sauce is heavenly and for us not over strong. Just the right amount of spice. And the salted caramel shakes were out of this world. Always a reliable high quality choice for us to go for. And exceptional value for money. That’s why we are satisfied repeat customers. Image shown is only half of it.

Incredible BBQ, at insane prices. Happened to need to drive a 3hr round trip to Bristol. This food made it well worth the drive, I just wish there were one closer to me

Their online order service is excruciatingly slow. We've waited for hours, and we live just a mile away! They consistently skimp on the meat portions, always claiming it's out of stock. It's clear they're just profit-driven. Never gonna eat from this place again. 🤦‍♂️

Mediocre food. Not a good example of American barbecue. Like many other reviewers have said, the food lacks flavour, with everything tasting somewhat 'watered down'. I had the barbecue box with brisket, burnt ends and pulled pork. The meat was tender, but didn't have that concentrating of flavours (not just from seasoning but the meat itself) that smoking for hours should have given it. All the meats seemed to lack a proper crust, and the burnt ends was particularly disappointing given that this should have been the defining characteristic. Pulled pork was fine, as it's not usually as defined by the above. I did ask for 3 sauces, but then regretted it when I got a plate swimming in sauce. Mac & cheese is probably better named Meh (& cheese). I also don't understand the point of having some salad leaves in a barbecue box. Having lived in North Carolina for a year and having eaten barbecue regularly (of various styles), this was really disappointing. IMHO, Spitfire Barbecue on the Harbourside is a far better representation of what American barbecue is (admittedly at a higher price point but worth it).

To me, Boston Tea Party is the best cafe chain, and Whiteladies Road is the best Boston. Food, drink, service, atmosphere - all top notch. The coffee flavours and textures are expertly crafted, and Davey's coffee art adds an impressive finishing touch. My favourites on the food menu: vegetarian- sweetcorn hash; non-vegetarian - smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and avocado on sourdough toast; vegan - vegan muffin.

I waited for my order for over one hour. I called them, they said they were just running late and then after an hour and 20 minutes they cancelled my order.

Superb, tasty and generous food. Good wings too. Hot sauce could be a little hotter though :)

Nice food, but not quite the portion sizes I was expecting for their publicity. Especially as I had the BBQ Box XL. Fairly big, but not what I'd call XL.

First time ordered from here, as a recommendation. Had the bbq box with mac and cheese and seasoned fries, along with the brisket fries. I must say, it was well worth a visit. The food was absolutely delicious, very filling and overall very good size. Would definitely recommend to others and maybe come back another time.

One of the BEST COFFEES in Bristol. Davey takes pride and care in each and every drink he makes, and it really shows - delicious. Breakfast as always was great! Fab portion sizes, quick and friendly service and great quality. Overall a lovely experience.

Food is brilliant as always having been a long term customer for a couple of years but… on this occasion thought we would order on uber eats for collection to avoid the queue as typically the line of people has to wait as they treat uber as a priority which is how it has seemed since they began uber eats unfortunately. On this occasion we ordered 45 mins before collection. Was ordered and stated collection at 8.07 which was fine arrived bang on time but was not ready… fair enough but was not actually ready until asked by the chap behind the till if we had been served or what we’re waiting for then decided to plate it up… if the stated time is given then food should be made for collection at this time not left until you arrive and they do not ask/care about who you are. Uber collections cost the customer more for collection but thought it would be a convenience for us to not have to wait. But the whole line and around another 10-12 people and ordered had been processed whilst standing waiting like an idiot? So the one night we used uber eats it seems that it was not the priority that night! Deeply dissatisfied with this service especially for such long standing customer’s. An apology would of been nice but nothing was said or even offering a free drink etc for the poor service whilst costing me more money. Have emailed customer service with no response as expected! Poor customer service

This place is phenomenal. The food is out of this world. Amazing value, always amazing vibes… and don’t get me started on Joe… the man is a legend. I love this place.

This place use to serve huge portions and compared to what it is now is a joke, food is still good except the cheese in the mac and cheese was more like water. £20 doesn’t get you very far here anymore

I really wanted to love this place. Me and my boyfriend saw it hyped up on instagram and thought we’d give it a try. We were so disappointed. Out of all the bbq American style places we’ve been, this has to be the worst. The mac and cheese was revolting, like watery slop with no flavour at all. The wings were mediocre, the burnt ends were not burnt ends at all. Just dry lumps of beef. The food overall was cold apart from the chips which were actually hot. The seating area has no atmosphere but the staff were nice. We won’t be visiting again. Go to Bare Grills instead.

Ordered a takeaway that took an hour and a half to arrive. I get it’s Saturday night but that seems especially long. So the food arrived barely warm and looked like it had been sat for that long. Not much in the way of chips or salad but the chicken tasted good. Only wish it had been hot.

Recently moved to the area. Incredible coffee and the staff were so kind and friendly. I will definitely be back. Nice venue.

The coffee was delightful and the manager helped us navigate a table with space for a wheelchair. Nothing but excellent service all round and the scone was delicious. Highly recommend

Amazing food, great atmosphere, only slightly bad part was, they need a heater or something in the seating area, the door constantly open made for a chilly time, but the food more than made up for it.

Really angry. Join queue and they say they've run out of pork but I wait 20 mins to nearly reach front of queue when they then announce they've run out of every meat. Not only is that terrible to run out of meat at 7:15pm on a Saturday evening for prospective customers but probably enormous lost opportunity in revenue. Not a good way to run a business.

This place is great for an American feel and its service was excellent. Great staff who were willing to cook a new brisket for us in case we didn’t like the sauce on top. But the loaded fries had a really strong flavour which was overpowering and it wasn’t that great. But other than that , the food was good the house slaw,mac n cheese and the chicken were amazing I highly recommend them if you like American style food and the brisket was delicious.

I’d say this Boston has real cosy vibes. Delicious coffee, no taste of bitterness:) No screaming kids so that’s nice haha! Lovely and spacious. Service was really quick. Staff were really friendly. 10/10 experience. Shout out to all the staff!

Had the larger breakfast and an oat latte. Despite being very busy,both arrived in good time and were cooked excellently. Ordered the poached eggs over the scrambled and they were perfect Lovely atmosphere,staff were all polite. Would recommend

Not normally a BBQ man but took a chance here and was throughly impressed! Amazing fries and the beef melted in the mouth. Reasonably priced and large portions. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Just had the coleslaw but it had gone off. Such a shame as you can’t contact them

I think my expectations should have been lower.. I found this chain on Instagram, the restaurant i visited today wasn't what i expected. It's fast food almost 5 guys or subway kinda vibe .. the food was good to be fair but it is nothing like the insta page ...... the floor's where dangerously slippery ( whiteladies store ) my beef brisket wasn't hot salad was poor

Great place for food. Queue was out the door half way up the street when we arrived, however didn’t take long to go down. Service was great, staff were friendly, plenty of seating and food was delish!! Would highly recommend a visit here. It did not disappoint and the gravy was so tasty and the burnt ends YUM!!

Highly overrated. The meats were really tender, but the flavour was average. Most of the flavour came from the optional sauces add after cooking, which was just ok.

Terrible value for money. One of those experiences where we ordered more than we thought we needed but it turned out to be nowhere near enough. And the quality was poor.

The ‘Slow’ in ‘Low and Slow’ must refer to the service. Stood on a cold pavement for 20mins while a big queue didn’t budge. Priority seems to be given to the fleets of deliveroo scooters who turn up. Food used to be good, you just can’t get served any more, and the students aren’t even back yet. Went round the corner for something else where I could at least wait in the warm. Update: I picked up a curry instead, and had to walk back past Slow and Go. The family who’d stood behind me in the queue had only got as far as the front door, another 20mins after I’d given up! Sort it out!

Food was ok but in my opinion overpriced for what we got. The Pulled pork was on the dry side but the service was good.

If you need a protein boost then the meats here will be more than enough. The meat's a bit dry - the amount is about right for the price.

Firstly I would like to say the food was very tasty most of my gripes were about service. The staff were very friendly and asked us all the options we would like in our burgers but then forgot and asked again, and again, and again. The counter is open and so you can see your food being made, I saw four different members of staff all touch our food not one wearing food prep gloves or seen washing their hands! The food counter is also right in front of the open door so by the time the four members had finished manhandling our food both the burgers and chips were cold. The food was tasty but I would have enjoyed it more if it was hot and less “touched”

I travelled up to Bristol to take my daughter and friend out for lunch as they are students at Bristol University, so eating out is a treat! Having heard good reviews by word of mouth, the girls chose here. The venue was empty for it was just after lunchtime at 2ish, the Food was OK, and it was all quite cold, so obviously sat around for too long. macaroni cheese became tasteless and gelatinous, and the pulled pork was dry. We ate in, and the place was freezing too, so it was not enjoyable. The girls decanted into a takeaway box and took it back to the halls to warm it up and, I left mine. It was a shame and a letdown to a lovely day.

Ordered the munch box from uber eats which was nearly £50 after waiting for it to arrive when it did arrive we had a completely different order which had a price of £20, numerous attempts made to contact the store none which were successful, although the food that did arrive was nice it was not what me and my partner were waiting for and were left hungry and £50 worse off , very disappointed as the reviews were nothing but good.

A carnivore's paradise! This slow-cooked beef brisket restaurant exceeded expectations. If you crave quantity, the pulled meat burger is a heavyweight champion – packed with delicious, slow-cooked goodness. A must-try for meat enthusiasts!

Outside the States authentic BBQ is hard to find. Low & Slow in Bristol nailed it! The food was excellent, seasoned and spiced perfectly; we’ll be coming back every time we visit Bristol.

Quite a disappointing experience as a walk-in customer. We have now twice waited 20 minutes to get served despite there being a relatively small queue of 3 or 4 people. The reason for this is that this place massively prioritises Uber eats over customers who actually come to the store! Today was particularly disappointing as the shop did 8 takeaway orders, took one in the shop and then asked us to wait again. Maybe re evaluate your customer experience!

This place is so nice, staff are friendly and fast as well. BBQ fans need to run here. Only thing I’d change (which is completely personal so most probably like it) is the Mac cheese is quite runny and the pasta is cooked a little much so I found mines kind of mushed quickly in my mouth.. but the flavours are there! Defo worth the money.

Good food,very good prices,yes fast food and fast service ,quick squirt of sauce and made to feel ,that's your lot,nxt time I will speak up and ask for more ,only little grumble
