Arrived for dinner at 10 past 5, honestly had the most amazing burger, I’ve lived in the area for 6 years and the Asado burger is definitely one of my favourite. If you’re looking for a dirty (but not filthy) burger this is the place. The staff here make the experience, they want to be the #1 burger place in bristol, that means the put the effort in to make sure we get the best food. The chicken thigh burger = unreal, we shared they were that good we had to try each other's.

Came in and had a warm welcome, really friendly servers, treated us so lovely on our special day, Food 100/10 the burgers were so tasty and well cooked! Thanks for a lovely experience again, We will sure be back!

Absolutely delicious food! Lovely staff, the owner saw that my little one was getting abut fussy and brought his food out early which was so thoughtful. Also the chips were maybe the best chips I have ever had. Wonderful food, wonderful staff, wonderful vibe. Couldn't recommend more.

The best burger and beef fries, soooo good

If you're visiting or live in Bristol you can't miss out on going to Asado! The burgers were 10/10 (highly recommend the Asado burger!!), will 100% be coming back. Cocktails were phenomenal, cannot fault this place! Cheers to the whole team.

It was my first time ordering from Asado and I was very impressed! I had the Vegan El don which was amazing, it can be difficult to find a vegan burger that is tasty. The rosemary chips were absolutely perfect and complimented the bbq jackfruit so well. I definitely also recommend trying the croquetas too! All the food was packaged very well and all came like you'd expect to see it on the plate within the restaurant. I will definitely be a repeat customer! Thank you for a wonderful meal!

This was a great experience. Greeted by a charismatic, friendly and funny employee and quickly served a burger and chips. Burger was phenomenal and chips were nice. Only trepidation is price: I paid £15 for cheapest option but many were £17-£20. I would say still worth the cost

Visited with my girlfriend in which we shared burgers. The staff were very friendly and cut the burgers in half at our request so that we could try both of them easily. The flavours were good and place was nice and vibrant. Only issue is the wings were lacking in chicken and were overall disappointing. The prices were also quite high for what it was.

Fantastic food & service. The burgers are insane and full of flavour, cooked to perfection. We had the Gaucho & Pollo Fuego burger & parma fries - it didn’t disappoint. We tried the Morcella Nuggets which were black pudding balls with chimichurri and it was the best black pudding I’ve had in a long time. The basil mayo and blue cheese paired really well with the fries. I will definitely be back, I wish I had paid Asado a visit sooner!

A blast of flavours from people that really know what they are doing in the burger game. Went for the Gaucho with the Parma with added chicken fries… needless to say the quality of the food was exceptional and cooked to perfection… portion sizes were massive for a reasonable price. Great atmosphere with really welcoming staff… the only downside is that I didn’t find this place sooner. Solid.

Came in on Tuesday for a drink and a quick bite, both of the ladies working were super friendly and attentive what a great vibe! Will be back with a big group I’m sure, recommend to all Bristol folks :))

We got the classic Asado burger and the pollo libre. We were both happy with the burgers, tasted very good. The sodas were delicious too. A good complaint with the chicken burger was that there was too much chicken. Complaint for the beef burger was that there was too much sauce, it made it extremely messy to handle. We both wish that there was a cheaper alternative to just order a burger without chips. Not a big deal but they mixed up our chip orders, which I wouldn't have mentioned at all except for the fact that the server didn't write down our order.

GET THEE TO A BURGER COMPETITION! High end burgers right opposite the BRI. Were a mainly vegan party bar 1 and the Vegan El Don was an absolute killer for flavour. The meat eater was a man with a serious spice pallet and his eyes streamed with the Pollo Fuego (he regrets nothing). Very appropriate drinks selection. North Street Cider always compliments a nice smokey burger and the spicy margarita was a repeat order for the rest of the group! Hats off to the Asado crew, very strong contender for Bristol's best burger! seriously guys: get yourselves in the competitions and earn that's reward you deserve!

I had the El gaucho burger that lit up my taste buds & the mrs had the New Yorker …she loved it. A rare gem of a place & we look forward to returning soon.

Amazing experience at ASADO - friendly team who are passionate about good food! We had the Porky and the New Yorker with a side of wings, all arrived quickly and tasted incredible, at a reasonable price 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 Jordan was an excellent host, and ensured our meal was on point and kept our drinks flowing 🙌🏼 Definitely coming back to try the other burgers🎉

Great burgers, friendly helpful staff

We came here last night as a large table of eight for a birthday party. We had such a fabulous time! Asado has such a great, relaxed vibe. The menu has something for everyone, including vegetarians and vegans. I had the veggie Asado, which was absolutely delicious, together with some Parm fries. Meat-eaters can rejoice with a choice of beef, steak, pork or chicken burgers, all of which were enjoyed by our table. But wait! There's an epic choice of sides, such as croquettes, burnt ends, various homemade sauces, and fries upgrades. All plates were cleaned up! And if you're thirsty, you can get some fabulous cocktails (I had a passionfruit mojito), beers by the glass (or pitcher), plus wine and softies. We were looked after by Fonzy, who was super helpful and friendly, and helped us out with food recommendations. Catering for a big table must be tough, but he looked after us so well - thank you! There are a lot of burger places in Bristol these days, but Asado stood out for us and we will be returning.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Food was incredible. And a great mix of things on the menu. Really chilled atmosphere with super decent staff. The dancing chefs downstairs were a top attraction. We will absolutely visit here again!! 10/10

A good, but not excessively varied selection of burgers, each with crispy, well seasoned rosemary fries. The chicken wings were smoky and the meat fell off the bone. Nice selection of local craft beers. Music wasn't too loud, but gave a nice atmosphere. Honestly, my favourite thing about this place was the service. The staff are confident, polite, attentive and personable. When I descended the stairs to use the facilities, I came across the head chef - a sanguine, antipodean chap who was joyfully singing 'more than a woman to me' while seeing to his culinary tasks. It was a pleasure to see a man enjoying his work, and you can taste it in the food. The cocktails here are also very tasty and swiftly made, unlike some of Bristol's speak-easy establishments which take 20-25 minutes for a Manhattan. My friend and i felt very well taken care of and would highly recommend.

This has been my go to burger spot. I've raved about it to anyone where a burger conversation comes up but today was very disappointing. Ordered Asado wings to start they were not nice, seemed like they were boiled and tossed in sause. Not crispy at all. For mains I ordered the gaucho steak burger which is my favorite , £19 steak was very chewy and hard to pass . Chips were just average, no salt, bland. My partner got the don burger which was a pile of dry meats. We left feeling unsatisfied. We had a long day, were feeling drained so we werent bothered to say anything at the time. Staff was friendly so no complaints there. Not sure if we will be returning

Overpriced. £30 for burger chips and a drink that tasted like nothing special … not happy. VAT of almost £5 + service fee and tiny portion of dessert costing almost £5 too. Prices you’d expect dining in London, not Bristol.

Best burger in Bristol hands down. It’s the kind of meal that smacks you round the face with flavour and you’re totally in burger heaven. Much better than your average burger joint because of the attention to detail with flavours and textures. Wings are excellent too. Recommend

Came here with my friends and we were so excited as we’d heard amazing things. Unfortunately we were really disappointed. We booked quite a late table as we’d been to the cinema before and while we were eating they had started to close everything down around us and we felt like they really wanted us to leave, especially when the bill was placed on our table before we’d asked for it. I would suggest not allowing later table bookings if they don’t suit the staff. The burgers were what I would describe as okay- if they’d been about £5 cheaper maybe I wouldn’t have been so mad, but when you’re charging £18 for a burger i’m expecting quality service, atmosphere and food. My friend ordered the veggie burger but they bought her a vegan one instead, she said it was cold and the sauce was far too garlicky. Also the number of Uber Eats drivers coming in and out the front door right next to our table was very annoying and distracting! Our food took quite a while to come out and it definitely felt as though they were prioritising the Uber orders rather than the restaurant customers (bearing in mind there were only 2 tables including us). This is the first bad review I’ve left on Google in recent years and I’m sad it was for here because I had really high expectations and have heard amazing things- maybe we just came on a bad day.

Burger was delicious, but would be better to be able to order how you want it cooked. Also garlic cilantro fries had a super strong taste. Overall a great spot!

Been meaning to try for ages and glad that finally got the chance. The burger was excellent - I got the El Don, which had a very generous helping of pulled pork. They are quite pricey though and the chips were just ok. We only had a short time before our train and the food came very quickly, which was appreciated. Would visit again, next time I am in Bristol.

Portion size is good. I can only speak for the Asado Burger because it's so damn nice, which seems of great quality and I've yet to order one that has fatty sinew in it. My only quarrel, to which I do not think deserves a down vote but worth a mention for those ordering from Deliveroo: is that if you are ordering more than one burger and chips they still only add two pots of sauce, which is the same as if you were ordering for one person. (previous review) Meh, in the past few years I've ordered a few. They have missed items from my order probably the past 5 times and this is not an exaggeration. This has been a consistent issue, to the degree that I will not be re-ordering. -Edit, positive response from management regarding improvements and an apology

Very nice staff with a very good atmosphere. We had the el gaucho, first bite was very nice but burger became boring very fast with the last bite being very hard to swallow. It’s a nice experience but if going back definitely not ordering that burger again.

Incredible burger, amazing wings, crispy fries. The burger was so good, cooked medium, with a punchy confit garlic sauce - it was probably the perfect burger. Accompanied by crispy cooked fries. The wings were smoked, falling apart tender with a punchy hot sauce. Atmosphere is chilled and laid-back and service is extremely friendly.

What can't I say about this place, it was amazing! Friendly yet professional staff, Great drinks, Fries out of this world, Gorgeous dipping sauces all homemade, and the burgers.... Well they just speak for themselves - The best. In Bristol. Period.

Wow! Best burger restaurant in Bristol! Beef burger topped with sliced steak (El Gaucho) was everything you want from a burger...juicy and indulgent! The burger patty itself was flavoured well and clearly of the best quality. They also had chicken, veggie, vegan and kids burgers on the menu so there is something for everyone. Skin on fries equally enjoyable and crispy, and I love that they were included in the price of the burger because who is having a burger without fries? The venue is on the smaller side so best to book in advance, but that doesn't stop the great atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly, despite it being a very busy Friday night! Great tunes and cool interior! All in all highly recommend!

Genuinely the best burger I've ever had in my life! The owner was very knowledgeable, could even tell us where everything on the menu came from, and informed us that everything was made in house. The chimichurri mayo was SO good. Lovely atmosphere too, a lovely relaxing cosy meal whilst watching the rain outside. Couldn't recommend this place more!

I’ve eaten a lot a burgers in my life… and I mean a lot. But the “El Gaucho” is now firmly at the top spot. The red pepper chimichurri had a beautiful, deep smoky flavour which complimented the beef patty and steak. It’s outstanding! I mean, come on… steak on a burger… you do the math, that’s an instant hit! The levels were perfect, not too much of any single ingredient. The flavours and textures came together absolutely perfectly. The bun even managed to stay together as well! The pastrami is the best pastrami I’ve yet to have! Thick cuts that can only be rivalled by New York delis. The queso and beef fries were rich and delicious. I can’t fault anything at all, it is simply phenomenal!

Great food and service. Portion sizes were just right. Burger was tender, server even asked how we would like it cooked. Had stuffed Jalapeneo peppers with cheese which were deep fried, and the El Gaucho burger with beef top fries (as seen in the pictures). The resturant itself is cosy good cocktail range,ciders,beers and wines along with soft drinks too. Service was quick, staff are friendly.Over all price with 2 starters and 2 mains and 2 beverages £77. If your a burger lover its definatly worth a try!

First up, the food is great. The burgers are cooked right (medium rare, but you can have more cooked if you want), great toppings and sauces. Two of our party ordered veggie / vegan burgers and were very happy with them as well. And a nice selection of cocktails as well (I particularly liked the Mezcal Margherita). Secondly, the service was excellent. The manager and staff made a real effort to accommodate us when I came in to try and make a late booking, and the service on the night was very good as well despite they're being very busy. I really like this place. If you're in Bristol and want a burger, this is the place.

Very nice food and great service

On my search for the best burger in Bristol, Asado could not be missed. While this burger place (and most others of this caliber) will never disappoint with their quality, I find them to be quite different and because of this, ranking them is difficult. If I had to summarise Asado in one phrase, it would be "More like a steak dinner, than a burger". This doesn't mean it's good, or bad. Just different from other burgers of Bristol. The juicy medium dry aged steak goes really well with the garlicky sour sauce in the carefully toasted brioche buns. The fries were spot on too, soft, yet with a satisfying crisp on the outside. Service was excellent too, along with the atmosphere. Overall, STRICTLY in my opinion, Asado ranks second best in Bristol. - as of 17Feb24 If you're in Bristol and looking for fancy burgers with EXCELLENT service, then I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It was an experience. Will return x

Everything in this place is just 1000/10, the food, the service, the vibes. Best burgers in Bristol by a country mile, and the margaritas are mind blowingly good! Beware, you will need a lot of napkins and likely make a mess, but it's so worth it 🤤🤤🤤

You know you're onto a winner when your table for 2 has a stack of napkins for 20 people. It was the dirtiest burger I've had in a long time. You need to bottle and sell your pickled onions.

After having dined in Asado three times in the past, I decided to order on Uber Eats. Food arrived packaged well and still hot! The smoked beef croquettes were to die for. My personal favourite is the Asado burger - the chimichurri sauce works so well with their tender burger, it’s almost like a melt in your mouth steak. Absolutely brilliant!

Everything excellent! As I entered the restaurant three things stood out to me: the beautiful smells, the energising music and the endlessly welcoming smile of the server as he approached to take me to my table. This was all within the first few seconds of my experience and it just kept getting better. I was shown the menu, which has a fantastic selection that caters to all kinds of burger lovers, from the veggies to the chicken chompers and everything in between. It was all very reasonably priced, especially considering that every sandwich comes with chips. The specials sounded delicious, including the jalapeño poppers which I was told use a whole pepper for that extra crunch. However I was here for lunch and it was my first time so I opted for the “Asado Burger” and a coffee. I was given the option to have my burger served well done or juicy, so obviously went for juicy, and oh boy was it juicy! Along with the proper good confit garlic mayo and fabulously floral chimichurri (Spanish pesto), the perfectly cooked burger flaunted its juiciness in every bite. The coffee was made with Colombian beans which happen to be my favourite. It was creamy and at a perfect temperature to drink right away and again was served with a smile. If I had to say anything remotely critical it would be the small serving of garlic mayo that I received that didn’t quite last me through my chips and for the price, I would have expected a bit more. However I was left feeling perfectly full and ready for the rest of my day, feeling very happy to have supported a lovely business with a clear focus on bringing their customers only the best! We visited for my daughters 21st birthday. There were 10 of us, the service was excellent, nothing too much trouble. Our food came quickly and all together, which was great for such a large group. The burgers were outstanding, the best I've tasted. We had a variety on the table and everyone enjoyed them. Very reasonably priced at around £20 a head for burger, chips, slaw and a drink. Will definitely visit again

I had just dpent 5 hours in the hospital. The food took a little while to come, but it is all freshly cooked. The orange juice was in a massive glass too. The burger chips and coleslaw was delicious. It was a quiet night in the restaurant and the music level was perfect and really nice music playing. It was so welcome after the day I had. Definitely go there again if I'm over that way.

Utterly disappointing, cold flavourless completely unseasoned burger. Ordered the most expensive burger on the menu, the el gaucho. No sign of any chimichurri. A few tiny scabby bits of skirt steak, absolutely nothing like the burger pictured on the menu. Delivery guy only took 15 mins door to door but chips were stone cold. Pickled slaw left out altogether. Most surprising of all - the burger itself, although not overcooked, wasn't juicy at all. Couldn't believe how poor the quality was.
