Wimpy in Spelthorne

Not been to Wimpy for years but we really enjoyed it. We visited the Ashford branch and they have had a refurb, it was bright and spotlessly clean. Service was great and the food was lovely. We won't hesitate to return.

First wimpy visit since I was a child! Veggie food was great, and large portion size. Restaurant was so clean, was refreshing to see! Staff were super friendly and speedy service.

Decent breakfast, kids loved it. Staff were very helpful.

Nice fresh hot food. All day breakfast and a wrap for us both.

Was the first going to wimpy me and the children had never been before bit partner had, mum ordered us milkshakes which were nice but tasted a bit like the crusher milkshake which you can buy in the supermarket, the children loved there chicken strips chips and a drink, my partner loved his burger and chips mum loved her breakfast, I had a breakfast but wasn't too over keen on the bendy sausage maybe the option of a normal sausage would be a good for next time, we all had an ice cream sundae it was so tasty I can still taste it now.

Wimpy is always given a poor man's McDonald's vibe but for not much more you receive a large menu with a good variation can eat healthily! Fruit scones are delicious! Children or not cheap slap up meal with good service

OMG just like I remembered except better. Clean friendly great cheese burger beats Burger King and Mc D really good. Great staff proper meal not cardboard imitation.

Was very disappointed came to Ashford Surrey to visit my best friend.I thought it would be like the old wimpy bars.No fryed onions just a bog standard burger.No milk shakes.I had a cola float 😩 definitely not like I remember.Wont be going there again

Amazing Classic diner. Great burgers, but I believe the British breakfast is the best thing here. Lovely staff, nice and reasonable people and clean floors and tables.

Very clean, but could do with some local decor. It feels very impersonal almost motorway services canteen-like.

Only had takeaways but the food is banging!!! Seems expensive for fast food but worth the money for the quality! Two do the fellas working there are lovely too!!

Lovely lunch here. Both daughter and I enjoyed our food. 18month old son fed his to the floor. Floor seemed to enjoy. Lovely staff.

Its great just how i remembered from My youth. But were is the relish on the international grill i missed ghat.

I don’t live near a Wimpy so coming here was a real treat. Great food and such friendly and attentive staff. The staff were more than happy to adapt menu items (adding and removing ingredients), and service was very quick. Food is delicious- we had the breaded chicken burgers and some mozzarella sticks (which were perfect!), and brown derbys to end. Whole restaurant is incredibly clean too. Can’t wait to come back!

Very average and small milkshake at £4.15. I was expecting something a bit special for that money. Very disappointed. McDonald's are better and half the price 😞

It was pretty good. Clean place and good customer service. The burger was great and we had the bacon cheeseburger and chips and a banana milkshake. The shake was nice and thick and the burger was nice but the chips were not as exciting as I think they could have cooked a bit longer. Very nice meal after a movie.

Basically I don’t really care about the price, but the burger they give me was absolutely not fresh not cook smells Definitely not recommend it

Staff are polite, quick with service and helpful. The place is very clean, nicely decorated and spacious ... no sticky tables here!! The food is always presented and cooked well. The menu is actually quite extensive for a burger place. It may not be the cheapest .... but it always is pleasant to go there on our own or with the grandchildren for their treat !!

Absolutely terrible!! £11.45 for a cheeseburger and chips in Wimpy Ashford high st asked for cheeseburger with onion and tomato got only onion separate plate with tomato burger was cold in the middle sent it bk they reheated the same burger!! Definitely wouldn’t recommend it!! Didn’t get the choice of white or brown roil they just gave brown!! Roll was stale as you can see in the picture!!

This is my go-to place when I visit Ashford. It is spotlessly clean. The food is fabulous, freshly made and hot (it hasn't been sitting around) and the staff are friendly and welcoming.. I can't praise it highly enough!

Had a coffee which was nice. Service was good.

£14.45 for what's in the attached picture. Overpriced for what it is, no better than the local kebab shop which would be about 50% of the price.

Absolute disgraceful customer service, got ordered two burgers one come without the sauce or egg i specifically asked and paid for, also one portion of chips short. Would never go back robots behind the counter. Not only till staff but the manager also got my ice cream order totally wrong on purpose!! And laughed like i was the person in the wrong. Weird shop never go back unless i jave a sorn off down my trousers! Moral of story not giving a reaction is the real agenda in these covid clown franchises.

I don't have a wimpy near where I live, my Sister took me to visit. It was great and service was good.

Ordered the Wednesday meal deal and I have receive a horrible burger with 5 pieces of shredded salad, 1 single slice of tomato, and the cheese was stick between the bun end the meat. I've approached to the manager and his answer was: My friend, this is how we serve the burgers!!! I only eat the chips and I left the place hungry. Honestly, my friend... never again!

Years since I had last been to a Wimpy, nicely decked out and friendly staff. Kids enjoyed their chips and nuggets. For the price, my mega burger was a let down. Offered so much, but delivered so little - didn't enjoy the bender!

Enjoyable food with staff that are kind are willing to help. The Mega burger is my personal favourite and the food is always cooked to a very nice standard. My only gripe is the price to upgrade to a meal, which is an extra £5. This doesn’t spoil the restaurant, but is does put a dampener on the choice of eating here. All together it’s £13 with the meal and roughly £8 with the burger on its own. A good choice with the family and burger that you will be wanting to come back for.

This was a blast from the past! First time I've visited a Wimpy since I was a child and I have to admit, I was excited. Unfortunately, my trip was slightly disappointing. I ate the vegan burger which was delicious (the vegan options were decent full stop. Getting vegetarian/vegan fast food can prove tricky). I cant fault the burger, but I can fault the cost. Over £7 for the burger alone, and had to add another fiver to make it a meal (for a 7up to which they'd forgotten to add the syrup and a small portion of nondescript chips) which makes it a hefty £13 per person for a meal, which for this price, for me, should only be paid for the upper end of fast food. For that cost, the meal was far too basic, and I left feeling slightly ripped off. To add insult to injury, I was hungry again about an hour later.

Like little childhood memory re lived.

Best coffee in town! Lovely and clean inside, very friendly staff. My favourite place to chill.

Been looking for a Wimpy for years. I have now found it here in Ashford.. What a lovely place. Just how I remembered it back in the 70s.The menu is the same, if not better. Service is first class. I will be coming back again

One of the smartest, most updated Wimpy restaurants I’ve ever seen. Very clean and tidy premises indeed. Service was rapid and Quarter Pounder with Bacon and Fish Finger Burger were both very good indeed.

It is a long time since I've been to a wimpy (they aren't many left) we used to love a wimpy, not any more! Never again This will be the last time we go to a wimpy, the burgers were vile, they had a strange taste the tiny bit of I assume were meant to be fried onion were nothing like fried onion taste less, no red onion in the burgers as described in the menu. The coffee ☕ was equally horrible, more like dish water. Definitely NOT the original wimpy burger 🍔. A total waste of money. The burgers junction beside Ashford Station do lovely burgers where you can get lots of different fillings.

I've always enjoyed Wimpy, but haven't been for ages, so was pleasantly surprised to visit today and find the restaurant has been refurbished with new leather style booth seating and decor . Looks impeccably clean and fresh. The staff here are always attentive and polite. Call me old fashioned, but I do seem to enjoy my food more when eaten off a plate! Will definitely be back.

Other than being quite expensive The 2 main guys here have remained open & accommodating throughout this entire Coronavirus Nightmare since March 2020. Always polite & professional. Would definitely recommend.
