Great vegetarian and vegan options, speedy service and a lovely atmosphere! Our waiter Mario gave us some great suggestions and we'll definitely return :)

On a day out in Cambridge decided to try Byron’s. Fab meals , great service best of all 2 for 1 in burgers. Happy to recommend. Will be visiting again.

Great place to dine. To me, it’s the best burger place in Cambridge. And the stuff are very nice, too. Mario is a very professional waiter and an extremely friendly person. Sincerely recommend the place!

The burger is not very big, but tastes pretty good.

We wanted a snack and we were tempted by the offer of buy one burger and get a second free. The food was great and the service was fine. However i was surprised to be charged a service charge. This is 10% but this was 10% before the cost of the free burger was taken off the price, so in reality the service charge is 15% of the bill. Technically it is discretionary but they add this charge to the bill first and then you have to ask for it to taken off the bill. This is cheeky!! For that reason in the future i will go elsewhere.

Ordered Deliveroo totally inedible. Beyond burnt. All the chicken went in the bin. Contacted Deliveroo they said they would come back to us! Called the restaurant in Cambridge goes to BT call minder. No dinner tonight for kids thank you Byron’s!!!

Small Portions The portions are very small. I think it's the smallest among all of the Cambridge burger restaurants. The burger meat is very lean. Both the burgers and sides were not as hot as ED Diner and Smokeworks. Just slightly hotter than Honest Burgers. The price is not cheap in terms of potion size. The portions are so small that male adults may still be hungry afterwards. The restaurant was busy, but the environment and the toilets are still clean and tidy. The staff did a good job in maintaining the environment, even though during the rush hour of weekend. If you are lean meat lovers or weight cautious, this restaurant will tick all of your boxes.

I recently had a meal at a Byron where the service and food stood out. Mario, our server, was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience comfortable. The food was tasty, with a nice variety of flavors that appealed to our group. Everything was well-prepared and satisfying. Overall, we had a good time and would recommend checking it out, especially if you want decent service and enjoyable food.

Chosen by chance as we passed by. Friendly staff. The burgers were delicious, as were the French fries. We were served quickly & didn’t have to wait long for our order to appear. Definitely a good place to stop for a quick lunch.

Byron will never be disappointing I used to come here every Friday from college back in 2010-2011 even just for an Oreo cheesecake Food is great Staff has always been awesome Coming back here for smash burgers was nostalgic 10/10

Billboards outside are misleading! Advertising 2 for 1 proper burgers all day Monday and Tuesday. When we went to place order in restaurant waiter said this offer only applied if we ordered online. He couldn't explain why so we left restaurant after I told him his street board was very misleading.

Nice Burger Place, but whatever u do do not give your mail in the online form, they spam you for whatever reason.

The food was Awful I had to request that my chicken burger go back and another one get sent out it was so tough!!! The new one came out just as bad The Onion rings were so greasy none of us wanted them !!! sweet potato fries were awful just not a good meal at all what a waste of money ... This is without a doubt the worst Byron restaurant we have ever been into before sadly .

The vegan chicken burger is really good. During lunch they have a good deal with main and a side.

Nice burgers. Nice salad. Sweet potato fries were warm. Problem with service is we had to pay before we had the food. 12.5% service charge was added - before we had really experienced it. I think that is unethical. Also - had the vegan burger. It was smaller than the normal burger - and cost £1 more. @Byron please explain these two unethical practices!

Filthy bathrooms (male & female). Dirty nappies on the floor, treacherous disgusting greasy floors between restaurant & bathroom. No wonder they make you pay in advance when you order. Empty restaurant & we waited 30 minutes for our 'food'. And what was delivered was less than mediocre. Used to be a reasonable place. Now truly awful. Have many times enjoyed Byron as reliable but after this experience will never go there again.

We used to visit here every time we were in Cambridge because the medium cooked burgers were so good. They've changed recently and all burgers come out well done - no choice anymore. Not sure if they've been made to do that for some reason but it's just not the same. Byron - if you have any control over this, please go back to the old burgers!

Amazing burgers for good price. Service excellent. The sweet potato fries would phenomenal , and the actual burger patties themselevs were of the best quality. Would recommend.

Such a shame. The burger quality has dropped massively. We have been coming here for 8 years now and always looked forward to the burgers. This time, we did not like it at all. When ordering, the waiter didn't ask how we want the meat cooked which is an indication that the meat might be frozen. When we mentioned it, he said they changed provider and the provider recommends cooking the burgers to well done. When the burger arrived, it was the saddest plate I have seen in a long time. They did not just change meat provider, they also changed the bun. It was horrible. I am sorry to say, but the burger is not edible. We chose the cheese burger.

No idea about the food at the moment. Just spent twenty minutes trying to order food on the phone app as they require on their new ordering system. After using two latest model iPhones to try, we got almost there and failed at the payment stage. Ended up calling over one of the members of staff who was very helpful but it doesn’t stop my absolute annoyance at this requirement to use an app when there are helpful members of staff around. This was my first time at Byron’s and unless the ordering goes to being human I won’t be back. Management - don’t try and cut the costs to this ridiculous extent. Had the same experience at one other restaurant in the past and I haven’t been back there either.

American diner style eatery. Top quality hamburger with tasty relish and a good bunch of guys on service. Clean and well kept - QR table order or the staff will take it manually if preferred - price point a touch high but worth it 👌

Hanging out at Byron on a hot Cambridge day was perfect. The peach iced tea and chocolate sundae were just what we needed. The staff were really friendly and even suggested getting the sundae extra icy after the main – which was a great call! We customized our burgers too, which was fun. Definitely a spot we’ll return to."

On a hot day this is one of the most soothing dining experiences in Cambridge. The burgers are nothing but perfection, and when coupled with a sundae, it is magnificent.

The food is good. Sadly, more often than not, they forget to put it all in the bag and items are missing, so you won’t get to try the food anyway.

I really love the burgers here! An amazing selection for veggie/vegans . Really spoilt for choice! We ordered for delivery to our hotel and it came in decent time and was hot and tasted amazing. Easily the best veggie burgers I've had to date 🤤

We as older diner's (67 years old) struggled with the food ordered system (QR code). But your waiter was very helpful, and helped loads.

Ordered the cheeseburger - simple but one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Just the perfect amount of mustard, ketchup, cheese. Would definitely go again.

Ordering through the app takes too long.

Normally been a Byron fan but the food was very average, and the wait time was very long. Staff weren’t particularly helpful and seemed grumpy. Left feeling disappointed and annoyed.

We came here for lunch on a Tuesday with what appeared to be plenty of space inside and ended up waiting for 35 mins before food decided to turn up. Food was ok, but came across as McDonald's tier and Deliveroo orders seemed to take priority. We chose this place partly because we had kids and thought we knew what to expect, but I wouldn't recommend going to this branch if you have any hard stops on time, or children.

Previously a good experience this time around far less family friendly. Seems our waiter did not like children and made it a point to be rude to my son, very disturbing to see a grown man showing such irritation towards a 9 year old child. We were sat just a meter from their counter where 3 waiters were having an inappropriate conversation and laughing very loudly. We chose to visit again as my son remembered a great birthday meal here however this time around we only looked forward to paying the bill and leaving.

I’ve just had the best burger in my life. It was amazing. I’ve ordered the bbq chicken burger and my husband has ordered the smokey burger. Their sweet potato fries was phenomenal as well. Just go and try this restaurant, dont forget to thank me later

Our burgers were delicious. The sauces were unique and really added something extra to the already good burgers. The onion rings were good; they just needed to be cooked a tad longer.

We really enjoy coming here, especially with my allergies as they are so well catered for (dairy and gluten and meat free). The service tends to ask for you to order on your phone, which means you can pay there and then and usually it doesn’t take long for food to come out. We have had it however in certain spots of the restaurant where we needed to connect to WiFi as there was no service. This was then very slow and difficult to order with. Nonetheless, the staff are very kind and helpful. In regards to the atmosphere, it is nice and got a nice vibe. Nothing too special but definitely nothing negative about it. As I mentioned, the food is unreal. It’s amazing for non-allergy people who like beef and chicken, but also very good for allergy people with vegan options or grilled chicken options for my gluten free peeps and all sorts. I would recommend.

One of the best burgers I ever had

Very average burgers and chicken burgers, underseasoned and greasy. The smash burger patties were just two half sized patties, a bit limp and tasteless rather than smashed thin and grilled. The onion rings drowned in oil in their dish. We paid over £50 for two burgers, fries, onion rings and 2 drinks, which felt pretty steep for the quality. There are many better burger places around Cambridge so seek those out instead.

The beef burger is delicious 👌🏻 and the sweet and regular potatoes are delicious 👍🏻 And the service is wonderful

Absolutely delicious burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was made with incredibly good meat. Their customization options made ordering easy for someone with dietary restrictions.

Not cheap but quite possibly one of the nicest burgers I've ever had. Friendly service, clean, and prompt. It didn't look like a £25 meal but was so good. I was genuinely sorry it was over. I may visit again tomorrow 😊

Me and my husband love burgers and Byron didn't disappoint, we went for lunch during the week. I ordered the lunch cheeseburger which came with a soft drink and fries. Husband ordered a double bacon cheese burger from the Proper burgers part of the menu and his drink and fries separately. In addition I ordered a portion of onion rings which were crispy and had a lovely crunch to them. And buffalo wings with ranch dipping sauce, these were nice too. Started eating before the wings arrived, that’s why they weren’t included in the photo lol! Everyone who served us on the day were super, ordering food was straight forward. All we had to do was scan the QR code order our food on the website and everything worked perfectly. Tasty food and good vibes, will go again for an occasion only though. Couldn't afford it on every outing lol!

After a punt on the river took a punt on Byrons proper burgers. I have to say i have been and ate a lot of burgers and this rated in my top 3. I had Byron my partner had a classic chicken. The only thing missing was a line outside. I highly recommend

Genuinely such little care from the staff, all they did was chat and spend time on their phones, and get orders wrong. I heard them arguing several times about it. We waited so long for someone to take our order, we eventually used the app, only just before clicking ‘order’ the waitress came over. Total 45 minute wait for food. A lot of food was sat on the pass while the waitress was chatting to her friends, kitchen staff ended up taking food to tables because she was preoccupied. I’ll just add, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all - another couple even tried to order and the waitress told them to wait, they ended up walking out! Although the burger was nice, we won’t be returning.

Don't much care for the ordering process. Via app. Atmosphere feels a bit sterile because you're not talking to the server. Good was perfectly acceptable and fairly priced. Probably won't go back.

Went into the Cambridge branch almost on the off chance. Brilliant decision! Staff friendly and attentive, best burger I have eaten for a very long time. Definitely worth a revisit. Only down side is that hard surfaces make for a noisy environment.

Despite advertising that their burgers are halal, there have been reports indicating that pork has been found in some of their products. As such, it is recommended that you inquire about the meat used in their burgers before making your purchase to avoid any potential issues.

Went on Saturday lunchtime and got in before it got packed. Since our last visit, they want you to order on a phone app. In theory, great, but none of us could get any signal. In the end, we had to resort to the old fashioned way and give our order to the waiter. Burgers were good and we shared chips and potato tots. Friendly waiters

Got any allergies?? These guys will ask you multiples times just to make sure. We had multiple waiters ask us of we want anything else .. I think it was because it was a quiet lunch time. Could have been a little more hands off but appreciated their efforts. Burgers were awesome as always. And felt nice to be looked after.
