The Olive in Barnby Dun: A Hidden Gem with Great Potential I recently visited The Olive in Barnby Dun, and despite some recent challenges, I believe this pub has a lot to offer. We visited on a Monday night and had the place to ourselves, which made for a quiet evening. However, this pub has real potential to become a bustling local favourite. The food at The Olive is decent, but with a few tweaks, it could be fantastic. The pizza could benefit from a Neapolitan approach, and introducing smashed burgers with the option to double up could be a big hit with guests. One of the highlights of our visit was the excellent service. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which was a refreshing change and a sign of better times ahead. The outside area could use some attention, but with a bit of effort, it could become a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Overall, The Olive has the potential to shine as a great local pub. With some improvements to the menu and the outdoor space, it could easily become a favourite spot for locals and visitors alike.

Food is amazing, great selection, a lot of seating, fast and friendly service and the seasoning they put on the chips is immaculate, even better than nandos. top 5 chicken chips places to go to.

The food is always great at Ergon, especially their weekday lunch specials. Staff is friendly too. I always send people here!

We wanted to try this branch for a long time went to the till no greeting or smile carried on with order 2 cakes 2 coffees which took an earth to come apparently something wrong with Grinder sat down to weak watery latte that honestly tasted of hot watery milk I don't think any coffee was present £3.75 for this small joy!! I went back the manager came out said did I want another no thanks she did say it looked bad and gave refund but why did she serve it?? Never again daylight robbery so many other places to pick from no wonder this chain is failing!!!!

Delicious Greek food - yum yum! We had a power cut last night near Skinningrove and so could not cook our prepared food for dinner. Hubby braved driving out looking for a take away and ended up in Guisborough as there was nowhere more local able to accept card payment (as he had no cash and all their card machines were also down) What a tasty surprise! The lamb and chicken kebabs, served with perfectly cooked fries (salad side and garlic mayo) were the best we’ve tasted from our surrounding villages. A great find and purely by chance - will definitely go for take away again from here.

Encontramos este restaurante excepcional mientras nos alojamos cerca y reservamos una mesa al pasar. El restaurante tiene una sensación encantadora y la comida es tan buena! Muy recomendable. Fuimos atendidos por Bruna que nos cuidó y sugirió opciones de una manera muy amable - una estrella total! No podemos hablar más del equipo. Pedimos ver al propietario que era de nuevo realmente genial, para hacerle saber lo especial que ha sido nuestra experiencia. No puedo esperar a volver.

Definitely the best gyro I have had in Hull. Tortilla gyro, chips separate. My friend had a cheese burger which was juicy and tasty, the meat wasnt ground but coarse minced so it made a far better patty

Restaurante tiene una asociación con un youtuber que quiere ser noticia. Fui con mi hija y mi compañero con su hijo de 10 años. Estamos expuestos, amenazados y sin comer. Solía ser un buen lugar que usábamos regularmente. Nunca más. ¡No vayas aquí!

Absolutely disgusting lamb shish, which isn’t lamb as not even cubes and tastes of just salt and spice! Disgusting for price they charging and even charge a pound for a tiny pot of sauce after spending 22.50 unbelievable!
