Athena Gyros in Kingston upon Hull, City of

Definitely the best gyro I have had in Hull. Tortilla gyro, chips separate. My friend had a cheese burger which was juicy and tasty, the meat wasnt ground but coarse minced so it made a far better patty

We had an awesome meal from Athena No 10! The Chicken Gyros was a flavour explosion. It tasted so good. We also had the Garlic Tomato Bread with Pesto....we would order from here again just for that! I think next time I'll have to order a separate one as my wife seemed to have more than her fair share. We would defo order from here again......and will do so soon!

Ordered 2 gyros with rice and chips ...was very disappointed when my delivery came and it was just 2 chicken kebabs no bread,rice was boiled and very bland with chip spice on the top of it .....for £20 for 2 and 1 potion of chips it’s very expensive I could of ordered from a pizza shop at half the price.....won’t be ordering again

My daughter ordered two wraps and chicken nuggets for my grandson.. When it arrived the wraps were dripping in oil and the 3 chicken nuggets they sent for £5 were so hard we couldnt even break them up... They must have been cooked and left for hours... She rang up to compkain and he has just put the telephone down on her... Discusting food Discusting customer service

This place has the best chicken gyros I have found in Hull or nearby towns, it really is that good. The staff are friendly and helpful, the service is good and the prices are excellent. Most definitely worth a visit and I will return again and again.

My wife found Athena Gyros online as we wanted a taste we haven't had since last in our favorite Gyro place in Holland. Our expectations where exceeded. Also it was good value for the money. Will be visiting again.

Pizza fantastic. Great thin base , lovely flavour fresh toppings. Lots of sauce to go with. Onion rings perfectly done nice and crispy. Cheesy Chips however were cold and not much cheese on. Delivery was odd, got a message saying it had being delayed by 30 mins so was quite annoyed then it arrived at original time.

Had to wait 2 and a half hours for my food it came stone cold, tried to sort it out and nothing happened. Will not be ordering again

Food was cold tasteless small meal was supposed to be a large meal not enough garlic mayo for the price nowhere near as good a quality not sure if I will be ordering again!

Quick delivery, friendly delivery guy. Knysza Gyros is amazing from here, but the chips weren't very nice.

Would have been better if they had put the extra pepperoni on that I paid for. But I was so hungry o couldn't wait another 30min for it to be sorted :(

£1.70 for the tiniest tub of American chip spice thought I was buying a full tub like in the shops. Chicken wasn't bbq but spicey and couldn't eat. chips in edible. Pizza was very nice.

The food gone downhill recently, we've been consistently getting much smaller portions of meat, the chips are hard and dry, disgusting. The driver doesn't even bother to bring to food up. Will not order again.

I,v visited this place on Saturday afternoon. My order was take away for almost £20 pounds. No comment...when I opened it in home..it looked like It had come from the bin!! Traditional tostini with mushrooms and cheap cheese was definitely from ,,Farm foods ...cost not more than 0.50 p!! Tastless, Disgusting, Uneatable!! I put immediately to the bin! Fries cold and dry!! Garlic sauce..95%water ,knysza gyros was looking like puke and taste was the same... I have a chill just thinking about eating this food!! Just a total waste of money. Never,never,never ever again!!!

The meat was lovely but the chips had no potato in them - you could break them in half like sticks. It would be useful to have a description of what food items contain on the justeat menu.

We ordered from Athena gyros expecting some authentic Greek food...ordered the stuffed vine leaves which ended up been peppers stuffed with savoury rice and a tiny amount of mince, the rice that came with the kofta was cold and the large gyros we ordered was mainly salad...it was a disappointing meal and we won't be ordering again...on the plus side the meal did arrive 15minutes earlier than expected.

Horrible large gyros for £6.50 ! will never ever order again .. couldn't eat it .. paid for it more than for 10'' pizza .. so annoying !!

Think this place must've changed hands recently as it was miles away from what I've had before from here. Gyros didn't have any sauces on it (usually tzatiki) I ordered two cans of Fanta and only received one. Weirdest bit was I ordered bolognese and chips and what turned up was chips with mince meat on top, no bolognese sauce, just dry mincemeat, just absolutely odd to be honest

First time ordering from Athena, we ordered the large chicken gyros and garlic and herb dough balls. Good portion sizes, the chicken was really tasty, you would need a sauce because it's quite meaty and dry. Pleasant service too. Would go again and try something different.

Not happy at all asked for no onion or mushrooms on the pizza on the order and also called the shop to check they had seen it and my pizza still turned up with them on....it went in the bin a total waste of money will not use again

Don't get it! 2 hours down the line and still waiting!! Had to get just eat to give them a good ticking off and still expected to be another half hour yet!! Food doesn't matter as it will be cold and I will have gone out to work!!!! Not just me by the looks of it who has had this bad service

Took Nearly 2 hours to arrive. Chips were stale, cold and carboardy. Gyros was cold and dry. Salad was very wiltered. Guessing its been in a car for the past hour. Very disappointed. will think twice before using again

Stone COLD pizza. ... also "NEWSFLASH" tortilla wraps are NOT nan bread so correct your menu.

Food okay but pizza cold on arrival. Service is awful took around 1 hour 30 to delivery! Rang up to check after an hour had passed and girl who answer was quite abrupt when i enquired about my order and just said we been very busy and on the way and hook up.

Really nice food, will probably order as a wrap next time though as I didn't realise that a gyros came without a wrap.. but really enjoyed it regardless! Recommend.

Just eat app said food was delivered but hadn't arrived, when I phoned staff couldn't understand me properly, food was okay.

Gyros was perfect!!. Chicken strips were over cooked and greasy.

Ordered first time because I fancied something new and was pleasantly surprised. Food was very good and quick delivery.

Initially added 30 mins to our order (which made it an hour) and was still 20 minutes late after that. No offer of free drinks or a discount (paid cash). They also didn't have an item requested although that is slightly more forgivable.

The food was nice. However it was disappointing as it was falling outside of the delivery box. Cans of coke were covered in oil and one of the cans looked full of fizz as the top was popped out. I guess delivery driver wasn't careful which was the biggest disappointment as I had to get the food outside of the boxes and sort it all out and clean the cans before even starting my meal...

Food was decent as always, delivery driver was a cheeky git as always too though, my order came to £9.10 but she just said £10, even though I was going to give her the tenner regardless, it would have been nice to not feel cheated out of it haha

This is the first time that I've ever had to put a delivery in the microwave , because it arrived stone cold. I didn't bother ringing back as I didn't want to wait another hour. Late and cold, maybe they need to look at their delivery drivers. I've eaten in the premises lots of times and it's been fine, but sorry I will never again order a delivery.

Gyros is one of our favourite take always so we thought we would give Athena a try. We went in and ordered 2 chicken gyros in pitta and fries to take out, there appeared to be a miss understanding as we were presented with 2 x 12" pepperoni pizzas.....your guess is as good as mine as to how this happened but it was rectified quickly and on our way we went...including the pizzas cooked by mistake F.O.C! The chicken gyros were the best we have tasted by far, the portions are huge.....I dread to think the size of the large! Chicken was well flavoured and tender, highly recommended. The fries were super skinny, I'm not keen on them but as my husband pointed out....half the size: half the calories. Silver lining..... We will return and may eat in next time, a few people were eating in an the food presented looked lovely.

I write this sat in the restaurant, I had to come back to Hull, so I thought of this place for my lunch first, but having just finished, it's gone downhill. Yes, they still do fantastic Gyros, but the attitude of the owner is now worse than ever before. This used to be a great little place, but now portions have got smaller and food is now served like warm. Think it's back to Jerichos next time! BTW, proof that they serve real Gyros is in the pic. Fresh skewer just put on!

Great food at a reasonable price. It is what it is: pizza, kebab and chicken. Has delicious looking tostini's as well. The place is nice and clean with a great option to sit and eat in rather than takeaway. Staff are also great!! All in all a good, quick, cheap experience.

Found a very small chicken bone inside my food. Chips were so cold. And just felt the chicken wasn't cooked properly. Used to order from here a while ago and was so nice but definitely gone down hill. Couldn't eat it was put off

I ordered at 7:30pm, I got a confirmation email at 8:11pm and food was delivered at 9:15pm. When i called to ask what is going on, they lady said the delay was just-eat website's fault. I ordered coca-cola 0.5l, they sent Mecca-Cola 1.5l without notifying me first. Food wasn't very good either.

Apalling service, after waiting for 90 minutes with no food, we rang to see what was happening, to then be told 'we had 2 tickets and no telephone number so we haven't cooked it' no apology, surely you could have got in touch with the guys at just eat who then could have called us on our contact number, we've never had this issue with any other takeaway we've used on here. Very disappointing especially with 2 hungry nagging children waiting for their food ordered in good faith. Will never use this take away again due to the terrible manner in which this was dealt with, whatever happened to customer service... horrendous telephone manner.

The prices at this place are so reasonable for what you get. If you fancy a not so greasy, healthier tasting takeaway then I would definitely recommend this place. Stonebaked with fresh ingredients - they even sell freshly squeezed orange juice! Definitely worth a visit.
