Great food , freshly cooked, ,great choice, nicely presrnted.an altogether lovely family who always make us feel really welcome.

The food is good but what really makes this place so great is how friendly the waiters are, and this is really not common in London. Keep up the good work. It's lovely every time.

Encontré este restaurante mientras esperábamos nuestro tren desde la estación de Paddington. Parecía una preciosa joya escondida en las primeras impresiones. Nos sentamos y nos presentaron un menú bonito con una gran elección. Nos encanta la comida griega / chipriota y, a menudo, la comemos, pero esto era algo más. Para los principiantes, el hallomi era insípido y elástico, y los platos principales se enviaban de regreso, no aptos para ser entregados a un animal y mucho menos a un humano. Il locale non è particolarmente curato. Anzi, in zona bagni anche un pò sporco. Ho preso una mousaka vegetariana anche buona. Ma spendere per una pietanza del genere 17 euro, mi sembra eccessivo. E ci fosse stato uno, dico uno, sorriso.

Delusione totale, cucina approssimativa, servizio pessimo non tanto per la signora che serviva ai tavoli quanto per il presunto titolare, burbero e senza modo, che lanciava quasi i piatti sulla tavola. La cucina era talmente buona che sinceramente non mi ricordo neanche più cosa ho mangiato, ma non era greco, poteva essere qualsiasi altra cosa. Conto salatissimo, serata non proprio azzeccata. Non lo consiglio.

There is something not quite right here I think. Food was fine, nothing special but not awful, wine actually quite nice. Service was good but the owners behaviour is like nothing I have witnessed before. Sat at a table for the whole evening, watching everything and giving orders to the one person who was working. He grabbed the hand of the waitress at one point and repeatedly kissed her hand whilst watching me (dining alone) I could see her flinching when this was happening. This is my observation and I could have read it incorrectly. Plus there was a picture of the owner with Boris Johnson so that was the final straw for me.

Trevlig liten grekisk restaurang och sen kvällsmat. Vi åt bland annat grekisk sallad och lamm. Vi var kvar till stängning.

Very close to Paddington station. The resturant gave complimentry Bread & Dips and also fresh fruit to finish. The Moussaka was homemade and was garnished with salad. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Reasonably priced considering the location.

Great service and excellent food, very authentic and absolutely delicious . Came back for a second night and it was just as great! Ordered the Mixed Kebab and it was phenomenal! Also appreciate that they give you a free starter of pita and free dessert of fresh fruit. Best Greek restaurant around!

I live in Wales and I eat at Kolossi each time I come to London. I've been doing this for 6-7 years. The food is fresh, tasty and simple with no added sauces or spices meant to disguise out of date ingredients.Last week I had a delicious grilled seabass with chips and salad, £16.50.This included a free starter(a bit like Spanish tapas) and a free fruit salad for desert. The owner is always, always there watching everything and making sure nobody leaves disappointed. It is almost like visiting an old friend. No surprises, no mix ups, no long waitings, just the same tasty food and familiar faces.

Rude service and overpriced food

Very rude staff member serving. Food was mediocre and expensive. After ordering coffee we were told there was none available! We were not allowed to pay for our food separately and we were spoken to rudely throughout the meal. All in all I would say don't bother to come here. There were no other diners at the restaurant except one other couple who left early.

This is a restaurant close to Paddington station. It is not very busy. You set a complementary pitta with some dips which I did not recognise and some raw carrots. I had the mousaka which was OK. There is no wine or beer menu. I was never asked how my meal was or if I wanted dessert or coffee. Instead I was served a plate of fresh fruit. The menu is a mixture of Greek and Italian. There is American music playing in the background. The receipt is hand written and unreadable - I am not sure it is legal.

Place was almost full, food average, staff friendly

We went here because it was just around the corner from our hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient, took our order and served it very promptly. The food was fresh & well presented

This restaurant was a great find. All of the food was great. Calamari "fried" (it's not really fried) and the Hoummos to start off along with the pita and sauce dip plus a small plate of carrots, olives, and peppers (these were included). They have basically no wine/beer selection (house/Greek only). Most of us had the Kabab sampler which 3 types of lamb - ALL were really good. They followed up desert plate of fruit and a few baklava samples (also all included). The staff and I am guessing owner were very attentive, friendly and fun. I would highly recommend this place. Also, they had the least expensive meal we've had...by at least half. Also, also they don't take Amex.

Nice touches, nibble plate to start and fresh fruit plate to finish , good, friendly service. Had hommus to start, maybe little lacking in taste. Chicken wings cooked perfectly.

We went here for dinner and arrived relatively early after which the place filled up.

We found this place whilst staying nearby and I'm glad we chose here out if all the other places on the street. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly with complimentary dips and pitta bread on arrival. The kids could choose from the main dishes to get half sizes so not limited to kids menu. We chose a selection of starters for the adults to share as well as s Greek salad and they were all lovely with the calamari being especially nice. After our meal we were brought a complimentary plate of fruit. The service was spot on with nothing being too much for the staff. Would definitely return next time we're in the area

Dejlig mad og der var smil og hygge om os. Der var plads til at tage billeder af os og spørge om vi var tilfredse med maden. Vi var begge ovenud tilfredse og gik mætte derfra.

After checking in the hotel, it was 3pm in the afternoon. There was no one in this restaurant, but I wanted Greek food! LOL Then I was greeted by a friendly young waitress and guided to sit down. After ordering my favourite salmon dish, I was surprised to find out the starter was complimentary. So while I was waiting for my main dish, I was enjoying the starter. Hmmm, I was quite hungry at the time, forgot to take photo of the starter until several slices of carrots down in my stomach...LOL

We wanted a light dinner. Splitting some plates. Got hummus, salad, wine, moussaka. Quote nice. A small complimentary appetizer and fruit dessert were pleasant surprises. Nice staff. Enjoyed it.

Decent food, but the proprietor's behavior was appalling for a simple clarification

If you like the Faulty Tower Egyptian Style experience this is the restaurant for you. The Egyptian waiter was inattentive and rude. While taking our order he kept looking outside, hence, we didn't receive our starter. The bread was just thrown on the table. The relationship between the waiter and his lovely polite waitress was very uncomfortable to watch. In one hand he was rude to her and when she was upset he kept kissing her. He also kept shouted at the kitchen staff. When the food arrived, the fish was excellent but my husband's so called stow was good but in a very small portion. We will not come back

Absolutely fantastic. Pleasant staff and lovely place. We had the mezze for two and it was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this place

We went in as the lunch offer looked reasonable but it was a big mistake. The service was terrible and the food bland. Our server threw down the menus, refused to give us a glass of tap water, and even claimed the toilets were closed between 1-2pm. I’m not sure how this place is still open. Avoid it if you can!

Despite having their food charges almost the same as those of Italian restaurants in the UK, I did not enjoy eating its seabream. The oil used to grill the fish had an unpleasant taste (as opposed to the olive oil used by Italian restaurants) and there were lots of bones (in other words, the whole fish appeared without de-boning, and this included the fish head). One big bone was stuck in the soft palate of my mouth even though I exercised extreme precaution while eating the fish. When my bill arrived, I was surprised to see an amount of 10% being automatically added to the total amount, which means there is no way for customers to tip according to their food quality and services. I was even more surprised that, despite the fact that the Kolossi charges such a high price for its food, they did not give me a proper receipt from the till but a hand-written one (scribbling only). Even after paying my bill in cash (I gave them an extra 10p on top of the total amount), they still did not give me a final receipt. I think I will not dine at Greek restaurants anymore and will be loyal to the Italian ones instead.

Cucina buona (nello specifico, agnello), anche se con una presentazione che lascia completamente a desiderare. Il contorno era molto povero, essendo un insalatina giallognola e 3 patate. Il prezzo è piuttosto elevato per quanto servito, ma apprezzabile è che venga dato un piatto appena seduti con Pita, olive e 2 salse. Il proprietario è un tiranno che ordina ai suoi camerieri ogni singola cosa e che deve avere l'ultima parola su tutto, anche con il cliente.

Service was bad, the gentleman who waited on us seemed quite put out to serve us. Food was bland and not fresh. Also, there was a cockroach or something in the bathrooms.

We kozen de mezze en waren tevreden met de variëteit, de hoeveelheid en de smaak van de gerechten. De bediening is correct, functioneel en klantgericht (extra's die op tafel komen zoals vers fruit). De prijzen zijn hier redelijk. De inrichting van het restaurant is eenvoudig.

El camarero no es agradable. Comida sabrosa no sin hierbas, patatas viejas. Yo tenía un bistec que era gris. Mi marido comió mezclado meatplate pero era sparly con carne. Los calamares para nuestro hijo no eran sabrosas y tenía una cadena alrededor de ellos. A altos precios para tales alimentos.

AVOID it! Awful service. Rude owner. Very bad way of treating the waiter and the guests. Despite the restaurant sais is Greek, is NOT. Very bad experience there.

We popped into kolossis for their lunchtime special £10.75 for a varied choice. When we walked in it appeared no one was in attendance. Then a man who was sitting at a table chatting got up and pointed at the nearest table for us to sit down. He then brought us menus, however no mention of the lunchtime special. He then started clearing away dishes from the table next to us. I tried to get his attention several times then he realised and without moving from the spot asked what I wanted. I asked if the lunchtime menu was in and he just nodded. So I asked if he had the menu. “It’s on the board outside” was the response. I haven’t got telescopic vision or a brilliant memory so couldn’t remember all the choices, he did tell us what there was and we made our choices. Then drinks! We asked for line and soda. “Sprite” was his reply so we agreed to have that instead this was plonked down in the unopened cans in front of us. By this time we couldn’t stop laughing it was like Fawlty Towers. He then sat back at his table to continue his conversation and some one came from the kitchen with our meals. The food was actually ok but to add insult to injury a 10% service charge was added to the bill. We paid and left as soon as possible. No wonder there was only 2 tables occupied and a family walked out after our initial problem with him.

Almorcé aquí y para el centro de Londres no estaba mal en cuanto al precio. Cortesía y salsas de aceitunas pitta comienzo y almuerzo en £10. 75 cada uno no estaba mal. Un trozo de queso feta en una ensalada griega que lo bajan. Fruta de cortesía a fin. Además de un par de cervezas y el servicio era de £32. Todo bien.

Just a short walk from Paddington Station is this Authentic Greek Restaurant. Not expensive for London, they have lunch specials that are reasonable.

Sono stato con la mia famiglia presso questo locale dopo aver provato i locali inglesi, pseudo italiani e catene di ristorazione. Locale spartano, ma accogliente. Servizio di poche parole, ma attento e cordiale. Cibo fantastico: humus, insalate, tzatsiki, taramosalata. Moussaka e souvlakia. Materie prime ottime. In più ci hanno offerto un antipasto di mezedes e frutta fresca alla fine. Abbiamo preso anche birra. Abbiamo speso 19 sterline a testa. A molto presto.

Ambiente semplice con ottima cucina. Oltre allo stuzzichino offerto dalla casa, abbiamo preso antipasti vari e la moussaka vegetariana, ottima. Per finire piccoli baklava accompagnati da tanta frutta fresca. Prezzi medi. Consigliato.

Me detuve por una cena tarde y el lugar estaba lleno. Estábamos cerca del lugar y tenía vimos más temprano en el día. Afortunadamente alguien salir, así que nos dieron una mesa de inmediato. Hacía mucho calor dentro del restaurante y intentaron apoyar la puerta abierta a refrescó, pero alguien estaba sentado cerca de la puerta que estaba frío. El hombre que nos sirvió, el propietario tal vez? Fue genial. Él envió a través de un plato de aceitunas y tomates para que coma mientras espera para nuestras comidas. También había algo de pan plana cálida y chapuzón. Pedí el pollo Sish y compartió con un amigo. Fue muy bueno. La porción era suficiente para 2 de nosotros. Que fuera el último en el restaurante y lo estaban cerrando, pero nunca nos sentimos presionados o pegadas. Es un restaurante precioso barrio y viendo que me alojo siempre en la zona de Paddington en Londres, espero que regresaré.

Nos alojábamos en Paddington la noche antes de la boda real, viajar a Windsor el día siguiente. Íbamos a comer en el San Marco italiano, pero eran groseros, así que fuimos allí en su lugar. El servicio era fantástico, así que era la comida y el vino. Recomiendo encarecidamente si estás en Paddington

La comida fue genial. A mí me tienen un entrante y un postre gratis. El señor mayor (que supongo que es el propietario) parecía muy enojado y tuvieron un enojado llamada en medio del restaurante. Sin embargo, la camarera fue muy amable.

Ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante greco che credo essere a conduzione familiare. Da mangiare abbiamo preso delle tipicita' greche abbastanza buone. A fine cena ci è stata offerta della frutta che abbiamo gradito molto. Unica pecca il bagno fuori uso (si era rotto il giorno stesso) e l'aria gelida che entrava nel locale ogni volta che veniva aperta la porta. Per il resto ok x una cena veloce con amici.

Verdaderamente una experiencia horrible. Nos topamos con el restaurante como parientes estaban alojados en uno de los hoteles cercanos. Nos conocimos en Kolossi y servida gratis entrantes. Mencionamos enseguida que sólo dos de las seis personas en realidad queríamos comer y el resto de nosotros nos acabamos de bebidas. El personal decidió cobrar sobre la marcha 6 Libras/entrante que no pedido y fue presentado como libre. Después de revisar el menú no podía averiguar donde el precio de £6 llegó y nos dijeron en un restaurante medio vacío podría añadir que necesitan hacer 30 libras por cabeza en esta zona. Decidimos irnos y volver nunca jamás. Evitar como la peste.

El sitio es pequeño, no está adaptado para silla de ruedas. La comida tarda y no está especialmente buena, para cenar una noche bien pero no es un sitio que frecuentar.

Ottimo ristorante greco, pesce fresco e vere a specialità greche. Il personale cordiale e professionale Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Buona anche la cucina per i bimbi.

La comida no era mala pero tampoco se destacaba. Sabores poco definidos que precisamente no es característica de la cocina griega. Buena atención. No es buena la relación calidad-precio.

Visited with friends for evening meal. Service was slow even though restaurant wasn’t busy. Me and a friend opted for two starters each instead of a main (worked out roughly same price as a main) and my other friend had a main meal. The guy serving who I assume was owner firstly seemed annoyed that we ordered starters and tried forcing a main meal on us. My friend asked for calamari starter which he said ‘no’ and tried getting her to have a main again.

What a great little Greek restaurant here in Paddington. Amazing food. The staff gave excellent service, very friendly people. Been past many a times and always said I will try it one day. And today I am glad I did. Paddington has some amazing eaterys . This is definitely one of them. Love this place. See you again soon. KALI NICKTA

Nous avons pu manger dans ce restaurant tardivement alors que le reste des autres restaurants fermaient. Nous avons eu un accueil chaleureux et convivial. La serveuse a été patiente, nous avons eu un apéritif gratuit et un dessert offert, nous avons été servis rapidement, ils ont remis du chauffage pour nous. C'était frais et bien cuisiné et pourtant je ne suis pas spécialiste de la cuisine grecque.

If you love simple fresh ingredients cooked in a traditional style, this is definitely the place for you. This is not fancy. It's more like a Cafe than a restaurant. The food is fresh (It's great to be able to actually eat the side salad rather than just look at it) and the service is informal and friendly. They could easily improve some of the dishes (maybe serve some fig jam or something with the grilled halloumi guys - it was a bit dry), but the food was excellent, if a little simple by 'modern' standards. From my perspective I can't fault it but you have to accept that this is a family-run place that doesn't appear to care though about the overall experience. I'm giving it top marks but others may be disappointed.

Très bien accueillis malgré notre arrivée tardive. une groupe de 7 personnes à 22h00 Cuisine maison et plats généreux. Mezze pour 2 personnes abondant et largement suffisant pour entrée et plat. Serveurs très disponibles et à l'écoute. Nous avons passé une super soirée dans ce restaurant. Je recommande fortement.

Dopo essere stancati di mangiare i soliti cibi malsani, era un piacere di cenare a questo ristorante greco. Piatti semplici ma gustosi, con ottimo prezzo/qualità. Il proprietario era molto simpatico e gentile, che vuol dire tanto. A fine pasto ci è stato offerto un piccolo assaggio di dolce greco. Andateci, costa meno di un pranzo al pub!!!

Walked by, decided to stop, and glad that we did! Pitta and dips were free, dessert on the house. Ordered mixed grill and lamb was amazing. I would recommend it to any one!

Des produits frais comme on les aiment. Service irréprochable et personnel accueillant. On est très vite emporté vers la chaleur de la Grèce ou de la Crête,on en oublie presque le froid londonien. Une très bonne adresse.

Menyn innehöll inte jättemånga rätter med den mat vi beställde var god. Åt mixed kebab till varmrätt och köttet var perfekt stekt! Olika röror till förrätt och det var också smakligt. Jättebra service, trevlig personal och bra priser.

Absolutely terrible food and the service was even worse. Staff so rude just wanted our money didn't give us anything we ordered, when questioned we was given such arrogance and attitude, we left our food and drinks was really disappointed

I found myself hungry late one evening as I stayed in a nearby hotel. I randomly chose the Kolossi, and the Food Gods must have been with me. The meal was delicious. The service warm and friendly. The atmosphere comfortable and quiet.

The owner/waiter tried his best to keep the restaurant warm, but on a bitterly cold London night it was a lost cause. Whenever anyone came or went, the door didn't close properly and there was a blast of cold air that permeated through the restaurant.

I am very sorry to say that I found the visit to the Kolossi Restaurant in Paddington very disappointing. Without being asked if we wanted it, we were presented with some bread and vegetables/sauces and were then charged for it. If bread is put on the table, I don't expect to pay for it. The service was friendly but after being asked if we wanted more bread (and not being told that we had to pay for it), we were given more bread. The pasta dish I ordered was totally bland and very small and only like warm. The desert was the biggest surprise. It was allegedly Mango Cheesecake and I was presented with a small glass dish identical to the ones I buy in the supermarket under the name "Gue" deserts. They had placed two small segments of strawberry on the desert and placed 3 physalis fruit around it and then charged £4 for it. A total con in my view. Very disappointed!
