The best restaurants serving Greek food in North East

Very Greek menu. The Greek house wine was excellent. We had a sharing platter of mixed starters for 2 between 4 of us and it made a really nice introduction. I had the charcoal grilled pork chop with chips and salad. The waitress was brilliant, really helpful. We paid £40.00 a head including a tip and quite a bit of wine. No complaints at all.

Probably the best restaurant in Shields! House wine was really nice, the atmosphere and the staff were lovely.

We popped in for lunch not realising how popular this gorgeous restaurant is - very lucky to get a table - great food and great service highly recommend

Great food at great prices. An amazing place for couples/families to eat in Redcar.

If you haven't tried this place yet, what are waiting for? The food is fabulous (Chicken Gyros) The owner and chef (Adrian) is so welcoming and generous, the attention to detail is superb. This place needs your support or we will lose a little piece of Greece in our own town center.

The food was delicious, but they automatically added a 20% service charge, which was especially unwelcome seeing as there was very little service involved - you pay at the counter, and go back to pick up your order when it's ready.

Had a fab meal here ,was recommended by a friend who lives nearby and as we were using her caravan just up the road decided to give it a try. Having been back from kos only 2 weeks I can say the food was better than some I had while there. Will definitely be back next year when we visit .

There was a party of 15 of us on a Sunday afternoon for a family birthday get together. Firstly the staff … they were so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. We all had different food … some had Greek, some Italian and some roast dinners - every single piece of food was delicious. The only thing that let it down was the dessert selection both in choice and price but I’m sure when it’s rebranded etc they will address desserts.

Tasty Greek food and friendly service. Definitely recommend the prawns and monkfish. Friends really enjoyed the stifado. We will definitely be returning

Never had a problem until tonight. Madras curry tray with rice and chips came with chicken?!? No good for a person who doesn’t eat meat. Naan bread was cold and plain with scraping of garlic puree on top. popadoms soft. Both starters were cold only thing what was ok is the chips chicken curry and wrap . Certainly not worth the money not quite sure if we will be back.

Excellent food served by very pleasant staff.

These restaurant - '. We were going there with my foster dad *BennyShack* for a while. ....He eats like a horse and yet he's s as thin as a rake.....' (The capital Man sorry The Man from capital city) It weren't snakes that interrupted us but a brave manager of * The Angel* while all customers went to *Turpins * only to give great feedbacks to *Roka* with amazing /light and decoratins - solutions/. It is worth to look again towards Newcastle City as COTINGHAM is slightly overrated especially if It is not on Yours but Almost On your Irish and Turkish temporary neighbours' lists. We don't have decent CYPRIOT restaurants do we ( kibris one ...eah) ?

Food was poor, starter turned up and was very greasy and burnt. Main, the chicken was dry, and was all chicken skin, very little meat. The restraunt was empty and was quite grotty inside However, the staff were good.

We can’t tell if there has been a change in management or just staff but poor this time and we’ve been many times, average food and service so won’t be returning

Fantastic meal in a beautifully decorated restaurant. With great quality food and outstanding service. Will definitely be returning to Amici very soon.
