Yummy. Lovely range of home made Greek savoury pastries. Generously sized and ours were still warm. Took them home and heated them up as a lockdown treat from a local shop. Worth a stop buy - you can quickly park right outside if you watch out for wardens and they are currently serving from the door. Will be back again to try some different ones.

This Cafe 'formerly 'the Thistle' Now 'THE MAISON' is Like finding a golden nugget to me, I like a morning roll such as egg sausage bacon etc. And if there is one thing that annoys me is the dreaded 'dry roll' without spread of some sorts. One of the things i like about this new cafe is ‘They do this... without you having to ask’.. Now after warning 3 Other cafes in the area if they continued the practice of the 'dreaded dry morning roll , I would go elsewhere. Unfortunately they continued to give me thee old Gordon Ramsey trick of sticking the roll on the hot plate & Ignored my customer feed back.… So what did i do?… Well being a man of my word, I do not accept ‘second best’ and Loe and behold the next again Day…. I find this Diamond of a cafe' THE MAISON' who believe in giving the customer what they want … So let me say... this this is the best Cafe in the Tollcross area, so give them a try I guarantee you will not be disappointed and will surely become a regular. Apart from morning rolls & breakfasts they have an Excellent lunch and dinner menu, you will walk away completely satisfied with the food and thee Delightful helpful and polite staff Staff.

I just returned from a wonderful stay at the Bonham. The staff and service couldn’t have been more pleasant. The rooms and decor of the hotel were perfect for a wintery weekend in Edinburgh . My favorite aspect was the 24 hour serviced bar in the beautiful bar room. And I would like to personally thank the night staff who found my passport which has slipped out of the pages of the book and handed this in the the front desk to save me a last minute nightmare! Will definitely return when I am next in Edinburgh. Than you!

Went here based on highest google review in the area but was sorely disappointed. French onion soup was good but then went down from there. We got the fish of the day and it was mediocre and flavorless. After we ate our fish I asked for the check. It came about 20mins later. Waitress looked as if she could care less about catering to our pace to go sightseeing. Boo on Petit Paris.

Maybe we came on a bad day. Don't like leaving bad reviews but I'm not sure why this place has so many great reviews either. Easily one of the worst meals I've ate out in a while. Staff seemed friendly enough. Nice restaurant interior, but the food was honestly terrible let alone overpriced. I ordered the tuna steak, and it was inedible (raw) undercooked and rubbery. So I thought I'd eat the chips on the side, but then I found a hair. We ordered potatoes and there was only 4!? The food wasnt even fresh and the serving portions were stingy (not small in the delicate French/ gourmet portion sizing) like they just ran out of food? I don't know. Our first time at Cote, will be our last.

Myself and three friends stumbled on this lovely place on our way to the Grassmarket. We received a warm, friendly welcome from the staff on arrival and were seated immediately. We chose breakfast items which were all freshly prepared and of high quality. You get good, homemade food and there is plenty to choose from on the menu. We were so impressed that we returned for more on the following day!! Lovely, friendly staff and a very pleasant vibe to the place. Can highly recommend x

Si te gusta la comida y quieres llevar tu sabor y experiencias gastronómicas al máximo nivel, por favor, visita este encantador establecimiento. El chef y restaurantero Jack te guía a través de un menú de 7 platos con o sin acompañamiento de alcohol (nosotros fuimos por nada de alcohol). Experimentamos a Jack como la antítesis del estereotipo del malhumorado maestro chef ramsayesco Gordon. En su lugar, con gran autoridad y sabiduría, nos proporcionó no solo cuidado y consideración, ya que ya había tenido en cuenta las intolerancias alimentarias de los huéspedes, sino que, de su manera modesta y tranquila, entregó grandes cantidades de información sobre la comida y bebida que disfrutamos, revelando la ciencia y la justificación de su elección de combinaciones de sabores y métodos de preparación. Todo estaba bien preparado de antemano dentro de un ambiente de cocina impecablemente limpio al lado del bar en el que nos sentamos. Tan suave fue la carrera que apenas nos dimos cuenta de los silenciosos asentimientos y la orientación que dio a su subcocinero Scott y a otro asistente. Por sus descripciones y la comida que tenemos ante nosotros, se habían pasado muchas horas en la preparación, y a pesar de su comportamiento discreto, Jack es claramente apasionado por proporcionar excelencia hacia una experiencia de cliente única. Su cuidado en este sentido se extendió a cambiar una combinación de vinos en la noche porque no creía que fuera el maridaje óptimo para un plato en particular para aquellos en el restaurante que estaban bebiendo, después de comprobarlo dos veces. ¿Qué puedo decir de la comida? Permítanme decirlo de esta manera: es raro que recuerde el recuerdo de un sabor tan vívido como lo he hecho con la comida de Jack. Los miembros más saludables de mi microbioma intestinal probablemente se enriquecieron con algunos de los sabrosos alimentos fermentados preparados con amor durante días. En cuanto a si la comida estaba llenando lo suficiente. Sí, para nosotros lo fue. Aunque el ritmo del curso contribuyó y pagamos extra por el curso de queso tête de moins, en lugar de atiborrar comida como suelo hacer, la experiencia del sabor junto con el ambiente tranquilo y educativo me invitó a bajar el ritmo y saborear, de tal manera que cuando la comida terminó me sentí satisfecho pero no hinchado, ni en ningún sentido sentí que había comido en exceso. Si te gusta la comida única y experiencias gastronómicas, tienes que visitar este lugar. ¡Vale cada centavo!

What a fantastic place to visit, shopping & champagne, didn't have to wait to be seated as there was spaces when we arrived, all the staff were lovely and the cocktails delicious, was a lovely end to our Christmas shopping day.

Lovely little spot for lunch in the New Town. Very reasonably priced and decent portion size for lunch considering the location. Great atmosphere, it is pretty small and the tables are quite close together but this makes the place feel all the more French. The food was tasty and well presented and the service was friendly and efficient, despite the fact there was just the one girl serving. Both of us work in hospitality and we were very impressed with how she dealt with the service by herself, very worthy of a good tip! Lovely coffee, chocolate cake and brandy to finish! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere to eat out in Edinburgh!

Love coming back to chez jules, great for a quick tasty meal. This time tried the coq au vin for two and was delicious and it came with a side of gratin potatoes!
