It’s become a tourist trap. I used to come here for a quick bite to eat on my lunch a few years ago, it used to be quaint, have decent food and priced fairly. Something has changed since, It’s very expensive for what you get £8 for a small pre-made sandwich, in a brown bag and dumped on the table with a “you work out which one is which”, a pastry that was average at best, the only positive was the coffee, which was a decent standard. £35 for 2 sandwich’s, 2 pastries and 2 coffees, certainly wasn’t worth it and I certainly won’t go out of my way to come here again.

It's close to the Castle, a perfect place to get a cup of coffee with a small bite. We tried croissant and quiche. Both were quite fresh and tasty.

Delicious quiche and pastries. Little crowded in the morning. Super cute cafe! They have 2-3 tables outside where you can sit and eat your breakfast.

Stopped off today out of the rain we tried this as going to Paris in July so we tried this place coffee was excellent and quice was very nice we tried couple of the tarts very tasty and staff very polite def go back in the summer

The restaurant is located on one of the most touristy streets but despite this the prices are low and the quality is excellent. The place is not very large but there are still quite a few seats. The staff is extremely kind. The only flaw is that it is quite cold in the room since the door is open (in fact, I recommend sitting just behind it in order to be more sheltered)

I took some pastries to go and they were AMAZING!!! The best pastries I have had in a long time, probably ever tbh! The lady who served us was lovely as well. I will definitely be back when I visit Edinburgh again. Thank you 🙌🏻 (I had a bite before I took the picture but trust me it looked amazing before I ruined it haha)

The atmosphere is very good. I have diarrhea after eating something. Businessmen can make money but you are not sincere.

I have visited this patisserie 3 consecutive days, and found that it gets very cramped an stuffy quite quickly. Some of the staff could do much better with the table service, *someone please train them properly.* The pastries were nice and tasty, however the pear and apricot tarts pastry were soggy and very tough to cut, nevertheless the filling was delicious. Serving the pastries at the table in boxes is awkward for the client to eat from them, it totally lacks panache, actually it isn't very nice at all, serving them on the small paper plates readily available looks so much stylish.

Sweet french bakery. Can get quite busy. Door always open so if sitting in - can get cold - still need a coat. We thought the cacaotine was a cake - it is bread with chocolate bits - this would have been nice with a little cream. It was huge and a bit stodgy on its own and we had to leave it. The pastries were nice though as was the coffee.

Pedimos una tarta de flan vainilla y otra de manzana, ambas buenas, pero tampoco nada fuera de lo común. Crujientes, del día,,,, para un picoteo está bien. El café está bueno.

It’s a very tiny tight cafe but cozy. I’ve had their vanilla flan framboise and it was amazing! I’ve visited other stores of them as well and would say all their stores have a good authentic taste of French pastries. Would definitely recommend !

Très belle petite boulangerie "à la française" d après les Ecossais. Ce que j ai aimé : Elle est idéalement située. La décoration et la présentation des produits. Il y a beaucoup de choix, sucrés et salés et surtout, tous les produits font envie. Sa petite taille et les quelques places à l exterieur qui permettent vraiment de s approprier le moment. Le café et le ice tea maison étaient top. Le Scone était plutôt fade. Cependant il était proposé avec du beurre et de la confiture de framboise, ce qui a relevé l'intérêt de ce scone. Belle adresse, qui donne envie de revenir

We were looking for macarons for a friend, and another had said the ones here were sublime. Sadly they were not, they were dry, hollow, and various of the flavourings were very artificial. Coupled with that, they came packaged with 12 in a box but no indication of date, and at £16 for a box very expensive. My wife has spent hours perfecting macarons so she does know what she's talking about.

Such a sweet café. The espresso was delicious and the chocolate eclair was to die for - totally worth breaking the diet.

Posizione: su Victoria Street, una delle vie più belle della parte vecchia di Edimburgo. Locale: minuscolo, molto intimo e tranquillo. Tranquillo perchè noi avevamo l'appartamento a due passi e quindi siamo arrivati all'apertura del locale, ci siamo poi passati in altri orari e abbiamo sempre visto un sacco di gente. Cappuccio: davvero molto buono. Migliore anche di alcuni bevuti in Italia. Croissant: degno delle migliori pasticcerie parigine! Ottimo. 5 stelle! Prezzo: due cappucci, un croissant e un pain un chocolat: il corrispettivo di 20 euro. 1 stella!

Very good french pastries and tarts (especially the Citron Tart). A must stop for pastry lovers. Their prices are reasonable. Would definitely come back again!

Sehr freundliches und gut gelauntes Personal. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Wir hatten die Tagessuppe mit frischen Baguette und als kleines Dessert sehr gute Macarons.

It's like a magnet when you can see fresh baked patisserie in the restaurant window. And then once inside...there's more! Delicious! We went the first time and loved it. And just before our flight home, we made another stop to enjoy it again. Highly recommend!

They have really pretty pastries and cakes. The service was really nice but the coffee was not good. The vanilla flan I had had such a really hard crust, and the texture of the custard was not smooth.

Not value for money. Charging for crockery and providing paper cups. Tall woman with Easter European accent very rude. Will not be a repeat customer. If you are looking for a French patisserie with real French charm visit the mad hatter in Bruntsfield Edinburgh.

Sehr lecker zu einem fairen Preis. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Ambiente passt. Aber die Bäckerei ist etwas klein, also muss man immer schauen, ob noch irgendwo ein Plätzchen (zwinker) frei ist. Ich war immer wieder gerne dort.
