The best restaurants serving French food in North East

Fuimos a comer el domingo, que era absolutamente delicioso. Hermosa carne de res con deliciosa verdura, especialmente el gratinado de puerro. Todos tuvimos principal y postre, así que no puedo comentar sobre los entrantes. Definitivamente vale la pena el dinero y solo los buenos modales me impidieron lamer el plato. No soy bebedor de vino, pero mis compañeros de comedor estaban contentos con el vino y siempre estoy feliz con G & T. Excelente servicio y un ambiente encantador. Sin duda volveremos.

Food was good. I had chicken tikka pathia which was one of the nicest I've had in a while. Hubby had prawn starter which he said needed more sauce and Hari Chilli Chicken Massala for main which he thought was really good. Staff were friendly and polite. Only negative was the price of a pint of Cobra but as we were there for the food it wouldn't put us off going back next time we visit Seahouses.

Been here many times as a family and the food has never disappointed. The set menu is very good value and staff all work hard to make the experience pleasant. Nothing is too much trouble. We will obviously return.

After dining here 2 nights in a row- as it was convenient as I had my elderly parents with me and they could not walk far, the food was mediocre and the steak was actually bad quality with no texture, although I can say cooked well. We went to this restaurant to see if we could get a table for two on the third night, the owner (man in glasses who seems like the host) was so rude to us and dismissed us like we were nothing. I was shocked by how rude he was after actually coming to the restaurant previously I would never go back. Sub standard pastiche French restaurant that I can imagine only survives as there is not much competition. Very disappointed.

There was a chunk of something in my tea - which was in the tea pot before pouring my tea out and also a chunk floated to the top of my cup of tea too! Then I found a couple of hairs in my quiche. Will not be going there again, left me with a very sickly stomach for a few days.

Reservamos para el té de la tarde para 4 de nosotros, era un día de semana y aparte de nosotros 4 no realmente nadie más allí, así que no hay ambiente! La comida era buena y había un montón de ella. Hubiera sido un poco mejor con un poco de música funky tal vez. El personal era agradable y servicial

This place is a wonderful authentic hidden gem, you wouldn’t know it was there. I went out here for a lovely meal with my partner. The food was beautiful and the service was wonderful. You were instantly made to feel welcomed. I left happy and with a full stomach! I will definitely be coming back and I’m thrilled to find out they also have a delivery service overall a truly wonderful experience.

Superb meal as we have come to expect from our Friday evening meals! We have never had a poor steak here, mind you maybe the restaurant could consider alternative sizes of the steak on offer and the price applicable for the food? It might prove popular?

This is a great venue with lovely staff, however, the Taylor Swift night was a complete flop with lots of people leaving early and the crowd sitting on the floor and refusing to move in protest. They've basically used Taylor Swifts name to cash in as the DJ played less Taylor Swift than any other artist and when she did eventually get round to playing Taylor, it was the same songs over and over again. I think Bad Blood came on 4 or 5 times. It was dreadful. Everyone was annoyed. This event was nothing at all like what you see on Tiktok and other events with a Taylor act or compare on stage. The Taylor theme was basically a few paper masks left on tables. 2 masks per table of 6-8. They put some purple tinsel streamers near the bar too. Drink prices were slightly on the expensive side but not too bad. Won't return for any future events.

Coffee was nice, but took 20 mins for a takeout, came out smelling of food. Been a few times since to find it closed, which is a shame its just round the corner

What an amazing Pub .. from the location to the views to the friendly welcome. The food is fantastic and very reasonably priced as well as really good portion sizes and options of a smaller size meal on most things. The lamb roast was perfectly cooked and nice and pink all homemade and lovely Yorkshire’s and gravy. The fish and chips were in a crispy fresh batter with fresh fish and homemade chips and mushy peas. We will be back 💯

It was my birthday on Sunday. A late Sunday lunch with family was such a good idea. Roast pork had sounded so appealing, especially considering that living alone nowadays means that traditional Sunday dinner no longer happens at home. Plus points: an amazing building, a warm welcome and most pleasant staff. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the meal was awful because of soggy crackling, hard and shrunken roast potatoes, one piece of carrot (!), cold greens and lukewarm watery gravy. And, I didn't like the block of stuffing, which, by the way, was also cold. In addition, we waited an hour for the main course to arrive. A disappointed customer.

Tuvimos una noche encantadora en el hotel du Vin para cenar. Jack nos llevó al bar con atención y nos dio sugerencias de cócteles. El servicio fue genial de Adrianna e Iryna en el bistró. Lo volvería a visitar: )
