The best restaurants serving French food in Kensington and Chelsea London

We were a party of 6 ladies celebrating 2 60th Birthdays. We came across fait maison and thought how wonderful it looked so we decided to go in for refreshments. The young man who approached us was to say the least surly and did not greet us like we were welcome at all. We were made to feel quite uncomfortable in fact. We considered leaving but it was very warm and we were all thirsty. He returned to take our order albeit reluctantly and without trace of a smile, we had considered eating here but dismissed this thought due to the reception we received. In total contrast the lovely lady who brought our drinks over came with a wide genuine smile and a warm welcome which was much appreciated. Fair maison is beautifully decorated and was peaceful and relaxing. The Mocktails were delicious and refreshing. One of our party did mention to the lady about the young man’s attitude to us six middle aged English women and she was apologetic.

Απαράδεκτοι υπάλληλοι με βρώμικα ρούχα και συνομιλία για παραγγελία λες και κάνουν αγγαρεία μας είπαν ότι θα ανοίξουν στις 12 και ενώ έβρεχε δεν μας έβαλαν ποτέ την ώρα που είπαν και όταν άνοιξαν ακόμα καθάριζαν η παραγγελία που ήταν καπουτσίνο εσπρέσο και σοκολάτα ήταν απαράδεκτα σχεδόν νερό το σημείο για φωτό είναι τέλειο και έχει ωραία διακόσμηση !!

Très bon et très joli. Toast avocat et toast oeufs brouillés délicieux. Service accueillant. Même les WC sont jolis:) Je recommande!

Allergen issue I am allergic to egg, the restaurant team had been warned several times when the booking was made as well as upon arrival at the restaurant. However, after 2 amuse-bouches, I could no longer eat as there had been egg in the leek velouté one. The kitchen and service staff denied this, asking me whether I was sure it "wasn't in my head", but after being sick for a few hours, they finally seemed to believe me (quite disappointing it had to end this way). After lengthy discussions with the kitchen to understand what went wrong (I am extremely lucky I do not have a fatal allergy), they informed me that they cannot "guarantee the absence of cross-contamination". Extremely surprised by this given it is a Michelin star restaurant but also quite disappointed they did not make this known when we booked and informed them of my allergy.

I recently dined at Bombay Brassiere, and it was an exceptional experience! The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. The menu offered a delightful array of authentic Indian dishes, each bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the butter chicken and the garlic naan, which were cooked to perfection. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal. Overall, I highly recommend Bombay Brassiere for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Indian cuisine in a lovely setting!

He estado en este restaurante antes y aunque la comida es buena, es la vista de Kensington High Street lo que hace que este lugar. Puedes sentarte en una mesa y ver pasar a la gente. Soy un gran observador de personas y este es el lugar para estar. Buen vino Buena comida. El personal lo dejará solo y no lo apurará. Recomiendo este lugar!

Me gustaría agradecer hoy por hacerme el día para hablar de chicas. Fui a Paul para que me doliera un chocolate. Y esta chica me ofreció tomar un café (desayuno), así que me preparó un capuchino, que estaba delicioso, y me alegró el día. Volveré, gracias al personal amable y servicial.

Estaba caminando por Portobello Road Market y vi esta encantadora pastelería francesa. El escaparate era muy acogedor y lleno de deliciosos pasteles de aspecto. La francesa que me sirvió fue muy agradable y por eso les estoy dando 2 estrellas. Compré un Pain au Chocolat grande para llevar conmigo, pero estaba muy seco, como cartón. Me sorprendió que una panadería francesa en una zona de lujo como Portobello vendiera pasteles viejos. Uno de los peores Pains au Chocolat que he probado y uno de los más caros en eso. No caminé de regreso, pero lo tiré y fui a una cafetería cercana donde compré un croissant fresco, caliente y mantecoso. Maison Puget, compruebe la fecha y la frescura de sus pasteles. Hay mucha competencia por ahí. ¡Mantén la calidad!

Increíbles y originales postres! Probé la crepé de sushi y fue fantástico! ¡No puedo desear probar fideos de crepé la próxima vez que esté allí!

Visited this place several times during our stay in London. Staff is very friendly, and tea is spot on. Enjoyed morning tea and scones, afternoon tea, and even after dinner tea here.

Great place for the smart Chelsea set and people watching, and a wonderful restaurant, too. Hamid looked after the three of us and was charming to our 11 year old, who was kept happy with chocolate crepes and orange juice. We adults drank Ayala sparkle and a very acceptable sauvignon blanc. The chopped salad was a treat, but the endive, walnut and Roquefort stole the show. Great steak tartare, too. You get two hours at the table. There’s a cover charge of £2.50pp and a service charge of 15% is added to the bill. Roger Evans
