Had a lovely meal here, delicious food enjoyed by all of our party of 6. Service is a bit indifferent as is noted in many of the reviews. Our server did roll her eyes a bit at first but she warmed up and was quite pleasant but I do feel that management should address the attitude of staff which could definitely be improved but other than that thought the food was great

Food was just about ok, small portions. Waiter Ben was lovely, but tables are pushed very close together, difficult to get in and out . The couple on the next table were so noisy we couldn’t hear ourselves speak.

The food was horrendous, what a disappointment. The omelette was mega rubbery (didn’t look like egg), the sourdough bread toast were soggy and the service appalling (apart from the gentleman that took our orders, he was on it). The full English breakfast was also very poor. Coffee was good. Location is great, but that’s about it.

Know many people love Colbert, but it simply isn't my thing. Tables jammed together, hard to hear over the din. My lunch was a joke on me. I ordered the prawn and avocado salad. There was a single small shrimp on top, sliced super thin, then fanned around the circular out form. Then some avocado, not ripe enough and a little sauce. Least the flat white was good. Of course they came and told us our time was up at our table. Have been here several times and always come away with the same general feeling. Overpriced and underwhelming.

A fantastic spot for breakfast or brunch with friendly, attentive staff and consistently delicious food. The relaxed, inviting atmosphere makes it perfect, with plenty of opportunities for people-watching as locals frequent the place. Terrible service, waited over an hour for lunch to arrive. Food good when it arrived! We asked to speak to a manager who was in a meeting. Unfortunately the service spoilt the whole experience, won’t be going back.

First time in my life will write a review and hope last one , as do understand pressure of this profession. Food average, service slow as snail , when complained young blond Manager claimed to be , was so arrogant like he started to work 3 days ago . Colbert never again , thank you .

Female blond manager is utterly unprofessional. We live just around the corner and used to come every Sunday for breakfast. Whenever this lady has to sit us down she comes up with various excuses to never do so, although there would be plenty of tables available. Today the manager said we have to wait for 20minutes outside and we cannot wait at the table whilst they are free because the service commences once we are at the table-makes no sense. The service at Colbert is deteriorating and is a big shame!

Excellent attention to detail from beginning to end; easily in our top three London restaurants. The service was impeccable, very efficient and extremely professional. The food is as good as you would expect for an establishment of this quality, but it is the service that definitely stood out for us on the day.

Authentic French cuisine in London. Charming ambiance and friendly staff. Large de-shelled escargot with perfect sauce amazing. Fresh and delicious Prawn & Avocado. Duck confit was made to perfection.

Always a wonderful experience !!! Right in the heart of Sloane Square & Kings Road. If I’m alone or with friends. Staff, first class, nothing too much trouble. I am always made to feel so special. Such a buzzy atmosphere Outside seating too where you can watch the world go by.! A very French cuisine You could almost imagine you are in Paris.!!!

The food was good, however the table service could have been more efficient. The restaurant was very crowded on Tuesday evening.

I always return to this social bar scene with an upscale dining room. I always meet someone interesting so it's a good place to dine alone at the bar. French classics. Not cheap but a good value.

We had our breakfast here. The food was OK the service wasn't. Definitely wouldn't be a choice around the area next time.

Old-style French restaurant. The interior had classic French vibes, adding a touch of elegance to the atmosphere. The food, however, was decent, but nothing extraordinary. When we sat down, one staff member was rude to us, just because we moved to the table next to us and shouted “we don’t move ourselves”, which was disappointing and literally ruined our mood. Additionally, one of the things I ordered with my dish didn’t arrive, and I had to reorder and wait longer. Despite this issue, what seemed to be the manager, promptly took care of it, removing the item from the bill and service charge. It's good to see that she handled the situation well and helped the overall experience.

Great location. Very easy access from public transportation to nice boutiques and shops of every kind. Lovely and attentive staff. Great atmosphere inside and also outside. However I can not say the same for the food. The salads along with the entricote and lamb were very average. I had better experience regarding the food before but this time the food was a disappointment.

The menu was very limited, and so you would expect all dishes to be brilliantly accomplished. They were not. Kedgeree dull. Cheese soufflé rather dry, arrived late, a bleak version. The desserts were disappointingly mediocre. We had a very nice waiter, but others seemed to get too involved! It is not the wonderful and stylish jJeremy King Colbert that it used to be, and the food standards (for very high prices) were particularly inadequate. Will not be going again.

Appalling service. Waiters barely acknowledging our presence. Whenever you ask for something no one stops by and does things on the go. Would not recommended

I visited a few times since this Colbert was my default meeting point during my short stay in London. The location is fantastic. You can go to many different tangents from Colbert and it is steps away from public transportation. For shopaholics out there …. The boutique lined streets are eye watering and everything is beautiful all the way to Harrods. The option is just endles. The only problem is the restaurant is usually crowded and almost always very loud. So no space for your bags other than the floor. Service is prompt and courteous even if they are busy. The food was good and cocktails were surprisingly delicious which I didn’t expect from tourist laden places. I wished I got more pictures out of it. Reservation is highly recommended if you plan to come at the peak meal times/ desirable hours.

Have been going to London for years. This time had a need to go to Sloane Sq so grabbed a late lunch. So glad I did. Had the Mackerel. Superb all round.

Now I like this place a lot and the food is very good and I am so low maintenance as a But I just had the most awful service today. The waiting staff were fine to be fair. But the 2 people who were front of house managing the seating / tables were as rude as I have ever experienced. They were unhelpful from the start, in fact arsey. But the issue that just felt so unnecessary, was: We were getting a strong cold draft from the front door being left open. I asked really politely if we could we maybe move table, there was plenty of space. I caught her rolling her eyes and shaking her head. She came back sweetness and light and said the door would be kept closed. The point is there is a clear dislike towards the clients, a very bad culture here. I really did think I was in Paris!

I will never again visit or recommend this restaurant Worst restaurant ever always crowded with the people. I feel very sorry for the staff who works there they always have to keep running here and there also they call some staff from agency who are students and they make them roaming around the restaurant and ask to find them work and give them stupid works to do. Not satisfied with the restaurant

I'm happy that I visited again. Great food, amrosphere, and service. If they can improve something, is the room temperature. It needs a better balance between the hot and cold.

We had a lovely ladies’ lunch at the Colbert earlier this week after visiting an exhibition. We rolled up without a reservation so had to wait 45 min, which we spent shopping nearby. The food was excellent and I particularly enjoyed the kedgeree. But my review is written to compliment our waiter (a gentleman with glasses) who made our lunch even more enjoyable by being attentive without ever being obtrusive and who ensured everything went seamlessly. Thank you so much!

Went for a very late Sunday lunch without a reservation and managed to get a good table. The atmosphere was nice and there are lots of waiters. However, the food was disappointing for the price they charge, especially as they add a 15% service charge and a £2.50 cover charge per person on top. A mains dish of French sausages on puy lentils turned out to be quite small, far too salty, and made of brown instead of puy lentils. The chicken was OK but the accompanying salad very meagre and limp. Both mains were £25 +15%! Conclusion: only go there if you have no alternative and/or money to burn, and don't expect delicious food!

This used to be so reliable. Now it is overpriced and sub par.

Horrible place. We asked if we could have a table for 2 outside. 15 minutes went by and no one came to take our order. And then we saw the waitresses serving other customers who came after us. Felt very racist since those customers were white. Avoid this place at all costs.

Stopped in for a couple of coffees and fruit salad, so can’t comment much on the menu but the coffee, service, and ambiance were very good. Buzzing at 11am on a Thursday and very convenient to Sloane Square station.

Let's put it this way, went in for a quick drink 1 x beer, 1 x large wine = £25 pounds yes £25 pounds enough said.

Good food and ambience, but shame about the service and management. I was surprised to see on my bill, in addition to the service charge, they had added extra ‘cover charge’ per person! They tried to justify it by saying this charge is for tables and not applicable if you sit at the bar, but I don’t know any other restaurant in the area who charges extra ‘cover charge’ for sitting at a table in addition to the service charge. I liked the restaurant and although not too much extra to pay but this left me with a bad after taste,giving the impression that the management is trying to squeeze as much as possible from their customers!

Great cafe with a very European atmosphere

Nice atmosphere but rude service at the bar from tall afro guy. No "thank you" when we paid, no "can I help?" When we aat down. Instead, " what did you want again?" when we askes for the bill. Our order tap water, filtered apparently, one cappuccino and one pinappale juice £15.50. Atrocious really when they can't even be civil.

Incredible venue! Staff are attentive but not over bearing. The atmosphere and decor are absolutely lovely, very much felt like I was in 1940-1950s the entirety of my duration at Colbert's. The food, wow! Every dish was delicious, packed full of flavour and was a good proper portion! Very well enjoyed and will be back soon!! Yum!

We were treated very rudely this afternoon by a waitress, who obviously had a problem with serving us, just because we’re a mixed couple. It was just a bit too obvious for our taste. All other customers were treated perfectly. Won’t visit again. 👎🏾👎🏻

All positives eliminated by the negative. Attended alone. Ignored upon entry. Waited long time for order to be taken that I almost left. Never checked in on. Slyly increased service charge to 20% I addressed this and was told the menu hasn't been reprinted yet. We don't tip supermarket workers or bus drivers why should we be expected to tip kitchen runners.

Sitting outside under heaters on freezing cold night with whiskey and coffee, great atmosphere, excellent service...

The bar staff were great, but even after spending hundreds of pounds between three people on drinks and food they wouldn’t seat us in the same bar with vacancies available simply because we wouldn’t order one main. Rules apply and that’s fine, but the rigidness and callousness of the staff left a bad taste with me and guests. It added insult to injury when they allowed others to sit and spend a fraction of my balance in the seared areas. My clients made an effort to highlight this as if happening. Fun times. Embarrassing. Come here for a one off but don’t expect much.

In particular, there is a great chef here in Colbert who prepares a wide variety of staff food dishes...and his dishes never fail, they are exquisite. His name is Jay Mehta

Dreadful restaurant. Disengaged staff, bland overcooked food, awful ambience. Avoid at all costs. Overpriced, £11 for a bacon roll!!!! Ridiculous. Left seated for 15 minutes before I had to go to the manager and inform her that we had not been attended to......She couldn't care less. She will when her employers see this horrendous review!

A lovely, lively brasserie which reminds the atmosphere otherwise so parisian. The staff is lovely and always helpful. Food is good, a strong French inspiration but with British notes. The Brasserie caters for most dietary restrictions and is strikingly consistently good. The wine and drinks choice is large and I feel that the success is an overall strong professionalism throughout.

Wouldn’t serve us afternoon tea at 330pm even though they had 6 tables empty. We’ve had many many brunches there so it was disappointing to be turned away so they could take walk ins for meals…

Ristorante anglo francese in Sloane Square a Londra (Chelsea). La carta è un mix di tipico “British food” e bistrot Parigino. Buona la targare , la omelette e il Croque Monsier. Ambiente curato ed elegante, prezzi alti ma non esagerati. Peccato per il servizio: spocchioso, arrogante, disattento. Comunque rimane un bell’indirizzo, anche per il breakfast.

I’m the owner of the finance company in Saudi Arabia,but first month in london I’ve been in lot of places in london but the colbert was different .we seat outside with my friends we had wines and food and both was great .the view of the restaurant is great we really enjoyed the servise was great also the Hamid was really friendly and helpful we really enjoyed we will be there very soon again love for Colbert 👏❤️.

A lovely French restaurant at a great location in Sloane Square. It is very busy and popular in the area. Pricey though, but the food lives up to high standard expected. I went for the seabass. Exquisite!

We’ve here with my friend for Sunday brunch however brunch arrived before coffee ahah The coffee took 45 minutes to come even though we kept on reminding the waiter about it and it was not that busy . Food brilliant as always, highly recommend the escargot and the kedgeree, the savoury madeleines are also delicious. Service was a little frantic on this occasion - the same server asked us 3 times if we’d like any water and we really did want some but it didn’t come until she asked us the 3rd time and we’d been there almost 20 mins at that point. The queue at the door was managed well but there were quite a few kids getting on the way

The individual responsible for seating guests seemed to exhibit biases in her decision-making. Several customers, including myself, were informed that there were no available tables and that we would have to wait for an extended period. However, my observation revealed that individuals without reservations were immediately accommodated. This stark contrast in treatment led me to question the fairness and equity of the restaurant's seating policies. Furthermore, as a concerned patron, I discreetly documented the seemingly available tables within the restaurant and the length of the queuing area. These images serve as concrete evidence of the discrepancy between the seating availability and the statements made by the staff regarding the unavailability of tables. I believe that these visuals offer a transparent depiction of the situation and the incongruity between the restaurant's actions and its purported lack of seating. It is crucial to emphasize that my intent in sharing this feedback is to raise awareness of potential issues that may compromise the integrity of the dining experience at Colbert. I have been a faithful customer for over a decade, and it is disheartening to witness behaviors that deviate from the standard of inclusivity and fairness that I have come to expect from a reputable establishment. We absolutely love going to Colbert for a wonderful lunch or dinner. Colbert, nestled next to Sloane Square, is a French culinary jewel that captures the essence of exquisite dining. The fantastic menu showcases a symphony of flavors, with the oysters, steak tartare, and veal escalope topping my list of personal favourites. The ambiance is a perfect blend of sophistication and comfort, creating an ideal setting to enjoy the delicious food and it cannot hurt to do some people watching too.

The best french restaurant in London with a pleasant atmosphere, in my opinion. The food was excellent, the taste was incredible and simply an experience. Service is extremely attentive and courteous. Above all, the service manager is an absolute professional who cannot be surpassed in terms of flexibility and friendliness. Highly recommended.

Very nice place, very well located by the station. The Deco is so french, I love it . The food was good and the service excellent. I had the chicken parfait and a salad niçoise as it was late for a big meal. My mate had the salmon. The taste reminded me of home since I am from the south of France. It was lovely ! It was a bit noisy even though it was already late. Regardless,I enjoyed my visit , it reminded me of our authentic french restaurant.

Appreciate it's the times we live in but they need more bar staff it's a nightmare trying to get served not the barpeoples fault as the it's always busy but only 3 bar staff and a full restaurant and bar ..... ridiculous

Very good food, nice restaurant but team is not polite. There are two sections one good left side one regular (right side). We got a nice dinner as two family members, 5 people. Have been to the concert at Cadogan Hall and came back after two hours but could get a proper table for drinks even though we told that we got dinner there. They were very unpolite and didn't solve the situation although half the left side was empty..

Colbert is always a joy to visit - from their perfectly executed Croque Monsieur to the irresistible Club Sandwich, this restaurant has proven time and time again that they know how to cook. I’ve eaten at this restaurant for several years, and I’m extremely glad to say they’ve perfected their menu. My personal favorite is the Croque Monsieur (cheesy and delighting in every way), but their other dishes are also divine. Their drinks are also heavenly - I’ll never be able to resist their iced coffee, and it’s always a pleasure to sip their succulent hot chocolate on a cold day. The service is also extremely fast - one minute, you’ve ordered, and the next - fluffy bread with butter or a gourmet hamburger arrives at your table! It’s also very friendly - I’ve gotten to know many of their staff members, and they’re a joy to be around. There is one drawback, however - the prices. Since the pandemic, Colbert has increased their prices drastically, making receipts become ridiculous. An average meal for four - with two coffees - can cost over £100, so this makes it not a very money-friendly option. However, aside from their pricey menu, everything is excellent and top-of-the-notch, from the food to the staff to the menu selection. If you’re looking for a good restaurant in Chelsea, definitely consider Colbert!

What a lovely experience and the food was so nice. The staff were so accommodating and polite. Well done for a lovely time, even when your staff were abused by a foul mouthed blonde person! I commend you staff.
