We both had the aubaine burger which was thinly sliced beef fillet. One was more done than the other despite both asking for medium rare. It was very tasty. Unfortunately they are in the process of changing the wine menu so several weren't available. Lots of menu choices. Would return.

The food was average. So was the service. The white wine (by the house) was tasteful but too hot. Very few people in the restaurant but still very inattentive service.

Our server Carlos was fantastic, quick attention, and great food knowledge, he recommended us to go for the lamb and sea bass and it was a great choice, we loved it, we'll back soon!

First time I have walked out in a restaurant in my whole life! 20 minutes to finally get a menus and over 1 hour and 20 minutes only to be served 2 lattes, 2 pain au chocolate and an awful basket of half toasted half hard bread that was supposed to be freshly baked bread! Cannot comment on the avocado beneditcs as they never made to the table. 4 other tables that arrived later by this time were already served or finishing their meals. Awful experience and I would definitely avoid at all costs!

I tried the risotto with mushrooms and parmesan (christmas menu) it was very delicious! And for the salad i tried the superfoods salad it was perfectly balanced and had a great mixture of flavor!

Incredibly good experience, as I didn’t realise this hidden jewel was next to my office until 1 week ago I didn’t start going before. However I have decided to become a regular. If you are lucky enough to cross paths with Iman, Laura or Anna, I am totally sure you will understand why I have decided to qualify Aubaine Kensington as a 10/10. Food wise I recommend you the lobster eggs for breakfast or the truffle scrambled eggs. As far as drinks are concerned coffee is top, however the hot chocolate there is the next level as it is Valrhona.

Came for lunch with my Mum after a visit to Kensington Palace. We were attracted in as the restaurant looks beautiful - very pretty with lots of flowers decorating the space. I had a goats cheese salad which was lovely, the goats cheese was amazing quality and showed off to its best warmed through. My Mum had eggs benedict and she said the hollandaise is was perfect.

Very nice place , fast service and good healthy food, server are nice and smiling Dessert looked very good but did had the time to taste it You can be with friends family or on your own

I really enjoyed meal in this joint, which specialises in delicacies like moulke mariniere and delicious pavlovas! The service was warm and amiable too!

Came here for a quick dinner. The place wasn't busy, and so we were seated quickly. The waitress/manager took our orders. We ordered bread, the Salmon Salad and Chicken Paillard. I wanted fries, but was informed that they had run out. Run out of ordinary fries? At the start of dinner service on a Saturday? Rather extraordinary, wouldn't you say?

Lovely restaurant where you can choose to sit inside or outside. Warm and welcoming service and a good menu selection. We went for breakfast and they serve great coffee.

We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. It was the best meal we had while in London.

We were pretty disappointed to say the least. When given the balsamic vinegar we noticed flies floating at the top.... horrible. No discount given and the manager didn’t even come to apologise.

Habiendo pedido el menú fijo, nos decepcionó encontrar que ofrecía menos que la muestra en línea: un pequeño punto. Sin embargo, nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y tuvimos los servicios de una joven camarera muy servicial. Cuando entramos por la bandeja de vasos sucios en la barra del bar (no es un buen comienzo), nos dieron la opción de una mesa y nos sentamos cerca de la ventana abierta, frente a la calle lateral (donde media docena o más de motociclistas de mensajería esperaban con sus teléfonos móviles para recoger y entregar pedidos de comida de restaurantes cercanos) La decoración del restaurante estaba muy desteñida en los años setenta: demasiadas flores de plástico horribles. La comida podría haber sido razonable. El pan solicitado para compartir lo descartamos inmediatamente porque no era comestible; rancio y duro. Nuestra servicial camarera aceptó de inmediato nuestra preocupación y después de un tiempo regresó con pan mejorado, con mantequilla francesa y platos y cuchillos. Una lástima que no teníamos eso ofrecido inicialmente. El pollo de mi esposa había terminado, cocido y seco, poco apetitoso. Mi pedido de ensalada de iceberg, filete en rodajas, etc. fue preparado incorrectamente. Las papas Dauphinoise que pedí en realidad no complementaban la hamburguesa Wagyu en un pan con una porción de papas fritas, pero acepté la alternativa porque el tiempo apremiaba. Me negué a pagar el cargo por servicio "opcional". . . . . pero nuestra camarera tenía una nota de agradecimiento. Un comentario final va sobre las instalaciones sanitarias. Estaban lejos de estar relucientes. Lamentablemente, debo decir que en este caso nuestra experiencia en Aubaine, High street Kennsington fue decepcionante.

Good summer tapas selection and nice cocktails to refresh as well as excellent service! Very good value for money.

Came here a few times as we were in the area, we always got a friendly welcome although a few times it was difficult to attract the waitress's attention to actually make our order. The food came quickly and was good, not spectacular but well cooked and as stated on the menu. If you want a quick lunch you're better off going to whole foods food court which is better value but for a longer, more romantic vibe this is a good choice.

5 of us ate Pre Proms at Aubaine at 5pm. I was surprised how few tables were taken as in previous years the restaurant had been full and we hadn’t been able to book in. We ordered white wine which arrived at room temperature with no wine cooler. Asked for it to be cooled but ended up having to ask for ice cubes to put in our glasses which is not ideal for a £33 bottle of wine.

We came here for an early meal before going to the Proms. Despite the restaurant being fairly empty, the service was incredibly slow - we waited over an hour and a half for our main courses, which left us 25 minutes to eat them before we had to leave for the concert. The food itself was extremely mediocre, overpriced and poorly cooked. Several dishes were lukewarm or stone cold. We complained and they brought us more wine (which we didn’t have time to drink), removed the (optional?) service charge and took 10% off the bill. However I’m afraid the damage is done - none of us will be returning.

We loved absolutely everything . Nice , quiet , clean ! Can' t wait to come again ! Love it so much !

My travelling companion and I both ordered Filet de Bouef, medium rare. We waited over 35 minutes for our meals to arrive. Mine was properly cooked, but the meat quality was horrible: tough and chewy. The fries were stale and cold. My companion's was overcooked to well done and not edible. She sent hers back and got a chicken cesar salad instead, which she said was okay. The manager said she would comp her meal, but she really didn't. We didn't get charged for the overcooked filet, but we did get charged for the chicken cesar salad. We were provided a free dessert and chose the chocolate eclair, which was also rather stale. Pass this place by.

First time visit. Relaxed French style food with good, polite and unobtrusive service (other restaurants take note). We shared the Carpaccio for a starter, a rare treat. Mains were good too. Surprised we were not offered bread, but provided when requested without charge.

Food and access both excellent. Friendly srptaff, great menu. Something for everyone in our party, aged 21-90

I was extremely disappointed by both the service (rude waitress with very fake smile) and the quality of food. We had the avocado toast and the Lobster brioche, both of which lacked any flavour and both arrived at the table too cold. There was also no mention of seeds placed on the avocado toast on the menu. We were both very hungry so ate and left fast. Very chaotic atmosphere for a Kensington eateries. Never again. Not the standards I expect from any small French bistro, let alone a restaurant. There are better options close by.

The dinner was fine and the staff were most attentive especially as we arrived 35 mins before our stated ETA.

I went here with my husband and son for an early evening dinner before they went to the Royal Albert Hall for a gig. There was a good range of choices on the menu plus a seasonal menu. The waitress was helpful. We were in time for cocktail hour which was a bonus. My husband should have read the menu in more detail as he didn't realise there was kimchi in the Wagyu burger bun which he hates.

We got off to a great start in this place - the waitress got our WATER order wrong. I didn’t even think that was possible. We asked for tap and they started pouring us a bottle of sparkling water. They then told us they were all out of sweet food for brunch (no pastries, cakes etc) so basically the only options for brunch were egg or egg. If you don’t want to eat a plain omelette you have to pay an extra £1.50 PER EACH filling. What I received was the saddest looking omelette, as if someone had accidentally dropped a couple stray pieces of ham as opposed to actually trying to fill an omelette (photo attached). This place can’t even fry an egg, the yolk looked like it had been hard boiled. Everything was served with thin slices of bland bread and plastic containers of butter I would expect from a cheap hotel breakfast. Honestly felt like they were making fools of us by charging us so much money for such incredibly disappointing food.

Me dijo que la cocina se había cerrado tristemente hace unos minutos, pero que le rogaría a los chefs en mi nombre. Regresó unos momentos después y me acomodó rápidamente, me dijo que tendría que atender mi pedido de inmediato o que el chef afilaría sus cuchillos. Sugirió los calamares fritos y la lubina, ya que ambos se preparan rápidamente. Ambos platos llegaron al mismo tiempo. La lubina estaba cubierta con otro plato para mantenerla caliente, mientras comía los calamares. . . . Solo con ver ese pequeño toque, significaba el mundo para mí. Tanto cuidado y comprensión.

Waitress was efficient but unfriendly. Food was mediocre. Didn’t really enjoy the food to be honest therefore didn’t feel it was money well spent. I’ve had much nicer,

Average to slow service. The calimari starter was OK but only OK, the chilli and garnish was fairly coarsely cut. The chips with the burger were barely hot enough and tasted like they had been standing around under a heater for a while. The service was OK. I will not return.

Its lovely in there. So well decorated. The ambience is nice and I had a lovely time with my friend. The staff are all super pleasant. Will go for brunch again.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated and lit. The service was fine though not great. Our waiter was polite and pleasant but did not seem to make genuine efforts to ensure we enjoyed our meals... Which we did not. The food was mediocre. None of us enjoyed our dishes. The steak was dry without the sauce - which I said I could have, despite being lactose intolerant (it was made with butter, which for some reason my body can tolerate). The fries were good though quite salty. The salads were a bit overwhelming with the pâté. The spinach that came with the fish was overcooked. <br />The cocktails were watered down. There was way too much ice in them. The flavours did not compliment each other - the drinks were either very alcoholic tasting (so overwhelming for half of my group) or too subtle and like water (even though visually, the cocktails were quite pretty). <br />The set menu is a good deal - £17 for two courses, or £21 for three - but given the food and cocktails were not delicious, I would recommend going elsewhere.

Easter friday and we were looking for somewhere to have lunch in Kensington High Street. This restaurant looked nice from the outside and when inside the decor was very good.

Visited earlier this week to get out of the rain . Made use feel very welcome even though we’re just having happy hour cocktails . Great tasting good value negronis .

Within easy walking distance from/to Royal Albert Hall, staff happy to reserve us a table at 5pm so we could eat before attending a concert. We thought the food was reasonably priced and good quality/ size of portions.

Food was good but really slow service and very poor grumpy service and the restaurant wasn&#039;t busy. Given this is a lovely restaurant with good food poorly trained sullen staff really ruin the experience, it strikes me as somewhere that the staff are poorly motivated and that usually comes from above...

I popped in for lunch and was greeted by a very moody waiter. The food was ok but not worth not worth close to. 40 pounds for a main and a dessert.

I’m a bit disappointed. Booked and asked for a table aside and got table in the middle of the restaurant, even though place was empty and there was plenty of nicer tables. People (waiters) constantly passing by, couldn’t talk properly.

Having been to a different branch before; I was expecting good food and service but was disappointed. I booked a table for my birthday at 12, at 12.30 we were told they had no French toast as they’d ran out (an all day breakfast dish). The group ordered different dishes and 4 arrived with cold poached eggs. These had to be sent back. My meal of avacado on toast came with an entire watercress plant on top which smelt like a pond, I ate 1/4 of the dish including having a couple of other people try it. I informed the waitress who spoke with the manager, I was told it was half eaten and this is how it comes. I was left without a meal. They then proceeded to charge me for this dish which I had to contest. <br />We left extremely disappointed and would not return.

Mainly went for the prix-fixe deal. It was great value for money - good quality food, portion size and decent wine.

It's a pleasant spot for a cup of tea or coffee but avoid the food. The cakes are tired an forlorn - there is a miserable display in the window which is indicative of the poor selection when you get inside.

Café da manhã excelente com grande variedade e qualidade dos alimentos. Atendimento também exemplar. Preço alto mas pela desvantagem entre a libra e o real brasileiro.

Hadde reservert bord for 4 stk, så vi var spente på om de klarte til 6 personer. På tross av mange gjester klarte de å få det til. Veldig serviceminded personale. Maten var det litt delte meninger om, men min smakte godt. Det eneste minuset er at det er veldig mye lyd i lokalet og litt for høy pris. Men det hører vel med i dette strøket av London.

Lunch meeting close to the office, good location and service was excellent. Not too crowded and noisy so I could have a business meeting. Food was tasty and will try one of the salads next time.

Met my son here for lunch and had a good meal. Service was polite and efficient. My son had a burger which is says was good, I had the brioche chicken sandwich which was average. Room felt cold but clean and bright. Convenient for High Street Kensington tube

Have been to Aubaine Kensington previously and had a good experience. On this occasion however it was disappointing. Although not busy we had three different servers. The starters were overcooked and tasteless, and the mains were unimpressive. lobster spaghetti was overcooked and rubbery, the calamari was greasy and tasteless.

Very good spot, we sat outside as the weather was not too cold, simple menu, it was very good for a drink

Fabulous attentive service, brilliant staff - a credit to the restaurant! Food was sublime, all three courses! Fabulous wine selection. Would recommend over and over again!

Wanted a special place for lunch and found Aubaine. Located on a quaint street but very close to all shops and station. Lovely decor, atmosphere. Great service. Pretty good value. Would definitely recommend if looking for place in the high street ken area.

We visit this restaurant often and find it has a pleasant atmosphere with attentive staff. The food is well presented and constantly of high calibre

Not great overall – the service was very slow, then once we had managed to order food it arrived at various different times and various levels of hot-ness. We also had to wait until after our mains had arrived to order drinks, then after a considerable wait were informed there were ingredients lacking for one of the drinks. While the manager took a small amount off our bill, I would still not recommend this restaurant to a friend.

Really lovely food! I can totally recommend the calamari and then the Truffle Ravioli 😍 The service was great, and the waitresses offered helpful suggestions.

Chilling cold (don’t think that the heating wwas working at all) and overpriced food. Would not recommend.

El hotel está muy buen ubicado, al lado de la estación de metro de Bayswater. A solo 3 min de HydePark. Lo único malo que el hotel necesita una pequeña reforma por lo demás todo muy bien

Expensive for what you get. Service was a bit slow although it was pretty empty. I would say that staff seem busy but doing other things.

Service was very good and it’s a handy location for south ken/High Street Ken and Albert Hall etc. Good wine. Atmosphere pleasant enough but overall the experience doesn’t feel as special as it used to.

Restaurant ( and lavatories) should have been cleaner. Not bad enough to make a fuss about but not really good enough. Servers were good but food was underwhelming (again, not bad enough to complain about but just not very pleasing).

Had a couple of drinks here and some nice chips, but it took a while to get to us. Service is slow and somewhat unenthusiastic. Nice decor but not particularly exciting place. Wasn’t impressed with the service charge for an already expensive round where the cocktail was very small. Good location.

We went here for a pre show dinner. The meal was over priced, and not very good quality. The meat wasn't cooked well, and it just felt like somewhere to have breakfast or lunch. Dissaponting.

On there menu they state there bakers are up very very early to bake fresh produce. So why at 11am are they out of fresh pastries. It’s a joke ! The Staff where rude and we won’t go back.

Although the restaurant was practically empty, we felt that the staff were trying to hurry us along; they cleared plates whilst we were still eating, produced dessert menus while we were still eating the main course and showed the dessert selection, again while some of us were still eating the main. The food was mixed, some of it was tasty, some was tasteless and bland. The toilets were disgustingly dirty.Overall although the restaurant was ambient enough, we wouldn&#039;t go back as we thought it was expensive for what it was.

I came here for breakfast with my siblings and was astonished at the very high prices and quite stingy portions of mediocre food. I won't be coming back in a hurry
